Location: Outside - Enjoying the Evening Air

Conversation: Open to anyone!

It had been a year and three months, per Kashyyyk time.

A year and three months since Jake Daniels as stepped foot upon the soil of the Wookie home world. He had received the invitation. All Silvers did; even those that had fallen from grace (so to say), in the eyes of the force.  Jake still came.  Why though? The events of Chandrila not but a month prior that solidified his name as the Duke of Honoghor had added another stain to his presence on the force.  Did he seek redemption from the force? Not at all. The man could care less what the force thought, if it even thought at all. Was it redemptions? Perhaps. Was is to perhaps see her.  The woman he still loved. If he did what exactly would he do? What would he say? That... that was truly the question for Jake this evening. People knew Jake as the man with a shattered heart but he was also the destroyer of them as well.  They also knew him as a Shadow. He was around and not around. The fly on the wall. The observer of events but never a participant.

He'd come though. No this was not part of any plot or plan. He came out of respect for the Order that took him in. He came for her.

Upon a balcony he stood, wearing his best. His eyes gazed out over the Kashyyyk forests. They did remind him of home. The Noghri forests not being too disemelar to this planets.  Perhaps that is why Jake himself able to relax a bit more here than other places.  In a small way it felt like home.

The man didn't like coming to these events alone. He never did. Whether it had been his Master or other family member, Jake always had an escort.  The invitation was forwarded to Ereza, a distant relative, but silence was all he heard in response.  Perhaps these events were not in her taste.  Still though... he came even if albeit alone.

The sound of other arrivals perked his ears.  He could put voices to names and names to faces but others he knew nothing about.  Jedi and non-Jedi, it didn't matter. Whom Jake did know Jake viewed as a potential threat.  That was a habit she had been working with him on; a habit he failed to abandon when he abandoned her. His heart ached, even if his face didn't display it.

If Jake wasn't a creature of these sociable events, how long would he stay? Lord only knew. Would it be long enough to spark a potential friendship or ally? Would it be until the last guest arrived and confirmation of the one he hoped would come, didn't? In a galaxy of trillions, on a planet of millions, and an order of hundreds, Jake felt alone.

Those actions were completely his own fault it was a much needed fault however. Jake had to do what he did for the protection of those he loved; even if that meant he be cast from this same order should they discover what happened on Chandrila.

Yet the Hand of Silencia. The old Bane of the Jedi. The Master of Shadows without being a Shadow. He simply stood stoic. He was present without being present. He listened to what conversation he overheard, he took note of whom was arriving if names where spilled. His eyes now fixated on one spot of the forest.

Moments before arriving to the ball Jake had visited a small home among the trees.  Though the lights were out, it didn't mean she wasn't there.  He had raised a hand to knock upon a door and to call upon a woman he so desperately wanted to see and yet... the rare cowardice of a man whom didn't fear death but feared something far greater... left like a leaf upon a wind.

The pain he felt was punishment. One he would forever force himself to carry.

He'd left the small home after failing to call upon Valae Heavenshield.

Kat had a lot to deal with for this prom. There was the constant fussing of her sister who wanted her to wear something nice and appropriate, while Kat suggested a hoodie and some jeans. That suggestion got a whack on the head from her sister, it was surprising a hard hit, but then Rose was more in her element than ever. Initially Kat wasn't going to attend, just stay at home, on the sofa with some holovids with her niece. However, she was told by Rose that she had to go and meet people, have fun and even drink a few drinks. Kat rolled her eyes, she had been drinking ales and beers last two years, her father made sure that she could drink a variety of her choosing though she followed his tastes in drinks. Her mother was keeping herself still isolated, it was hard not to feel down about it.

