There were few things that rivaled the raw power Sith Sorcery had over the Force. Dubiety had always been a student of the dark arts, trying to learn all he possibly could on it. But there was some magics he could never possess. Dathomir magic was the only form the young Sith truly respected despite not being able to use it himself. It's what brought him here today. While his father Darth Carnifex handled the Mandalorians themselves, the son would find the Witches who survived the Mandalorian slaughter and show them the worth of a Sith Alliance.
With his growing powerbase he landed outside known Witch territory, holding onto his staff as he gazed about the red sky that covered the planet. "Be mindful of your surroundings. It's likely they already have weapons pointed at us. Lark I leave you to finding any sign of them, but do not engage. We're here to make peace after all."

Cassiopeia stood beside Ambrose, Yasha Cadera, and Tuulu on the deck of the Aaranov. In her armor, she held her helmet in her hand as she observed the landscape of the planet. Despite Cassiopeia’s love for biology, genetics, and evolution, Dathomir was not a planet she was fond of. Was it the Gate? The general aura of the planet? Perhaps, she just knew how much Yasha hated it and that had influenced her opinion.
Cassiopeia had never even set foot on the planet before, mostly for this reason. But, Yasha had messaged her – informed her that through the War Master, Aedan Miles, a deal with the Sith could be reached. Would it be a deal with the devil? She couldn’t quite answer that in her own mind. As a member of the Wue’gi’vod, it was her duty to assist.
Not that she would have let Yasha go alone, anyway. Cassiopeia had a goal to never let Kaas happen again.
Dathomir wouldn’t be controlled by Mandalore anymore, which in truth put ease in Cassiopeia’s mind. An ally with the most evil individuals in the galaxy? A little worrisome. But, Cassiopeia wasn’t raised to fear those with the Dark Side. Her mother indifferent, much like how Cassiopeia had become with the Force. Her father admired the power and respect that came from it, despite never acting upon his innate abilities.
She placed her helmet on her head and took a breath, a breath luckily concealed by her helmet. Can’t show signs of weakness, right?
After all, the Sith were mighty. That was something Cassiopeia had to respect, despite her personal feelings about their leadership.
She put her hand on Yasha’s back, a gentle squeeze of her shoulder, before their delegation would get move forward. “One step at a time,” she whispered – somewhat to herself, somewhat to her friend.
One step at a time indeed. Thedelegations were prepared and the talks were to begin. Cassiopeia watched as the Dark Lord, Emperor Darth Carnifex moved forward first. Cassiopeia stood beside Yasha, she approached nearly in sync with her as they approached the Sith delegation. Cassiopeia made sure to keep a careful eye on Yasha. She wouldn't let her best friend, her family, out of her sight.
A chair was in front of her. A common sight under Mand'alor the Infernal - she held power, but trusted it between her advisers.
Cassiopeia said nothing. She listened and observed the Sith, for now.

Cynthia felt the tension coming from Yasha. It made her uneasy herself. Cynthia hated not only the sith but this world made her skin crawl. Cynthia looked over to Yasha watching Cass place a hand to Yasha's shoulder. "what Cass said, we are here for you as you are here for our people. Believe in us who believe in you." Her words came softly as she calmed herself too. The woman looked out onto those across from her if not for her buyce they'd see the scowl upon her face. It spoke of untamed hatred. To this day Cynthia wished to watch them but to ash, how could one trust a cruel tyrant such as the sith let alone their emperor. She felt as if this relationship with and enemy was not needed but Cynthia respected the wisdom of her mand'alor and trusts she knows what she is dong.
Cynthia held her shotgun firm in her hands as she looked around. "Ca, I want you on high alert. Motion sensors echo the works. If something is coming towards us I wanna know. It could be a trap."
"Will do. You seem really tense. Are you okay?"
"I have to be. For mand'alor."
"Yes, for mand'alor"
As they both spoke Yasha went forth to reply to Carnifax. It was taking willpower not to cease the opportunity, although Cynthia enjoyed her life to give it up in a suicide attempt again.

