In all his many years of political service, Jaius had never been so overwhelmed by his surroundings as the first day he stepped foot once more on Alliance soil after his time as a prisoner of war. That being said, his first steps onto the bridge of the massive Jedi mothership certainly was starting to give that cherished memory a run for its money.

He had of course been on a ship's bridge before, some of the most impressive even in both the Defense Fleet and First Imperial Navy. But the elder Sullustan's present surroundings more closely resembled a cathedral than the main control room of a starship. He supposed he would have to get used to such things as newly elected GA Chief of State.

Chief Jaius Sovv, the title would certainly take some getting used to. But his escape from First Order custody had roughly coincided with the end of Caita Xan's term and her announced retirement, and to his genuine surprise people saw him now as something of a war hero. Now, here he was, with the weight of the Core Worlds upon his shoulders.

"Captain Ro, what is our status?" Sovv paused, considering, "Forgive me, do I call you Captain?"

"Advance scouts have just given the all clear, Alderaan's orbit has been deemed safe enough to approach at sublight," the Kel Dor Jedi who in 'command' of the mothership reported, "And my title is Temple Master, but if it makes you feel more comfortable you may call me Captain."

"Master Ro, then," he amended, and the Kel Dor nodded serenely in acceptance.

Just a few scant weeks into his tenure when the Alliance once more came under crisis. This great galactic war raged on, the peace loving Free Worlds Coalition its latest victim. Long had these peoples been allies of the Triumvirate in spirit, the Alderaanian embassy on Coruscant serving to solidify ties over the years, so when Aldera burned, each of them felt as if they themselves had been struck the blow.

There had been a few reluctant voices within the Triumvirate Council, protectionists and isolationists within both the military and civilian government, but Jaius had not been chosen to lead based on the same platform of non violence and non interference that had gotten him elected to the Sullustan Council. His time as a prisoner had changed him, in more ways than one. As much as he was loathe to admit it, there was much he had learned from Natasi Fortan about not only pragmatism, but the benefits of focused aggression.

"Our first priorities are to help secure Aldera and locate the Royal House," Chief Sovv paced back and forth while he spoke, "From there we can work on restoring order across the rest of the surface, and purging any remaining Sith forces from this sector. Master Ro, is our humanitarian relief force ready to go?"

"The command has already been given," the Jedi answered dreamily, "As soon as we have established a base of operations and deemed its surroundings secure, civilian and Jedi aid will be cleared for launch."

Jaius tilted his head at the Jedi Master for a moment, confused about when such an order could possibly been issued, but then realization suddenly dawned on him. Of course, it was a telepathic bridge crew. No wonder it was so unnervingly quiet in here. Ro was the only other sentient who had spoken a word since his arrival.

"Very well, I will conduct a final personal inspection," he announced, still getting used to this newfound power to make such proclamations, "We may be Alderaan's only hope."

"Why is it that the Triumvirate saw me fit to be used as some sort of fleet-in-being in the whole FWC debacle? I could have drawn some of those Sithies away from Alderaan, Balmorra and into Kuat, or Hapes even"

"Admiral, you may complain all you want about what you perceive as the misuse of your command, new orders have arrived" Tanith retorted.

"As soon as we have established a base of operations and deemed its surroundings secure, civilian and Jedi aid will be cleared for launch"

"All squadrons, load the heaviest ion bombs you can; we need to establish a beachhead and fight the stragglers the Sith left behind so that medvac and the rest of the relief convoy can get down there and help the survivors of the Sith attack, single-reactor ignition; set course for Alderaan!"

"Roger, roger" the captain of the Potentate acknowledge.

That was simply horrifying. Her inability to get the Triumvirate's support to get Therapy Command to intervene to Kuat may have cost the planet, which, in turn, may have cost the FWC on Hapes as well. I would have needed a therapist myself; when I was a therapist, I was not very good, but I still managed to help some patients, somehow, until malpractice came, she thought, while realizing that she went from an inept therapist to an admiral running the Alliance's medvac. Not only that, but escorts are necessary for performing medvac duties of that nature. Meanwhile, ion bombs are being loaded on all bomber squadrons Therapy Command brought in for escort duty so that a beachhead can be established to help out the Royal House of Alderaan rescue the rest of the planet, while hyperspace jump has been initiated. And hopefully some of those new ships are going to be deployed here, much like the Potentate, which is her flagship for this mission. Just not any of those battlecruisers. As the flotilla made its approach towards Alderaan, with only a fraction of what she intended to take to Kuat...