Peeking into her mother's room, she smiled and walked in. "Hey mum, I'm off to the prom." Kat say in a quiet voice, hoping her mother would at least like how Kat looked. Her mother looked at Kat and gave a weak nod and smile before saying, "your father would have been proud to see you off to prom... Well if you had some oil or grease stains on the dress, he would have been really happy." Her mother joked, Kat smiled widely and hugged her mother. She was fortunate that her mother was in a good mood but it gave her that extra boost to go to this prom thing and not spend the evening hidden in a tree.

Kat's dress was something her sister brought her for just this occasion. It was made on Eshan, fitted Kat perfectly but she could help but blush as she walked towards the main hall. She had never really been one for fancy dresses, or just dresses full stop. So this was a big step for Kat, she had a glass of water and looked around, she was meeting Nesota here, another part that was making her nervous and her heart racing.

Mason watched silently as more and more guests entered the ballroom. Many of them were unfamiliar which the teen didn’t mind, after all it was a social gathering. Mason smiled, there was no anxiety to be felt, no jitters, after all he loved a good party. The teen suddenly broke into a grin as he finally saw a familiar face near the entrance. Jessica Med-Beq. He would slowly strut towards the master with his signature swagger. Adjusting his cuffs on the way. Upon reaching the master, Mason loud let out a small chuckle.

“Master Med-Beq, a pleasure to see you again. If I recall correctly we met on Eol Sha.” The teen said with a bright smile. He then got a good look at what the master was wearing. Simply stunning. He blew a bubble and let it pop.

“You’re dress is amazing! You have to tell me where you shop! I’ll be honest though. I am glad to see a familiar face.” Mason said as he scanned the room. He turned back to the master.

“How are you?”

Was he getting those looks?

The, Where have you been looks?

Not really, which was a good thing at this time. Kiran didn't have any sort of explanation other than he had been busy. Still a padawan, however the galaxy could do a lot with a Jedi Padawan. Not anything remotely decent, well half good half bad. The Padawan was having fun with his life experiences, not before a few years ago. Now he was able to mosey about as often as he could without anyone giving him a hard time for it. Kiran was dressed as well as he could be, he didn't fully own a complete wardrobe, this tuxedo was about as fancy as he was going to get.

Nothing like a good social event to reintegrate with the Silvers, his home. Kiran walked through the open hall and towards the bar as he was looking to get something to drink. Nothing of the type to get him inebriated but just enough to quench his thirst.

The night was still young though.

A slow breath escaped Tyra's lips as she walked into the hall. A prom was something new to her, not the concept, but the actually being at one. She had been to several festivals and parties back on Midvinter, but nothing this formal. Her light blue eyes took in the sights a everyone in it. There were several recognizable faces, but she couldn't put names to them.

The navy blue dress felt so much different than she was used to, and the heels she wore added more to her already tall stature. Tyra wasn't used to such formal attire. Most days found her covered in soot and sweet from the forge. She didn't find it unpleasant by any means, just different.

The tall Valkyri made her way across the hall. She smiled and greeted a few people she knew. Eventually, she made it over to where the refreshments were. This was a good place to start if she wanted to be sociable.

Sigyn was making her way inside the main hall of the prom. Was she nervous? Yes. Was she used to big social gatherings like this? No. They didn't have 'proms' on Midvinter. Not in the same sense, at least. And never With so many People. Well, at least she was dressed for the occasion.

As soon as she entered, she was overwhelmed by the crowd. She was not used to so many People gathered at once in one room like this. She stopped for a moment right inside the entrance, trying to calm her heart, which was now racing. It took a minute before she walked further in. And it didn't help that she had to leave her spear, which she brought With her everywhere, at home.

She saw a few People she knew, but didn't go to talk With any of them. They seemed to already be in conversation, or With many others, she didn't know. And that was the last thing she needed now.

Trying to ignore the feeling of being surrounded by People, Sigyn made her way to the Food tables. There, she tried out some of the snacks, and took a cup of punch. But she still felt the anxiety inside her. Where she was from, there never were big crowds like this, so it would certainly take time getting used to.

