Gardens

Silver Rest

Kashyyyk

After spending most of the predawn hours working out in the gymnasium, Domino had adjourned to the gardens for a run just as the sun's rays began to color the tops of the mountains orange. The crisp air chilled her breath at the same time it nipped at her sweat while her actions warmed her against the chill. And while the location of her morning ritual was unusual for her as she rarely visited the Silver's temple, her method of dress was not. Her first instructor had taught her to always train to expected conditions, and while on Coruscant as a civilian that had meant street clothes and shoes, here it meant that she wore her personal Vornskr armor that left her arms bare save for the leather leviathan bracers that started just below her elbow and continued to form fingerless gloves over her hands. Strapped to her back was her pikesaber and her ancient and battered lightsabers were sheathed to her hips where they wouldn't bounce around, an equally well used stal-11 was holtered to her thigh to finish off her armament. Lastly she wore her usual diadem as most twi'leks traditionally did.

Rounding a corner around a grove of trees framed by a series of shrubbery Domino came to an abrupt halt, her feet skidding across the gravel path. There stood what was probably the last Jedi she would expect to see. Syn was an old friend of hers and someone she'd fought against as often as with. They were also perhaps the only two in the galaxy that truly understood each other and the long game of the Force. "Synlidwirh. It's been awhile."

The silver rest temple wasn't much of a place to stay around. He normally traveled in his ship from sithspawn creature he needed to fight to sithspawn creature as he stood there seeing Domino. She was much the same compared to him and neither really changed much as the jedi master stood there. "I has been but you look mostly the same." He said it standing tall and letting the armored pants gleam. The weaved in metals that made them highly protective going into the boots while his chest was bare. A belt with his sabers on his hip and utility belt of equipment.

"A few more scars, like you," Domino replied as she let her eyes wander over his muscles. She didn't have any fear of being called out by him for it, as he was blind. "I see you got tired of playing the Republic's lacky." In Domino's opinion his affiliation with them had always been a waste of his talents, it'd been useful when she'd needed to pass the Republic information on the Hex virus that lead to their cure, but people like them didn't belong bound to such ridged convention and rank. "Speaking of; if you're out for some morning exercise, we never did get to finish our match on Metalorn, feel up to a sparring bout to see who comes out on top?" Normally Domino would never so recklessly challenge another to a match and would have cooly dismissed most coming her way. But Syn was special, so far he'd been the only one to go toe-to-toe with her on equal footing with no clear winner. This time they could hash it out with no interruptions from armies or force storms, no more politics or reason to hold back as she'd had to with so many others. That was what excited her about him, he offered an honest match that let her simply act to her total ability.

He looked but chuckled to himself. "Yeah." Standing there with the look though he never faulted the Republic and for the most part they were one of the best of the worse forms of government across the galaxy. Sith went with power and fear... at least the Republic tried to give everyone a voice... it spawned corruption and fostered political ambition over helping people but a lot could be done for it. The jedi master looked at the other force user and the idea that the two of them could continue the fight... for one she wasn't wearing her fancy armor this time... but Domino was maybe one of the best makashi users he had ever seen as it were. He doubted many could break her defense with a blade including himself... if anything he would only get through it with sheer power... or maybe try and throw a building at her.... or tree.... there were a lot of trees around them. "We could finish the duel.... it would be something impressive to see."

"Sounds like you want another audience?" It was only half a question for Domino, with Syn she liked to banter and considering their prior 'match' had been in the midst of a battle, this was also her opening line. Domino drew her right leg back around in an arc along the gravel of the path and drew the saber sheathed on the same side. Holding the un-ignited blade parallel to her back leg while her left arm lowered to balance her side facing Syn. It was a perfect low ready fencing stance save one thing, she'd done it backwards.

Rocking back and forth a few times to settle into her stance, Domino rolled her shoulders and took a moment to appreciate the crisp morning air and the golden hues of the dawn before submersing herself in the Force. "Ready when you are."

He looked at her moved and bowed his head as she went into a stance. His senses tracking her while he didn't bring out his blades just yet. Instead standing still for a moment and then planting his feet in position. Feet spread out just enough to ground him, a little crouched and he slid the blades off of his hips finally. The silver hilts in his hands grooved and set so that he would be able to comfortably hold them in either normal or reverse grips. He still didn't activate the blade but turning his one foot he released pressure and energy. A force bubble that was meant to be more oppressive and as a warning to stay away then anything. He doubted it would do much to her but a grin formed on his face as he enjoyed a good duel.... he loved the fight and who knows what could happen as the snap hisses came. Pale purple blades activating that had silver cores. His chest and arms bulging a little as the force enhanced his body with precision. To make him stronger and faster but also remain compacted and lean for the higher speeds the form required. "Are you prepared?" He said it while flicking the studs for the power level. this was a friendly spar after all and the switches now allowed for increased cutting power against beskar so it was like a hot blade through warm butter.