First Wave

Low Orbit, Alderaan

A lot of work had to be done to shore up the defenses of the Alliance. They really were the last bastion of good in the galaxy. The Coalition was there, sure, but they were a lawless area that Coren frequented. The peace was kept there but they had allowed others in, which may not be the worst of choices. The same with the Silvers and their close relations with the Confederacy.

And Coren had Karren Trask on his side. He thought. He knew that she was a Jedi, and someone who was off the deep end, but she had the thought to be on the right side of history. He would be using the Dark Templar to the best ends he could find. Sentinels needed to use the whole range of people they had in their network. He was going to need to get out there and see what they were doing, how they were handling the borders.

He could use them.

But now? No, he was aboard the new Jedi Flagship, the Shield of Light. There was work to be done and the sentinel needed to help with securing the planet of Alderaan.

A world once destroyed, brought back as a result of some Vong forming and a golden age of the galaxy. A nice gesture, for sure. But now it was a place that had an infestation. Sith had been on the world. Had he been existing in another world, Sith would have been his favored enemy, but now? No. Now there weren’t bonuses for that. Now it was just the job. Inside the landing craft, Coren held onto the webbing. In his Starhawk armor, lightsaber and light shield. A pistol on his hip and a blaster rifle magnetically sealed to his armor.

There was a small outpost of Sith and the team he had assembled in the landing craft had opted to go there. It was nice that Coren didn’t need to influence anyone with the Force for that. He’d fail at that. But still, the ship knew what the plan was, and no words were being spoken, not yet.

Trextan sat on the remains of an imperial walked. It wasn't the one he had brought down by cutting into the cockpit from above. Such tight confines had ensured that some of the walkers had pushed on into ambushes. Between his teeth he had a compact servo-driver. His left, artificial arm was across his lap with a small compartment open. It would take a great deal to damage the phrik arm, but an impact had damaged some of the internals and he was trying to work out how much. Choli had told him that he had needed to learn how to do maintenance on himself. He supposed there was some logic there, it needed more care than the rest of his body.

He found the loose connection that had knocked the secondary battery out of action. He set down the tool that was in his mouth and found a multi-tool in his pockets.

"Seeing you both fighting makes me realise I need more practise," Trextan said. They were all coated with grime and masonry dust from the bombardment. Korr and Talith had cut through enemy forces with such effortless grace. He had thought his own abilities were reaching their peak, but there was clearly much still to learn.

"At least we didn't need to find a shuttle." The shapes of imperial cruisers in low orbit had been replaced with Alliance Trimirans. "That curse is actually real?" he asked.

"It is." Aela said as she cast a glance around the scattered remains of Imperial Troopers.

The assault had been repelled, or perhaps it hadn't exactly ever really started. Her lips thinned for a moment, the lightsaber cradled in her fingers rolling slightly before she slipped the weapon back into it's holster on her thigh.

Her gaze swept over the battlefield, sticking to several of the walkers that had been downed by Ryan before they slowly moved back towards Jacen's son. The boy had done well in this fight, though she supposed that wasn't much of a surprise. It would stand to reason that her friend's child would be as skilled as he was in battle. A small smile touched her lips, and briefly she wondered if Jacen would ask for a status report on just how Trextan had done in the fight.

The thought was an amusing one. Perhaps she would create a report card as she had done for some of the children on Wroosti. "Comes from my grandfather."

Aela had explained it once or twice to others who had asked. A shrug rolled over her shoulder as she wandered over towards Trextan, eyes settling on his arm.

"He left us a lot of things." She frowned. "Not many of them good."

"Jerrid, DON'T!" She shouted, as she ran the short distance to him.

Her brother's songsteel blade were about to be plunged in the poor man laying there among the rubble...wounded...bleeding.

"Jerrid...please.... p..please..." Her voice quavered as her brother showed no emotion, kicking the man's hand aside which was up, seemingly begging for his life.

