Making a decision, Kurayami headed to the nearest cantina. Might as well refill the flask while he was here and besides that meant he could get more drinks without having to resort to drinking from the flask for awhile at least. Did he need more drinks? To a casual observer, no, probably not. If you were to ask him he would tell you that one could never have enough booze, though he was not the most trusted source of information many times. Besides he was never one for extended wanderings in marketplaces, cantinas just felt like home as much as anywhere else. He chalked it up to having constantly visited them, during his stint with Aquila Squadron and after the fact during his many travels and wanderings. Needless to say it took him a lot longer than most to check up on messages from his company, most likely why it was still far smaller for having once been such a well recognized name. Oh well.

Upon entering the cantina he ordered a bottle of namana nectar, quickly pouring it into the flask, before capping it and placing it back inside the pocket in his flight jacket. Once that was secured and the flight suit's jacket properly zipped closed again, he ordered himself a Corellian ale. Not nearly as strong as what he normally drank, but it would work at least. Plus it was a good way to make friends, to buy them a drink. Of course more than his fair share of deals had gone south over a cold one as well. Best not to think on those though.

Seeing that Eliza Steele was sitting alone he figured 'Why not?' and had a drink sent to her as well. He waited until the waitress was bringing the drink over before he took the chance to approach. He caught the chair as she kicked it out, taking a seat across from her, his eyes meeting with hers. Her introduction brought a good natured laugh from him, as he leaned on the table, arms crossed behind his glass as he answered her.

"Well, I can't say that I'm disappointed to hear such a thing. Too much biting just makes it less fun, too little though, and it also isn't fun. Fine line between the two in my experience. No need to thank me for the drink, figured it works for a cheap and easy introduction. By the way, name's Kurayami Bloodborn. Who might you be? "

Taking a swig from his glass he addressed her question.

"It is a rather nice day, so I'd say the festival was well planned this year. First time in many years I've been here for it. As for why? Born and raised here, left in my 20's, thought it would be nice to visit again. See if there were any I knew long ago still hanging around."

Watching: Alasdair Sitra

Nearby: Eliza Steele, Kurayami Bloodborn

With the advent of smaller holo-recorders, CorSec had taken to placing them on some of their traffic vehicles. Everyone liked watching a good wreck or arrest right? It was a good way for holonet channels to get their views and ratings up. Adelle found it was also pretty decent entertainment, if a little frustrating. She watched the landspeeder grind to a halt in the dust, digging a trough through earth until it crashed into a boulder. The front end crumpled, steam slowly trailing up from the wreck. She shook her head as the CorSec officers hauled the suspects from the vehicle and cuffed them.

"Amateurs," she said. She turned away from the vidscreen. They had ignored protocol, didn't call for back up in a high speed chase, flew outside their jurisdiction, missed with the ion bolts several times, and finally didn't seem to be calling in emergency services to have the suspects checked out. And last she knew, the penalty for illegal swoop racing and avoiding arrest was not death: those officers had better pray pretty karking hard if they wanted to keep their jobs. Best outcome for them would be the suspects simply walking away scot-free because they'd bungled it. She took a nice draught of Corellian ale, thanking her lucky stars she was away from all that.

The cantina she sat in vibrated with life. The Harvest Festival brought out the hospitality in them, she guessed; people who just met laughing and sharing jokes over food. One guy even bought a girl on the patio a drink. Hardly saw that in the daytime anymore. Or anywhere else other than a seedy bar or club.

The three of them were being paraded.

At least that is how it felt to the young Corellian and his two, rather aggravated accomplices. They had been led through the front doors of the CorSec precinct with all the honours they possibly could, cuffs and all. Two of the officers, clearly ignoring the fact that they had nearly lost the chase were shaking hands and turning heads. It was enough to make the smirk disappear from Alasdair’s face.

“Put them in holding bay three.” They were approached by a rough looking man, about forty in age with a serious case of ‘someone burnt my face’ on the left of his head. “Except the kid. He’s free to go.”

“What?” Said one of the officers.

“What?!” Echoed Everet and Rat in unison.

“What!?!” Repeated Alasdair. Clearly someone was feeling overly generous or they were just playing with him, giving him false hope before chaining up in the torture chair for fun.

“He’s free to go, had his bail paid just before you got into the station.” Sergeant Face-burn answered, his hands reaching for his belt and pulling a set of data-keys free from their clip. “Someone has a guardian angel it would seem.” He unclasped the cuffs that were holding Alasdair’s hands together, his eyes glaring into the young racer. “I’ll warn you though kid. If I catch you racing through my zones again, I’ll save the effort of bringing you in and just shoot you.”

