The Silver Jedi Order

Dominion of Danuta

Danuta Canon Link: Click here.

Description:

Situated to the east of the Order of the Silver Jedi’s territory, Danuta is a world formerly under the control of the Hutts and the Galactic Empire. A barren world found in the colavass system, the Capital City is Trid. It contains a spaceport, a B'omarr Order Temple, a school, a fusion plant, and various homes and small businesses, such as the former Brodsport Mining Corporation and the Blue Moon cantina.

Locations of interest:

Objective One: Brodsport is fair game.

Brodsport Mining Corporation has recently been victim to several raids whilst trying to export minerals across the Mara Corridor Trade Route. Whilst these initial raids were fended off, an emergency alert has gone out claiming that their primary facility has come under assault by Mandalorian’s bearing no house/clan sigil. In the midst of political turmoil with the United Clans, the Order of the Silver Jedi has made the recovery and rescue of mining personnel top priority.

  • Apprehend the suspected raiders responsible for trying to take control of the mining facility.

  • Rescue any and all captured mining personnel.

  • Ascertain the status of the facility and report back to the Capital City of Trid once the situation has been resolved.

Objective Two: Brains for B’omarr.

The B’omarr Order is a religious group who seek enlightenment through ridding themselves of their physical constraints and connections. When a Monk of the B’omarr Order ascends to their highest level of hierarchy in the Order, they undergo a special surgery procedure in order to remove their brains from their bodies and to be placed in nutrient-filled jar, so that they might wonder the greater mysteries of life.

In the recent weeks, there have been a number of missing persons reports filed with the authorities of Trid. In each one of these cases, the missing have been in some way connected to the B’omarr Order, yet when investigates have been road blocked due to various miscellaneous circumstances. Seeking the help of the Order of the Silver Jedi, it has been expressed that high profile members within both the Authorities and government are either associated with the Religious Cult, or are members themselves.

The Silver Jedi are to investigate any and all connections between these missing persons and the B’omarr Order, ascertain evidence connecting any of Danuta’s government leadership to the religious organization, and determine the status of the suspected abductees.

  • Investigate the B’omarr Order.

  • Investigate the Missing Persons Case and ascertain the whereabouts and status of those in question.

  • Determine any connection between the Government of Danuta, the local Authorities and the B’omarr Order.

Objective Three: Do the Danun.

Danuta’s mining business may be successful, but living conditions for people that stay in the vicinity to mine or for whatever reason prefer to live in the area are not so much. In a problem more prominent than ever before after the recent occupation of the Hutts, houses in what little there is of a residential district are in shambles. Quality of life is nowhere to be found here, but the Silver Jedi Order may be able to make life just a little easier for its residents, as a show of good faith while negotiations for defense agreements are still ongoing, as well as earning the trust of the people through goodwill. But every member of the Silver Jedi Order and her allies hold different talents that may provide differing uses in this endeavour. Play to your strengths and don’t hesitate to try something unique if you think it will help.

  • Help the residents of the mining town in building and repairing their homes. If your character is an experienced builder, they may even be interested in assisting in building more quality of life assets such as better recreation areas, bath and showering areas, eateries and other facilities that might make life in the town more tolerable.
  • Repairing and building homes are not the only things that can be done to improve quality of life for Danuta’s people. Characters with capabilities to terraform may wish to put it to use to create a better living environment, or those with links to trading avenues and companies looking to barter and trade may be able to bring these opportunities to Danuta to aid in boosting Danuta’s economy.Get creative and help to make Danuta a far better place when we leave than when we arrived!

Bring Your Own Objective:

  • Anything goes! Bring your own fun to the thread:)

Location: En-route to Danuta’s Surface.

Objective One: Brodsport is fair game.

Starship: "The Judiciary" Heavy Cruiser.

Present Company: Illyria Sol Rhia.

