Most will find that Hypori has a colorful background if history tells the story correctly. From epic battles to dark side training grounds, and even secret foundries, there seems to be nothing that hasn’t touched this world. It was once part of the CIS, long ago, and it has been decided that with the withdrawal of the Imperial presence it is time for the temperate world to return to the fold. The Confederacy is ever expanding and would rather claim the space versus allowing other unsavory parties to sink their claws into it. There has been chatter intercepted from the Hutt Cartel over a vested interest and the Vicelord has directed his administration to sweep in before they get the chance to make their move.

The Exarchs and the Ministers have sent several correspondences back and forth with Hypori leadership and have finally reached an agreeable consensus. There is a hodge-podge population of both near-human descendants, immigrants, clones that were stationed and abandoned, as well as the remains of a small relocated Geonosian hive. It has led to a very diverse, however somewhat difficult way of life. There is ongoing tension between the insectoid creatures and the rest of the populace but they seem to have formed a way to coexist by simply staying out of one another’s way.

There is a singular insectoid delegate, a highly unpleasant creature by the name of Gaza Dellso, who speaks on behalf of the hive. Whilst it was traditional to form a proper-hive mound the tough bedrock of Hypori has kept them from doing so. Instead, they live in catacombs and often apply their skills and trade in both underground facilities and foundries that exist topside.

The voice of the people that live above ground is Zara Bek. They have small industrial cities near the oceans that have seen better days, especially, since the only have one droid factory in working order. The rest have all been decommissioned due to a lack of need. Taking in contracts to supply droids for war efforts was their main export, and without a nation that requires it, they find their proud community slowly falling apart. They are in desperate need of a morale boost and must have guaranteed work.

The Confederacy has secured the acquisition of Hypori with both groups by offering paying contracts that will restart their economy. The CIS will also retrofit the decommissioned droid factories to help get them running again. They will be supplied with new materials and innovative schematics until their scientists and engineers are able to begin producing on their own. The more talented Geonosians will be recruited for their superb mechanical and technical skills—in which all parties are appeased.

Zara Bek has asked for only one more thing. Localized terraforming equipment to soften and enrich the soil so that the growth of organic food can be more accessible. Hypori does not look for charity. More than anything they have simply requested the proper tools needed so that they can thrive. If their production skyrockets, they can offer their services to private parties so that their bottom line is always favorable.

With this in mind, Zara Bek has reached out to their new benefactor as well as the people of Hypori to remind them that they are not yet gone. Hypori still exists and it intends to thrive.

Objective 1 – Qixi Festival

Hypori leadership has invited the Confederacy to the eve of their grand restoration. Zara Bek has arranged a celebratory festival in the City of Ensign for everyone to gather and bear witness to the droid factories lighting once again. In the night sky, it will be impossible not to see little glimmers flickering to life, signaling that the forges have become operational and that Hypori is well on its way to becoming self-sufficient again.

There will be lights strung throughout Ensign to light the pathways and large areas for people to congregate and enjoy the evening. There will be music, drinking, and food grown from Hyporian soil. There will be metallic trinkets and small weapons available from vendors as well as outdoor lounges for those that simply wish to sit and take it all in. Droids may even find some interesting, hand-made, appliques that can be welded to their chassis.

wish.png

Objective 2 – Wish Tree

In the center of Ensign is a large tree made entirely of metal. The people, as well as their guests, are encouraged to scribble down their deepest desire on a small piece of rice paper. It will then be tied to the tree and before the conclusion of the Festival, the tree will be lit aflame. All of the wishes will be burned away and released into the universe. It is hope for the working class, a way for people to envision their future, even if life isn’t perfect.

Hypori isn’t so far gone that it could be considered destitute but times have definitely been tough. It’s a small gesture, a little juvenile, but it’s a tradition that will place many hearts and minds at ease.

Loose_Ends_Copy.png

Objective 3 – Loose Ends

This would be an objective more suited toward those of a more diplomatic or political mind. Zara Bek, the voice of the near-humans, can be found wandering Ensign and may wish to ask more questions about this newer Confederacy. Zara may even be willing to discuss other contracts if anyone has a droid requirement. On the flip side, the much, much less charismatic Geonosian delegate, Gaza Dellso, will also be present out of duty. It will become clear that Gaza does not want to be there and finds humanity lacking. He will be easy to offend while Zara will appear far more tolerant.

