Days leading up to the day, the people of Tynna had sent summons to the Confederacy of Independent Systems, requesting their presence within their Centrals Government Building. A time had been set, tea was being brewed, cookies were being neatly placed upon the long conference table. The chosen representatives were waiting for their guests to come.

Weeks leading up to today…

As the map of the galaxy slowly changed, the brightest minds of Tynna began talking about the factions fast approaching their territory. Three threats were emerging from three different sides, each of them potentially dangerous but also potentially beneficial to the business of their planet. They had weighed the options faced with, both good and bad before a decision had been made and their government had been informed of what had been decided. Of the three factions, one seemed to outweigh any bad strategical possibilities for their business.

Once it had been decided, the government sent out a message to the Confederacy, inviting them at the appointed time. A meeting would be held and terms would be discussed.

Meeting of Minds ~ Appointed representatives of both the government and the Corporate sector wait for the Confederacy representatives to sit down with them. They’re a corporate world, financially secure and wealthy world faced with decision of choosing a faction of their own choosing rather than being taken over by brute force. They’ll still have conditions of their own in these negotiations.

BLtSO1.png
Organized Tour ~ As Tynna opens its doors towards the Confederacy representatives, they also open their doors to other selected individuals to tour their sights, the former government complex which has since become a monument of old times, the Lutris Lake near the current government building or even the city.

BLtcKj.png
Lost in the Crowd (BYOO) ~ If organized sightseeing isn’t really your thing, find a good time to slip from your planned group and see what Tynna has to offer for yourself. Mind yourself, our hosts haven’t quite planned for that so be careful for them not to notice that.

System Represented: Castagne

Order Represented: IBI, Castan Executive branch, Bio-tech defense systems

Ship in orbit: Castan SD-Tecknor

Interacting with: Got to the meeting too early...just drumming my fingers waiting for the rest to assemble..sigh...

A Castan shuttle with two fighter escorts left the Tecknor which seemingly had been one of the first CIS representatives that had been invited to meet with Tynna's High assembly.

It were Karlie's first mission command since she were returned to duty following what had been deemed an indictment for an incident that she had ultimately been found innocent of. An ordeal which had yet let her come to terms as to whom had been responsible for the heinous acts that she had been framed for.

But all that was officially behind her...it were her own personal feelings that lingered on as to the party she had been mistaken for.

But for now, she gave it some rest as she prepared and looked over her datapad on Tynna's 'Open House' invite and that of the CIS bid into acquiring the system to merge with the collective.

Karlie had not been Castagne's first choice to represent their portion of the CIS. It were not that she weren't qualified, as she were by all standards. It more leaned on the fact that the Castan high Council, her father being Viceroy of Castgne, had hoped she would take more time to recover..set her feelings straight before diving back into the political arena. Karlie was after all an agent in the IBI, the Castan Internal Bureau of Investigation. An executive branch that served the Castan high Council and portions of their military.

Her current rank in the IBI was colonel, which enabled her to commandeer a Castan SD, this one being the Tecknor. The current SD Commander when she commandeered an SD would fall back as second in command. Upon Karlie disembarking the Tecknor, Commander Chase once again resumed Captain of the SD Tecknor.

"Transitional command to Tecknor confirmed...Commander Chase on board." Came the message on her comm from the SD, as her shuttle cleared the ship.

"Shuttle One you are now designated Diplomacy One...good luck Agent Destat."

There, she had been delivered to System Tynna and were heading down planet side with her two escort fighters.

Upon breaching the ionosphere the coordinates with ground control were confirmed and a straight flight path cleared for her shuttle and escort.

Karlie were going over the details of what her system, under CIS jurisdiction could offer in a fair trade agreement with Tynna should they join the Confederacy.

"Miss Destat..we're making approach landing." the comm jarred her eyes from the datapad and on to the port window. She caught the nose point of the fighter on her wing side first, before she looked down as the cloud cover parted.

The cityscape below was well developed and seemed like the local metropolis.

The air traffic patterns at the distance and below her seemed well in order, indicating the infrastructure of the system were as reported.

In no time at all the shuttle touched down and she readied to disembark. The two escort fighters completed their flyby of the immediate area, giving a green light and awaited discharge or landing orders.

Karlie gave them the discharge. They had safely escorted the shuttle and would return back to the Tecknor. The Tecknor would remain in high orbit for as long as Karlie or the CIS required it to.

"Thank you, a pleasure to be here..." Karlie replied to the welcoming party that were there welcoming her to Tynna.

They were well versed in who she were and which system within the CIS she represented.

A frigid, wealthy and often times a military stronghold - Tynna had a vast history. Mishel wasn't normally one to read up on such things but after her sister Alessandra Creed dispatched her as a representative of the Confederacy to GUIDE. The typical street urchin took it upon herself to read, research and actually take the classes as offered by New Habat University of Varunda XI. She sat on the docks over looking Lutris Lake. It was the purest form of blue water she had seen, the ice played a part in that she had no doubt. A book in her lap regarding crystals, lightsaber crystals - something she salvaged from the Sith Library of Ossus on her way out. Many might question why she was reading it, but she wanted to learn and this was the best way. The lake itself was vast, having been called the Great Lake Lutris now - as a ferry travelled across carrying passengers and speeders. No one wanted speeder exhaust over the lake's purity, Mishel couldn't blame them.