Others are welcome to use the Judiciary for entrance to the Dominion.

pmFSKjd.png

Danuta would be Illyria Sol Rhia’s first assignment offworld, and their first mission as Master and Padawan. The voyage there had proven to be a good introduction for the young woman as to the type of Starships and Naval Vessels that were within the Order’s military force, as well as the Judiciary being the very ship that Veiere himself Captained when not working within the Silver Rest. Unfortunately, his days of late were most often spent within the Temple for necessity and priority of the Order’s students and structured living. A price paid for being a member of the Assembly, he supposed.

Nonetheless, the voyage had done him some good to get away from Kashyyyk and spread the Judiciaries wings, so to speak. The Senior Officers were all glad to see their C.O back on the deck where as Commander Vikras Ansion had been acting captain for quite some time now. He was a brilliant naval officer, though Veiere had a much more casual touch to his work and relied less upon strict naval routines and more down to earth communication between peers.

Departing via the Upsilon-Class Command Shuttle, He, his Padawan and several others whom had chosen to come travel aboard the Judiciary were being shuttled down unto the world of Danuta whom had requested the aid of the Silver Jedi for not one but several urgent matters that were presently rerouting the government's ability to adequately provide and safekeep the people. Their task was but one of these matters, a mining facility that had been overrun by suspected and rogue Mandalorians resorting to the likes of piracy and petty criminal activity. This affecting a sizeable portion of the sectors financial and commercial trade, typically meant a fire had been lit under the backsides of officials for the clear loss of profit the occupation of the facility was harboring with every passing day.

According to the word they’d been given, there was also a suspected cult of sorts that had been dabbling in the abduction of civilian persons. As of yet the local authorities couldn’t prove anything, yet in the communications sent forth to the Order of the Silver Jedi, the officer had been loose tongued enough to suggest suspicion of in-house corruption. From there, it wasn’t difficult to imagine the mess of a situation the Silver Jedi would be stepping into.

Beyond the team that had arrived via the Judiciary, the Silver Assembly had approved the cooperation of the Antarian Rangers and any other Silver Jedi whom were wishing to participate. The Operation ahead of them considerable, the more people they had on the ground, would hopefully play out in the world’s favor to sustain control. As well as the Order’s influence to become a pivotal factor in maintaining that control to a higher standard than had been allowed thus far.

Tulan_sig.jpg

Objective Two: Find Missing People

Trid.

Trid sucked, in a lot of ways.

To look at.

To smell.

To step around in.

But more importantly, and perhaps most importantly- the people sucked. Granted- the people there had been handed one card or another, owned by this, or that, or these people, so on and so forth. But for the time being, the fact that it was mostly lawless, and the law that was there, the supposed authorities, were either incompetent, corrupt, or complacent. But Tulan Kor had taken it upon himself, and a few others, to target the missing person. It was a natural course of action for him. He was an expert in reconnaissance and tracking, two skillsets that would come in handy here.

But, he had to be honest-

Tying up people in the middle of the night in their homes by their feet after drugging them wasn't usually his MO.

Usually.

The man in question was an accountant for the local municipal department.

But his numbers weren't adding up.

His salary didn't afford the speeder outside, not by a longshot.

And he had no reported secondary income or trust funds, that Tulan could dig up. So, naturally- Tulan went with his guts. Stun-gunning his plethora of guards that furthered his suspicion of wrong-doing, Tulan had the poor bastard hanging by one of the rafters in his bedroom, and he was finally coming to. Tulan crouched to be eye level with the man, night vision pulled up over his head.

"You see my face?"

He reached out and grabbed a handful of the man's hair and made him look at him.

"You son of a bitch do you know who I am-"

Tulan didn't like his response, so he made it a point to put the suppressor of his handgun into the man's mouth. Only a few people used slugthrowers with suppressors. And not a lot of them were particularly nice people. He got the point and stopped talking.

"You and I are gonna have a nice little chat about where all this extra money is coming from."