Marina approached closer. It were without a shadow of a doubt one of the armored invaders. Her breathing were as laborious as the fallen soldier, trying to hold on to life. Then in the corner of her peripheral, she picked up another body...then three among and around the rubble. The area was littered with bodies. Many had succumbed to heavy repeater fire..like strafe from a fighter. "Oh no...please god..don't let it be...." She silently prayed.

Marina didn't want to believe it were her brother whom had done this.

"Oh my God....Jerrid you..-" but before she could finish the accusation, she were cut off.

"They are blind sycophants, Marina" He shouted back to her.

"Turn and go back to the ship...go home."

"N...no.

No you can't do this...you forget who we are?" She were pleading as she neared closer..hoping to stop him.

"....Jerrid, please....no JERRID!" She screamed nearly jumping out of her skin as he plunged the blade through the armor and into the man's heart.

Immediately she convulsed...vomitingand falling to her knees, at the moment his blade slid into the man's chest.

"Gasp..." She was startled as her brother's hand came to rest on her shoulder. She pushed it away.

"Why?!...." She blurted out.

"It's over!..

They're gone!...why keep killing them!" She sobbed as the fallen man's hand fell to the ground next to him... as his life gave way to death.

Her eyes were too blurry to see her brother's face, as he pulled her up off her feet. Her futile struggle to free herself from his hand did little, till he let go.

She wiped her tears, then the remnant of vomit from her lips.

Marina had spotted her brother's fighter near the ruble and had landed her own ship there to see if she could help him. Only she bared witness to his killing of the enemy wounded. The blaster fire that had brought many down were evidently from his fighter and she now realized he had landed to finish the job...her own flesh and blood, mercilessly taking life.

"Take your ship and go home, Marina." he was adamant in his words, like they were orders.

She pulled her arm free and stepped back..looking at him like never before.

"Who are you?!" She screamed at him.

They had shared the same womb, had grown up inseparable as children.

Korr snorted.

Grandfather Talith happened to be the former Dark Lord of the Sith, Moridin. Ryan could only imagine what a man like that must have left his heirs.

Yet should not I, of all people, understand?

To inherit the blood of the Vahla was to inherit restlessness, fury, and an implacable pull to the Dark Side.

He wondered if Trextan could understand. The boy said he needed more practice and for some reason that ate at Korr. Practice so he could become a killer, just like them: people whose hands were only suited for war.

Trextan was still just a kid, maybe a year older than Ryan had been when he started training under Marcello. In him, Ryan saw none of his own aimless fury, but a sort of hopeful naivety.

He pursed his lips and stared off into the distance, thinking.

"Enemy fleet detected!" the sensor technician reported in, detecting two destroyers.

"Microjump the Skors behind the enemy destroyers, and have them split their fire between the enemy destroyers, have the gravity well generators centered on the enemy destroyers; also, drop the ion bombs some good distance away from the enemy fighter screen, return towards the main fleet and start jamming the enemy sensors"

Now that the two destroyers, the Marr and the Angral, were identified, the two Skors microjumped behind them, out of standard turbolaser range, and then began firing at those two destroyers, while the remaining 12 squadrons of enemy fighters formed a screen around the fleet, the Marr was in the crosshairs of the Potentate's giant proton beam cannon, with a humongous green beam belching out of the Potentate's bow towards the Marr, threatening its own bow, given the beam's trajectory. Meanwhile, the Angral was fired at by a variety of long-range weapons and, since the main fleet was out of standard turbolaser range, the enemy escorts, such as the Eradicator and the two Shards, were advancing much faster towards the Kro Var and will end up towards standard turbolaser range of the escorts, in which case the two C-9980s opened fire on the nearest Shard. And yet, the sea of ion bombs advancing at X-Wing speeds, and accelerating thanks to gravity fields, began to take their toll on the enemy shields, because unlike guided munitions, unguided ion bombs were not showing up on the enemy sensors amid the jamming Therapy Command generated, and they couldn't see it until too late. Until they detonate, causing many enemy missiles already fired to hit their own ships. With large dents to the shields, if not soft firepower kills.