Shia chucked a thick jacket toward Mishel as the Jedi departed the Princess Leia, but it sat beside her neatly folded a she turned the page of the book. The contents of the book regarded the artificing of lightsaber crystals, something she hadn't considered before. Trudging of snow and the crushing of the blades of grass told her that Marakai Al'Orren wasn't far away, the half-Felacatian kept tabs on the Jedi Padawan from a distance. Most likely having fished out a fresh catch from the lake itself. On the neatly folded jacket, laid an old stylus with a piece of lead - and paper from Kashyyyk. The paper itself was thick, rigid and did well for writing and arts. Mishel took the paper and the stylus and began to draw out a generic crystal as her eyes shifted from the book to the paper and back again.

This felt like a return to form.

Some time had passed between the present and the Confederacy's liberation of Eshan. Enough so that the Vicelord felt comfortable in personally returning back to the borders of their nation and focusing predominantly on the matters of state. It was no small secret that the Southern Systems felt his absence, for shortly after his return, there was work a plenty to be attended to. One of the primary appointments on the docket was the matter of adjacent systems. As time moved ever forward, the cause of the Confederacy spread like wildfire. The allure of self-determination as opposed to being oppressed by an Imperial regime was certainly attractive to most civilized worlds. And Tynna was no different it seemed. As a world driven by commerce, it made sense that they would be interested in joining a nation founded upon independence and self-determination. For it was within such democratic systems that a free market could prosper.

As a result, Darth Metus opted to make a personal appearance during the talks. Typically speaking, he would lean upon one of his Exarchs or Ministers to attend to the introductory negotiations. However, it would do the Confederacy good to see their liege returned to a state of normalcy. Recent history had been nothing but militant action and militant spending; showing the people that this was not going to be a permanent trend was an absolute necessity. At least, that was one of the pieces of advice that Darth Metus' personal adviser had shared during their debriefing. In the wake of Eshan, the Viceroy of Manda had proved invaluable in keeping an ear to the ground regarding the citizenry's attitude towards the direction of the Viceroyalty. Between discrete polls and other measures, Valencia Hadley amassed a wealth of data that helped inform the Vicelord's next move.

And as to be expected, the adviser would be present for the momentous occasion. The arrival of the Vicelord's entourage above the distant world was modest compared to their stampeding into Eshan airspace. As opposed to a congregation of warships, there was only a sleek, executive shuttle which sliced through the heavens. The vessel was escorted by a pair of droid starfighters which tarried close until the ship touched down upon the landing pad. As the shudder rocked the vessel's form, Darth Metus rose from his seat. This day, the armor had been left at home in favor of a crisp suit and sans a tie. Ironically enough, the last time he had worn such had been during his first meeting with his adviser - as from that point, the drums of war had begun to sound. It was...admittedly…nice to be able to leave the armor at home.

Before heading towards the exit ramp - and by extension the welcoming party - the Sith offered his adviser a confident smile. "I feel this is more your area of expertise." he remarked. "Mind taking the lead while I wave and smile?" There was a degree of jest in his tone, denoting that - of course - the negotiations would be taken seriously. But. Given recent history...it was nice to be able to share a chuckle. With thus said, Darth Metus led the way down the ramp, pausing only once they encountered the welcoming party of the delegation. Thus far, the Confederates were yet gathering, but a singular face stuck out among the rest. A woman who he had last spoken to during the purge of Melida/Daan.

Conflicting reports had made their way across his desk about this woman. And moreover, about the demise of his son. There were so many shades of gray when it came to the scenario that he had to put it out of his mind and focus on the present. Now that the battle was over, he could seek the final answer from the Knights Obsidian and respond accordingly. But for now, the representative of Castagne would be greeted with a warm smile as well. "I trust your travels were well?" he would inquire, making small talk whilst the remainder of the delegation mustered.

Orders were Orders.

When it came to matters of warring states, information was easily one of the most vital keys to victory. Knowing one's adversary was the difference between flying into an operation blind and knowing what moves the enemy would make beforehand. Life and death hung in the balance of being informed; and as a result, the Confederacy took renewed strides towards dominating this area of warfare. And, as an Obsidian Knight, Ephraim deWinter was no stranger to how the nation went about securing this particular advantage. Typically speaking, the role of the Pathfinders within the organization was to utilize all streams of information in order to keep the peace and to ferret out corruption. Staying ahead of enemy operations and potentially going deep undercover were part of the job - but they were not the job.

Until now.

By the order of the Vicelord, funds were devoted towards the creation of a new unit. They would be small in number. They would be somewhat autonomous. And they would do everything required to maintain the Confederacy's dominance - from assassinations to sabotage and everything in between. The kicker here was, this unit did not officially exist. In fact, if any of their activities were to be discovered, the Confederacy would disavow them. Sector Seven as the project was tentatively dubbed, would be exactly what the Confederacy needed when they needed it. And Ephraim had been selected to be its Handler. The burden soon fell upon his shoulders to vet and organize the first generation of this organization; and right off the bat he had three souls in mind.

