The Imperial Federation Part I: The Call

Harris hadn't been back long, his journeys to beta galaxy were an experience he'd never forget, and upon his arrival, he was greeted by a provisional government. It didn't take long for things to get back on track though, his people had missed him, but, if the Deep Ones had taught him anything, it's that there was strength in numbers. Among his experiences in the beta galaxy, the most interesting was that of a unifying force. A faction, with a name he couldn't even begin to pronounce, had somehow banded all the races of the beta galaxy in harmony. How? Autonomy, that was the answer. Let the people do as they please, and should an outside force threaten it, they will gladly fight for their homes. Not only did the idea fascinate Harris, but he wanted to replicate it.

So, here he is. Harris has recently returned from the beta galaxy, returning with a bang, and he now sits in his dimly lit office, sending out a message to those who will listen. As the message sent, Harris reclined lightly, it had been a long couple of months and h-

"Mr. Premier,"  A shorter fit woman, wearing a blazer and dress pants bowed lightly before entering with a black box. She unclipped it as she lay it on his desk. "Welcome back sir, the council is expecting an address, and the Emperor himself is expecting a meeting and wellness check."

Damn politics, Harris thought. When he took on the office of Premier, he wanted to lead by example, but it was hard to always be a strong leader, a role model, leader of the military, and a public figure. He wasn't one for complaining, but he would have appreciated a break upon returning, "Thanks, Katherine." He motioned his hand down, "Take a seat. Tell me what's happened since I've been gone."

The woman smiled and sat down, she looked across at Harris as he scanned through the papers in the box, before gently shutting it and pulling it off to the side. "Well, The Core Imperial Confederacy has grown exponentially. And multiple other empires have changed drastically, but since your disappearance, things here have been going well."

"Glad to hear it Kat." Harris paused and glanced down before looking back up, "I need to ask you a favor, please."

"What is it, sir?" She adjusted in her seat, crossing her legs and locking her hands.

"I will wire you the funds, I need to make some points in my speech today. I am planning to build a grand federation, this will be a conglomeration of nations working together under a single banner. If I can get the votes, I would need you to organize the event."

Kat, probably shocked, agreed. The speech went magnificent, and over the course of a few months, Harris was able to gain the votes. The bill was signed into law by the Emperor, and now, a large diplomatic summit is underway, and all minor factions and individuals are welcome.

OOC: This event is open to all minor factions and individual characters, and the purpose is to solidify, in character, the formation of The Imperial Federation. This project is new, created by myself, and I hope it peaks some of your interest. Again, anyone is free to join in, and if you'd like additional information of the Imperial Federation, Direct message me on-site, or in the discord. My name is Harris there as well. Without further ado, have fun!

Grand Moff Hawke had been one of the first to approach the Premier's representatives about joining the fledgling Imperial Federation. After all, she needed allies if she were to secure her still unstable position as ruler of her own Imperial fiefdom on Jakku, and to commence the expansion of her territories. In orbit over Osseriton, her Imperial-II class Star Destroyer came out of hyperspace. By that time, Lyra had already made her way to the main hangar bay of the ship, boarding her personal Lambda-class Shuttle, joined by her large personal escort of Death Troopers.

The shuttle eventually took off, making it's way down to the planet below escorted by a wing of TIE Fighters. In flight, Lyra quietly went over her notes and various reports from her forces on Jakku about the subjugation of the local populace. The local scavengers were rather unruly, it seemed, and hesitent to submit to Imperial oversight. She'd deal with that problem in time, and hopefully with the help of the Federation if talks proceeded well. Her shuttle eventually made landfall in the hangar bay at the Imperial Palace. Descending down the boarding ramp once it'd lowered, she and her large escort were shown the way to the banquet hall. Upon arrival, Lyra gently clicked the heels of her boots together, before bowing. "Premier. It's a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance."

Curiosity was the correct word to describe the intention of moving into this part of the Galaxy. There wasn´t much here, at least not much known. Yet apparently a remnant of the Fel Empire kept itself alive and is now sending out a call to smaller realms, domains and people to allign to a common goal. A fascinating idea. Gathering diverse cultures, governments and species under one banner but promising to maintain their integrity and independence. A confederation to counter the principle of strength in unity.

