The Primeval Handbook

The Primeval
-Handbook-
Introduction

The Primeval is a non-canon faction based around four principles:

  • Mystery
  • Originality
  • Inclusiveness
  • Dark Side
What this means is we're a faction that provides a mysterious undertone in all of our faction's roleplay, original concepts and plots, the ability for anyone to pursue their interests at their own pace and in their own way; and all whilst leaning towards the dark side.

This is explained further in our Information thread.

Getting Started

Most people have questions when they join a faction and I'm sure you probably do too. Following this link will take you to our official Q&A which offers answers to questions already asked and is the best way to get answers from a faction administrator. Or, if you'd prefer, you can PM a faction administrator, moderator, or owner directly if you'd like.

You can check out our staff directory here.

The next step is for you to say hello to your fellow members by introducing yourself in our very own new members section. Here you will meet some of our more outgoing and friendly members, as well as our staff who tend to say hi. Although some people--like myself--will silently recognize your arrival with a like.

Roleplay

I'm sure by now you're already eager to hop into threads and roleplay, and there's nothing stopping you, but there are many opportunities and resources available that may very well improve your experience not only in the faction but on the board as a whole.

Are you interested in ruling your very own world? You can check out The Warlords of the Primeval for information on planetary rulership and governing star systems.

If you're a force user (Jedi, Sith, Witch, etc.) you'll likely enjoy the Seekers of the Rift, a unique force order specifically for members of our faction. You can find out more about the Seekers in its official information thread and join them here.

Others may prefer being in our military/law-enforcement, the Bleeding Sun, which is open to force users and non-force users alike.

A major component to our faction's roleplay is its religion which you can learn more about here.

Once you've figured out where you want your character to be and what you want them to do, its time to look for some roleplay. Our faction does have its own roleplaying forum, but most of our roleplay is done on the community forums and is discussed here. Our most critical--and rewarding--threads are dominions, skirmishes, and invasions which are all planned and discussed in our Event Planning forum.

If you'd like to roleplay something else, all you have to do is ask! The Primeval is a faction that believes in inclusion. If you want to do a thread where you capture a space station, that's your prerogative. If you'd like to attempt to kidnap some Jedi and bring them back? Go for it. Our faction leaders do not dictate how you roleplay.

Helping Out

If you'd like to do more than just write with us, we're always looking for helpful individuals to provide insight and ideas. We have a thread specifically for setting goals and offering feedback. You can also communicate more directly with members of our forum through our Skype exchange, although we recommend that you utilize our forums as much as possible.

Members of the faction staff are selected for one reason. Qualities. We don't necessary require you to be well-known, or super active, but if you're an honest person who offers a lot of assistance to new members and step up when no one else does, you'll be recognized as a potential candidate for faction moderator or perhaps faction admin. You can learn more about how our staff works here.

Conclusion

If you believe there's information that should be added to the Hand Guide, but isn't, please reply to this comment with the feedback you wish to deliver. Please note that this is not a Q&A thread, I'll be happy to answer questions, but I probably won't be looking for questions in this thread more so than feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and please do offer feedback!
