"I am unsure, last time there was a back door." A back door that he himself had ordered collapsed by demolition charges in order to cover their escape the last time that he was in the library. Given that he was still allowed entrance without issue at the time it was unclear if they were indeed active or not, for all he knew they had simply sat back and enjoyed the show as it were. A rather pitiful show on his part admittedly. One way or another their answer would reveal itself the moment that they stepped into the entrance chamber.

And reveal themselves they did.

Evidently they were aware of the lingering ghost that infested both his and Malum's minds, based on their little comment, with one of her lightsabers laying on the ground in front of him as proof of the deed. Not proof enough it seemed. Before he could retort the Heir of Marr spoke, albeit with a borrowed voice and words that were not his own. Both of which made the masked man's gaze immediately snap over to him as his hands clenched into fists. He would not be denied so easily. But neither would she.

"I know of the tests set in place! I know the conditions!" One of his the fingers of his clawed gauntlet pointed at the struggling Malum as he looked back at the empty stand, choosing to forgo a response to his apprentice for the moment. "We have slain a worthy Sith Lord and claimed her mantle as our own, we are just as worthy of entrance!" He practically snarled his rebuttal to the whispers as they grew in intensity, as if in debate. "By right of conquest I demand access to the Library-Temple!"

Swirls of dark smoke spun around the room, curling around one another and encircling the Sith in what one might call a strange dance. Or more akin to a predator preparing to constrict its prey. Darth Strosius barely even noticed how Falentra in particular was set upon by one of the shadows, his clenched fists shaking with wrath as he impatiently awaited a response. "One is not equal to two." They finally spoke in unison as the swirling tendrils began to coalesce and gather into thirteen figures scattered around the room.

"Darth Ophidia's words ring true. The two's worth must be tested, and their accompaniment trialed." A hiss escaped the masked man as he drew his own lightsaber and sword, glaring as his master's lightsaber on the ground slowly rose into the grasp of one of the shades as they stepped forward. The shadows solidified into Kissai Sith of old, adorned in ancient robes and ornate jewelry, and they all stepped forward in unison as the one wielding the lightsaber ignited the weapon.

"Worth is earned. Not demanded." With a roar Darth Strosius leapt at the spirit that challenged him, his own lightsaber igniting as his sword crackled with lightning. Their blades clashed once, then twice, meeting again and again in a flurry at a speed which seemed impossible for any mortal beings to accomplish. The other spirits would step forward as the duel began, some of them coming to stand between the duelists and the rest of the Sith as their yellow eyes leered at them.

"Three of your trials have been decided, the last must decide theirs." One of the Kissai noticeably seemed to vanish into the thick cloud of smoke surrounding one of the apprentices, the rest crossing their arms as 'Falentra' wielded her own blade. "Malum will be made to prove his worth as Alisteri must, in combat. Revna must choose, trial or combat?"