And hopefully- anything else that the man was hiding. He smiled, a purely malicious, vile grin. Tulan was normally an unsettling person, the short man with not only a temper but the skills to act on it. Short, lethal. Brutal. The man tied up was beginning to understand. But he didn't know the depths of what Tulan would do to find these people.

For those I love, I will do great and terrible things-

A tattoo he once saw. It resonated. Tulan didn't care about the man who took the money. In truth, if he had more time to prepare and less involvement from the Silvers, he'd probably put a bullet in each eye socket and cut out his tongue, to make whoever he was working for, with, or hiding or what have you- just worry only a little bit. But, alas, Silvers would soon be all over the planet, and he couldn't operate like how the Sith let him.

No, he could play this a bit hard- after all, people's lives and brains were on the line, but he doubted the Silvers would approve of the whole tongue-cutting thing. Well, if they found out. He debated the merits, and kept the pistol in the man's line of sight. He struggled, but realized the futility of it all. He screamed for a while, for security and whatnot.

They weren't coming.

Tulan sat back, rolling his eyes as he went on the usual 'I know more people than you, x, y, z' tangent.

"You're gonna tell me everything that's shady going on around here...and then we'll see if you get cut down or-"

Think of a good one liner Tulan, come on come on-

"I'll cut you down to pieces."

Nailed it.

Objective One: Brodsport is fair game.

Allies: Himself

Necessary Allies:  Mandalorian Raiders

Enemies:  Silver Jedi

"This is not what we agreed, Montross." Zef coldly said as he glanced behind the Mandalorian to see mining personnel being rounded up and other Mandalorian raiders looting what they could see as valuable. "All you said was - smuggle valuable ore off planet. Nothing about it being ore from a raided mining facility right next to the Jedi's arse."

"You do your job, Halo or I will do it for you." Montross yanked Zef's shirt collar and brought his helmet an inch away from the smuggler's face. A moment later he dropped him back the old man back on his feet.

The scoundrel adjusted his shirt grumpily muttering something beneath his breath but there was no dread in his eyes when the raider had threatened him. He had seen far more than this raider had.

"I should kill you right here, right now just for becoming a dar'manda, Halo." Montross stated and shook his head disappointed. "You were once a warmaster of the Crusaders. Fought on Kashyyyk, fought on Taris, broke through the impenetrable Star's End prison, conquered numerous systems for the Crusaders and for what? To become a low life smuggler?"

"Didn't know a history lesson was part of the contract?" Zef replied with a heavy dose of snark in his tone. Montross reply came in the form of a pointed gun at the scoundrel's face.

"Work."

The smuggler stared back at the raider's buy'ce for a bit before sauntering off to the nearby control panel where he would start the process of loading up his ship with the stolen ore remotely. Montross had dug up memories Zef had shoved so far back in his mind that he felt irritated recalling. To Zef, Montross' description of the smuggler's 'adventures' as a Mandalorian seemed a bit exaggerated. He never saw himself as a conqueror or a war lord of some sort. Heck, he never even fully viewed himself as a Mandalorian. It just all happened and he was part of it. Maybe he had achieved some reputable feats among the Mandalorians over the years but Zef didn't really acknowledge them that highly himself or maybe he did not want to. Shame? Hardly. Regret? Maybe.

All he wanted to do right now was smuggle this ore off planet, fence it and split the cash as agreed with these marauders.

Location: En-route to Danuta Temple

Objective Two: Brains for B'omarr

pmFSKjd.png

People removing their brains from their bodies as part of spiritual enlightenment did not appeal to Aurel in the slightest. She believed in the Force, which was why she fought for it. All parts of her were part of the Force, and if she ever became one with the Force her body would go with her. She didn't feel like any part of her was keeping her from any spiritual enlightenment.