Lord High Militant Gideon Nicolas d'Avout Vandeleur was watching the planet closing in on the screen in his chamber aboard the Bucentaure, flagship of the First Air Fleet, while dressing himself. The screen was designed was a mirror, with gilded wood and beautiful handcarcing as framing. His entire chambers were designed in a "victorian"-style of dark red-brown wood with golden details here and there and expensive carpets covering the ground. He was used to the luxuries and not fond of those humble, rich or noble people who preferred to stick to simplicity and pragmatism. Why not living the standard possible? Such a waste.

With a very formal knock he heard his Premier Aide-de-Camp calling for him, the high grown aristocrat ignored it and put on his left glove before picking up his baton and peaked cap before openening the door and moving out, not waiting for his adjutant to realise that he was lagging behind now.

"I expect we are not going to get shot down during our landing."

The question was directed to the swiftly catching up adjutant who was promptly responding. "We have announced our intention and identity and were allowed to proceed, sire. Your shuttle is waiting for you in Hangar One with the second section of the Garde assigned to escort you."

"Very well. You will be the only one of the staff I am taking with me. Make sure to be prepared." The latter sentence was unnecessary. Vandeleur had spotted the attaché case already, but never left anything to anyone else if it was about something important he was personally involved.

Several minutes later the shuttle left the ventral hangar of the large carrier to head down towards the surface, moving to the coordinates giving. The shuttle quickly descended through the atmosphere, heading for the impressive imperial palace. Not Eylau or Hardenzollern, but definitely worth to look at and to visit. As always the Lord High Militant wouldn´t sit during a planetary approach, he was standing behind the two pilots and watching the planetfall first hand and could therefore see the imperial palace in all its grace.

After landing in the palace own hangar, the ramp of the shuttle lowered and the group of people marched into the bay and were swiftly given a guide to show them to the banquet hall. Followed by his Aide-de-Camp and twelve of his guards in perfect cadence, the official of Volterravan entered the banquet hall looking around ...

Location: Unknown regions, arriving at Osseriton, Arrow Class Interceptor

A small, narrow vessel shot through space like a plasma bolt fired from a rifle. Even after having piloted the wonderful craft a few times by now, Credius was thouroughly impressed and pleased with the capacities of his Valkan Dagger II, thinking he might want to congratulate his most experienced engineers and designers, if they weren't yet again already at work with another of his projects. Ever since he took the reigns of the company back into his own hands, the tempo and competency of the workers had greatly improved in his own humble opinion, making it obvious that though his younger brother Willhuff was a skilled politician and bureaucrat, the man lacked the vision and charisma to do anything else than a simple desk job.

As soon as he entered the orbit of the planet that was to be his destination, Credius got hailed by what he could surmise to be the planet's defense forces. "Marquis Credius Arcosius Nargath of Eriadu, seeking permission to land. I am here on official business regarding the upcoming conference and state address of his excellence Premier William Harris I," The passing seconds seemed to be slow and rather encumbering within the tight confines of the Valkan dagger, yet when the response finally came through that he was clear to land at the imperial hangars. The marquis did not even question why he'd be allowed to use the imperial hangars, the conference was after all at the imperial palace and he wasn't just some senator from coruscant or military officer of repute, he was the leading man of a rapidly expanding business which already owned one of the most ancient and well known shipyards in the galaxy, he was a Quaestor Magister to the Corporate Protectorate, which as a faction had recently acquired a stability of being recognized as a major player within the otherwise turbulently chaotic core. To top it all off, he was after all a native of a neutral system, ruled by a minor faction which prided itself on selfsufficiency and political neutrality and it was exactly because of the latter, that the Marquis had deigned it to be fruitful to visit the conference at Osseriton. "Understood, making preperations to land."

As soon as the gliders were deployed, Credius had already unfastened the seatbelts which prevented him from swirling around within the cockpit of his bloody fast Valkan Dagger II, with the sound of a dull thudd and the hissing of his ship's engines being cut off from their power source, the marquis knew it was safe to open the cockpit, allowing himself to instantly jump out of the vessel much to the surprise of the personel rushing to do the standard maintanance any crew would do when having foreign ships enter their hangars.

With a solemn nod, the marquis made his way out of the hangar and into the imperial palace, whenever needed, showing his credentials and validating that he was who he claimed to be. His keen eye had granted him some sights while he was preparing to land earlier, with several warships of various systems and factions converging in the orbit of Osseriton, he already knew that there would be various more militant factions present at the conference, which was all the more reason to be present himself, rather than being represented by some weasly corporate bureaucrat. There was one thing he dreaded though: meeting the representative from that Imperial II star destroyer he had seen. That one was no doubt salvaged on Jakku and he knew that they were fearful of any tensions with the rapidly expanding Corporate Protectorate and the Core Imperial Confederacy looming so closely over them.