A momentous day indeed. She had never thought she would see a time where a more binding treaty might come into existence between the Mandalorians and the Sith Empire. And yet... here they were, Taeli having accompanied the Dark Lord and his entourage for the talks on Dathomir. This planet was steeped in the dark side, even more so after her rather clandestine experiment with the Creeping Lignan on the Australis garrison near the Warlock Gate. She was almost certain that the Mandalorians hadn't wiped out all those infested with the crystals... but that was in the past when it seemed likely a war might erupt.
She smiled from behind the hulking figures of the Emperor and his Shadow Hand towards Yasha, a friendlier face for the younger woman to see. It might also help her steady herself, to know that Taeli was supporting these talks. She didn't recognize the other Mandalorians with the Mand'alor, but she was assuming they were rather high ranking within their society. She didn't see Warmaster Miles yet, the man who had spearheaded the negotiations to even reach this point, but she was sure he would be here.
For the moment, she would remain silent as the Emperor and Yasha spoke.

Aedan strode forward slightly behind Mand'alor calmly his helmet left behind on his ship as he grinned casually while looking around a pair of Cragmaloids from the Red Fang striding forward amongst the guard for the group his movements easy and calm. Each stride measured as he looked towards the Sith delegation grinning to himself at some of the familiar faces. He did not wear standard beskar'gam today as he was awaiting a new set that was being custom made he glanced around the Mandalorian delegation noting how uneasy they were which he supposed was fair given how things had been with the Sith recently. But at times when attacked by those who sought any reason they could to wage war it was needed to make unusual allies and Aedan had used ever line of inquiry he could to gain this chance to have Mand'alor and the Emperor meet. Finally the reached the chairs and with a casual smirk and his usual display of confidence Aedan etched a small bow easy bow in Carnifex's direction before he took a seat in one smooth motion the cape at hanging from his shoulders bellowing outward from the movements of the bow and draping over the chair as he easily plucked a bottle of rather expensive brandy from a pocket setting the still cold bottle on the table with a grin as one of his guards set a case he carried on the table opening it to reveal a large quantity of glasses. With an easy wave of his hand and small manipulation of the force glasses rose to rest evenly on the table before everyone before Aedan easily let the bottle of brandy glide through the air towards one of Carnifex's guard so as they could test it for any tampering of any kind. Speaking finally to all those present as if it was the most natural thing in the world. "It is an honor to be present for this historic moment."