Both will likely need to speak to members of the CIS to iron out the rest of their needs and to sate curiosity. Many do not understand how the CIS maintains its member worlds, even if it’s been explained, and this pair will be no different. The truest formation of an opinion can be found by questioning the people under the Confederate flag versus interrogating the leaders.

BYOO_Copy.png

Objective 4 – BYOO

As always, feel free, to create your own story. If the festival scene isn’t for you perhaps engage in a murder mystery under the cover of darkness. You can try your hand in the more rural areas and hunt a Massiff. Hypori wilds are rich with history and relics from multiple battles and failed ventures. See what relics you can find—Have fun! If you are ever in question as to whether or not something is appropriate don't hesitate to reach out a CIS Staff member at your leisure. We’re here for you! Again, this thread is open to CIS, CIS Allies, etc etc...You don't have to ask to join if you fall into that category.

Objective: CIS Security

Location: Qixi Festival [Lounge/Music Area]

Time: Evening

Thoughts: "It's going to be a long, long night."

The chestnut-haired Knight Obsidian departed the Scimitar-class Star Courier with a sense of relief. She’d been sitting still so long that her legs had all but fallen asleep. Dark eyes swept the spaceport with a sense of duty coupled with vague disinterest. The area was buzzing. Tons of starships were docking and departing while the people of Hypori flooded the City of Ensign. It wasn’t much to look at really. Mostly metallic, with large plumes of smoke spilling into the sky, but it was clear that an effort had been made to pretty it up for the Qixi Festival.

Naedira respected the deals that had been made thus far. The CIS it seemed, adored charity cases, and picked up every member world that couldn’t stand on its own legs. For the time being the process worked. She wasn’t ignorant of policy or taxation laws but there were times when she wondered whether or not it might just be better to let something like this die. There were other droid foundries. An entire forge out near Zhar…Why did they need more?

The answer to that question was above her pay grade.

She was dressed in her standard Obsidian strike-armor with the hood down. Her purpose wasn’t to be frightening or stealthy. She had been ordered to provide security in case something went wrong and that was what she intended to do. She’d been contracted for at least half the event in which she would trade posts with a new Knight and supposedly be off the hook. Riiight. Her relief never showed up on time. Sometimes, they never showed up at all.

Naedira followed the foot traffic in relative silence. She didn’t have a partner or any droids at her side. Her armor drew a few curious glances but her mostly pleasant expression seemed to place the locals at ease. She was a thoughtful woman, however, she wouldn’t place the comfort of a few backwater factory workers over her own personal protection. Unless she was strictly off duty, or, she was ordered to don plain clothes her state of dress wasn’t going to change. She wasn’t one of the do-nothing Viceroyalty.

Her slight spite toward those that governed planets might have been misbegotten. She’d had a bad experience with a few, and ever since, had been left with a notion of incompetence. With that in mind and her unwilling upbringing in the diplomatic sphere—most politicians tended to wear her patience thin. They always thought they were right. They always had some sort of agenda.

With only a handful of exceptions...They could never be trusted.

The Knight Obsidian made her way through the crowd and let her attention flicker from attraction to attraction. There were a variety of vendors trying to hock this and that. There were lights hung in the streets to show visitors where to go. Eventually, she found herself at an open area that seemed like some sort of social. There was a space for lounging, music, and plenty of wine being passed around. Her gaze narrowed. There were too many shadows and it made it more difficult to pinpoint any sort of disturbance. Lovely.

Slowly, the Knight began her circuit. She would loop through the lounge, try not to trip over dancing couples, perhaps stop for some water, before moving on to the next area.

"This is Darcrath checking in. All clear at the Festival. No sign of suspicious activity. Will report again at half past the hour.", she called in through her comm to control, knowing, that someone was always monitoring chatter. She couldn't sneeze over the line without someone razzing her about it later.

It was going to be a long night.

The Qixi Festival. After a few weeks of running around the ‘verse like mad, doing mission after mission with little to no downtime, she was glad for this opportunity. It was a chance to dress up, not worry about blood in her hair, and hopefully, hopefully, meet new people.