Shield of Light

New Jedi Order Star Temple

Alderaan System

Jaius Sovv

Once again, Kaine and the Sith could not resist reducing an enemy world to cinders. The strike against Kuat, Balmorra, and Alderaan had sufficiently destabilized the Free Worlds Coalition to the point where the entire thing had collapsed, along with rumored rebellions in the Hapes Consortium and the last one escape her at the moment. Immediately, the Alliance had mobilized resources to help secure Alderaan, with plans to have it act as staging area for relief to other affected systems.

It was also the first time she was able to tour one of the new Star Temples for the New Jedi Order fleet. Omai Rhen had initially been opposed to the idea, citing costs and how it was a more extreme idea than even he was willing to embrace. With his death however, she and Master Starchaser had seen more merit to the idea. It had, surprisingly, not taken much pressure on the Alliance contractors to build the first two, with another three in construction at Fondor and Yag'Dhul. Her own company had provided the critical component to power everything.

The Star Temple's crew was also a... proof of concept as it were for what she and Master Starchaser were championing in regards to reforms to the New Jedi Order. Every Jedi, from the Temple Master to the Padawans that were part of the crew, were trained alongside Alliance naval personnel for six months. On top of that, each was trained in the art of a Jedi Battle Meld to increase the efficiency of the crew and to help with any given situation a crew member might face.

It was a start at least.

Arriving on the bridge, she stepped up next to her Sullustan colleague on the Alliance Triumvirate and Temple Master Ro. Still an odd thing to think of.

"I think these turned out quite nicely, don't you think Jaius?" she said, smiling serenely. "I'm still unsure why Grand Marshal Rhen, may his spirit find peace in the Force, was against constructing them. Temple Master Ro, SIS has located a lingering Sith presence on the other side of the world, likely a remaining looting force. I would prefer we dealt with them to test the Star Temple's capabilities, rather than Admiral Thuku's command."

There would be an ever so slight pause at the end, a discreet sign of disapproval of the Twi'lek. The incident in orbit over Sullust was not forgotten, or the rush to Varonat.

"Oh," Trextan replied. That hadn't been the answer he had expected. When Jacen had joked about being in a shuttle with her he had...been joking. An actual curse.

Aela seemed to be taking a breath after the battle. Korr, by comparison, had become deeply pensive. Trextan gave a quirk of the eyebrows at Aela's comment and returned to his arm. Even if he couldn't reconnect the secondary battery he would at least continue to have full use of the limb. It seemed like such a long time since he had lost the arm. Jacen always said the opposite. He was very old. It felt like a part of him now. Just wasn't the same part he had lost.

He hadn't seen several experienced Jedi in battle before. Trextan knew how the code went, but he couldn't remove himself entirely from emotions. He was well aware that the rage that had been cultivated by the Sith on Coruscant was still there, but he felt he had a lid on it. He allowed himself to feel a modicum of pride.

"We didn't find any sith though," he reflected before putting the multitool back in his mouth and trying to click the connection pins back together.

They hadn't, something that concerned her more than a little bit. Her lips thinned for a moment, and then finally a shrug rolled across her shoulders. "They were here."

She was more than sure of that. The darkness that had crept through Alderaan, the feeling of fear, more than one Sith had been present on this world. Her lips thinned and she glanced over towards Ryan before turning. She reached back and pulled her sword from it's place on her back, sitting herself down next to Trextan and placing the blade between them.

It always shifted too much when she sat and kept it in place.

"Most likely their Dark Lord called for a retreat." Why that was she couldn't have said. "Your father and I encountered him on Kraysis."

She glanced to Trextan's arms again. "It was an underwhelming experience."

Much like this battle.

Faith sat in the middle of the floor in tears. She had watched so much happen from this place of security. Once again Sith had come and while they seemed to have shaken the buildings to their very foundations the early warning had gotten many of the citizens into shelters. Even now they waited for the all clear from the Alderaani forces that had survived.

There was a rumor not yet confirmed that Captain Lindsey her long time Captain of the Guard had been killed protecting the palace. Faith was unwilling to accept this until presented with evidence that it was indeed a fact. The Thranta riders had provided information that there had been a massing in the Juran Mountains, many of the noble houses including Panteer had homes in the mountains. Was Caleb safe? Was Ana?

Claire had been in New Crevasse City, was she safe?