Alasdair smirked. “I’ll just have to make sure I go extra fast then.” Someone grabbed his arm and pulled him backwards, and the next thing he knew he was on the street of the strip. He released a long sigh, it was gonna be a long night.

“Hey there Space Cowboy.” The sweet voice of a woman filled the area nearby, “Heard you were in a bit of trouble.”

“I should have known.” Again he released a sigh, standing up and putting his hands against his hips. His eyes met the stare of a beautiful, charming and overly alluring young woman, she was dressed in a dazzling attire that screamed class and refinement. “What do you want Catrinna?”

It was great to be home again. After several weeks in Hutt Space running contraband for the hutts she was finaly able to go home, to see her so missed brother again. Having shared a meal and a couple of hours at the Harvest Festival together before he headed off to work at the shipyard.

She entered the cantina and took the few steps down to the main floor with rather unexpected elegance, considering her rather rugged looks in her practical smugglers attire. The cantina was busy. Very busy. A thought of her youth crossed her mind for a second. Those days were long gone, sure... but even so she'd rather not bump into some of her old 'acquaintances'. Her brown eyes searched for somewhere to settle down, as two rodians left their table in the corner she was quick to occupy it. She leaned back and kicked up her feet to rest on the other chair before bringing out her datapad from the jackets inside pocket. Checking the logs and balances from the last trip, while the lekkus rested on her chest, tops slightly twirling.

Her stay in Hutt Space have generated in some good credits and valuable contacts. The hutts paid well, if you kept your word and completed the job. Though, Tan wasn't fond of their ways and precense but after all, who was?

A serving droid came forth asking her if she wanted anything.

''Yeah...'' she thought of the beverages, and choosed to stay on the safe side. ''Get me a bottle of Ebla beer.'' And the droid cruised off through the cantinas guests to fetch her order.

Everything was new, but also old. The former was enforced by unnatural events, the latter was forced to make people feel more at home. The ground had shook during a one hour interrogation with CorSec officers. That was apparently common since the planet's actual crust had been cracked in several places during the Netherworld crisis. The latter was because he still had a public record and they wanted to know exactly what he was doing here.

One of the refugee fleet ships was planning on returning to make a go of living off some of the reclaimed land. Because he had - or was borrowing - a very safe long range ship was available for paid transports he had taken a group ahead to do some negotiating.

Now he had very little to do but explore the markets. Old stalls, old festival, very new buildings. Skreech jumped down off his shoulder.

"No stealing!" Xin called out after him. It turned out the monkey-lizard did speak quite a lot of basic. Or at least he had after he had come out of a period of mourning for his last master.

"No stealing!" Skreech called back. Whether that meant he understood it was merely mocking Xin's tone was anyone's guess.

Sam had been moving along quietly and slowly she was looking for something particular to eat today something that welcomed her home. The tradition ryschcate cake was in a few places but that made her think of her family. She thought about them alot she didn't need a celebration cake to remind her again.

There were voices carrying across the crowds folks yelling a greeting, catching up with an old friend Sam was stretching out to see if she knew anyone she thought she heard a familiar voice it sounded like Delila Castillon her ex-sister in law but was she here?

It was then that she ran right into Eliza Steele , "OH my, I'm so sorry...I wasn't paying attention." Feth feth feth that's what she got for not watching more closely and she knew better. She smiled, "I hope I didn't ruin anything." She tried to look around but her line of sight was blocked.

The cantina was still well crowded and Tan's eyes went from looking down in to her datapad to occasionaly observing the folks around. She was interrupted by the serving droid placing the opened Ebla beer on the table. She glanced up and paid the droid, smiling slightly.

''Thanks.'' And the droid left to continue it's busy evening.

Tan grabbed the bottle, took a couple of well-deserved sips before setting it down and continued browsing the datapad, thoughtfully running her middle finger around the bottles opening. She was too sleep at her brothers place tonight, which was a stroll away from the cantina. The night was young, though. As long as none of her old 'friends' turned up she was fine here. She had heard that many of them had left town, and even Corellia.

"Steele, Eliza Steele," the brunette answered, then gave her dark head a friendly nod towards the man.

"Nice to meet you, Kurayami Bloodborn. It is indeed a nice day for this event. I was born and raised for a bit in Tyrena, though have spent most of my life spacing. Haven't been back since that fateful day the ol' girl got split in two. Just couldn't bring my self to come back until now."