The bubble expanded over her, she felt his oppressive strength push against her, a show of force. Most would be unnerved, someone strong in the force might have fought it off or shielded themselves against it, Domino simply accepted it, let it wash over and through her while maintaining her center, and she felt nothing, only her will remained. Dispassionate eyes appraised his muscles as they rippled and fed on the Force. He was bigger than her, stronger than her, and probably close to her equal in speed, but that was what she trained to face, so that her technique, timing, and proper leverage would win through where others relied on brute strength.

She cross stepped forward, eating a meter of distance between them and punched forward with her empty palm. They were still out of contact distance even for sabers but several pieces of small gravel shot forward from the path towards his chest lighting fast.

He could feel her... smell her and there was that hint in the air that said danger... something that made the tiny hairs prickle along the back of your neck when the jedi master watched it in his mind. THe force presence served another purpose as well.... reverberations, reflections and force sneses of the wojrld around him as his sight illuminated in different shades when he didn't move. He didn't know fully what the world was like but force sight was vague and looked like fire.

Seeing the gravel coming at him as the world became silent for a moment... the sound of blood rushing through his body, into the muscles and pounding in his ears like a hammer fall. The sound of Domino's breathing, stance with the ground before he moved to the side. THe force accelerating his body and compared to Metalorn when he worn gungnir armor, thicker ultrachrome plates he was in near weightless armored robes allowing him to move quickly and freely.

He was going to the side and didn't dodge roll as much as use the momentum of going to the side and his legs propelled himself forward making a barrier in front of himself more like a ram he could use and stopped trying to close the distance betwen them sending the barrier like a shockwave forward towards the twi'lek when he was moving his hand up ready to attack and get in close with juyo style strikes and punches instead of saber strikes.

From her motionless stance Domino didn't have the momentum to fling into a dodge without the Force to assist her, but her solidly planted feet were the perfect platform to leap up, which she did. The onrushing barrier passed below as the Twi'lek curled into a ball that spun almost lazily to the two duelists with their Force-enhanced minds' quickened processing before she extended her feet again to come down behind the Jedi.

Danger flared in her mind but she ignored it, already spinning around in near-unison with Syn as they faced each other again, she'd already seen the palm-strike that would have rendered her unconscious from behind had she been any slower. Instead her yellow saber whirled around as it extended in ignition as she brought it up to parry her opponent's unarmed blows. It wasn't fair, but then combat wasn't supposed to be. Syn should know better than to try and punch an ignited saber regardless.

He was focused and within it.. the force rushed within his body and blue waves cascaded across his skin where the blade touched it. tutaminis to the blade itself to drain the energy away and feed it into himself. THe energy could be there before the jedi master didn't need to step back he barely moved but let the blade pass then the energy was being released..... a flurry of strikes that were made to be like the creature that had given the style its name. Hundreds of quick taps... pelts even within the span of a blink..... juyo was a fascinating creature and a form that lent to raw natural power.

The energy being released with each strike rolling off of his limbs with displacement of the air. Enhanced body strikes to drive back Domino to try and strike quickly vital areas she might not be expecting like a tap for one of her lekku or the vegas nerve in her liver and solar plexus. He didn't need to smirk or show well emotion to the fight.. this wasn't about winning it was about having something akin to fun and enjoyment from a time before a whole lot had changed... he preferred it really. Wanting to listen to the time and the jedi master stopped planting a foot back as he shifted it in the ground planting himself and narrowing his focus.

He breathed for a moment holding the air in and then sent it out with his body preparing for a strike back from her. She might not like fist fighting after all but bringing out the sabers would be something to do later.. in a moment. He moved quickly rotating and kicking off of his back foot to twist into the air and bring his foot down with a thunderous strike to the ground to make a small shockwave to send outwards towards Domino to try and get her to jump up again and dodge as he brought his arms around with twin arcs of energy coming off of his hands like mini kinetite blasts of energy he had converted from her blade slicing into his wrists. Blue energy cascading along his arms and legs with tutaminis for catching and blocking saber strikes.

The blue flashes as Domino's saber made contact with Syn's body became less frequent as the Twi'lek shifted back to the defensive, using her blade only to block and keep her opponent at bay as she ducked and weaved her way back, trying to impart as little energy as possible to him. Still her breathing was even and her mind calm, analytical even, as she reached out and established her own force connection with tutaminis. She cast the force out into the ground behind her building it up, layer upon layer. Training under combat conditions meant that she wasn't in this for fun, combat was not fun, and she was taking this very seriously as a chance to push herself to the limit of her abilities.