She’d dropped messages for both Daisy Americus and Dianah Vi'Dreya to let them know she’d be there, hoping she could catch a hug for a moment before each of them wandered off to be with their own beaus, whether permanent or chosen for the night. For herself, she had no one. She hadn’t felt comfortable inviting her Jedi friend to a place like this just yet, and she was still just getting to know people, both within the Knights Obsidian and out of it.

Madalena had no doubts about how she looked in the dress she had chosen. And still, as she walked down the streets of Ensign, she admitted to herself that she would have felt more empowered in her armor. But no. Her armor attracted the kind of attention that wanted to be stabbed, multiple times, in painful places. This dress… This dress was to remember. To remember that she was more than a killing machine. To remember that there was more to her than being a weapon, than doing missions, than just killing.

This dress was for her.

Another day, another party serving the CIS. It was the usual stuff and Lirka graciously accepted such a thing, the booze was fine and gave her more nonsense to spend her credits on. Festival was a new thing, other than that last sob-fest where she wanted to practically just smash her head to bits to shut the spirits up.

And she ever wore something (barely) different. Deciding it might be a little rude to simply go and walk around in her full armor, so instead she had attached the equivalent of a scarf, with fabric that was enough to meet her snobby Sephi tastes, across her armor. Making the massive difference, of course. Each step heavy as ever with her boots and the like, yes. All the difference.

Ka didn’t wear dresses and she’d probably have to be paid to wear one, it was close to a century since she had. Dresses were the old old life, back when she was dainty little Princess Ka and not “Ka the Sephi-who-will-probably-punch-your-face-till-it-isn’t-a-face”, she tried to break the killing machine name. But in all truth, it was always harder and harder. Never felt safe enough to remove armor, not enough temper control for her Dark Side urges, and was aggressive enough to always want to leave a squall of gore. Just good at it.

No gore here, or so it seemed at least, so that meant Lirka was back to her Underworld-self find some booze. Walk around, and drink away. Truthfully she was looking for another Confederacy member though, felt better about talking to them than some random.

Two of the three Lechner siblings arrived at the festival together. Alwine did not know yet if the third would attend tonight or not. Still, the smile on her face was hard to remove. While many a-girl would have been smiling less than her at the thought of arriving with someone who looked like Gerwald, her smile was on her face not merely because she had arrived with him, but because she had arrived with her brother. It appeared lately that the gods she did not believe in had shown a little mercy, and she was getting to spend more and more time with him, something she would cherish forever and would not dare for a split of a second to give up.

She knew her petite form looked utterly angelic in the white dress she had chosen, and her brother by her side looked amazing in his suit, even if it was so different from the gear he usually chose to wear (and if he asked her, she would tell him not wear it often anyway). A festival was a festival. Each of the Lechner siblings had grown into the kind of person that could easily draw stares from all around, and now that they were liberated from the clutches of Stewjon, there was no reason to try to hide that fact.

“Music, dancing, drinks, a wish tree…” Alwine listed the things the festival had to offer as the two walked deeper and deeper into it. She knew her brother did not know how to dance. It was a comfort, since she did not either. “Shall we test the local mead out, dalninuk?” she asked as she looked at her brother, the big wide smile still on her face, “I would also like to go to the tree at some point tonight.”

These social events were never Sigma's cup of tea. Maybe that's why Rhou was here now, sipping on some brandy that he had to be a little persuasive to get, and just enjoying some time off from the constant war and pain. It was also a decent attempt to network, since he'd been gone for nearly a decade and almost all the key players he once knew except Anesia Jy'Vun were gone in one way or another.

So here he sat, on a nice recliner near a bar. Drink in hand he chatted with locals and patrons as they came and went. He couldn't communicate with all of them since this melting pot of a planet featured about as many races as the entire Confederacy combined. Nothing really came of these conversations, though. Someone did try to sell him a pocket watch, claiming that he looked like the kind of guy who would carry one. That was neat, but he had no need for such a device so he dismissed the sentient.

"Street vendors," Treiades mumbled with amusement and took another sip of brandy.