A Wildling. A Wild One. And a Ghost. One he knew personally. One was directly tasked with being apart of this unit. One was...effectively an enigma. This day, all four of them would come under one roof...in plain sight. Now, on paper, such a thing would seem counterproductive to a cell of agents. However. Ephraim saw this as an excellent opportunity to vet the abilities of those he had scoped out. If they could have such a discussion in the literal light of day, then certainly they could handle thinking on their feet abroad. Thus, they would be going on an organized tour of the defunct side of Tynna. Those who had been chosen had been instructed to gather outside of an imposing, marble building where Ephraim would be waiting. Alone. The tour guide had been...unceremonious relieved of his duties and would awake several hours later - if at all.

Sure, there would be a couple actual tourists who'd fall in, but that was part of the challenge was it now?

Cay-Yo had never been to a diplomatic meeting such as this before and therefore unsure of what to expect. He could assume that the leaders of each side would leave much of the legwork to the lower tiers of the delegation to handle, only truly negotiating the top of the list topics. The Patitite wore the same uniform he had worn, although repaired and cleaned, in the invasion of Eshan. This included the array of little gold medals and the durasteel sword sheathed on his left hip.

Moving past others into the Welcome party he did not try to attract too much attention to himself, only every now and then giving answering those who asked who he was and what he did "I am Cay-Yo, I sell bandages." he'd reply to them all. Perhaps the others would be more experienced in this matter but for now all that Cay-Yo wanted was to know where exactly this meeting would take place. He was here for the negotiations, not the handshakes - besides he didn't want to hurt anyone with his titanic grip.

The shuttle was adorned with the distinctive green heraldry of Corellia, emblazoned with the corporate logo of Corellia Digital. It swooped low as it dropped among the clouds, traveling from out of the shadow of a Mon Calamari cruiser in orbit, above, as it sailed toward an aerial platform that rose above the Tynnan city of Lutris.

A Tynnan delegation was waiting to greet the corporate representatives. Emerging from out of the shuttle, the young Anzati was attired for the cold, with a fineweave scarf wrapped about his shoulders. A BB unit rolled alongside the boy, who paused to genuflect in the Jedi tradition as he approached the diminutive delegation of Tynnans.

"Welcome to Tynna, Mister Xantha," the elder Tynnan announced in greeting.

"An opportunity to do business with the great engineers of the Shipwrights' Trace is a welcome one, indeed," the boy replied in kind.

"But should we welcome the opportunity to do business with you?"

The boy's eyes belied the predator within. The proverbial wolf in near-human clothing that masked his true nature as a fledgling vampire. Cerulean blue orbs of cold fire swept over to where another Tynnan had adopted a curiously aggressive tone -- a rather threatened stance -- toward him. "My understanding is that your Corellia Digital network is still operating 4Grek. Here on Tynna, our standard is 5Grek," the Tynnan uttered shortly, before tacking on, "Doing business with you would seem a step backward for our people."

The arrogance hung heavy in the air. The smug tone of the Tynnan eliciting an uncharacteristic dislike from the former Jedi. Sor-Jan forced a smile through gritted teeth, doing his utmost to maintain some facade of civility as he merely asked, in turn, "Is that so?"

Play the part of the diplomatic that the Jedi taught him to be.

And try to forget the reality that the boy could summarily melt this Tynnan's mind with but a passing thought. A quaint and horrific fact that was just one part of his culture and heritage as one of the Anzati. "Well, I should look forward to see your communications infrastructure," Sor-Jan offered, on a more conciliatory note, trying to seem hopeful as he suggested, "Perhaps what you've built here will serve as a new galactic standard."

Nevermind that it was easy to get a single planet operating on 5Grek.

But Sor-Jan wasn't bridging the lines of communication for a single planet, he was connecting the Kathol Republic to Coruscant. And then there were the far-flung worlds beyond the Tingel Arm; Midvinter, Laekia, and Tash-Taral. Getting all of them operating on a stable 5Grek network was a momentous undertaking that would likely take a decade to complete. If not more.

And that was without invasions sailing all over the place.

The older Tynnan interrupted, clearing his throat even as he gestured toward an air speeder. "Well, it seems we have a lot to talk about."

Derek Dib

    Viceroy of Siskeen

Location: Tynna
Objective: Meeting of Minds (1)

One of the Confederacy shuttles that angled to land on the platforms positioned itself to settle at the rear of the landing party. As the struts flexed, the hydraulics giving somewhat beneath the weight of the vessel on duracrete, the ramp began to lower from the belly. Four guardsmen wearing Siskeeni colors came down the ramp before splitting to either side of the ramp. Two men followed behind.

One was a gargantuan man in USC fatigues. Short cropped hair and non-distinct features would make the man unmemorable, except for his size. Beside him walked the figure of Derek Dib. Dressed in matte black suit, he walked with a slight limp down the ramp to the landing pad. The black hair had always contrasted sharply with the light tone of his skin, bit ever since Eshan he appeared even paler. Moving with a firm gait that erased the subtle limp, he headed to where the other CIS officials were gathering.

Some of the dissidents within the Confederacy had baulked at the offensive invasion into Mandalorian Space to free a planet that the CIS couldn't hold. Most of those cast accusing eyes upon Srina Talon, often called the Dread Queen but now also referred to as the White Witch, who the majority of the ill-content assumed had woven some sort of spell over the ViceLord Darth Metus. These people wanted to exist in their space and live in ignorance to the suffering of others.

