With so many impressive and destructive weaponry manufactured by various companies throughout the galaxy, Nargath holdings had decided to put its top engineers and weapon specialists on this new design. The idea was to create a weapon which could combine the best of two known weapon types, by using the known technology of Umbara in the form of electromagnetic ion cannons, the AE-PC.850 was created.
Utilizing the large amounts of power from a reactor, this weapon not only superheats the gas provided by gas cannisters, but also ionizes and thus electromagnetically charges the gas, resulting in the ionized plasma blasts which make this such a devastating weapon on any battlefield and aboard any capital ship.
Early tests have concluded that a single blast from this weapon is capable of simply tearing through multilayered, reinforced durasteel and even duranium plating of the same thickness that can be found on large capital ships, with later tests also concluding that it's electromagnetic properties are both very draining on shields, as well as having the ability to shut down entire capital ships if they are hit multiple times or simply in the right spot. Truly a monstrous weapon to be feared in any naval engagement.