These B'omarrians, however, were the next task for her. She had to try to wrap her mind around their beliefs for the sake of the investigation. She wasn't undercover with the target organization, this time, but it was just as important when investigating from the outside. She approached the Danuta temple dressed in plain clothes, pants, dress shirt, and jacket. She had a badge from a local private investigation firm on contract with the city government and a side arm. She kept her head up, eyes moving back and forth. She kept her badge on her belt, which meant it was largely obfuscated by the jacket, and her side arm was holstered in a shoulder rig under her left arm. There was nothing showing her as a Jedi in the slightest, which means she had an ace up her sleeve if anything went sideways.

She stepped into entryway of the temple and looked around. Before she approached any of the acolytes, she wanted to make sure she had the place cased out before she started asking any questions.

(OOC: Leaving the door open for anyone wanting to join this part of the investigation or mess with her.)

Objective 2: Brains for B'omarr

Allies: Aurel Kvold Tulan Kor

Suspicious: B'omarr

While, of course, some cultures attached intellectual auras (of variable degrees) to the practice of accounting, including but not limited to, external audit, she crossed her fingers that an external auditor wouldn't come across to B'omarr as a candidate for enlightenment. Nobody, not even B'omarr monks, would even suspect Jedi to even be able to perform accounting, much less external auditing, but a proper audit plan must be in place, especially with what ostensibly was a new client. If she could even call the B'omarr Order a client. Before she could even think of pulling accounts receivable/payable, auditing PP&E (or fixed assets as some called it), payroll or cash/investments, inventory, or the liabilities associated with any one of these accounts, she had to keep in mind the B'omarr Order was a nonprofit, so pledges must be ignored from any revenue calculations until actual cash has been collected. Somebody else was going to handle controls testing, and that person would usually ask acolytes about the tone at the top, the Order's governance, and perform controls testing once the planning stage ends, while Griet would usually be more comfortable around tests of AR/AP and PP&E details. The other Jedi will be surprised by how AR/AP, or fixed assets, can actually provide leads, clues even; slaves were saved on Kadavo because of an AP pull on Sluis Van, no other Jedi that regularly investigate that sort of stuff would even think of digging further into what an entity's balance sheet actually represent, she thought, before facing a receptionist acolyte.

"Greetings, acolyte. I represent an accounting firm engaging in assurance services and may the path to enlightenment lead to an unqualified audit opinion. Rest assured that undergoing this audit doesn't imply any wrongdoing on the Order's part"

"How could you not assume wrongdoing when the authorities accuse us of wrongdoing? Also, what does an unqualified audit opinion even mean?"

"On behalf of my firm, and of my audit team, I'm willing to donate this external audit, so it won't cost the Order anything beyond a tax receipt for the firm. Now, as a new client, there are a few questions my team needs to ask before the audit proper begins. As for the unqualified audit opinion, it only means the financial statements are free of material misstatements: errors can still subsist but are small enough not to have a significant impact, especially because there are a lot of transactions and we can't check all of them. It's by no means an assurance of the Order being a good charity to donate to"

Objective: “Brodsport is fair game”.

Allies: Order of the Silver Jedi & Affiliates.

RPJmCUD.png

The Judiciary had been a symphony of sounds that the padawan could not help but notice. Every groan, every hiss, every click. It was so dramatically different than what she had grown used to, in some ways familiar, but largely all foreign to her. A momentary distraction from meeting those aboard the ship, the men and women whose morale was renewed at the presence of Veiere Arenais, and the slew of greetings from those that had discovered she was his padawan – not that it was a secret. But this was her very first mission alongside her master.

And after so many years on Kashyyyk the excitement was practically palpable from Illyria. The anticipation for her first off-world mission radiating with every word or step from the padawan. Though few would presently notice, now on board the shaking Upsilon-Class Command Shuttle, its struggle against friction and gravity liable to consume anyone’s full attention. Her hands gripped the interior of the ship, steadying herself in her seat as they broke atmosphere, a descending metal bird coming to the aid of the miners.