It made Derek sick.

While he didn't always see eye to eye with the ViceLord or his direction, Derek understood the reasonings that prompted the Sith Lord. The peace was always shaky between the Confederacy and the Mandalorian Empire, even when an actual alliance was attempted. But time and actions had fractured the tentative attempts at peaceful coexistence which culminated in war crimes perpetrated by the Empire on a planet undeserving of such treatment.

And so the Drums of War were sounded.

The United Siskeen Coalition answered the call to assist those who could not help themselves. The price of freedom and coexistence was not always smooth, often being bought with the lives of those who chose to stand against tyranny. Lives like Lucian and Richard. And almost his own life. And though the price was high, nearly the ultimate price for himself as well, it was a cost that the Siskeeni would tender payment for again.

As he entered the small throng of Confederates waiting to move forward to the greater meeting of minds, Derek allowed a small smile to tweak his face. Today the cost would be in finances and monetary value, not lives. A welcome change.

Eyes caught the form of Karlie Lynn Destat, a young woman he had encountered on several outings. She was the daughter of the Viceroy of Castgne and oft found working as extension for her people. A subtle smile of acknowledgement was offered. Another individual that caught his attention was Cay-Yo who moved freely among the welcoming party. He had yet.to meet the being though he too had been on Eshan according to reports.

Once more his crimson hued eyes passed over the Confederate delegation to finally light upon the ViceLord himself standing near Valencia Hadley and making polite small talk with the representative of Castagne. Easing to a stop he placed his hands at the small of his back to wait while giving the other man a small nod.

Ingrid gave her orders from the Vicelord. This time this was a new task, not the ordinary. But, maybe even she doesn’t know what the ordinary to herself. Every time she did different tasks, different ways. But this time the biggest different were she’ll not working alone. This is her first time when she needs to work others. After she gets her orders she travel to Tynna. She didn’t know much yet, just the bases. Place, time, faces, names and ranks, and she needs to follow the Handler’s orders. Just she thought before, that was not much, but she works before with lesser information. Tyanna, she never was here before. Basically – it means every time – she love to explore the planets where her job calls to her. This time the orders are perfectly covered this. An organized tour. Interested choice, but it will serve hers purpose.

After she arrived the planet she left behind her ship on the spaceport. Under the travel she chooses her new disguise. This time she wears a normal looks with her shadow matrix. Under her disguise she wears her armor. About the disguise’s cloth, she wears a normal outdoor clothes, so she looks like a tourist. As she read they are not the only ones who go to the tour, so this was the logical choice for an agent. So, after her arrival, she went to the meeting points. She knows that would be an important task. The CIS still don’t attack this planet, maybe this time the Confederacy will continue their border’s expansion and spread their influence without bloodshed. If she can do anything for this, she will be.

As usual she pay attention to everything. She observe her environment and the street man while she arrived the safe house. She watched the people, the buildings, nothing avoid her attention. The people saw the happy young girl, who just walking, but below her cover her body was ready to jump. Her eyes were flickered and searched the enemy or something suspicious thing. Nothing found, nothing happened, she arrived the meeting point. Before she went close, or inside the building, she wants to assess the district unnoticed. After she finds right everything went closer. Just as a tourist.

She looking for that individuals who she needed to meet here, and found one of them, if she not made a mistake, he was her actually boss. She conjure an embarrassed look to her face and move closer to him. She clears her throat and hope she will get the man’s attention. If this will be happened she shaid:

Umm, hello. I’ve got a little problem. Her voice was not confident. I was talked over one of my HoloNet friend we go here and we participate on the tour. But we never met and I was such a fool… I forget to ask his real name and I don’t know how he look is. I just know his HoloNet name, he is Handler, and my name is Witch. I really hope you are him, or I made an idiot from myself before a stranger…

Of course she knows he is him, but this personality who she taken by herself doesn’t. So she needs to act an idiot person this time.

The circumstances that led to Shakti finding herself roped into the Tynna mission were... Strange. She had met her new Handler while getting herself mixed up in CIS business on the Dance or Die set, which by her estimate was now just a vacant station floating through space, devoid of the alien life that had been overrunning it and killing its contestants. Adding to that was that Ephraim had done his best to crush her under a bank of lockers and then basically invaded her mind... This little side mission where she got to pretend to be a tourist on the planet and take a tour? This was a nice break from that madness.

She'd hitched a ride in with her new boss - and didn't bother to slow him down when he'd put the actual tour guide down and tossed them into the equivalent of a broom closet. She trailed along behind him, his broody, silent shadow as he led them to the agreed meeting spot where they were scheduled to meet the other two members of the little crack team he'd explained on the trip in. Based on what he'd explained about the other two, she trusted that it was going to be a long day...

She's done her best to wear something unassuming, but that still had the deep hood she favoured. Something about her tattoos and scars often made people a little uneasy when they first met her - and if she needed to pretend to be just another nameless face on this trip, then she needed to be as unassuming as possible. She'd taken up a post behind Ephraim, leaning casually against the wall of the building they'd been instructed to congregate in front of, and keeping an eye out as people shuffled past. From what she understood it wasn't exactly a risky mission, but if it was supposed to be a proving ground, she'd best no let it become risky for no good reason.