A long, mindful sip of ale helped to settle some emotions wanting to bubble up inside. Eliza still wanted this all to be just a bad dream and to awake from it to find Corellia as it was... But that wasn't the reality of it, and it was something to just accept in order to move on and appreciate what Corellians did have to celebrate.

"So... Have you seen any of your old gang yet?" the petite smuggler asked just as the waitress brought over her ordered bowl of nerf nuggets and buckwheat noodles with rancor sauce drizzled over the top.

The spirited Corellisi's mouth was watering as chocolate drop orbs hungrily looked over the delectable dish; the spicy aroma wafering about the table. Eliza spread one of the white flimsi napkins across her lap, then picked up the metal utensil left next to the bowl. Dark eyes looked up from her food and she gave Kurayami an apologetic shrug.

"Would you care for some?" she offered her table partner not wanting to be unkind eating in front of him, but suddenly someone ran into Eliza's chair pushing her forward, making the table shake. Quick reflexes saved her ale bottle that was beginning to tip over into the food.

After disaster averted, Steele turned to see who was the culprit. I mean wasting good booze was a big offense, right? Eyes glared at Samantha Solo for a moment, then calmed down into a more questioning look.

"Do I know you?" the petite smuggler asked the dark haired woman.

"Pleasure to meet as well you Miss Steele."

Returning the nod, he raised his glass towards her before taking another sip. She had been here on the day the planet was split? Hot damn, that had to be hard to witness. He couldn't blame her for staying away, for him it was more fear of what he would find when he returned, however it seemed things were far better than he had anticipated.

"So you were here when the planet was split? I was fortunate enough to be far off, fighting a war that I had no vested interest in. They needed disposable pilots and that is a niche my unit filled well. Except they ended up having to pay us because we proved difficult to kill. Only thing that was deducted from our pay was losing a ship. Once I heard about the cataclysm, I felt no need to return to see an asteroid field. Like you I wandered for a long while, something in the Force called me home, still not entirely sure why."

Her question brought a strange reaction from Kurayami, not a smile or frown, but a hint of sadness in his eyes might have been noticed before he averted his gaze, as he stared down at the glass in his hand. He stared at it as though it would grant him visions of whatever he wished. His voice oddly had the same warm tone from before, but there was an undertone of defeated acceptance in it as well.

"Nah, haven't seen any of them. Got in contact with a retired CDF officer I had worked with a couple of times. Nothin' he knew Tried Corsec, but they had nothing of those people after the split. My old squadmates...well I know what happened to them and they certainly aren't showin' up anytime soon. Family got the same answer, silent after the split. I don't expect to run into them, either they left...or they didn't make it through. Whichever it is isn't what's important to me, I just hoped for some form of closure. And I did find that in a sense, at least enough that I can let go of it now.

When her food arrived he shook his head at the offer of sharing, as kind as it was of her. He'd eaten on the way here, so it was fine. He might need a snack in a bit, but otherwise all was well.

"Thank you, for the kind offer..."

Before he could finish what he was saying to Eliza Steele when she was bumped into by Samantha Solo, who seemed a bit lost in her own thoughts. He wasn't upset with her, chuckling at the response and apology offered.

"I wouldn't say you interrupted anything ma'am. Well perhaps a small interruption of my new acquaintance's meal. otherwise I think all is well. Looks like no harm no foul to me."

Truth was she had interrupted his confusing train of thoughts and introspection, but that was something he was quite thankful for.

The shimmering lights carried across the slowly darkening setting, the neon glow of countless signs and billboards trying to draw the attention of the unsuspecting walker or tourist that endlessly moved through the centre of what was lovingly known as the Blue Sector.

Yet none of it even came close to her.

“Why are you here?” Alasdair would ask again towards the stunning beauty that was before him. Her piercing eyes swallowing him hole, just as they always did before. He wanted to run up to her, grab her and never let her go.

“I’ve missed you.” It hit him like a mag-train with a booster, his usually cocky demeanour disappearing before her to show the young vulnerable kid he still was. “I heard you had got into some trouble and—“ She moved her eyes from him to look towards a floating light of a passing floating billboard.

“—and what?—“

“I still owe you.” She finished, closing the gap between her and the young man who nervously changed his positioning to be stood more casually then he needed to be. Her hand, covered in bright rings that glowed with artificial holograms to appear more elegant then they actually were, brushed against his, which were securely hanging from his pockets.