There were reports coming in that there was still activity in Jurrano who could she send that had not already endured losses? She looked to the few guards with her she could see in their eyes the pain they were trying to hide behind the helmets. Where was Theo?

So many questions yet.

"mam" a soft whisper behind her, "we have word that Theo never made it planet side his patrol with the Rangers kept him from harm." Faith nodded thank the goddess for small favors.

Claire? Was she alright? Then something else her parents..Marina....the list seemed endless as to who she needed to reach out and find. She had to remember though as much as she was thinking like this, so were countless others.

"I want to talk to my father and mother." In these moments she wanted something that felt secure. "Get me transportation to New Aldera..I need to be there.." Faith slowly stood up looking around at her staff. They needed something too.

"First check on your families, second know that we will come back from this. It's who we are, they knock us down, we get up come back stronger. More determined. We do not let them change who we are."Though she had to admit how many times could they be knocked down?

Within the hour Faith was standing in front of the twisted gates leading to the palace. Survivors already coming and asking questions, looking for words of hope, for supplies, and word on their families.

"Yes we have sent word out to other parts of Alderaan help is coming. The efforts were concentrated on New Aldera, New Crevasse, and Juranno. We can move to the other cities until we rebuild...transports are coming in...yes.." Faith was fielding questions as fast as she could it was overwhelming but she needed to stand there and take it.

How many of the High Council were in New Aldera? Did the Coalition members get away?

"The Eradicator is within standard turbolaser range of the Kro Var, admiral! It appears to be " the captain of the Kro Var reported.

"Tractor the Eradicator, point it towards the Angral and then reverse polarity, full power!"

With a few enemy fighters being caught within the resulting ion cloud, the time has come to dispatch the remaining enemy ships, some of them having suffered soft firepower kills as their forward shields were downed by the barrage of heavy ion bombs. The enemy was hastily attempting to restore a measure of order to their shields, by engaging double-front, to avoid any further firepower kills on the forward quarter, but they left themselves vulnerable to flanking attacks on their aft quarter, with the Skors taking out one engine on each of the destroyers by HVC fire. Meanwhile, the proton beam cannon was being recharged with single reactor ignition, and the first Shard was taking heavy shield damage, but the enemy fired everything that wasn't firepower-killed at the Potentate and the Kartharage, as the enemy destroyers began to enter standard turbolaser range of the main Alliance fleet. Which made the Eradicator, under the effects of the tractor beam, come like a wrecking ball at the Angral's port, punching a hole into the enemy destroyer, and also causing the cruiser to be cut in two by the sheer force of the impact, with crewmembers being vented on both sides. And debris began to pierce more holes into the hull of the destroyer as a result.

"Damage report"

"We're taking heavy shield damage!" the chief engineer of the Potentate reported, while point-defense was hard at work shooting down the remaining enemy missiles.

"Potentate, Kartharage, Kro Var, concentrate your fire on the Marr! We have to press the attack on multiple vectors now that the enemy is using double-front; have the fighter squadrons drop their second bombs on the underside quarters of the remaining ships, far enough away from them to avoid the point-defense, but close enough to attract enemy fighters on them, with the bombers concentrating on the Shards"

"Roger, roger"

To achieve that, the fighters entered a 45-degree downward movement relative to the destroyers' plane, and then pulled up 90 degrees to drop their payload, which, if the plan came to fruition, would make the bombs approach the enemy destroyers at an angle. Would that angle be the right one to evade the double-front or not? It will primarily depend on their motion. But then the remaining enemy squadrons not affected by the debris or the cloud of ion ordnance would begin to engage the once the fighters began returning to ship. It was only a question of time before the enemy managed to catch up to the fighters that returned to ship... but when the enemy does, they are in for unpleasant surprises under the form of point-defense and fighters coming back to haunt them, with a few losses to these fighters. And yet the two Shards still lived, somehow, albeit with several dents to their respective hulls. Bittersweet engagement perhaps, but it's still better than nothing, she thought, while realizing that the rear guard being fought was perhaps not the most competent unit in the Sith Empire's navy.