It was as she leaned and observed that she caught sight of the tidy looking young woman in military-style garb, looking lost but wandering closer. She felt tension set into her shoulders as Ingrid L'lerim made her way up to Ephraim - but she kept herself relaxed in appearance as her eyes fixed on the pair. She stood far enough back that she wasn't able to hear what was said between the two... Or at least perhaps someone else might not have been able to hear them.

Shakti narrowed her eyes a modicum and focused on the ever-present feeling of rushing power that existed in all things, like a current to the air that existed outside of that soft summer breeze. She used that energy to gather it like an invisible little bud inside of her ears, and when she did so, everything became louder. It took some practice over the years not to have it hurt her ears when she did this, but with all that trial and error she'd found a volume that was both useful and comfortable. She turned her attention back to the pair and listened, hearing the woman use her code name and doing her upmost not to grin as she did.

It was an interesting way to introduce herself to her new boss, but effective, she supposed.

Objective: Attend to Discussions as the Vicelord's Adviser

Tag: Darth Metus | Karlie Lynn Destat | Cay-Yo | Derek Dib

purple1.png

It had been a long time since Valencia had been home - or at least it felt that way. It helped to have the Vicelord here though, so that was something at least. The days spent on Eshan had felt like months, and the trip following it to Bestine had been intended to be relaxing and a distraction from the horrors of what she'd witnessed during the liberation, but she'd found it difficult not to have her mind linger on what she'd seen. She's been sleeping poorly and with the requirements of her job keeping her away from the sanctuary she'd created for herself back on Manda... She was going to have to ensure that she didn't lock herself away in her rooms for a time once she was back, for risk of not leaving them again.

What she'd seen had been nothing compared to what the man who sat across from her had managed to live through, however. When she'd witnessed what was left of that SD collide with Eshan, she knew now that it had landed squarely on his shoulders. What had killed thousands had left him injured, but still breathing. The man had lived through things that made Eshan look like a joke, she was sure... But with that being her first brush with devastation on that scale and first hand... She could probably be taking it better, was all she was thinking.

That thought had been what fueled her for the last 48 hours. She'd pulled up her bootstraps and thrown herself into her work - something that often helped to keep her mind of less pleasant things. Her instructions had been clear, and she'd used all the resources at her disposal to bring Darth Metus what he'd asked for. Everything from census information to the vilest of rumors she could dig up on those in power - all of it together had been a lot, but she'd trimmed it down into something that he could easily make reference to should it be required. He'd also requested that she attend the talks, and she'd readily agreed.

The Viceroy had adorned herself in a way that mirrored the Vicelord, something simple and professional, and in a colour that complemented his. It was something simple she could do to ensure that visually they presented a united front, especially if, as he said, she was going to be doing much of the talking. "As you say, Metus - I'll defer to you if anything of import comes about, of course." She offered him a kind but tired smile as they made their way to the exit bay. As her attention turned to the lowering ramp, that smile shifted into something a good deal more formal. Her back straightened and her chin tilted up a fraction as they descended, her composure professional and alert.

She kept a step behind the Vicelord as he made his introductions to those gathered and then turned to them as well, first greeting the representative from Siskeen before she turned to the other two she had not previously met. She gave a kind smile to Karlie Lynn Destat, offering her hand and introducing herself in the capacity she was currently acting in, as an adviser to the Vicelord. She then turned and spotted the Palatine who stood amongst them. Valencia couldn't help the genuine smile that broke across her lips as he spoke, her brows raising in unison and flashed her teeth at the giska knight.

"You must be Cay-Yo. I confess that I've heard a great deal about you. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." She hesitated then, as she wasn't sure exactly how best to greet him physically. Normally she would extend a hand to shake... But she worried that she'd need to bend down, and she wasn't interested in offending the little knight. So she just kept that smile in place and gave him a slight bow of her head. It would have to do.

Objective Meeting of the Minds

Ship in Orbit The Green Lady

Soft clicks sound as her elegant heels made contact with the ramp leading off of the Confederate shuttle that had brought her down fron the Green Lady. She'd chosen to wear a rather tasteful yet still accentuating dress with a matching cowl. Clutched ever so delicately in her left hand was a small designer purse... Which held a big surprise.

Kaden looked like a million bucks..... Unfortunately she felt like a nervous, Anxious wreck. She had grown up in Drex Manor on Seltos, a prim and proper upbringing, But had rebelled and joined the military as early as theyd let her in.... She was a combat medic, Her parents had been the diplomats..... But that was all over now. Their deaths forcing her into the role of Viceroy of Seltos instead.

Her features never gave way to her nervousness, Nor did her stride as she seemingly floated into the room and sat faintly into a chair to witness the meeting.

Tynna. It wasn’t a planet that Alden was particularly familiar with. Apparently, there was a stir here of late, though, and they apparently had begun to petition for a seat within the greater expanse of the Confederacy. Many did, but few with the wealth and luxury that Tynna’s citizens enjoyed. Hell, they didn’t even have to work here and that thought in its own right was more than enough to baffle him. Alden just couldn’t imagine what he’d do if he didn’t have to work. Most likely, go mad from boredom after he exhausted the majority of his bucket list.

