Strengths:

  • Armed to The Teeth

The most noticeable fact about the Minotaur, and the planned designs for the Phalanx Heavy Destroyers is the sheer amount of Megamaser firepower they the ship brings to bear against the enemy, and is by far the most powerful ship within the Empire of the Hand’s arsenal: being more than capable of brawling with ships of a much larger size.

Weaknesses:

  • Weak Points:

A Phalanx unleashes an impressive amount of heat, as such there was recesses within the warship to make sure it doesn’t overheat. An eagle eyed Starfighter could take not of these recesses, and when targeted they allow direct access through the heavy shields and armor of the vessel right to the systems within. Just as much as it allows the ability to remove it’s ability to vent heat

  • Almost No Fighter Defenses

The Minotaur has had no major modifications to the basic design of the Phalanx, despite being commanded by Tsair’ra’Nuruodo a man who adores flexibility. It is built entirely to tear apart capital ships, rather than their complements. The only weapons that can damage fighters are the Rhazor Missiles, though in truth they are little more than a handful of concussion missiles to disrupt fighter formations.

Description:

Conceptually, the Phalanx Heavy Destroy exists an an analog to the massive Imperial vessels seen throughout history, and in the current times, though showing a Chiss minimalism compared to such warships: a single of these vessels actually made it into production the pride of the Empire of the Hand and the flagship of it’s de-facto “Emperor”, the Minotaur.

Forged of the scuttled fleet of Tsair’ra’Nuruodo, mainly those mighty Megamasers that would not be implemented into the ground defenses of Nirauan. A last line of defense and one of the few major battle ready warships that would go and remove the largest dangers that threaten the Hand, Minotaur is in truth far from comparable to the mightest warships brought to into the fold by many groups but in the context of the meager resources and holdings of the Empire of the Hand Minotaur is indeed an impressive achievement.

Making it all the less surprising why it took almost 2 and a half decades for Minotaur to finish completion, for the longest time it served simply as the icon of the sheer and raw determination of the Empire of the Hand. But no project lasts forever, slowly but surely resources were funneled into the Minotaur project, weapons were primed, armor plates were added, and slowly the shape of the Empire of the Hand’s might took form.

Minotaur has rarely seen deployment beyond small engagements, as losing the ship would be devastating due to the amount of effort put into it’s creation: as such the leader of the Empire of the Hand, Tsair’ra’Nuruodo, uses it as his personal flagship. The “Director” of the Empire of the Hand rarely seeing much combat opportunity.

Maneuverability Rating:

It looks like you may be missing a rating here.

Depending on what you pick for your maneuverability rating, you may well be able to increase another rating or two. Assuming that this ship's manueverablity is "average" (which you may or may not pick depending on your idea for the ship), you could increase 2 ratings.