Aryn Teth

Outskirts of Juranno, Juran Mountains, Alderaan, Alderaan Sector, The Core Worlds

Interacting With: Srina Talon, Taeli Raaf, Jaius Sovv

While the rest of the Triumvirate had seen fit to journey to Alderaan aboard one of the Jedi's new Star Temples, Aryn had already made his efforts to be among the first on the ground after the Alliance had made its moves to assist the Alderaani people. Already, the Supreme Commander had ordered troops to begin securing holdouts in the cities, and to begin humanitarian efforts in and around Juranno and the other decimated cities which had suffered under the Sith's onslaught. The fighting had been sparse, and for now seemed to have died down enough to allow the Supreme Commander some reprieve from his command, enough time at least to send out a call to Srina Talon for her assistance. On paper, it was so the Confederacy might have some showing to help put them in the good graces of what was left of the coalition, in reality, she was just far better at operations like this than Aryn ever had been.

While he was assured she was on her way, his friend had still not arrived, and so Aryn still wandered back and forth among his command staff, delegating and organizing the troops within the city itself before an aide over his shoulder spoke up. "Supreme Commander, the rest of the Triumvirate has arrived in-system, aboard the Shield of Light." Giving the man a gentle nod, Aryn moved to the holocommunicator which had been set up in his camp, beginning to connect with the star temple which drew nearer to the world itself.

The New Jedi Order had changed significantly after the death of Omai Rhen, far more militaristic than previously, Aryn was aware of concerns that had begun to spread about the nature of the order itself. However, it was true that all of the triumvirate had grown more militaristic with the rise of the new leadership, even Aryn's own tactics had been criticized as far more aggressive than his predecessors. Hopefully, Alderaan would be a change of pace for Aryn, at least.

Watching as the holographic image of the other members of the triumvirate appeared, Aryn gave a curt nod to the two of them, clasping his hands gently behind his back. "Grand Marshal Raaf, Chief Sovv, it's good to see you've arrived, I assume you've both been filled in on the situation?"

For thousands of years the Knights of Alderaan had sworn themselves to protect these lands and their peoples from any who dared to disrupt the harmonious way of life that had been built here. Today, they had failed.

The Destrier-class speeder thrummed underneath him, and while Tycho's power armor shielded him from feeling the intensity of the winds all around him, he could hear them quite clearly whipping by as they plunged through the upper atmosphere together. Recently anointed Knight-Praetor of his Circle, it was still an unfamiliar feeling for him to be the lead rider. At least the attention demanded of him now spared him from any further feelings of self-recrimination. As one of the Queen's Royal Eyes, it had been his sacred responsibility to discover and prevent strikes like these before they ever occurred.

There was nothing left to do about that now but contain the situation as best as they were able, and so he had ordered his Circle to launch from their assigned Hammerhead corvette the Cobaltia Sea from the moment they were able. He could feel the Destrier straining underneath him, pushed to its operating limits, and found he had to force the speeder to acquiesce to his wishes in the extreme climate as if it were a living, breathing mount out of some ancient storybook. They pushed on as one towards their destination, the Organa's Mountain Palace.

Knights across Alderaan would be converging on their planet's most legendary sites and artifacts, ready to die if necessary to protect the royal family and their people's heritage. Today, they were all Knights of the Shield, no matter which Order they were sworn to. Because of his connections, Tycho had made a well educated guess on which of several potential holdout locations the Queen would end up in this specific instance. Already, they could see the faint glow of the palace lights off in the distance, having been dropped off by the Cobaltia as close to this range of the Juran as possible.

Readying his energy lance in one hand, Tycho glanced down to check the Neutralizer submachine gun on his hip for its power pack's charge before swinging his speeder around and towards the palace courtyard on attack angle. If there were any Sith forces left alive in the vicinity of the Organa's mountainside retreat, there soon wouldn't be.

Aela Talith Ryan Korr

He was almost disappointed he hadn't been able to witness Aela or Ryan take on a sith in Combat. Jacen would have chided him for expressing as much so he kept it to himself. It was perhaps an aspect of his Sith training that would never truly leave him. The slight thrill of meeting a challenge head on.

Pausing in his work, Trextan's eyes followed the blade that had been placed down between them. Grimy from seeing its intended use on the field, but he could still see the smooth curve of the blade and the engravings around the hilt.