Location: the Gala, then the lounge
Objective: be a face of the United Siskeen Coalition
Post: 1
Wearing: black suit
Interacting: Naedira Darcrath

The Confederacy loved their parties, their smile for the holocam opportunities, their charity cases. From a certain point of view they were a jolly bunch of do gooders. But in reality they were a nation built for war, a government that sought to spread and rule, a force that would not be deterred from their goals. Some would say it would seem to be galactic rule. And if that was the case, then William would use the CIS as they utilized their own.

And so the newly minted, Warden of Siskeen, found himself at a party, sipping champagne, and mingling with the local well off. The datapad in his jacket pocket was busy at work however. Every electronic device he came within ten meters of was being cloned, unless security on said devices were stopping his attempts. These devices and their owners were pinged and identities were saved for further investigation. These were the ones with something worth the effort of hiding there information, and the ones with the most that could be leveraged for the betterment of himself, of Siskeen, and of the Confederacy. In that order too.

Pausing he discarded the empty flute and selected another before continuing his slow, methodical journey through the gala. Most people thought of war and battle to occur with blasters, armor, lightsabers, and ships. And while these were true, most failed to realize that the conference rooms, diplomatic meetings, parties, and even in back alleys is where the most important battles were fought. Leverage, blackmail, threats, subtle manipulation, or a vibroblade won more wars then actual warfare. And these seemed to be more dangerous and filled with more intrigue and intense suspense.

These were the arenas he had mastered. Recent revelation proved that it wasn't necessarily inherited from his mother's people, but from his father's. Of course that was not to mean one failed to learn the art of actual war, and it was some of his first lessons. And he excelled at it. After all, you didn't earn the moniker of "the Bloody" without some form of experience in that arena.

With as much data borrowed, with the intent to keep, that he was likely to attain in the area, William began moving in a casual manner toward the lounge where he would begin his work once more. On his walk though, his eyes fell upon a figure armored and wearing the Knight Obsidian standard gear. Amused he slid nearby and matched his gait with hers while remaining within the ten meter radius.

Curious to what his 'sniffer' program would pull from her gear, he was not blind to her feminine form. Yet for him appearances was just merely another tool that offered opportunity to wield against others. And so he made his way toward the lounge as he enjoyed the champagne and the view.

Kylo dressed in a black suit, white shirt with a green tie and his hair well kept was an unusual sight for the Mandalorian, but even he couldn't deny he looked good. Not what he was familiar with though, but for tonight it would work for this festival. As Kylo walked he looked around the streets watching all the citizens enjoying himself. Kylo didn't understand this, he enjoyed himself in battle, this was different to him, but something he was willing to try. Kylo could hear music coming from down the street as people were running around enjoying it. Kylo looked around the city, he had to admire the industrial look and feel of it. Kylo could see the orange glow of the sky in the evening, a beautiful sight. Then something caught his attention through smell. Kylo could smell all the food being cooked around at booths scattered through the street.

Kylo's attention then was torn by a woman in a beautiful golden dress with beautiful piercing emerald green eyes. She was gorgeous overall. Kylo was here to meet new people, so let's start with her he figured. Kylo made his way to her at a slow casual pace enjoying the stroll. Once he reached her he cleared his throat and smiled as he greeted her. Hello Ma'am, enjoying the festival? Kylo usually not one for socializing but he was trying, and this woman looked familiar where has he seen her before, he couldn't place it.

Objective: Qixi Festival
Location: Security Operations Center
Post: 1

Aiden was all too aware of the reality of the festivities occurring on Hypori. The last couple of weeks had been a relative whirlwind of activity. With the cessation of recent operations abroad, the Vicelord had, effectively, realigned a large amount of the government administration. While the tall Sith had been more than comfortable serving in a role of some obscurity within the Knights Obsidian, it was not an assignment that was much meant to last. Following his meeting with Exarch Talon, he'd been approached by the Vicelord regarding a potential move to a more...politically-charged role. At least, that was how it had ultimately been described to Aiden. The reality was that he had neither the time nor the inclination to chase political affairs.