Not too long after she had arrived there, it got too much for her. She headed out on a balcony, needing some fresh air and to Clear her head. Once outside, Sigyn breathed, trying once more to calm her heart. Then, she saw someone else standing there, not too far from her. She went over to the man, whom she couldn't recall having met before.

"Hey, mind if I stay here for a moment?" she asked. "The crowd got too much for me." She leant Down on the railing, looking out on the forest of Kashyyyk. Though it was quite different, it reminded her of her home. It was very soothing to look out on it. But her gaze soon fell on the man standing NeXT to her. He seemed to have been thinking on something, something painfull. Or maybe it was just something she felt, which could very well come from herself missing Midvinter. "Did you come out here to be alone too?"

An invitation received. A response never sent.

Ereza arrived all the same.

Kashyyyk was inconveniently far away from Honoghr, it was true, but the opportunity to see more of the galaxy was a hard one to pass up. Dressed in a simple, classic white gown accented by a bar of gold, the Matriarch of Honoghr deigned to dress down for the occasion - so far as this could be considered dressing down for a monarch. Locks of wheaten gold lay in loose waves about her shoulders, not but a simple golden amulet bearing the Shamalain family crest sat in decoration.

At her heels, two Honoghran guards walked in savage silence, their leather armor quiet, their claws, fangs, and eyes ever sharp.

She mingled, she wandered, she followed the presence of the lone person in attendance of familiarity. When she found him he was on a balcony overlooking the jungles below. Saffron and sapphire followed his gaze for a moment, taking in the wonder of Kashyyyk's horizon, watching him from a distance. Before Ereza could join him another crossed her path - red of hair and lovely as a sunset. The girl strongly reminded her of Amorella.

Of the mette Masenre.

Ereza remained where she was, giving the two space and time to become acquainted, as propriety demanded, but her gaze of ice and fire never left them.

This was exactly the sort of thing that Eenia had sworn off of. Going on about her days? Fine and dandy, she could do that. Participating in a mission? So long as the medics cleared her for it, she was good to go. But social gatherings? Not a good idea. Not a good idea at all. There was really no reason for her to be here, not after everything that had happened. And yet, that had seemed to be exactly why those who actually cared for her had stepped in and talked her into coming to this thing. Mulling about day to day apparently wasn't healthy enough, and a night to just dress up and try to have a good time seemed to be key.

She may not have liked it, but Eenia complied. She had gotten a dress, had even gone through the painstakingly long process of getting her hair and makeup done. Normally, she would have just ditched out. Run off and hide away so that no one could get to her and drag her along. But she had someone she was supposed to show up for, and Nia had never been one of those sorts to let someone who was depending on her down.

So Nia had shown up, dressed up and ready to go. Nervous, for a plethora of reasons of course, but still present. She stood in the entrance hall, off to the side as to not be in anyone's way, pacing a small section of the floor. The blonde woman still wasn't convinced that this was the best of ideas, but she wasn't about to back out now. All she had to do was get through the night, and if she was lucky? Have a good time doing it.

What the devil was he doing?

Standing there in a suit that made him look like a bellhop wearing a clip-on bowtie instead of a former Sith Lord, Nick was sure that he was going to regret this. He didn't know how he had gotten roped into this. But Josh Dragonsflame and Jairdain had convinced him that it would be good for him. Good for him, how? He wasn't sure. It wasn't like he had formal education that had ended in his own actual prom. He knew nothing about proms or social engagements. He'd spent a lifetime killing people, not canoodling and looking chipper and dancing and drinking punch. But noooo, they insisted he had to socialize. And he was pretty sure that most of this was because, as it turned out, one of his brother's students had gotten stood up. The former Sith apparently (Did they just let any former Sith in now? He supposed he couldn't talk). He vaguely recalled his father. He was a dack too, if he remembered. One of his bigger regrets during his first run as a Sith when he actually had free will was helping that kark become Emperor. Sure, he'd only done it because some idiot on Dranok's side had shot at him while he was spectating, but...