Alas, it seemed that luck was not on his side, for as he entered the banquet hall, he noticed that a bit in front of a rather impressive looking contingent of what the Marquis could only describe as men of military decorum, a woman with the easily recognisable uniform and plaque of a grand moff was already greeting the Premier who was responsible for this conference. Awaiting his own turn to greet the man himself, Credius straightened his cravat, took out a silk hankerchief out of his purple romex veston and polished his Zarullian crystal which hung within a promethium pendant upon his chest, supported by glistening electrum segmented chains around his neck. Biding his time carefully, he managed to snatch himself a beverage and decided it to be best to simply avoid too much attention for now, after all, surprises always worked best when they were, well... unexpected.

Richard stood aboard his flagship for the Second Fleet of the Imperium, the ship had just come out of hyperspace above Osseriton the home planet of the Fel Empire. Von had been here multiple times it was not new to him, he had arrived for the conference being held by Premier Harris and the leaders of a few other groups.

Admiral we have identified two large ships "

They are neutral don't worry about them, turn on all sensors and communication systems and listen for any outgoing signals, also prepare a shuttle I am going to the palace. "

Von made his way to the hangar where he is met with a squad of Imperial Storm troopers wearing Fel F-1 armor, they carried standard issue Dc-15 A2 blaster rifles. The shuttle left the hangar making it's way down to the planets surface accompanied by a squadron of Interceptors, after a few minuets they made their way to the Imperial Palace where the meeting is taking place. The shuttle landed on the landing platform he was just on time, the shuttle door opened as the ramp extended making contact with the ground.

Keep watch of the shuttle until I return and do not move it, we do not need another incident like last time "

Richard made his way into the palace, the banquet hall was his destination and it appeared some of the representatives had already arrived and were speaking with the Premier, Richard stood back watching as they spoke.

Walking into the room Levanthal waited, he waited for his turn to speak. "Hello, I am Levanthal, I am a strategist, my ships are not here right now, but I have arrived on my own ship. I would like to join your faction with my fleet. I am a very good strategist, and could be very useful." He decided to wait for a response, honestly he didn't expect much, he had a trench coat on and wore clothes like an outlaw.

Osseriton, Adenn had been there often enough for various reasons. This time he was here to help the Fel's set up some more contacts, which meant he could possibly use said contacts for the Mando'ade. That of course wouldn't be said, officially he was here as a Lord Admiral, a Mando Lord Admiral sure, but one for the Fel Imperium. Adenn wasn't in system yet, as he had been off dealing with pirates nearby, but he was currently on the way to Osseriton with his personal fleet, the Mors Classemque. He was a firm believer in overwhelming force, and this would simply prove that once more.

Moments later, space in a certain part of the system near Osseriton rippled before breaking. In perfect formation a fleet of 12 ships emerged from hyperspace. Shields and weapons were powered down, but they were arranged in shock and awe formation, centered on the heavy cruiser, with the rest of the fleet arranged in the best shielding formation. Adenn stood aboard the main ship, the heavy cruiser, aboard the bridge and looked out at Osseriton and the ships in orbit. To be honest, he wasn't at all impressed. He'd seen so many ships and so many fleets far greater than these, that a few measly ships didn't impress him in the slightest. There was on exception to that, the ship from the Fel Empire itself, from the 2nd Fleet. Of course he wouldn't admit that openly, but he did enjoy its destructive powers. That didn't matter though, no doubt this was all they could do. Smaller groups usually couldn't afford much in the way of ships.

Still sneering slightly behind his helmet, Adenn turned and made his way down towards the main hanger where his personal transport was located. His fleet neared Osseriton while remaining in formation, this was a show of force of a fleet returning home, and they wouldn't be stopped by normal procedures. Said procedures were of course thrown out the window once it was made clear who was coming, Battlemaster Lord Admiral Adenn Kyramud, along with a few other titles that he didn't bother remembering usually. Near the transport waited Adenn's second in command, Gunner, along with 8 Beskad Elite.

Greetings were exchanged amongst the warriors as the heavy cruiser neared the drop point. When the time came, a light changed and Adenn led the jump out of the hanger. Following in short succession, all 10 Mandos left the hanger and fell down towards the imperial palace atop their transports. Said transports were basilisk war droids, top of the line and ready for anything. Plummeting down towards the palace at terminal velocity, Adenn was lost in thought of who would be at this meeting. There were many options of course, but he didn't know any of them personally. Glancing up towards his fleet, Adenn smiled slightly as they dispersed slowly, heading towards the stations and whatnot to get more supplies and give the troops some free time. They'd still be ready for anything, just wouldn't look like it. Just the way Adenn liked it.