Entering in a six-digit alphanumeric access code, Aiden swept into the moderately sized security operations center that had been established out of a pre-fabricated facility due to the nature of this event. The new Minister of War entered the room silently, drawing a handful of gazes that immediately darted back towards consoles and view screens. Dressed simply in a pair of navy blue tactical pants, black boots, and a navy blue overcoat, Aiden certainly looked the part of politician even less than he played at it.

Silver-green eyes scanned the room, watching the series of displays with seeming indifference. In truth, Aiden was very attuned to the information that was streaming into the operations center. Reports filtered in from units stationed in several critical areas, though most had pushed out away from the actual ceremony itself. Those that did linger near to the membership of the Confederacy, however, had been seemingly purposefully selected. These selections had been made well before Aiden ascended to any point of authority in the matter.

"This is Darcrath checking in. All clear at the Festival. No sign of suspicious activity. Will report again at half past the hour."

Slowly, Aiden turned his gazed towards the watch officer assigned to monitor that particular frequency. Before the Twi'lek could reply to Nae's report, Aiden prematurely silenced the male. "Wait." The deep voice wasn't supremely loud, but it was forceful enough to shatter the subtle sounds of radio chatter and operating equipment. In that moment, recognition slipped across the faces of several people in the operations center that turned around once more. Sensing several about to rise to their feet, Aiden motioned them all to stay seated. "Inform Knight Darcrath that she is being relieved early."

"Uhh, y-yes sir." The watch officer returned his attention to the radio console in front of him. "Ops copies all clear. Standby for early relief, Ops out." By the time the watch officer turned to ensure he had executed the Minister's instructions to his liking, the Twi'lek noticed he had disappeared as quickly as he'd appeared.

Long strides carried Aiden away from the operations center and in the direction of Naedira's post swiftly. He recalled having met the woman briefly during a recent meeting with Exarch Talon on Geonosis. Naturally, Aiden had a fairly good idea that the woman worked extensively in service to one of the Exarchs. Tonight, she could let someone else stand post.

Naedira wasn't exactly easy to miss as she weaved her way through crowds in straight-up armor. This would have probably been a good time for a more dressed down appearance, but he did suppose the presence of armor had its purposes. In a matter of minutes, Aiden approached from behind the woman. Casually, he informed of his presence while she faced the other direction. "I'm here to relieve you, Knight Darcrath." There wasn't a smile on his lips, though it would seem that one threatened to pull at the corners of his lips.

Though there were several individuals in close proximity to Knight Darcrath as she weaved through the crowds, Aiden sensed no real immediate threat from any of them.

Hypori was a beautiful planet, the festivities carried the pleasant hum of a hundred conversations and the soft tinkling of gentle music. Alora wasn't usually one for down time, especially if it required any form of real socialization. Of course, she was no stranger to having a drink or two at a bar but this was all together different. There was no mission to complete, nothing to attack, no danger present... just a sea of people enjoying life without all its added complexities. In situations like this Alora would simply lose herself in the scenery, taking in all the strange and wonderful things the modern Galaxy had to offer.

But it was hard to enjoy in this damn dress.

When she stated her intention to go in her red leather armor a few of the servants at Sinner's Well had kicked up such a fuss Alora was still reeling from it. Eventually they wore her down and convinced her to wear this thing. In comparison to the set of armor she had been wearing her entire life the dress made her feel practically naked. Even though it wasn't her usual style Alora couldn't deny it suited her. The green velvet complimented her milky flesh and fiery hair, which hung in loose curls by her collarbone. The servants had even managed to paint her lips a bright rouge to match.

The tall heels had made the walk to the nearest gathering a long one. When she finally reached the throng her anxiety was overshadowed by a familiar desire. It turned out she did indeed have a mission to complete that night: Find the nearest bar.

Lirka was a sight for sore eyes, and it became incredibly hard to miss her as she made her way through the crowd. Thankfully enough it seem they were intimated enough by the tall and particularly sharp looking Sephi woman (and extra thankfully she wasn't wearing that blank helmet, she either teased or informed how it was modeled after a demon from Thustra myth), a small bubble of space formed where she walked as she made her own little quest off to find somewhere to go and get some proper drinks. What good underworld trash didn't want to go hit up a Cantina?