Either way, the 25 year old had been convinced to take her to this prom and try and be social for once. That and they were just having her trade up one former Sith for another. Lovely. He liked how they could just take another former Sith off the shelf and have them replace the original date. That was cute. But considering he'd stabbed his brother and nearly doomed the entire planet with a virus, he supposed a social engagement was a small price to pay since he was still alive. It'd been a few years since, but he still couldn't forgive himself. He'd remained mostly solitary since, though the Silver Jedi had allowed him to stay long after his house arrest had come to a close. He supposed this couldn't be too bad, right?

Taking a deep breath, he walked to the entrance hall with his hands in his pockets. He didn't actually know what Eenia Vahn looked like. Brown hair, kind of on the young side... That didn't tell him anything.

As she ladled the pink-hued punch into her cup, she heard a very familiar voice behind her. She smiled, even before turning to see him. And as she did so, her brown eyes grew wide. Standing there, looking quite dashing, was Coren Starchaser in a suit. Celeste was surprised, but pleasantly so.

“I could say the same for you,” She said, smile widening. She reached out and gave the label of his jacket a small tug. “You know, I half expected you to turn up in armor of some sort,” Celeste said with a soft chuckle.

She gave him another look before giving a steady nod of approval.

Pouring a second cup of punch, she handed it over to Coren and moved to stand at his side. She glanced fondly out at the people arriving, it was a nice sight. She brought the cup up and had a small sip, it was fruity and had just the right amount of sweetness.

“Well, no one has spiked the punch yet.” She said, and then fixed Coren in a sidelong glance. “But, please don't get any ideas.” A slight grin.

Eenia had watched more than a few people come into the hall, but none of them had matched the description she had been given. Naturally she had seen a few faces she recognized pass through, and some that she didn’t. Though eventually her gaze caught sight of a figure that matched the description she had been given. Or at least, mostly so.

It had caused Nia to stop pacing at least, and for a moment she ran through a mental checklist to make sure she had the details right. Maybe. The blonde sighed and stepped forward regardless. “Nicholas?” she questioned, some part curious another part hopeful. While not as awkward as it could have been, it was still just enough to paint a soft hue of pink across Nia’s cheeks and the bridge of her nose.

He would be approached by a woman who called him by name. She was more blondeish than brown haired he noticed, but the fact she lacked someone, seemed to know his name and considering he was waiting for someone on the young side... Well, he supposed at least there was a good chance that she was the person that he was looking for. So he would nod his head when she would ask.

"Aye" He responded. "You're Eenia, I assume?" The redhead asked, tilting his head slightly. She had gotten quite dressed up for this. All dolled up and everything. He felt like he could have done his hair better or something, as he felt bad. He had figured this wouldn't be worth it to her, considering he was just kind of a replacement, but...

Nida had been to her fair share of formal events, as one does when your mother is a wealthy businesswoman. Typically her role had always been passive, so she’d stick around long enough to introduce herself when instructed, before being ferried away by her bored siblings to find something more interesting to do.

Clad in a flowy dress, the young Zeltron had her hands clasped around the arm of Ador Horn as they entered the hall. Ador served as a sort of big brother for her in the Silver Jedi, taking the anxious girl under his wing and helping to build her confidence as well as advance her training as a Jedi. More than once, she’d had the opportunity to do so by healing the young warrior from the occasional wound sustained in training.

“I didn’t think that Jedi held events like this.” She marveled at how dapper everyone in attendance was, and suddenly felt self conscious about her own dress. Was it appropriate enough for the occasion? Should she have gone with something flashier?

Such were the tribulations of a teenager.

The Jedi Master was not the most comfortable in an outfit like this, but he had to admit he could wear it pretty well. Granted, whenever you had something specially designed for yourself, it helped. The fits wouldn’t be odd or awkward, and well, if the designed had any taste, the colors and style would fit the person.