“Catrinna.” He muttered, fully aware of her body pressing against his. He couldn’t deny how much he had thought of this in the time they had been strangers. “Don’t. You can’t.”

“I can.” She practically whispered into his ear sending shivers down his spine. “Walk with me.”

The Blue Sector was the seediest, shabbiest and most crime ridden part of the entire city. Packed full of cantinas, tattoo parlours, hotels, brothels and most famously casinos, it was a dense mishmash of commercial and residential zones that had fallen under the sway of gang after gang to the point that other then the CorSec precinct that sat within the centre of the sector it was a lawless run of town. However there was always money to be made within this almost criminal empire. Residents and Tourist alike flooded the streets on a daily basis, searching for that delight or want of their dreams, mixing with the planets unhappy youth who used the sector as a thrill seeking amusement park.

Alasdair used to be one, if not still was. Running the abandoned tunnels of industry in souped up swoops that were no more then an engine with some handles. He learnt his way here in the streets and it was here that made him into the risk taking young scoundrel he was today. Catrinna however, she was different. Where Alasdair dreamt big and beyond the clouds that were full of festival fireworks she kept her notions within the sector. She wanted influence, influence and power, it was this that had forced them apart so many times before.

“Why are you hanging with a band of misfits like those two back there?” She asked of the young Corellian, tightening the grip she had on his hand. “What happened to the solo days of charm and charisma.”

“They helped get me off the street. Gave me something to work on.” He answered simply with a smirk. His eyes ignoring the ever changing displays of the open-air market place they had started to move through. Treasure ship row it was called, part bazaar, part black market and all legitimate. “It beat living outta a box.”

She sighed and gave a passing group of humans a quick smile. One of them catcalling back towards her as they passed. Her grip tightening on Alasdair as she felt him tense. “Not worth your time.” She would say with a peck on his cheek. “I know a place. We can run the old ten-fives.”

“I’m not getting involved in one of your cons.” He stopped, pulling at her hand. “I’m legit now, I have a job, I’m not some street kid who needs to cheat for food.”

“Yet you’ll risk your neck on an illegal swoop race?” She had him. “Come on. One little game, we can take enough to get us through the night.” Again she came close to him. “Together.”

“Fine. One run.” He nodded.

“You won’t regret this.” She pulled him along with a devilish smile. “I promise you.”

Starchaser was trying to not be so obvious of what he was. But he was pretty interested in finding out more about Coci’s friend. The Silver Jedi Master had her kid here, and that was something, but Coren knew they were going to have to link up about the Jedi Orders shortly. Between the New Jedi Order, the Remnant, the Republic Jedi, Silvers, and Greens, Jedi were all over the place. Linking them together was important. But right now? It was a celebration, not time for work.

“Pleasure Miss Castillon,” he grinned as he shook her hand. “So, native Corellian, then?” He gave her a glance, interested on her answer.

That was when he heard the call. Stealing? Coren looked up, the Force being reached to. He was going to need to find the person, but, was it really his issue? He turned his head back towards Dellila and quirked an eyebrow. “Seems we’ve got a situation here.” His table would be fine. Most had a pistol.

Son still on his carrier attached to him, Julius strolled the area after finishing a caff, and smiled, talking to the lad. He had his eyes, but his mothers face dominated, except for an already sly grin that Keira Ticon kept telling him was just a reaction to being gassy at that age. He didn't notice Coren Starchaser yet, but was speaking with a merchant down in the plaza in front of them, showing the lad a group of sand cats. They would make a fine and loyal pet, just like the tailring that had settled on his shoulder.

With a cocked head, the toddler reacher up and yanked at the tiny beast's nose, and the miniature drake merely roared and licked the hand that had yanked at it, causing the merchant to laugh, and Julius too, shaking his head pleasantly as he watched the kittens play, and noticed his son eyeing a tawny one in particular. Indicating that one, and that they'd be back later, Julius paid the man and began walking, tailring on his shoulder, and his son in a harness on his chest babbling to the beast and he himself smiling and radiating contentment, a very odd sight for any that knew him particularly well.

"Oh I have three children, although Nina and Théo are grown up now, Thirdas came late to us",she said with a smile to her son. She gave him her approval to go find something to eat, nice and sweet, she did not see Dells hand him some extra credits, and now he had more when she gave him some to go find something. The Festival was busy indeed, more and more people filing into the food market, as it was that time of the day or night?she could not tell with time passing as it did, and the lights of the Festival drowned out natural light.