This would be Illyria’s first interaction with the Mandalorians, though for a life spent largely on Kashyyyk, it wasn’t too difficult to be her ‘first’ anything. There was also word of a cult abducting people and whether that was tied to the presence of Mandalorains, Illyria could only guess. For a first off world mission it was every bit as daunting as she hoped, a pit of fire ignited in her chest as they neared the surface and as drawn to a challenge as she was, Illyria had not forgotten the true importance to their task today – aid those being preyed upon by others. Her double-bladed lightsaber safely hooked to her belt despite its rattling, Illyria made brief eye contact with her master, giving him a reassuring head nod – a signal to indicate that she was ready.

Any moment now.

These days it seemed that her life seemed to take her from shuttle to shuttle, ship to planet and back. She'd like to say that this was no different than any other mission, but then that wasn't exactly true. It seemed like any other mission for the Jedi, but the company, oh the company. Asaraa's eyes fluttered open for a moment, crystal blue eyes cutting over to stare at Veiere Arenais, just by his very presence the man was intimidating enough but added to the fact he was her boyfriend's father? Well, the need to impress him just seemed to grow and grow.

Closing her eyes again the young Jedi took a deep breath and let it out, the basic breathing exercises every youngling was taught as her hands fell to rest against the hilts of her lightsabers, the feel of the cool metal. It was strangely calming, the familiar feeling of those weapons that she'd spent so long crafting and training with, a reminder of her capabilities and her experiences so far. There wasn't anything they were facing that she hadn't faced before, anything on the planet that she couldn't handle, especially with the other Jedi around her. More settled the pink-haired gear sat back in her chair, waiting for the shuttle to land, to deposit them on the planet when the action would begin and they'd be called into action.

Mandalorians. There’d been much talk of the Mandalorians in the galaxy as of late. Normally known to be a rowdy bunch, they’d been under near-constant siege since around the time Yula and Thirdas had returned from Midvinter. Regardless, Nida’s own contact with the warring culture had been few and far in between. She’d been present on Azure during the Jedi’s siege, but had spent much of her time patching up soldiers on the beach. Her mother had snorted derisively during their last holocall, muttering something about ‘bucketheads’.

Reports coming from Danuta, a world sitting just outside the Silver’s sphere of influence, indicated that a mining facility had been hit with several raids over the past few months. Both personnel and mineral goods had been lost, prompting the Silvers to come in and attempt to rectify the situation. As something of a combat medic, Nida had been one of the Jedi assigned to the task force headed by Master Arenais.

The Antarian Rangers had been deployed as well, and Nida was both surprised and delighted when she’d bumped into Thirdas aboard the heavy cruiser. The two were often busy with their own work, him with the Antarian Rangers and her with the Silver Circle, so it was rare for them to cross paths while in the line of duty. A measure of apprehension slowly joined her jubilation in realizing that this was the first time they’d be working together.

The shuttle ride down was relatively quiet, and Nida casted brief glances as those around her. She was grateful for the presence of a Master Jedi, and his apprentice appeared the capable sort. For a moment, Nida’s eyes fluttered down to the saber hanging from her own belt, the sight stirring the faintest itch in her right hand. This wasn’t the first time she’d felt it, and in the back of her mind she’d been wondering if it was possible to be allergic to kyber crystals.

As the shuttle landed she turned to Thirdas, whom she’d been standing beside, and mouthed a simple “ready?” to him.

" No I dont have the credits with me!"

" What no?! Do I look like the type to bring Jedi on your head, your hugeness. The jedi wouldn't let me even light up in front of them, Thats how conservative they are!" The raspy voice of an older fellow sounded aloud within the noisy hanger bay. A private section of the Spaceport over Danuta owned by a prominent Hutt. And apparently Jeremiah owed this slug abit of money for the giggledust he had stolen. The alien huttese dialect spoken to Jeremiah as he stood lazily in place was starting to becoming a bore. Vibro lances prodding at his backside. Thankfully they were shut off. Blasters aimmed at his front and a massive hutt in front of him. This situation was a bit of a pickle.