That was way too much about a suit, but it was similar to fatigues and armor plates. They were designed around a frame and that kept you safe. Here, he wasn’t sure anything could keep him safe. “I really thought about it, but y’know wanted to impress this healer woman.” Lips tugging up into a smirk as he laughed. She did look good, and well, he was going to… maybe flirt?

Was that legal now? Ye.

“Me, have ideas? I saw a ship landing from the Coalition, they’re the ones you need to worry about.” Pay no attention to the fact that the Alliance existed within the confines of the Alliance now. Please.

Jake felt something. A wisp across the back of his left hand as thought he had just felt the passing of fingertips.. Odd. His eyes held a moment of perplexity as he pondered the strange feeling.

His privacy wasn’t private for long. Jake heard her footsteps as she approached the balcony. Not knowing the unknown caused the Knights back to tighten. Years as serving as guard and protector had established in him a permanent fight-or-flight response. It was one of his many quirks that would be with him for the Remainder of his feeble life.

Jake gave a momentary side gaze to size up the new arrival. Female, obviously. Slim build but the way she carried herself meant she knew how to handle herself. An immediate threat? No. She could be a potential one however. His attention returned back towards the forest. His attentions returned towards his thoughts. Well, for only a brief moment.

Then another wisp across his cheek as though he had felt a tender touch.

The woman approached him and leaned against the railing. Jake took a step to the side so subtle that only those paying ever close attention would have seen the minuscule movement. His left hand entered his pocket while he right gripped the railing.

"Hey, mind if I stay here for a moment? The crowd got too much for me. Did you come out here to be alone too?" The woman said.

Jake was silent for as he ponder his responses. The darkness inside him wanted to scare her away. The light want at the very least to offer her gratitude but a polite excuse to leave. Perhaps a mixture of both? Or better yet... perhaps being as his Master was, eloquent and direct without coming off as a bastard. At the very least Jake would grant her a polite greeting.

“I did.” Jake said replying to her last question. “Unlike yourself however I can’t even be within a crowd. I prefer watching from the outskirts.” That was a lie. With the right person Jake could tolerate anything. “As for you staying for a moment, that is of your own accord. No one here asks anything of me. I am...”

The wisp hit a third time causing Jake to pause for a moment. This wisp presses against his abdomen.

“Jake Daniels.” Jake finished his own introduction.

He now understood this feeling; the wisps were the force itself alerting him. Signals of sorts either for her or signals from his own body to pay fracking attention to what he felt around him. He focused. He listened. Then he felt actually fel her. Her presence was weak to the force, obviously her dulling it but just strong enough to let a novice like Jake feel it. She had come and hidden behind his otherwise expressionless face was happiness.

“I apologize but something has come to my attention that I must attend to.” Jake took Sigyn Vanir hand into his own, “A pleasure to meet you. I hope you find a way to manage the crowds.”

No more than had Jake let go of her hand after their shake and made his turn towards the entrance way to begin his search then had that search come to a surprising end. Watching, ever quietly, was Ereza. She held an expression that could not be read. Was she angry? Was she just peeved? Or was she irritated? Like with his Master, Jake would probably never truly know unless told. All he knew was that she had been watching him.

Formalities took over instantly. He approached with purpose and poise. He acknowledged her two guards, Noghri with a polite nod. Jake has lived and trained with the Noghri. He held them with utmost respect but the person that garnered the most was the elegant woman before him. Jake had never seen Ereza in such... attire. She was beautiful. Simply beautiful.

“Mal’Ary’Ush.” Jake said.

Jake took her right delicate hand into his own. Unlike the other woman, which had been but a simple shake, Jake placed a kiss upon Erezas knuckles. “I am honored by your presence. I did not expect your company this evening." Concern finally broke through the facade that was Jakes attempt to show no emotion, “Is everything ok?”