Today, however, he found himself amid a gaggle of other Confederates, invited here to enjoy and structured tour of what the capital had to offer. In particular, these Tynna natives seemed to wave and boast of this former government complex that had since been turned into a museum to house various relics and artifacts. To collect and document their history. Interesting for a bit? Sure! But history wasn’t exactly one of Alden’s enduring fascinations.

He turned to the Chiss woman to his left and nudged her with an elbow. “What do you say we ditch the group? Go see what else the city has to offer?” His tone was hushed and whisper like, not wanting to catch the ear of their guide.

Looked up to the woman that had approached him, claiming that she had heard about him "Have you? I have fought on Copero and Eshan, so I suppose I'd be famous." the Patitite swelled up a bit putting his hands on his hips confidently "I am Big Cay-Yo, the most powerful Patitite, Knight of the Gizka, and owner of Big Meds. We sell bandages." he explained then pointed towards the array of strange golden medals on his right breast "I am important." Cay-Yo motioned to the woman politely with his left hand "And who are you?" he was not well acquainted with anyone except for Madalena, the Exarchs, and Cardinal.

"Welcome to our data processing center."

The air speeder deposited the corporate delegation off in what appeared to be some kind of metropolitan park. Skyscrapers dotted the horizon, rising above where the trees filled the immediate surrounds with a greenery that seemed deceptively warm against the chill in the air .

The elder Tynnan made a universal this way gesture, ushering the group down a broad avenue that fed directly into one such high rise.

"Everything here is state of the art. Spared no expense," the diminutive business man uttered, as the weasel-like alien seemed to puff up with pride. Indeed, as the group passed through the doorway, Sor-Jan was presented by an interior that was appointed in marble and electronics.

The skeptic from earlier turned, causing the tour group to stop there. A secretary approached with a tray in hand, prompting the Tynnans in Sor-Jan's group to begin pulling their comlinks from out of their pockets. "Of course, you'll need to leave any wireless devices here before we continue," the younger Tynnan stated, as he ushered the secretary over toward the boy.

Reaching over to his wrist, the young Anzat unclipped the HoloLink and set it on the tray, then paused another moment to check his pockets. Seemingly as an afterthought, the boy pulled his HoloBoy from out of his trousers. Holding it up, the tow-headed Jedi asked, "Oh, are there any Endormon gyms around here?"

The older Tynnan turned to look up at the boy. "What?"

The confusion on the weasel-like face was apparent. Stepping closer, the boy turned on the HoloBoy and pulled up the Endormon Go app. "I was hoping to have an opportunity to catch some Tynnan Endormon while I was here," Sor-Jan remarked excitedly, holding the HoloBoy out for the man to examine.

The Tynnan made a gruff sound, holding the HoloBoy out with some skepticism of his own. "I forget that you're a juvenile for your species," the man remarked, before passing the HoloBoy back to the youth. Then, turning toward the secretary, said dismissively, "Lyra... see what you can find for our guest."

Smiling innocuously, the youth gave a short bow to demonstrate his thanks, even as he palmed the HoloBoy.

As the tour group ventured further inside, the boy looked around even as he dropped the gaming device into the back pocket of his trousers as they moved through the lobby.

He wore the standard issue armor of a low ranking Knight, complete with his helmet and the agreed upon non-lethal armaments. Security detail for a pseudo-governmental business meeting was more high profile than most of the tasks he had been issued recently, but it was another reminder that his role had substantially shifted since coming to Confederate Space.

Alkor was less warrior and more protector, now. Instead of charging headlong into combat, he waited patiently for it to come to him. Instead of seeking to take life, he strove to preserve it. The complexities of it still baffled him. To still be a warrior, but to function in so different a role- it almost seemed unreal.

He watched the proceedings in relative silence as Darth Metus, Valencia Hadley, and their entourage mingled with the locals and discussed terms- or whatever it was Viceroyalty did. It was a different life from his, never one to take a position of power or leadership. Politics were more cutthroat than any battlefield.

It was likely Isley knew exactly who had been assigned to his guard detail, but Alkor's commands were absolute- speak only if spoken to, otherwise your existence should be ornamental. He preferred that, honestly. It made things less complicated.

But, it also allowed him to listen.

Iapo's first glimpse of Tynna was the elegant tarmac they landed on and the welcoming party. Her eyes snapped back to the silhouette she was following when he spoke up: Metus, Vicelord of the Confederacy and the subject of her bodyguarding mission. The man exchanged a few words with an advisor and walked down the exit ramp.

The young Dauntless soldier followed a step behind. Her hand discreetly checked that her two stun-guns and the taser stick were still clipped to her belt. She'd been informed that lethal weapons were prohibited and she fought to keep a sneer from her face. She already missed her trusted BlasTech DL-22 which was waiting for her back at headquarters. On the other hand, the stun guns felt flimsy. She understood the necessity of it of course. Even she grasped that murder and peaceful negotiations were hardly compatible.

Anyway, she was determined to complete her mission perfectly. Or as close as possible. Diplomacy was an obscure and vaguely terrifying concept to her and the elegantly clad diplomats assembled for the welcome, with their polished airs and practiced smiles were more intimidating to her than most soldiers could ever be.

It was easier to concentrate on the regular gait of the Vicelord. She'd gotten the distinct impression, when she volunteered for the missions, that the more senior Dauntless commandos were more than happy to leave that particular task to her. "You'll see", one had said, "the Vicelord isn't the easiest to guard".