He had heard of Sith swords before. They were powerful artefacts forged by dark side alchemy to become virtually indestructible or to afford their wielders greater power.

This one didn't feel like it was a creation of the dark side. If anything he carried a light aura, even as she put it down. He had seen a few Sith swords first hand and this was like none of them.

"What is you sword made of?" he asked, his interest obvious.

Location:   System Alderaan space

Representing:Castagne system, CIS

The CIS had it's eye on Alderaan since the outbreak of news reached it's borders...namely Castagne.

Karlie was under the orders of her father Tarssin, whom were Viceroy of the system Castagne that were part of the CIS, the neighboring territories of the FWC. This mission was not officially sanctioned yet from the Confederacy, but from Castagne itself. It were to establish the damage and only to engage if there were no other alternatives. It was her father's hope that one day the two neighboring factions couldbecome stronger Allies. As of this day, what little responce from the CIS had saddly come too late.

Here she was now aboard the Tecknor..not as commander, but as an adviser. Her, an advisory...her first such mission.

And it were her first foreign campaign within the Castan fleet. Unlike her previous missions which were of clandestine nature, this mission gave her authority over SQ-7 a squadron on board one of the Castan's fleet destroyers...The Tecknor.

"Miss Lynn, we're coming up on system Alderaan." A comm from the bridge alerted her.

"Very good... patch me with a comm link to Aldera upon emergence. I'll send a hail from here." She replied, taking a moment from the tactical team meeting she was finalizing.

"...two escorts and that's my final say. I've had enough extensive training to fly on my own." She jutted up her index to quiet the Lieutenant's objection. he had been adamant on providing at the very least a 6 fighter escort to hers.

But Karlie was here on Alderaan on behalf of Castagne. She was following her own set of protocols. ..respect for the authority on this system, for the CIS did little to scramble to the fight on the initial reports of the invasion of the sith into FWC space.

Most of all the so called friendlies were now just here to help with the clean up and suicide garrisons left behind, upon the sith Fleet's withdrawal. It was not the time to play Calvary, when all it was was a clean up. Her father had felt the CIS had failed the FWC. As thus, he sent his daughter to see if anything could be done to amend and maybe strengthen their ties.

The Tecknor dropped out of hyperspace 160 million miles from Alderaan. immediately the Commander had sent out a hail to the system indicating they were here to assist and asked for permission to approach the system. That request was well met and the Tecknor took just a mere few minutes at sub-light to reach and establish high orbit around Alderaan.

"Miss Lynn, we have that patch.."

"CIS Castan vessel Tecknor to High Council on Aldera...this is Karlie Lynn Destat, on behalf of Castagne, representing CIS... request permission for a small group to land on Palace ground." She relayed her message.

It soon returned to inform her to directly ask the queen, who was currently herself evaluating the damage.

"Queen Organa, your grace...this is Karlie Lynn Destat..requesting permission to land 3 small fighter class crafts on palace ground.

I'm representing on behalf of my father Viceroy Tarssin Destat, Castagne's deepest regrets for failing your system." She then said, drawing murmurs in the background , which she immediately raised her hand to quiet them.

Yes, they failed the FWC and Alderaan. They had not come here fast enough. ..nor aided many of the systems during the rebellion crisis. Not many foreign systems who failed to show face, ever admitted their wrong. Karlie was here to correct that and hope to establish a more secure bond between the two factions.

it were a long shot, but Castagne had from the beginning, brought up the fact that the CIS could not turn a blind eye to their neighbors. Her father Tarssin Destat had brought it forth on the CIS High Council meeting of Viceroys.

Tarssin Destat knew they failed their neighbors. He would send his daughter to speak directly and represent Castagne.

There was a momentary moment of silence.

"My fa..." Karlie couldn't let that silence become a permanent void between the two systems.

"I wish to meet with Your Grace and apologize in person. I am prepared to meet any demands you have for our failure to act, Queen Faith Organa."

She glanced down at the blade for a moment in consideration.

The sword was something special, not exactly like most forced imbued blades and certainly nothing like the standard Sith Sword. The weapon was of the light, something she had proved more than once in combat. Her lips thinned for a moment as she thought of how she would answer, but ultimately she decided that the truth was the best course of action.