As Jake had learned some time ago, Ereza wasn't much for the strange traditions of cordiality humans so often practiced. The idea of touching her without permission in any manner had been something to contend with from the very start. The woman's posture stiffened as he took her hand, placing his warm kiss upon her cold knuckles. She remained unsmiling, sharp gaze honed in on Jake.

"I am at fault," a response after a beat of silence, she gently withdrew her hand once it seemed he was finished with it, "I did not respond and I should have. Propriety for this ... " a gesture was given to the hall, people, and celebrations around them, "sort of event escapes me. A Prom," her gaze wandered back to Sigyn Vanir still out on the balcony, "is meant for the youth, is it not?"

Ura began to get just a bit uncomfortable. So far, she didn't really recognize anyone too well. At least not well enough to feel comfortable striking up a conversation. This was weird, and she sorta wished she had brought Ger'Off now, but had stolen, and eaten, someone's boot recently so he probably wouldn't be welcome. Plus someone had said it wasn't really an event pets could go to. The Lervon just sorta slowly walked around until she accidentally bumped someone. She turned around to see Master Stardust Solus Skirae there. Crud! Please be ok with it. Please be ok with it.

The Gand hadn't really looked forwards to this event. But didn't want to be some anti-social schmuck who would pass up a good thing. However, despite promising himself that he'd go the prom would sneak up on him. Realizing that he had to go, and that he never managed to set up a date, the lonesome Gand went along to the wookie home world.

The sentinel, wore a classic looking tux he manged to have tailored for his bug like body. It wasn't all too often he imagined himself wearing this, but he still wanted to look nice. He wore his breath mask over his head despite never needing it as he didn't breath. Yet for many it was a far more common, and seemingly comfortable sight to see a Gand with their mask on.

As far as behavior went, the Gand figured he'd fit right in. Most Gands where a humble and polite people so he wasn't worried about coming off as rude or hostile based on his cultural background. With his hands firmly behind his back, Nolo would hang around for a bit to the side, wondering if there were any other poor suckers that were in the same boat as him. Perhaps one that he could possibly dance with.

Ludicrous.

Absolutely. Positively. Without a shadow of a doubt. Ludicrous.

Back into the belly of the beast she went.

The invitation had been... unexpected to say the least. A Jedi social event. She had gone back and forth on the idea of attendance for some time until finally settling on "what's the worst that could happen?" They were technically no longer hostile. The depth of Sam's true identity was unknown and experience told her that the Silver Jedi would not murder her on sight. At the very least she now had a few faces who would protect her.

But none of that stopped it feeling wrong. The Jedi were a people she had been conditioned to loathe and here she was to dance and be merry with them? The galaxy was a most strange place.

I hold no obligation to be hostile, she had to remind herself.

It would be good to go. At the very least generate some goodwill with the person who had invited her.

Samka walked through the entrance hall, her invitation being enough to get her thus far. She let a carefree smile hang on her face as she went. She had to look as though she belonged.

And for the most part she did.

Any and all trace of the Dark Side had been scrubbed, physically and in her aura. Her skin pale but natural, eyes their natural brown and Force signature still detectable but neutral, certainly nothing exceptional at a Jedi event. She wore a dark cocktail dress with a floral pattern and heels. Something a little more grown up than she was used to but today was all about new things it seemed. Meanwhile her hair glistened in the light, subtle bits of glitter twinkling once in a while.

Once she was in the main hall, she paused. Folding her arms and biting her lip, she scanned the crowd for a familiar face. Any familiar face really. It didn't take long before she spotted them. The girl who had invited her here in the first place. Charlie Nooran was being approached by someone else. Sam's initial thought was to not interrupt but the alternative was to stand at the sidelines awkwardly.

She approached from behind and cleared her throat loudly. She stood in a position familiar to them both by now. Hands on hips, exasperated scowl on her face. "I don't mean to interrupt, Charlie, but when you invite someone to an event, it is customary to accompany them. I had to make my own way here." She paused, taking in the younger girl's appearance. "But you look very nice tonight."