Several people were slowly approaching and Iapo tracked them with her eyes. The gowns and fitted suits would offer fewer opportunities to hide weapons under but the longer tunics and robes weres suspicious to her. "Can't exactly disrobe them", she reminded herself and watched the woman the Vicelord addressed (@Karlie Lynn Destat), blonde and with an inquisitive gaze. She'd never seen her before but from the interaction, she guessed she was Confederacy. Others she'd already seen during various Confederacy events and meetings like @Valencia Hadley and @Derek Dib

Iapo looked around a bit more and marveled at the formal and elegant occasion. She thought back to what the Confederacy had brought her. A year ago she was stuck on a desolate little moon, a lonely nobody whose life mattered to no one. Now she was here, a respected soldier, trusted with an important task. She'd do her best, the young woman thought. She owed it to the Confederacy that had taken her in and indirectly to the Vicelord himself.

True, Karlie had been one of the first to arrive at the meeting...seemed somebody had to. Although that had not been her intention and rightly so it played out. She had not approached any of Tynna's Council members nor representatives to spark Castagne's interest in what this system could exchange between them. That would have placed Castagne as an Opportunistic society, which was far from what it were.

As such, she only exchanged pleasantries from some of the delegates which had greeted her upon arrival. There were certainly some standard file and data exchanges that had not been formerly given, not up to this time. They were clearly mostly updates and privi released data for just this meeting which had not been previously available in open files to all of the factions vying for Tenna's induction.

She had little if at all any interactions with other CIS reps that were present, her attention only briefly going over their features and putting to memory. Her datapad however were certainly not only registering them, but this meeting once it got underway. It were for prosperity purposes and nothing underhandedly. She was certain Tenna was recording everything on their behalf anyway.

"What the-..." Her datapad registered a Derek Dib....tracking the individual as he seemed to make his way in.

"Is that-"

Karlie had previously noticed the man walking in, but had failed to recognize him and went back to her data. But her datapad indicated it was the Viceroy Dib, only not quite the man she remembered on Alderaan following that system's attack from TSE.

Her eyes looked down at the tracking of the individual and then to the man himself. Her eyes took over going over his features. Yes...it were Derek Dib.

By God, what had the man been through?...

The data streamed in as to what.

Karlie took her eyes off him a moment and went over the profile.

Eshan... the Mandolorean offensive...of course.

Karlie had little direct privi of that recent altercation between the Mandos and the CIS...which by all accounts still fueled a civil war

on many fronts, including that of the CIS. Eshan were a conflict that should never have been and the man Derik seemed to be contesting to that fact.

Karlie had her own war during the Eshan crisis. An accused homicidal maniac, she had been a part of both the CIS's darker more persuasive regime via said interrogators that she personally were able to experience...and then made reluctant guest on Castle Morpheus, Nine Lives personal Capital ship.

Karlie had missed the Eshan war as she were fighting for her own life. Not only had she been accused of the Melida/Dan genocide, but of being responsible for Darth Metus son Riggs death on that system.

No, she missed the Eshan war...

But she recalled Derek on Alderaan where they were the only two CIS systems that had responded to the attack on that system. Only that she and Derek had come to their aid too late. The sith had done their worst and all that were left were a few detachments of sith forces..suicide terrorists cells left. Her disappointment in the CIS stonewalling and not going to the aid of Alderaan and of the Free World Coalition seemed to reflect of Derek's own eyes at the time.

She remembered the man's disappointment as well as hers showing up on Alderaan when they should have been there during the onslaught of sith in forces.

Alderaan and the collapse of their neighboring FWC faction was Karlie's pivotal point in questioning her Vicelord's (Metus) ability to lead the CIS.

Seemed the CIS's needs had taken a heavy toll on the Viceroy. She had met Derek when he seemed more virile.... more color on his distinct features-

"Shoot..." Her thoughts relayed what her eyes had failed to pick up in a flash. Derek had took notice of her staring over to his person.

Karlie couldn't now look away could she? then again, why would she? She had been meaning to get an opportune moment to speak with the Viceroy...about some matters...

She only lowered her stare to get her person up and to go over to where he had taken seat.

What better time to see how he fared was there? Maybe she'd get more insight as to his take on their (CIS) stance on aiding factions outside their space, especially non-sith factions. What would be Derek's take on their sith Vicelord not moving against TSE's encroachmentsjust outside CIS space. Was their Vicelord giving a free pass to TSE, because he too were sith?

Karlie knew she had to be careful of what she thought. But how else to know if others were questioning the same things?

So as other members of the CIS delegates and representatives filed in, one after another, neither Karlie's intuition, nor her datapad revealed to her that shadow which came to come over to her as she rose to her feet to go over and speak to Derek.

She were blind in the sense as to the presence that had come over to her.

Karlie had been purged of midicloreans to the point that she had no attachments or connection whatsoever. She were not like what she had been breed by her mother to be...a vessel for her own immortality. Her mother had produced daughters for Millenniums, versing them in the use of the force and when the time came, she would occupy her daughter's temple, her new younger body. Karlie had been the only daughter to realize her mother's sithy immortality and had put an end to that by severing her own connection to the force, by purging herself of midi. Karlie's father had supposedly disposed of her mother once that whore witch were discovered to be. But her ghost had haunted Karlie as she grew up. It were only when Karlie found the means to rid of midis that she rid of her mother's ghost.