She entered in with a near-jolly stride to her step. Lirka was actually happy for once, she liked this immensely. This one just seemed...nice...nothing stabbed at her mind, nothing was trying to stab her, shoot her, eat her (not yet to any of those three at least) it was just time to get laid back and enjoy herself enough to actually have fun, the CIS gave her benefits she had never taken use of until now.

She didn't last long before quickly snagging a drink and spinning around on her heels with a surprising grace for such heavy plate, the floor definitely sounded like it felt that maneuver. Heading right off to the recliner where Treiades Rhoujen sat, Ka had her own bit of brandy. Commerian, good thing they still had some in stock, poor sods got smacked by those Sith cultists she heard.

"Say, I know ya'? Look familiar."

It wasn’t often that Marek Starchaser, the black sheep of the clan, and the lord of vice came off of Lianna or away from his cruise lines. But here he was, making an entrance to Hypori, a world that was contained in the previous generations of the CIS and Techno Union, one that was falling back into the fold. And they were throwing a party.

Did he mention vice? Yes, Marek Starchaser was one who dealt in casinos, adult entertainment, and chemical vices. He had his assistant, Alana Flagg with him, and made his way into Ensign, finding the lights, and knowing he’d find himself running across many a Confederate shortly. The one thing he really did like with the CIS was that people were allowed to be people. Sure, there was a formal government, but with the way the worked? Everyone managed themselves. Arm in arm with his body guard, the man looked around the city, it was good to be back.

Fixing his tie he looked around once more. It was good to be rich, and it was good to be here and support the Confederacy. Maybe one day he’d try to challenge the arena of leadership, but for now? He was going to try the arena of getting holo frequencies and seeing how many shots it’ll take to get certain individuals under the table.

Oh, and flying purple flags and the like.

From this mezzanine it was fun to watch the crowd below. The artists and dancers mulled around through the shops and stalls, with various festivities of merriment sparkling through the throng of celebrating individuals. He sipped his brandy again and smiled, rather enjoying these moments of comfort. From somewhere off-stage, a somewhat familiar face entered and Rhou paused mid-drink to watch her as she and her heavier-than-bricks boots stomped through his moment and came to rest on a conjoined recliner. He finished his sip and set his glass down on the arm next to him.

"I'm pretty sure we both tried our best not to die together," Treiades gave a chuckle, "fancy seeing you at one of these little festivities."

The crowd fired up again and he leaned forward in his seat to get a better look, and saw a familiar nest of blonde-brown hair on a particularly well-off man. He couldn't help but laugh as he flopped back into his seat and turned his attention back to his guest.

"You see that guy, with the entourage and the money?" he pointed at the good old Starchaser down in the crowd, "I used to work with him. We got into so many odd situations, but we haven't talked in absolutely forever."

This youthful body must have had a lower resistance to alcohol than he was used to. This brandy was making him chatty.

Everything was beautiful. Madalena gasped at the lights, illuminating the dark skies. The beauty of the streets in all their gorgeous decorations. Shops, bars, food stalls, everything was open, and everyone seemed to be happy that night. She considered stopping by one of the many open food stalls, but then thought better of it, realizing that she was too likely to soil the dress she had chosen. Hopefully, there would be enough food remaining by the end of the evening, when such things would no longer have an impact on those she might or might not meet.

She heard someone clearing their throat and turned around, emerald eyes falling on a man in a suit and a green tie (Kylo Kyr'am). “I am nowhere near old enough to be referred to as ma’am,” she said, her smile wide, indicating that she did not truly take offense and there was no need to take a step back at these words.

Madalena nodded to the man, “the sights here are absolutely beautiful,” she said, “it had been too long since I’ve had the chance to wear something other than bloodied armor.” The smell of the food hit her nose again. Soon, stomach, soon… “But where are my manners?” she laughed, nodding to the man, “Madalena Antares, Pathfinder of the Knights Obsidian. And you are…?”

Wearing: White trench coat, red cuffs, red buttoned up vest under cooat, black leather gloves and boots. Dark gray pants, white ribbon hair tie.

The Viceroy of Ord Pardron walked down the streets of Ensign, to the Wishing Tree, where he pulled out a piece of paper, then scribbled a sentence or two on it, then pinned it onto the tree. Afterwards he walked to a few stalls, leaving money, but taking nothing, eventually just wandering around.