"I'm not really sure." She said honestly.

"It's..." Aela trailed off for a second. It was difficult to admit that this blade had been forged by her grandfather, a man that many considered to be the start of the plague of Sith that now ran loose throughout the galaxy. "It's old."

She continued quietly. "Forged by my grandfather before his fall."

Jamie and her had found the weapon inside of Moridin's old citadel, placed within a small alcove that most would have missed. The sword was a tool like any other, but for some reason it had called to her. She couldn't have explained why, but more than once it had saved her life.

The ships were landing, the fact that the Allinace had sent an actual landing party to this location was something unexpected, hopefully, but it wasn’t just the Alliance sending it. It was the New Jedi Order, under command of Jedi Master Coren Starchaser. He was the one who may be the worst Jedi, with a focus on proactive involvement in peace keeping exercises. But chasing the Sith away from worlds seemed to be what the Alliance was doing now.

Mopping up One Sith Remnants was a good time for him, sure, but there was so much more he and his team could be doing. The pilot turned Master was waiting for the landing and had a fairly decent sense of where they were based on ship speed, and time since they hit atmosphere. A hand tightened on his blaster pistol as he clenched his left hand.

His light shield would be there, and part of the first move from the teams. Normally a vanguard, the one running in first, as a Master, he was aware of his place and that he could be doing more from the line than in front of it. Stepping to the door, he slapped the button as they were above the surface, skimming the sand. His team was expecting heavy resistance and they were all reaching out in the Force.

A fighting unit acting as one. Coren grinned as his shield lit up, orange and rectangular, to fill the door. His pistol was in his hand and he was firing back at the incoming shots that were splashing on the ship’s shields and his own. A few steps and the gathered Forcers in the strike team were spreading out.

Time to work.

Location: Alderaan

Allies: GA Jaius Sovv Faith Organa Taeli Raaf

Enemies: Sith stragglers

"All squadrons, load cluster missiles!"

"The two enemy destroyers are mobility-killed, admiral" the captain of the Task Significance reported to the CIC over comms.

"We ought to move in for the catastrophic kill before we ourselves get firepower-killed!"

Cluster missiles were being loaded onto the surviving fighters that made it to hangar; however, as with the fat ion bombs dropped into the void earlier, hitting the destroyers for underside firepower kills, and also some of the port/starboard ones, one could only load two of these cluster missiles into the fighters in question, while the battle rages on outside between the point-defense, the bombers and the enemy fighters. At this stage of the battle, nearly half the enemy octagonal fighters were destroyed, whose debris sometimes collided with their own ships, capital or fighter, so shooting down the remaining fighters was not as hard as it was at the onset, especially since EWAR caused some of the enemy fighters to have their ordnance detonate prematurely and hence wasting ammo. At this point, the Marr and the two Shards looked to be killable within one volley, knowing that they can only kill one of the two destroyers in this volley with the available firepower. So it was either: destroy the Marr, destroy the Angral or split the fire between the two but not kill any, assuming, of course, that they could destroy the two Shards in the process.

"Fire on the Marr; we can dispatch the Angral later"

With that said, the fighters have returned back into the fray, launching cluster missiles to pick off the enemy fighters still outstanding and that the initial incendiary effect of the new ion bombs wore off. And yet some of the submunitions were instead directed at the two frigates, with the enemy fighters frantically attempting to escape the sting of submunitions being fired at them. With limited success perhaps, but there were just so many submunitions that the enemy had at least 2-3 of those on their tails at varying distances and angles:not all of them could simply attempt to force them to collide. Meanwhile, the green proton beam was still coming for the Marr like a fusion beam threatening to cut the mobility-killed destroyer apart as it kept floating at constant velocity in one direction, thanks to its inertia. It did pierce a hole but did not cut the ship clean. But the death knell of that ship came shortly after the two Shards were destroyed under a bombing run of plasma bombs, when the Kartharage and the Kro Var fired all their long-range batteries at the Marr, with proper leading made much easier because there was no possibility of evasive maneuvers. With the result that the Marr was killed in a large explosion that sent debris flying everywhere, but the crew of the Kro Var was able to focus all four gravity wells at the Angral, in an attempt to direct debris towards it.