Syn sent out his shockwave and Domino jumped into a long arc back to avoid it just as he wanted, her free hand snaking around behind her back to grasp her pike. The blades shot out at her and she brought her weapon around slicing the haft through the blasts to disrupt them with the alchemized tenterak parts contained within. At the height of the parabola of her jump, she cut her concentration to the force she'd been building up as a myriad of stone spears erupted from the ground behind where she'd been standing towards the hybrid Jedi to impale him regardless of if he advanced towards her or stood his ground. The field of spires was such that a large swath of the path and gardens on either side were torn to shreds.

Landing in a half-crouch, Domino sheathed her saber and readied her unactivated pike as a staff while rising back into a ready stance. "You mustn't be afraid to think big." Under the morning sun still rising, she grinned for the first time, pleased with the area she'd been able to affect on so short a preparation.

He was unsure what she was doing at first, dodging while using makashi and it seemed going almost against the style of the form but then he realized it when he felt it. vibrations and power all around like an earthquake as the jedi master kept moving and weaved. Dodging to the side of a spike coming from the ground before he twisted and grabbed one sending himself up into the air. His vision in the force finding her and listening as the blood in his body pumped fresh and anew.. he enjoyed the thril of the fight more then the fight itself... he wanted to be invigorated somewhat and his hand came down flattening the spikes with a kinetic blast of energy.

THe ground leveled as he could see her drawing on more of the force and had her weapons at the ready. The jedi master coming down and crouching while his blades were finally in his hands. The silver hilts pulsating with the solari micro crystals in them and warm to the touch from pontite. The inth metal was designed to be a master work of the jedi order's artisan's as the sound came. No activation stud, his intention and the force making them activate as the biometric grips were keyed specifically to the jedi master with a duel snap hiss. The trap grips not activating but instead there was the enhanced lens that channeled the blades into fine points for cutting.

The pale purple blades gleamed with silver cores giving it a more ethereal look as the thinner blades were more focused energy for cutting hotter and over longer periods of time. His eyebrows raised up for a moment underneath his sash before he partially lunged forward and drove the blade into the ground sweeping it into an arc with his foot digging in and ground him to the area. The circle he made was quick, semi crude but it served its purpose as the jedi master kicked up and lifted with the force twisting his body using the momentum to pick the rocks up like a masive club and send it towards her to try and crash down the center.

He was then moving though before it could crash, the force in his body for acceleration and speed when he moved to cover one of the possible ways to dodge. Blades titlted in front of him as he moved and made them more like a wall to smash into something and strike from several directions within a few heartbeats. He was letting the force come out as the sonic shockwave from the speed let out a boom that displaced and smashed several fo the windows that had been left intact from Domino's tearing up larger sections of the courtyard and gardens. His wall of saber struck and sliced through rocky spikes that sent them moving around and smashing into smaller pieces that sent debris clouds up into the air.

music becauses embedded players take up too much space

He was throwing her own rubble back at her, how perfect. Domino's pike spun around and a single side ignited by her will and extended out to its full ninety centimeters. Now she had maybe two meters reach on him as she charged into his attack, she slid under the bolder almaginated from the off-castings of her own previous attack as it flew towards where she had been, her armored legs sliding through the dirt and gravel of the path as the attack passed inches from her bent back head, and sprang up into a thrust between Syn's own sabers, her yellow blade seemingly ordinary in contrast to his paired silvery purple.

The shockwave of his movement washed over Domino and flowed around her, seemingly unable to touch the twi'lek as she moved ever forward. She had no need tobreak the soundbarrier for despite her opponent's speed he found her always ready, waiting for his next attack flowing from one defensive stance to the next as she blocks and evaded in turn, one move flowing into the next that always left her precisely where she needed to be for the next as she teased back at his own defenses. One moment her blade threatened his wrist before it deactivated and the electrical generator snapped on to shock at him like an electrostaff as her pike spun around to bat away his other attack along its phrik body, the blade on the opposing end snapping to life as it came around to slice towards his neck and she sidestepped to place herself on the wrong side of the weapon for him to slice through.

Her eyes were closed again, they were moving to fast for them to be anything other than a hindrance to her as she lost herself to the embrace of the force. A single bead of sweat gathered and ran down her back before it could be absorbed by her armor's lining as her tutaminis fuelled meditation gave off waste heat to her body. For while Syn might be pulling the occasional energy boost from her saber strikes, she'd tethered herself to the most powerful energy source for light years around, the sun. Steady, persistent, more energy than she could burn through in a thousand years.

Domino was strong and she was moving fast to keep up with him as his blade came to meet hers as she switched and kept them moving. He could see her leading and controlling some of his movements as the speed they could move at was breakneck when his blade came up to defend his neck while the other was protecting a wrist. The jedi master internally grinned within though as he touched the ground and kicked off feeling the force energies themselves as they went into Domino and he was impressed... for the most part few really could tap into one of the sun and have the constant flow of energy.