As they neared the landing pads, Adenn and his men slowed their basilisks down for a soft landing. Said landing ended with a crunch on each of their ends as the heavy droids landed. Hopping off his droid, Adenn patted the war droid on its head before giving it free reign to explore once more. His men did the same and soon all the war droids were heading off to enjoy themselves, they were half sentient after all. Of course they'd stay close to the palace in case things went south, but Adenn didn't think things would. Thus, with confidence in his stride, bitterness, anger, and pride in his heart, Adenn marched towards the palace.

It took only a few minutes before he was nearing the officer banquet hall doors, doors specifically made for the use of Fel Officers. The doors were opened for Adenn and his entourage and they marched in, no doubt they were the most heavily armored individuals present, most likely the most heavily armed as well. With a flick of his head, the 8 Beskad Elite marched along the walls and took up their overwatch positions. They'd be providing security for this gathering, along with whatever Harris had come up with. Adenn and Gunner meanwhile slowed their march and took note of all individuals present. Adenn nodded towards those he recognized, mainly Richard and the Premier, along with a few dignitaries here and there. Other than that, most of these people were new faces.

There were 2 main individuals that caught Adenn's eye, a noble looking near human, and another impressive looking elderly gentleman. Quirking his eyebrow slightly, Adenn decided for a moment who to approach first. After a few moments of thinking, he decided on the elderly gentleman, the near human looked like he'd be preoccupied by the Premier soon. His mind made up, Adenn walked towards the elderly gentleman, people naturally backing away from him slightly, allowing him quicker and faster travel. Adenn was at his side the entire time, the same as Adenn. Soon enough Adenn was next to the elderly gentleman. He looked over the guards for a second before turning to the gentleman, they were a low threat to him as he was, along with his vode.

"Welcome to Osseriton vhipir(mister)." Looking down slightly at the man, who was only a scant few inches shorter than he, Adenn quirked an eyebrow behind his impassive helmet. "Might I ask who you are?" Adenn merely wished to learn more about this person and see what they were doing here, perhaps he'd talk with the man for awhile, perhaps he'd go somewhere else and speak with someone else. For now though, he'd try this man.

Without doubt that palace was built for the purpose of serving as residence and to impress visitors, emmissaries and adversaries. It did its effect. The banquett hall was a beautiful place, the used and common ground for a man like the Prince-Elector. Looking around he didn´t know any of the people, of course he had seen the Premier on the HoloNet who was right now talking to some other individuals, but otherwise, most people looked like they would belong to the military or at least were officials.

Standing some paces into the room, not blocking the doorway nor standing in the middle of the room to observe the situation. His guards were posted at the wall and to remain there for the duration of the stay. The door opened again and Vandeleur turned his gaze to inspect those entering. It was a while since I last saw these kind of people. Mandalorians. His opinion was rather neutral about them. The aristocrat followed their movements with his eyes, mustering how they moved to key points in the room, except for their leader who was directly approaching Gideon.

The approach was blunt and without grace, he noticed the calculating look right away and could evaluate the calibre of this warrior right away. It was not like a sealed book of riddles, he had seen many of these in his life, saw them rise, shine and die.

"Thank you for your welcome, al'verde. I am Lord High Militant Vandeleur from Volterravan. Who am I having the honour of talking to?"

His basic accent was difficult to determine, apparently used to speak a more formal language, more like High Galactic, but the single word in Mando'a was pronounced fluently. Even while the warrior was taller than him, the expression of face and body was clearly showing that not the Mandalorian was looking down on someone. The noble had given his peaked cap and baton to his Aide-de-Camp and had his white gloved hands folded on the back of his field grey uniform.

Adenn noted how the elderly gentleman's guards positioned themselves and chuckled quietly to himself. It was good that they sought to protect their charge, though Adenn silently wondered how long they'd survive against his beskad elite. After a few moments of thinking, Adenn came to the conclusion of not all that long, but perhaps enough to get their charge away. Not that it'd be put to the test today, but it was always fun to imagine such things.