When suddenly Coren Starchaser showed up, she was delighted to see him again and smiled. "You look well Coren", she placed a hand on his arm with friendship and caring for seeing an old friend again.Although he had moved on years ago from the Silver when they first met, he would always be one in her eyes, it was the way of things then, to her at least.

Old friendship reignited, new ones to develop, just a Corellia was doing now. It seemed that Jedi from all walks of the galaxy had come here, even if only in part, this Festival seemed to bring them together.

Coronet City

Corellia.

Harvest Festival

Admittedly, Symara hadn't been home in a long time, and with good reason.

Too many memories.

She had been running from this place ever since the Cataclysm.

She lost her wife, her daughters, and mothers all at the same time. It was a lot to take in, and a lot to process and she supposed - you couldn't run forever and eventually, you had to go home. And here she was, aboard a brand new Corellian 1500. Lavali and Mathieus and a few of the old Firemane girls packed in with her, "and this is where we start again." It had been a long time, ever since they defected from Firemane Paramilitary, and ran mercenary for a short time, returned to some semblance of armed forces with Commenor before running to help the Galactic Alliance at Varonat. Here they were, and just as the ship broke through the atmosphere, "this is it."

"Home sweet home, mhmm?" Lavali asked with a smile, "well, as they might say on Balmorra, es mi casa en su casa."

"Something like that," Symara answered with an amused look as she looked out the viewport and Coronet came into view, "how are we lookin' up there?"

Their pilot, Xarielle Pavanos gave them a thumbs up, "lookin' good, checkin' with ports now and we are clear to dock."

4Y7Fmjn.png

"What do we do now..." Kala asked while twirling a little harvest bracelet around, "... Symara?"

Symara peeled herself off of Lavali and gave a sheepish grin, "right, so food, music, have fun c'mon kids."

The squad looked at one another and dispersed, "you'll need to tell them at check-in." Lavali reminded Symara as she kissed the side of the Corellian's face, before sliding her hand into Symara's and threading their fingers. Symara and Lavali walked hand in hand and approached the centermost portion of the festival.

"Probably, yeah, but for now let's let them have it, y'know?" There was a nod of agreement, the pair continued to walk and soon blended into the crowd.

Delila nodded along, watching as Coci Heavenshield interacted with Coren Starchaser . Most likely another Jedi judging by the way the two were interacting. A Jedi with misplaced intentions it seemed. If someone was stealing were they obligated? Always with their overblown sense of entitlement, barging into situations and creating more trouble than was originally there. She was going to reply but it seemed one Mr. Starchaser was interested in finding the culprit.

Technically she wasn't able to do much. Her current position was Security Consultant to the Royal House of Alderaan. Missing the field, she had been entertaining offers from CorSec and other agencies in addition to her current duties. It was something she was still mulling over, unsure of the right path yet. Still her eyes fell out onto the marketplace, apparently just missing Samantha Solo . There was a shrug on her part before walking into the crowd, curious to see if the Jedi heard correctly.

It didn't take long for her to spot one Xin Boa , distinctive due to the pattern of tattoos that littered his upper body. Dells hadn't expected to run into the Nautolan. Did she mention Harvest Week? Doubtful but she was unsure. Weaving through the crowd she came up beside him, still laden down with her jam.

“You're a sight for sore eyes Squidly.”

Amusement colored her features. There was a slight nudge against him as she went to further tease. Potential thief forgotten for a moment, wouldn't want to get in the way of Starchaser swinging his lightsaber around.

“Following me? You sure don't seem the Harvest Festival type.”

His head turned sharply at the familiar voice. Headtails swung out wide. No feathers or colourful decorations today, just plain leather. They were the straps he had made in the workshop during his time in prison. There were some faint etchings that matched his tattoos in the leather.

"Hey!" His face lit up with a broad grin and he stepped through the crowd towards her. "Nuh, just dropping off some Corellians fram de fleet."

As he took another step closer he stumbled as something struck his back. The familiar prickle of claws digging in to his shoulder. Skreech hadn't gone far. The monkey lizard took a bite out of a piece of fruit.

"I said nuh stealing!" Xin protested.

"No stealing!" Skreech agreed with a nod.

"Well yuh don't have pockets so..."

The monkey lizard held up a few spare credit chits with his other paw.

Xin narrowed his eyes. "Nuh stealing from mi too."

"Stealing from squidly to pay Paul!" Skreech cried before leaping from his shoulder and darting back towards the market. He had not given him the credit chits back.

Xin's gaze slowly panned back towards Dells. His expression scrunched up in embarrassment.

"Brak...taught him dat word."