He was still armed but... It would be dumb to reach for him blaster now of all times.

" Look, look.. I can go get my spice stash and give it to you as payment. Its refined and not like that poisonous poodoo on Nar Shadaa. Just let me.." He moved to the left in an attempt to try to change position but his hosts were not having it. Then the protocol droid translated an interesting bit of information. " His excellence demands you give up your person stash of spice and pay double the amount owed within twenty four hours. If not paid then you will be hunted down and terminated."

Objective 1: Brodsport Is Fair Game

Location: Aboard the Judiciary

Every time he returned from a mission he would look her up. Every time he got shoreleave he would see whether she was free. Many times he was let down finding out she was either away on mission herself, or busy furthering her Jedi training. Bumping into her on the cruiser taking them to the world of Danuta was the last thing he'd expected, but he was beyond pleased that he did. They had not gotten much time together once he'd entered Ranger boot camp, and even rarer were moments like the one aboard the shuttle which brought him to Kashyyyk in the first place. To now spend time with Nida while on mission was more than he could ever ask for.

She didn't need to try and remain close to him, for in truth he barely left her side during their journey to Danuta. They weren't alone, of course; it was comforting knowing they would both act under the supervision of a Jedi Master, along with his apprentice as well as other Jedi and various personnel. While the Jedi ways had never appealed to him personally, Thirdas had learned to hold Jedi - especially the wiser, older masters - in high esteem. Could be they just reminded him of mother and father. Besides, the Antarian Rangers had sworn themselves to the Silver Jedi Order, and the Jedi were considered their superiors in terms of authority. So, he would serve Master Veiere Arenais this day.

When Nida mouthed the word "ready", Thirdas smiled and subtly took her hand in his for a gentle squeeze. "Ready," he replied for her ears only.

"Master Arenais, sir," he then spoke up as the Jedi drew near, his hand instinctively letting go of Nida's. He was not sure whether it would get her in trouble, showing affection for him. "Forgive me, Master, but... You once served with Thurion and Coci Heavenshield, did you not?" His arms at his side, he attempted the traditional Jedi bow as he introduced himself, averting his gaze out of respect. "I am their youngest, Private Thirdas of Dorn Company, Task Force Raider. It's an honour, Master."

Objective 2

Near: Aurel Kvold and Griet van Vliet

The B'omarr belief was one that had caught Reggie's interest before starting the investigation. Removing their brains to achieve some kind of enlightenment wasn't something you heard everyday afterall, so digging up information was a given beforehand. He wasn't interested in removing his own brain of course but everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

Now was the chance to discover more about them since it could help them discover where the missing people are, and why anyone who believed in the B'omarr religion would have a hand in their disappearance. The fact that authorities and governments probably had a hand in the disappearance of others made things even more complicated and worrisome. That didn't matter though, what mattered was finding the people.

First order of business was going to the temple to see if he could get any answers from the acolytes. It seemed like he wasn't the only one who thought that though, seeing a women he had never seen before with a badge on, signifying that she was also looking for answers. Reggie approached her to offer his assistance.

"Taking a good look around I suppose?"

Reggie scanned the area himself, taking in everything and everyone inside. He saw Griet van Vliet, someone he had met once before, talking to an acolyte.

"I'm guessing you're here because of the missing persons report? I'm here to offer assistance if you are. I'm Reggie by the way."

The Padawan was wearing regular clothing that wouldn't draw attention to him, something that wasn't out of the ordinary. He fit in with the other civilians for the most part, wearing a simple shirt, pants, and a pair of boots. He had a pouch that kept his lightsaber hidden in order to keep his identity hidden from most.

Hostile Combatants: Zef Halo

It had been two hours since the Savannah, a near-autonomous Panthera-class Stealth Frigate assigned to Pathfinder Unit Besh, had arrived in low orbit around Danuta. Concern about potential enemy anti-air capabilities around the Brodsport compound, which couldn't be accurately verified by the ship's powerful sensor suite, had the four KV-03 Stealth Dropships take all necessary precautions; deploying the two Pathfinder fireteams and their four Saotome Ground Jeeps on the barren plains a little over a hundred kilometres away. The Pathfinders managed to make their way to the Brodsport compound in about forty minutes, and had since then taken up tactical positions from where they could observe the target area.