“If ya’ askin’ me to be a pretty little pointy ear to show off, how much?”

She let out a hardy laugh, no distortion devices to make it like some demon cackle. Just a laugh from her strange accented voice, that finery from noble Thustra mixed with the gruff speak of the Underworld. Strange woman that Lirka was, especially when some booze went through her system. Though she took booze like a champ, not surprising, she was practically a giant even when not in the armor.

“I do the social stuff rather than just dyin’ for the glory of the Confederacy, good booze, meet a face or two. You try reachin’ a 127 years and you’d be at all of those you can get.”

Maybe the booze had gotten to her, maybe she was just happy to have someone to talk with. Either way she was more talkative than ever.

Leaning on a table, Rylan scanned the festivities going on about him in the old town, his mind somewhat else where as he people watched, seeing many faces he's seen before and many he hasn't. Then his eyes caught the form of a redhead in a lovely green dress, to which he decided to approach, hands scoping up a pair of drinks as he walked over to the woman, the force finally registering that this was someone he knew.

"Alora? Alora! Hey there..." scanning over her for a moment, his eyes taking in everything about the woman before him "I didn't recognize you for a moment."

Holding a drink out to her, he smiled, one part mischievously, one part curiously, his eyes never leaving her, but mostly on her face, he had never really taken the time to actually study her face or eyes in the short time they'd known one another.

Making her way through the crowd was a bigger task than she could have imagined. They were gathered in large groups of five or six all talking and laughing boisterously about anything and everything. Most of it skipped right by her. People often talked to quickly for her to understand or properly translate the complexities of Galactic Basic. This was the soul reason she kept her head down and why she made a beeline for the nearest bar.

She was about to give up her search as a loss when the sound of her own name drifted into her ears.

Spinning on the spot to face the owner Alora couldn't help but plaster a genuine smile on her face, which was a rarity for her. The relief she felt for having someone familiar there was beyond comparison. Rylan offered her a drink and she couldn't have taken it any faster. The cool glass pressed against her lips and before too long the entire contents had slipped down her throat. A fiery sensation settled comfortably in the pit of her stomach and released the knot of anxiety that had formed there.

'Hello Rylan.'

She accompanied the smile on her face with a gesture from her left hand. She reached up to brush her index finger against the dip in her cheek bone. For anyone else it would have looked like a strange twitch, but she knew Rylan would recognize it for what it was. Since their first meeting proper meeting on Manda she'd began to teach him some of the meanings behind these gestures. This simple signal meant 'profound gratefulness' and she truly meant it.

With the warm sensation of alcohol spreading through her body Alora finally brought her attention to Rylan's attire. Her expression gave nothing away but she did enjoy the outfits all the men were wearing tonight. Having never seen a suit before she took her time drinking in every tiny detail, down to the last stitch. She barely noticed his gaze bearing down on her face until she flicked her bright green eyes up to meet his.

'You are looking... how do they say? Handysome?'

Objective: Ensure Security under protocol A-17 "Seraph".

Location: Marketplace, Patrol Route X-Ray.

Time: Evening.

Although there was no intent to be aggressive or hostile unless absolutely necessary, the droid's red combat oculus added onto it being overall intimidating to that of the regular citizen. Personally, Osintrium disliked that of a security detail, however security was needed everywhere. While other droids might have been observing the metal tree or even shopping and conversing, Osintrium's primary purpose tonight was to provide security for the civilians in the area, and CIS personnel. There was no time for its personal objective to be pursued, and no details of its creators whereabouts were known, but they would be soon. As Osintrium made its way down the steps into the marketplace of the festival, various looks were collected. Some of disgust, some of intimidation, others of pleasure and a feeling of security. Osintrium paid no attention to any of them, though. Towering over the majority of the crowds, Osintrium could see an altercation beginning in the distance. Shoving its way through the crowds, Osintrium found its way in the middle of the altercation. The droid's presence almost immediately stopped the situation from escalating. Eventually, the droid found its way to the tree composed of primarily metal. Now it understood the big fuss. Although the sight was amazing, Osintrium had no time to place a wish of its own. The patrol continued.
