Crait a small planet in a remote sector of the Outer Rim in the Galactic Alliance territory. From a distance it looked like a glowing silver orb hung on a dark sky beautiful upon closer look it was a world covered in white salt. The salt covered the blood red sands beneath when disturbed Crait looked to be bleeding.

Almost fitting considering some of the history that had played out across the surface considering what had been lost. This desolate world of salt is home to asingle creature known as the Vulptex with a white crystalline fur that lived beneath the surface in burrows and tunnels.

What did Crait offer to anyone that might stop by for a look? It was desolate and unwelcoming. The surface slippery hard to travel and gusts of wind creating salt devils that twisted across effortlessly begging to be chased. There had once been a secret out post on the northern continent. Then there were the mines where the precious minerals of Crait had been carved out.

Across Crait are mountains, canyons, and deep waterways what can be found within the crevasses, and water ways of Crait. The sprawling seas of salt, the reminders of history, Crait offers opportunity to explore it all. What will you find?

Salt flats.

Mines.

Fox.

Crait is not for the light hearted it is harsh. But what reason does anyone need other than it is there.

Welcome to Crait.

Mereel's purpose for travelling to the planet was twofold: he wanted to see a new world, and he wanted to capture a creature some drunk spacer had told him about.

A cat thing with fur made out of sparkling gems? It sounded too crazy to be real. But after questioning the legitimacy of a spacer legend concerning a castle and ghosts, he took the drunkard's claim at face value.

He set down his ARC-170 on a salt flat in the northern hemisphere of the planet. The salt flat he landed on was surrounded by scattered mountain ranges, and he had landed his fighter near the foot of one of these ranges. He had done a flyby over this range in particular in order to confirm the presence of a water source he had seen deeper in the mountains.

If crystalline cat things existed, and he was almost certain they did, he hoped that they needed to drink water just like the rest of life in the galaxy.

Tavi kneeled and stared at the white wastes of Crait. He ran his hand through the ground, and stared at the blood red stain he left in the ground. He then stared into the wastes. He had some time off from the Coalition, and had heard stories of secrets, resources, and exotic animals on the planet. So instead of relaxing on some beach or swimming in a beautiful lake, or even going back to his home on Coruscant. He decided to come here.....okay maybe he should have gone to see the that therapist.

“Too late to turn back now” Tavi said as he stood up. “Front and center boys.”

Three Cyclops droids hovered in front of Tavi. They have been for a while already.

“Git , Atom, Net time to get to work. Atom, start doing some geological and metallurgy surveys. I want to find those “precious resources.” Tavi said as he pointed at one of the droids.

“Net start doing sensor mapping and just basic scouting. Structures, landmarks, etc. Dismissed you two”Tavi said with a wave of his hand and. He set them to scout mode, and watched as the two flew off, and immediately started getting info and data through his HUD.

“NOW Git, we are going to spend some great time together.” Tavi said to the non responsive drone.

“I heard their was some weird fox things on this planet. Let’s catch one, it will provide something to do until those two find something. You in?” Tavi asked.

The drone floated with no sign of acknowledgement. Tavi frowned and took direct control of the droid. He made the droid lift up and down, like it was nodding.

“Lego then!” Tavi said as he immediately started to trek along the wastes with Git behind him.

Crait. It wasn't on the required reading list for any class he had taken. When the Coalition ship showed up carrying some of the explorers they looked at Crait like a greedy child looking at a candy jar.

Delila Castillon and Marina DeVoe had done a couple of these missions he had heard and he wondered if they were on board. He couldn't remember what either looked like probably not a bad thing. Usually he remembered names and faces easily and women expected you remember them, not matter what.

He looked at the salt covered flats around them. There was this smell in the air he couldn't tell what it was. What was he going to do now? Which thing? The outpost held the most appeal to him but he sure would love to see one of those crystal foxes he heard so much about.

Tavi should have researched this planet more before he came here. He had overlooked a crucial detail of this planet. When the winds picked up, they picked up hard! The wind had picked up on the salt flats, and flukes of salt and dust were being sent straight into Tavi’s visor. Visibility had gone down drastically. Git couldn’t even hover properly, and the salt started to get through his shell. He was now tucked away safely in one of Tavi’s puches. Tavi could hear scared beeps coming from him every now and then.

Tavi had sent orders to Net and Atom. They were to find cover and fast.He needed to find some shelter too. He didn’t consider buried alive by dust on his bucket list. Before everything went white and red, Tavi was coming goin deeper into some mountains. Hopefully there would be some cover there. Tavi jumped as some animal ran past him, the clicking sound receding as it ran away. Interesting...

How many others were on Crait today? What were they looking for, Theo looked to be giving a salute as he stood there shading his eyes looking off into the distance. They were bringing the speeders and pods out. He nodded, what did he prefer. Speeder of course.

"I'm headed to the outpost I know there won't be much there but something tells me I got to go."Sense of history maybe he loved it. With a bit of luck though he'd see his fox....would he catch one? Or would he catch them all.

Gotta catch em all!

He mounted the speeder coordinated the time and headed off. The salt sprayed up like sand he left a trail of red sand as he raced across the open plains.

Objective: Traverse mountains, find cats, ???, profit.

Theo Vereen Tavi Riley

As Mereel discovered a gradual slope that he could climb to ascend into the mountain range proper, a wind front blew in.

All around him, grains of salt were being lifted off of the ground and carried away by powerful gusts of wind. The howling of wind was accompanied by the sound of salt pelting his armor plates, and his vision of his surroundings went from excellent to osik. He sighed, and cut off his helmet's external audio feed. He still heard the grains of salt clashing against his armored form, but at least he didn't hear the roaring winds now.

As he slowly ascended the slope, he played some Alderaanian opera through his helmet and started paying as close attention to his surroundings as he could through the saltstorm. Compared to other world's he had been to, Crait seemed rather quaint. As far as he had seen, there was no foliage to speak of, yet crystal cat things were supposedly living on the planet.

The probability of life inhabiting a planet as inhospitable as Crait seemed infinitesimal. But betting against the galaxy was a fool's gambit, and he thought he could sense lifeforms in the force nearby. Cats?