From her position, half-laying in a gully and hidden from view behind the thorny remains of something that had once made a brave attempt to be shrubbery, Nesota could see the front entrance of the compound. The tall stone wall that surrounded it, which was probably built to keep out the local wildlife and discourage potential thieves, seemed robust enough but had ultimately failed to discourage these Mandalorians; from what she could see, they had simply just blown the gates off it's hinges. Nevertheless, while that wall would make a potential assault against the compound much more difficult, it had one advantage in being a blind wall. It was impossible to see what was on the other side, but contrary to the Mandalorians they had the advantage of overhead observation in the form of the Savannah

"Sergeant," The voice of Second Lieutenant Varr, their Cathar handler aboard the Savannah, rang out in her ear. "We just got our hands on an employee manifest of the BMC compound and, not counting any absentees, we are looking at twenty-five hostages. Confirm those numbers, if possible." For a brief moment, Nesota closed her eyes as she heard the potential number of hostages they were dealing with. "Also, be advised that the main strike team is en-route to your position. Do you have a status update regarding the enemy strength and anti-air capabilities?"

Turning her attention to the Pathfinder laying next to her in the gully, Nesota gave him a curt nod as she spoke up to answer. "We have visual confirmation of several hostiles, but no anti-air weapons. We are releasing the Sentinels for closer overhead observation." The Pathfinder, who doubled as the fireteam's technician, didn't need any further incentives to shrug off his backpack and retrieve a small container. As he opened it, the droid inside activated itself and emerged from its dock; hovering idly until the technician repeated Nesota's orders. Upon hearing what was expected from it, the small Sentinel beeped happily in response before silently flying off in the direction of the compound. Not paying attention to the technician, Nesota had already turned her attention back to her earpiece and spoke up while all this transpired next to her. "Fireteam Two, release your Sentinel and have it search for hostages and hostiles within the compound."

Sentinel Droids... as Nesota listened to the confirmation through her earpiece and knew that the other Fireteam, which had taken position against the blind wall on the other side of the compound, was also releasing their droid, she couldn't help but be amazed at the technology. One just told those droids what to look for, and they'd autonomously carry out the search until they found something of interest; at which point they'd share their sensory data with the technician. She smiled within her helmet for a moment before speaking up once more. "Savannah, we positioned our sharpshooter on the roof of a building to the North of the compound, and the other on a bluff to the East. Please signal the strike team, we're ready and will cover their arrival."

===OOC===

Actions taken:

-Arrived at the Brodsport compound

-Launched Sentinel Droids for closer overhead observation, and to search for hostages

-In position to cover the arrival of the strike team

Objective Two: Cultists

When birds wanted out of their cages, they sang.

People were kinda the same way.

But instead of cages, it was the threat of death.

Tulan had shown him his face. Shown the man that he didn't care. He didn't know that his security team was knocked out, hog-tied, and gagged. He thought they were dead, and he was next. But as far as Tulan was concerned, they were just hired guns, guys who needed a job. Standing outside some asshole's house wasn't signing a death warrant.

But this guy?

Well, with what Tulan was learning-

He could barely write it down. Had to get it all on recording. The man was spitting off names at the rate that a machine gun would. Names of people involved with the cult, and what they did for the cult. Tulan had to stop him several times, asking for clarification. Some people were following the money, probing questions. Tulan was probing people, the best kind of information. Nothing quite beat intelligence from people themselves.

He stood tall after the man rattled off a plethora of names from the cult.

Tulan smirked and held his knife out.

"As a professional courtesy, I'm leaving you with this."