He knew how to generate force energy from a planet much to the same effect but one had to be rooted and plant themselves practically in a single place... which only served to keep him still inafight like this. THe jedi master moved and smashed into a wall as he kicked off of it and moved his blade to slash and wanted to catch her pike. He wanted to lock the blade to preform a flowing water cut along the length and with his strength push the blade to go back towards her chest and face.

This was impressive, outside of training nobody had kept up with Domino for this long after her rise to the rank of Master. She actually got the sense from the Jedi that he was having as much fun toying with her as she was with him. So it was time to switch things up again. As Synlidwirh leaped back to push off a near-by building for what she was sure would be a devastating attack, Domino once again gathered her power and sent it out into the world. He should have known that she wouldn't have accepted a head-on contest of strength. That wasn't how Domino fought.

The Jedi came at the Twi'lek and their blades met in a crackling, snarling, hiss as Syn pressed his blade lock then there was a flicker as Domino's pike deactivated its blade and Syn's weapon was in free fall towards her face... Only to cut through empty air as she disappeared. Behind the Jedi Domino launched a backwards thrust with the still activated electric generator on her weapon towards her opponent's unprotected back.

The movements, he hadn't completely expected trakata techniques for a fight like this but it was something you needed to be prepared for as he moved forward... his blade was falling forward and so was he as he felt it. The heat of the blade aimed at his back as he went to the ground and used the force to cushion and slide forward back out of range. Feet pushing against the stone to send him up and hand digging in as he twisted his body quickly coming into a crouch with the blade forward and a smirk on his face. He rolled his shoulders thinking about a new approach towards going at the force master. Speed was something both of them could match, strength he might have over her but she also knew how to be a lot more tricky compared to him. He would have to get her to trip up but her pike had more reach then his sabers before he dug his foot into the ground and reached out focusing energy into a compressed ball of kinetite that he could fling towards her.

That was her fault, she should have met his attack, made him falter before launching her counter, not let him keep his momentum to draw him out of range. She wouldn't willingly do that again. Instead she let go of her pike with her left hand and made a fist with it while her weapon came around to defend her far side again. Once again he was choosing to engage her on grounds of her own expertise. Her left hand opened around a growing ball of beaten blackish purple shot through with violent pink about twelve centimeters across.

She charged, propelled by the force to an extreme speed, her pike trailing behind now with both blades activated. Her left arm swung forward and released the spinning ball down the path of Syn's own attack as she rushed in just behind it, another already beginning to glow in hand.

THere was something to be said for two kinetite blasts smacking into each other at high speeds.. mostly there was a reason you didn't do it as the reverberation and shockwave produced the Jedi master felt himself digging his heels into the ground to resist. It was something powerful and he wanted to see what she could do and how strong she was but both held back... for safety before he was moving and using the shockwave as a means to move quickly. He was going to the sides and holding one of his sabers ready to defend against the pike before pulling the debris around them forwards. Something to try and smack her at different angles.

Domino couldn't fly, but her kinetite could, and Domino used it to pull herself through while protecting her face from the blast as the kicked up derbies battered into her armor, the plates reforming and repairing themselves even as they became gouges and pockmarked. She powered through to the other side even as the shock wave died down, not intending to give Syn an inch of breathing room in which to reestablish himself. Setting a foot down, Domino launched herself sideways with Inertia, a gift from the teachings of Darth Bane, and towards her opponent as he re-positioned himself.

Her left hand extended again and the second orb shot forward to break apart into five as they curved out and around to come at Synlidwirh from multiple angles, some smashing into the projectiles he was sending back. This time when she shimmered and disappeared it wasn't to attack, but to dodge and change up the pacing yet again. She reappeared some twenty meters off to his side and sent another pair of kinetite blasts towards him almost casually after sweeping aside a strike that didn't exist with her pike.

Domino's eyes were open again as she turned her face up towards the risen sun. "If only you could see sunrises old friend." She mourned. "I used to not appreciate their beauty, something you'll always be denied. But I can let you feel them." The Force flared around the duo as once again the Twi'lek began drawing on her tutaminis link to the Sun and the smell of burnt ozone permeated the air. "Time to step it up I think."

He moved speed with the speed making him practically vibrate in place for a moment instead of just going around. THe force had slowed down the world around the jedi master and he wasn't going to waste the power that went throughout his body. Kinetite blasts coming at him as he weaved his body around them feeling the edge of her power rolling when she used the sun. He planted his feet again and pulled at the world itself. Life here was strong and generating power from the living force was channeling through him and into the energy he focused on himself. Physical enhancement as his muscles didn't get larger but they were empowered... body steady with his breathing and heartbeat. He wasn't going to overexert himself. The jedi master smirked though looking at her as he rolled his shoulders. "Maybe but there is still much I can see compared to the rest. Your technique for instance... not many know how to draw from the sun itself. They only seem to think they can absorb lightsabers no imagination."