As the decades flowed like water into a bucket the galaxy was engulfed in a constant turbulent state of war, a never ending conflict. It was like two tsumanis crashing into one another each fighting for dominance over the known galaxy, everyone and everything caught in the deadly crossfire. As worlds burned nations and empires rose and fell among the ashes and shards of the past. While faces changed and philosophies tweaked after thousands of years repeating the same cycle over and over again, the sides were always the same light vs darkness. There were variables scattered throughout the endless war, variables that fell in the middle but never remained there for long. The wars forced them to choose a side before their side was chosen for them. The Sith Order stood through it all in one iteration or another a great empire of the north whose size expanded and contracted anywhere from just one sector of space to a majority stake in the entire galaxy, and a domination of the entire core and mid rims.
They achieved glories never seen before coming from the days of the Old Sith to the One Sith and now the Tenth Sith Empire. Records were broken and achievements that were long thought to never be topped were sent crashing down. If there was one philosophy that came out of the Sith Order was that nothing in this reality was impossible, everything is impossible until somebody does it, seizes it with their bare hands and a relentless drive to do what others have only dreamed of. The ancient world of Dathomir was one such ambition. A world so saturated in the dark side of the force and its disciples that it permeated throughout the ages, withstood the test of time while the famous Nightsister Covens achieved immortality, they were forever etched into the walls of history. As planets changed hands like playing cards at a casino table Dathomir remained forever out of reach from the Sith Empires in the past millenia, not since the days of the First Galactic Empire did a Sith Lord control Dathomir.
But all that would change.
In the very beginning when Darth Carnifex, Warmaster of the Sith Ascendancy stood alongside his hand Darth Prazutis before a gathering of the most powerful sith in the galaxy, the Zambranos promised change like never before. The Zambrano Empire thrived through every empires rise and fall, and they promised through force of will that the Sith would reign. Kaine Zambrano was crowned Sith Emperor his uncle the Shadow Hand. How soon did they prove their words to be true when the empire expanded like a viral infection, its rage so destructive it smashed several great galactic nations into dust, even sending the bastion of light the Galactic Alliance tumbling down. It was through the Sith Empire that the Great Galactic War ended in a decisive dark side victory, something not too long before seemed impossible when the light reigned.
Now more would change.
A group of military escorts met in orbit above the red dusted, haunted world of the nightsisters a gaggle of very diverse ships all flying different IFF tags, their shuttles sweeping down to the wind swept world gathering in a great circle. As the lead shuttles ramp came down and out swept Darth Carnifex the Sith Emperor and Dark Lord, at his side was none other than the Shadow Hand Darth Prazutis, Supreme Commander the leaders of the Zambrano Dynasty walked side by side a wall of crimson clad Nerean Crownguard surrounding them like a wall. They were accompanied by Taeli Raaf, and top advisers all hand picked to fulfill a role. It felt odd walking alongside the titans of panatha. They had a powerful dark side presence each like a swirling maelstrom, a rolling fog that heavied the air as if it was trying to smother one under it. Together they merged accompanied by the auras of their allies it was a swirling black void.
As always Braxus walked alongside his nephew always together, always they stood united throughout the ages kings, gods it didn't matter. A bond that ran deeper than their force connection was forged many decades ago when he came to visit the delapidated Zambrano estate on Thyferra, the last of a great dynasty that fell so far into debauchery they were thrown off a planet they had been on since before the time of Vitiate. Ever since he saw Kaine standing in the blown tower his hands clasped behind his back covered in the blood of the servants he hunted down as part of a sadistic game. They had nothing and together they spoke of the future of the visions they had for what would come. Their bond was forged on that very day a promise he made to always stand by him in this life and the next, not even death could keep Kaine down. Even as the netherworld tried to take Kaines spirit when his body failed him it was Braxus who led the charge in the ritual, outgunned by the Jedi Master Gabriel Sionoma and the one who brought Kaine down the first time.
The Lord of Lies could've left his nephew there he had inherited all of his titles in Kaines absence, ruled as Arch-King. But he didn't. Instead he spat in the face of the grim reaper and pulled him out returning a galactic terror to the world at large. They were a united front a strike on one was a strike on both of them, a family pulled from nothing to become the most powerful Sith Dynasty in the galaxy. As they approached the delegation of Yasha Cadera, Aedan Miles, Cynthia Solus, Cassiopeia Australis, came into view descending from their own ships. Carefully he scanned each and every visor, each and every face. Most communication was nonverbal and he carefully read them all, their posture, his powerful eyes like molten orbs and his deadpan look made it impossible to see what his intentions were. Inwardly there was a simmering anger the past still hot on his mind. Time was relative for an immortal three years, three hundred years it was a trickle in the bucket. He would never forget someone who struck against his family, his blood, he would never forget the battle that raged between Kaine and Yasha beneath Kaas City.
It was a miracle that she still breathed, that he let her breathe. To strike against the Emperor of the Sith, a Zambrano was to invite annihilation to ones door. Jedi were crucified, worlds burned to ash and countless trillions sent screaming into the afterlife. Enemies of House Zambrano always got what was coming to them it didn't matter what titles they claimed, what worlds they owned. But she did. It was swept under the rug and a non agression pact kept. For the first time in many years since the raging wars of the past the Sith enjoyed a peace with the Mandalorians. They hadn't seen the Infernal since yet no matter what happened he would never forget. He could put on a mask to fool everyone and put on an illusion but it would never fade. As Yasha spoke her statement was in two parts basic, one part Epicant. He responded "Wi orrypi maduemb. Tepi er maduemb da om eppaldos Yoruo, dulii i'iolr oli gyrd o klan em dui xyvqid ah idilmedi'. Wi uozi mad halbaddim dui dlomrblirreamr ah dui nord, xyd dakoi' er o vuomvi da pazi halvolk. Let us dispense with the pleasantries and begin we have much to discuss" Prazutis said easily switching from the tongue of a native speaker of epicant to basic mid statement. He didn't shift his head but his mind shifted towards his nephew, ultimately Kaine decided how they would proceed.

