Description: After General Kaine's experience with the bes'bavar-class at the skirmish over Myrkr, and the subsequent loss of the Te Goran at Concord Dawn, plans were laid down for a MandalArms designed light carrier to support operations for which the larger Concordia-class wouldn't suit.

Built compact, and almost entirely made up of hangar deck, which runs the length of the ship, from engines to bow, she can carry four full squadrons safely into battle, and launch and recover them effectively through her large bow hangar aperture. HIMS equipped hyperdrive allows the Kiffu-class to enter interdicted space to deliver its cargo.

Though the vessel is unarmed, sluggish and slow, its four squadrons are capable of dealing the blows the carrier itself cannot, but it must be protected. Its shields and armor allow it to absorb some punishment, while the missile deactivation transmitters are capable of keeping some troubles away, but it is not a vessel built to enter combat itself, able to deal no direct return blows. A wily captain will keep his carrier well away from serious fighting, letting his combat air group do the combat.