So it would not be far fetched for her to dislike siths in all forms and genders... Metus being one, especially holding tittle to the CIS.

And it were without say that what she had gone through concerning the mystery surrounding Malida/Dan and so forth that she had wondered as to why the Vicelord had not jumped at the opportunity to sever her head the moment she were wrongly framed for the heinous crimes on Melida/Dan and the death of his son. And lucky for her he had patient enough to wait for a verdict, as she were found innocent and had indeed been framed.

If one were to guess as to why her throat suddenly got restricted, it were not by the sheer will of force. At least not intentionally by the Vicelord. no, Karlie chocked up upon turning to see whom it were that approached her without so much as her datapad announcing it.

"Gasp..."Her throat tightened up. It were her own doing mind you as Metus were the last man she had expected to meet here. She knew she'd have too, sooner or later, just that at this moment Karlie had not prepared.

"Uh-hum..." She only seemed to be able to manage at first.

It were the first time she had actually met the man in person and right now she cursed as to why she had put off going to the lady's room after all the water she'd been consuming while going over her files. Yes, at that moment, not only her throat seemed to have developed a lump she couldn't seem to swallow but if she didn't rush over to the refresher soon-

"Fine..." A tiny voice manged to ring through out of her.

"Ahem... Good..." She nodded able to get that lump down without so much as break into a cough.

" ...It was a smooth jump....sir...

Vicelord, sir..."

Slow strides carry Jayce across the plaza towards where the tour group stood patiently. However on this day Jayce could not even be recognized as Jayce.... Having used his grasp of the force to alter his appearance to the point where he looked like an overweight Chiss. His light blue skin contrasting against the white flowered shirt he wore and thin blue legs dropping from the bottom of a pair of khaki shorts only to land feet first into a pair of socks and sandals... He was by all intents and purposes, a typical tourist.

His flops made soft popping sounds against his feet as he strode up to the group and popped a piece of candy into his mouth.

Almost imediately he recognized their guide as Ephraim De'winter, A Pathfinder for the Knights Obsidian and a highly decorated soldier... And if his disguise worked properly then Ephraim wouldnt know that Jayce was Jayce until he was ready to reveal himself

Objective: Meeting of Minds (1)

It would seem his gaze had found Karlie Lynn Destat , having an interesting affect upon the woman. When she began to make her way in his direction he stood, waving off the mountainous guard from closing in as well. Brows furrowed slightly while he rotated his forearm, the datagram band around his wrist flashing. A series of overlapping holograms appeared between him and his forearm with both his arm and the design of the device deterring others not in his line of sight from seeing the information display. Rotating his wrist the display deactivated having confirmed his previous thoughts.

The Castagne System had not joined the offensive on Eshan with the Mandalorian Empire.

His brows unfurrowed, as he looked once more at the approaching delegate. Oft he wondered at the participation of Siskeen in the offensive, yet inevitably he returned to the reason that he and his people had partaken. The people of Eshan, the echani, had their government toppled, their culture forced to bend to a new, external regime, and their own capital city had been mercilessly orbital bombarded by the Mandalorian Empire to erase any vestiges of discontent regardless of innocent life that had perished in the name of collateral damage.

So when the call to arms came, the United Siskeen Coalition answered without question.

Yet even then they acted with reserve. Obeying the explicit commands of their Viceroy, the USC ships did not engage the enemy. Rather they acted as relief directly for the echani, providing escape from the war torn battlefield that completely encompassed the capital. Several vessels were destroyed in the process of their protection detail but the enemy forces deigned not to engage the USC fleet, much to Commander Smoke's chargin. Even so, Derek and his guard were directly involved due to the enemy action on the ground, to deadly result.

He blinked, returning to the moment.

Before he could interact with Ms. Destat another figure loomed. Darth Metus inquired to her smooth traveling, his presence coming as a surprise to the woman. To Derek it would be difficult for the Sith to ease upon him unawares due to the aura of the leader of the Confederacy. Crimson eyes met sulfuric ones as he gave a nearly imperceptible nod.

The two men were not friends. They had never met under circumstances not directly related to the Viceroyalty or the umbrella of the Confederacy. Their interactions were mainly relegated to the theatre of politics within the walls of the Citadel. And as such he held no personal opinion to the man. But as ViceLord, their relationship had ever been somewhat strained. More often then not it was Derek, as Viceroy of Siskeen, that frequently found himself at odds with the ViceLord and his agendas. The political sparring was a necessity, in Derek's opinion, as he sought to ensure the Confederacy remained one of Independent Systems rather then devolve into an empire.

However despite the frequent opposite footing the two men took, Derek offered the man respect on three fronts. First as the pioneer that forged the Confederacy from the ruins of another, uniting disparate forces into a single, united front. Secondly that the man was a master and warrior, two things that often drove one insane with power and drunk on bloodlust. That he had managed to keep somewhat rein on those impulses and cared for people was a testament of hidden character not seen reflected in public displays. And thirdly, that the man could count his brother as friend and ally. Not an easy feat in itself.