A thin smile crept across the Emperor's face, "My dear Mand'alor, I had expected your arrival but did not want to assume." He crossed one arm across his chest, his hand placed over his heart, as he inclined his head forward in respect towards the other leader. "But let us not mince words, we are not here to trade barbs in our mother language. For the sake of those around us, I request that we only use the common tongue." He waved them towards the assembled collection of chairs, tables, and refreshments supplied by both sides, particularly the large casks of alcoholic beverages for those so inclined to partake of it. The Emperor of the Sith indulged in none of those things, but he did take his place at the symbolic head of the gathering on his significantly larger seat.
Leaning forward with fingers steepled, he spoke of what the Empire desired. "It has come to our attention that you wish to finally ally with the Sith Empire after all these years, Yasha. At long last, we can see eye-to-eye for the betterment of both of our peoples. We're warriors, Yasha, we needn't bicker and heckle when there are so many in the galaxy who would rather see us laid low."
He gestured around him, "And this choice of locale was not by happenstance, Dathomir has long been integral to the destinies of both the Sith and the Mandalorians." What was left unspoken was that Dathomir was where the Sith Emperor traveled to the Netherworld of the Force to retrieve the tortured spirit of Ra Vizsla nearly five years ago, sparking the events of the Mandalorian Empire's rise and the persecution of Force-sensitives at Vizsla's hands.

As Lark descended towards the surface of Dathomir, he idly flipped the pages of his newfound Necronomicon. An unspeakably powerful artifact, the tome would assist him in summoning and controlling Sithspawn and other infernal beasts, so long as he had the blood necessary for sacrifices. He could hear faint whispers of madness dig into his mind, understand the demented script. It was trying to tell him something, the book was. A piece of knowledge that would come with a price, surely. Why else would the text so desperately urge him farther on?
Regardless, it was an interesting read. Unlike anything he had ever studied before. Lark had always had a curiosity towards spells and the like, he had only been able to learn a few basic tricks. Perhaps the Necronomicon would assist in teaching him more.
As their vessel landed, Lark shut the Necronomicon, and the primeval whispers ceased. He chained it to his hip, where it would remain until Lark deemed it necessary. They were here on a mission of peace, he had no intention of using that dreadful tome. The pair of Sith, Lark and Dubiety, stepped out under the sanguine sky, searching for a nearby tribe of Witches that were known to reside in the area. Lark calmly strolled through a nearby trail, knowing that there were likely a dozen different Witches who could kill him in a dozen different ways mere meters away from him. A few he could sense, others he knew would shroud themselves from detection.
They entered a small clearing, where a lone Witch awaited them. "Awfully bold to wander so far away from safety," she said, glaring at them both distrustfully. Her eyes lingered on the Necronomicon attached to his hip, and Lark could sense her brief shock. To her credit, she hid it well, but the seed of curiosity had been planted in her mind. Other Witches emerged from the shadows armed to the teeth, more surely lurked nearby. "It is not wise to tarry here. What brings you to our domain?"
"Peace," Lark said cordially. "An offer, one that I believe will be beneficial to us both."