Taking note of the man who he was approaching, Adenn saw that he had been spotted and was interested to note the mans reaction. What happened was the thing Adenn expected the least, the man gave him a Mando'a honorific. Sure he got it wrong as Adenn wasn't a mere al'verde(commander), he was the overall alor(leader of the clan) clan leader. Chuckling somewhat, Adenn nodded along with what the now named 'Lord High Militant Vandeleur' introduced himself.

"Of course Lord High Militant Vandeleur from Volterravan, it's only proper to introduce guests." Chuckling again, Adenn had made sure to pronounce the title the same way that he had, down to a T. "Me? I'm Alor Adenn Kyramud, Lord Admiral of the Fel Navy, part of the imperial council and on the premier's cabinet, along with half a dozen other things I don't bother to remember."

Chuckling again lightheartedly, Adenn turned slightly to observe the crowd while also paying attention to vandeleur. "I assume then you're here to negotiate and/or do something regarding diplomacy. As you can see, Harris is otherwise preoccupied currently, but I'm sure I can help in some way." Adenn smirked darkly under his helmet at the last statement, thinking on a similar scenario where things had gone south and he'd helped relieve the other party of their lives. That wasn't here nor there though, no, today was thankfully different. Observing Vandeleur, Adenn waited for a response from the man.

William Harris, Premier for the Fels,

The midday sun gleamed through the massive glass windows of the banquet hall. Harris squinted as he looked up and wiped his brow, the room wasn't hot, but the sun was getting him warm, and it didn't help that his black tunic was retaining any heat he absorbed. Harris adjusted his black peaked cap, shifting it forwards before looking to the guard who had just approached and saluted.

Harris reached out his hand before starting, "At ease." he took the man's hand and shook it firmly, "Any trouble since the guests started trickling in?" He paused and turned his head

lightly, with a smirk, he started, "More than the occasional drunk diplomat I mean?"

The guard smirked, "Nothing we can't handle sir. How are you fairing?"

"Not too bad, since the Emperor and council approved my plan, it's been mostly scheming. You know how it is." he let out a light blow, almost an effortless attempt at a laugh before continuing, "You know, back when I was Supreme Commander of the military it was much simpler, now I have to deal with the people and all these damn politics." He shook his head, "You much into politics, son?"

The guard just grinned and shook his head, "No, not really. I never got into them, you are always wrong to someone."

"You got a point there. Now, off to politicking. If there are any security threats, you know what to do." Harris patted the back of the man's blue tunic as he walked past and towards a thin

man in a trench coat. As he approached, an aid quickly approached and whispered something into his ear. Harris nodded and turned to the man, who had just begun to speak.

"Hello, I am Levanthal, I am a strategist, my ships are not here right now, but I have arrived on my own ship. I would like to join your faction with my fleet. I am a very good strategist,

and could be very useful."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Premier Harris, Premier of the Fel Imperium, and organizer of this event. Meet up with me after the speech and we'll discuss you signing the Osseriton Pact, if you are a good strategist you say you are, then you may have a place in the Federation."

Harris smiled as he turned away, promising to continue the discussion at a later time. As he began to walk, he saw a man hanging off to the side, waiting to make his acquaintance. Harris stepped towards him and,

"Premier. It's a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance."

Will stopped and smiled, lightly nodding. "And your's as well. You know who I am, but may I have the pleasure of learning who you are?"

Noticing that the two groups consisting out of numerous more...gruff and soldier-like types of people had managed to get in eachother's path towards the Premier of the Osseriton pact, Credius sneakily made his way through a group of laughing and cajoling, pompous nobility, probably hailing from the very planet itself. Alas, in his sneaky pace, the Marquis managed to sadly bump into one of them, resulting in a spillage of wine upon embroidered silk. "Watch where you are going, you lowborn..." The man with the smudge on his robes looked at the tall Credius, his stern eyes piercing into those of the silenced noble. There was no doubt that the Marquis looked wealthy just with his exquisite clothing and even though he did not wear any military dress like some of the attending guests, his attire still showed an authority and rank only those of higher birth could have. "...my apologies, I must be the one to blame for this happenstance."

Letting out a swift scoff, Credius continued on his way towards the Premier, standing still a few feet away from the man with his lips curling into a faint smile. "Your Excellency, how fortuitous to finally meet you," Giving a courteous nod to the man, The marquis practically ignored anyone who he had interrupted and anyone who would dare to interrupt him now. "May I introduce myself? I am Marquis Credius Arcossius Nargath of the House Nargath of Eriadu, owner of Nargath Holdings and the Eriadu Manufacturing Shipyards. Should you fancy a meeting later on, perhaps?"
