DESCRIPTION
The Tie Reaper is a venerable dropship and transport design dating back to just before the Battle of Yavin. The design was adopted by House Mecetti in 100 ABY by utilizing expired Sienar patents, while updating it with modernized equipment from Nationalized Industries inventories. It became the special operations transport for Ministry of Inquiry operatives at that time, used when an insertion or extraction was needed to complete an operation. It has persisted in this role for centuries, updated periodically as technology marches on.

The photo-reactive coating on the hull makes the ship difficult to spot, although citizens of the Mecetti province have learned by now to look the other way when they spot one of these ships in operation. Its use of Electronic Countermeasures and Passive Sensors allows it to approach targets with a minimal detection profile. (Although it is neither invisible nor impossible to detect, merely more difficult to notice.)

While this Reaper variant was specifically adopted for the Ministry of Inquiry, other elements of House Mecetti sometimes acquire these for their own use, most notably for Navy, Marine, or Army operations requiring a low-observability insertion platform.