Cassiopeia had struggled to get a full grasp of Epicant. She had plenty of books, holopads, holovids, and other items to assist her in learning the language but she had found herself easily distracted during it. She could pick some words out, when it was spoken clearly and without accent – and she attributed that to listening to Yasha Cadera speaking it through the years.
Cassiopeia nodded her agreement with Cynthia Solus. “I’m not letting you out of my sight,” she reaffirmed after a few moments. To be fair, it wasn’t like Cassiopeia would be much of a fight for any of them – she was an academic, not really a fighter. But, she could at least push through enough to give them time.
Either way, Cassiopeia didn’t feel Cynthia did. She was glad, though, Cynthia had a different perspective and was prepared. After all, no one knew for sure what would happen. The Sith would not really have anything to gain to attack them during a pact meeting, particularly with Dathomir within their grasps. “We’ll be okay,” she said encouragingly to Cynthia and her entourage, with a warm smile. Cassiopeia, despite 10 years ago, had become a mother bear. In protective and caring mode, constantly. Cynthia was like family to her, just like Yasha was her best friend, practically her sister.
Cassiopeia, grateful for her buy’ce, cracked a grin at Aedan Miles entrance. Already, he was sipping some form of alcohol. It was impressive, in truth. At least someone felt comfortable enough to do that –but, his actions acted in a boost of confidence for at least Cassiopeia. It was too tense and she felt that he broke that, at least to an extent.
Darth Carnifex spoke. She observed him carefully. Darth Prazutis next to him, but he wasn’t on her radar as much as Carnifex was. His body language confirmed to Cassiopeia that this was not a death trap but a real negotiation. Granted, Cassiopeia kicked herself mentally for still evening thinking it was something different. There really wasn’t a point in it. It was also a relief that they would be speaking Basic. Whew.
Yasha offered for the delegates to eat and drink, another fortunate break in the atmosphere of the platform. Another woman had arrived – another of Yasha’s friends. Taeli Raaf. She had heard about her, but could only assume she had some power in the Sith Empire. Either case, Yasha was nearly face to face with Carnifex. It made Cassiopeia nervous, but she knew her friend was strong.
She was strong. And maybe, maybe there would be some healing from the Battle under Kaas on this day. In sync, Cassiopeia removed her helmet, her hair flowing down past her shoulders. There was no reason to be behind a helmet – it was defensive, guarded. Cassiopeia knew if this was too work, trust had to be placed and received. In her little way, this was that.
She would give Prazutis a greeting nod, with another to Taeli.
Cassiopeia, though, did not move from where she stood. No, she would not drink, or eat, or enjoy the rather delicious looking alcoholic beverages that sat tantalizingly close. She was here on business – and wanted a clear mind. She pulled her chair out, sat down, and rested her hands in her lap.

While he wasn't pleased with the price for having the Sith as an ally he knew in the long run this would benefit the Mandalorians more in the long run, He arrived with the Infernal and Cassiopeia Australis to meet with several of the sith these sith were only known to him by reputation only as he has never seen or spoken to them so he has little idea on how they react to the talks. He doesn't expect it to go poorly but he arrived armed and clad in his new Beskar armor as he kept with Yasha Cadera like her second shadow as they arrived to the meeting point he looked over each sith specifically to gauge them so far from his eyes.
He first looked to Darth Carnifex, The infamous emperor of the sith themselves and he could see why with his stature he saw a beast of battle that has seen carnage in various forms yet is also as skilled on the field of battleas he is at the diplomatic table to ensure things go the way that benefit him and his empire. He kept silent as he stood with Cassiopeiabefore he moved his gaze to Darth Prazutis. Who had the same aura around him as Carnifex all be it more inclined to a blade then with words, these are already interesting and powerful creatures before he finally looked to Taeli Raaf, She was a mystery to him she did not looklike much however her aura spoke of a creature ready and willing to be unleashed if she so wished it.
But he kept silent as the Infernal spoke to them in her native tounge for a moment before continuing the talks he merely gave the sith a respectful nod and that was all hesaid as he looked to the vode that where with him he was pleased to see Aedan Miles was present as well the pirate king has proved a useful asset so far and Cynthia Solus has proved her metal on several occasions but for now he kept his attention to the talks and if he needed to say anything in the talks he was ready to do so.

"Kahlil Zambrano, son of the Emperor." Dubiety removed his helmet, smiling wide to the witches as they all stepped into view. His hazel eyes glanced between them, settling on Tarana curiously for a moment. She spoke through their minds as if she was speaking with her voice. He shrugged to Lark before turning his attention back to the older witch, to whom he bowed.
"I would prefer we speak as friends, Miss..?"
Posted 06 February 2019 - 10:24 PM
Lark slightly tilted his head as an unfamiliar voice infiltrated his mind. It wasn't the same maddening whispers the Necronomicon emanated, this was different. He located the source of the invasive hum, another Witch who stood near the one he originally was speaking with. Curious, Lark thought. What was ever stranger, however, was when Kahlil Zambrano removed his helmet, revealing his true identity as one of the many children of the Emperor. Lark had known who Dubiety truly was, but perhaps the man was now embracing the privileges that came with the Zambrano name. That, or he believed exposing his true colors would aid with the imminent peace talks.
"Shien will do," the lead Nightsister said in response to Khalil's inquiry. She then looked towards Lark once more, unable to take her eyes off the wretched tome bound to his hip. "And you? Where did you find that?"
"My name is Lark," he began gracefully. "The two of us were sent as envoys, charged with forming an alliance in preparation for when the negotiations between the Sith Empire and Mandalorian Empire conclude." His eyes shifted from Shien to the one who spoke to them telepathically, noting the tension within both of them. Warranted tension, no doubt, but at least there was no sign of burgeoning hostilities. "Perhaps we might speak somewhere more relaxed? I can enlighten you on how I came across this tome after our conference reaches an end, although I will warn you its quite a long tale."
Shien peered at them, gauging their intent. The Sith were heavily outnumbered, it should be obvious they weren't looking for a fight. But there was also an unspoken truth that the Witch seemed to understand, that compliance would be their best option. If they killed or captured the Sith envoys and the Empire subsequently gained control of Dathomir, how would the Sith react?
Suspicion clouded their eyes, but after a few more moments Shien relented. "Our camp is a short walk away. We'll speak there." She motioned for a few Witches to form a ring around the Sith, not a sign of aggression, but caution. They then began to escort the visitors to their home, where talks would continue in a more comfortable atmosphere.

Dubiety chuckled as the elder Sith seemed far more interested in Lark and his book. Unsurprising, given the dark history of it. For now, it would be in both their interests for him to take the lead. But, that left him with another opportunity. The curious mute witch. Kahlil turned his attention to Tarana , smiling faintly. "Most people don't speak into the minds of others, but perhaps that is the only way you can speak?" He clasped his hands behind his back, occasionally glancing over to Lark and Shien, but mostly focused on the one who showed curiosity rather than skepticism.

"Hard to believe indeed, Mand'alor," she replied. "You have to bring her back to Stormvale soon."
Taeli did not partake of any of the provided refreshments as she had been feeling a tad nauseated from her condition, plus even if this was a peaceful meeting, that Sith paranoia never really went away. She did take one of the provided seats, however. An interesting gambit to play, she thought. To make them all sit equal, emphasis on make them, it could be construed as a power move by the younger woman towards the Sith. Force them to adapt to the Mandalorian's cultural quirks as it were. Normally, this would ruffle some feathers, but... Dathomir had too much to offer for even an implied or accidental slight to upset these beginning stages of the negotiations.
A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips as she sensed some... consternation coming from one of the Mandalorians towards her. She had built a powerful reputation, but also obscured much of what she could do. Not even the Emperor was fully aware of her abilities. But that was the mark of a good Sith, to always keep your true power hidden.