Not the ribs, no. Could puncture a lung on a human. But in the stomach- just at the right spot? That would just hurt more than anything. He wouldn't bleed out. He'd untie one of the guards and let him come to, safe and sound on his way out. Call the police, all that. But the police would be too late to find Tulan. No prints, nothing but a lot of confused guards, and a bleeding, guilty official.

And Tulan had a lot of names to start crossing off.

But one stuck out when the guy was blabbering on-

Not exactly high up on the police roster, but one of the morticians was involved with the cult. A dirty cop was bad. A dirty mortician.

Arguably worse.

Tulan set out, eager to set things to rights, and maybe- cause just a little more pain, a little more havoc on the way. No doubt the scanners would be alight with the fact that someone did the most elaborate half-kidnapping somewhat-torture on the surface.

But hey, Tulan was on leave on Coruscant.

Objective: 2 - Brains for B’omarr - Ongoing Investigation

Location: Central Authority Plaza, Trid

Allies: Open

Enemies: None

With a long, black coat that swept out about Allura's legs as she strode across the plaza, the Umbaran did nothing to hide the blasters holstered under her arms. Likewise, anyone with a problem with a woman enjoying a cigarra didn't get the time of day. Not that many stared long given the glowing void of her eyes. Her people had a reputation; often one proclaimed to be of mystery or deception. Suited her fine if that had the locals keep their distance right now -- after all, if she had any questions for them, Kahli would go to them.

People at the door held out a hand to slow the newcomer as there was no mistaking her for a helpless street urchin. "You need to turn around with those weapons."

How forceful. Allura grinned around the cigarra between her teeth. Slowly she drew it from between her lips and paused to admire it for a moment as the scent of vanilla wafted about them. "Yeah, sure. Right after you let your Lieutenant know Captain Kahli is here." A long draw on the stick followed before she exhaled a plume of smoke. "I'll wait."

Their hand tightened on their rifle. She could tell the man knew how to use it too. Good posture, strong grip, steady eyes. Didn't much matter to her, however. Especially when their partner spoke up, apparently disinterested in the measuring match just moments from taking place out there in the open. "Call it in." Two seconds passed before the other's voice grew louder and more insistent, "Call it in."

Allura's eyebrows lifted slightly as she met the man's hard stare. They could stand there for the next hour if he wanted. She had plenty of cigarra, and more than enough fuel for her lighter.

It took three minutes before they got a hold of their boss and figured maybe they should let the woman in that was there on their request. The Captain nodded, smiled, and tapped the end out on the door frame as she slipped inside. Last thing she heard was an oath about having not shot her. Imagine what would have happened if she'd "dropped" the cigarra down his tunic.

Not far inside the building a plainly dressed man in a button-down shirt strode up to the Umbaran. "You're here about the case?" His low voice rumbled in his chest as much as it carried across the distance between them.

"I am," she replied after casually flicking the cigarra off to the side. It bounced against the wall and then toppled into a waste bin. "I understand it could involve some rather sensitive individuals."

A low rumble followed her comment. "Let's discuss this in my office." With a downward turn to his lips, he turned and led the way deeper into the complex.

Fair enough. Wouldn't be to 'embarrass anyone by suggesting they might be next, or that they were a practitioner of one insane cult. Not that Allura cared what voodoo someone believed in. No skin off her back if they dreamed of a day their brains were put into a jar. Plenty of other people had weirder dreams out there. Just a bit unfortunate the Captain had to deal with this one personally.

What the?: Grankiddo Nida Perl

After activating the automated process of loading his beloved freighter the Corellian Bolt with the stolen cargo of precious ore, the smuggler walked off to a nearby observation platform. It was nothing more than an open small balcony overlooking the facility's inner courtyard where bodies of security personnel lied. The clean air (as much as the air could be clean around a mining facility) was soon replaced by the familiar stench of his lightened cigarette.

Zef hardly bothered to scan the area around for anything, thus missing the sentinel droids subtly prowling in and around the facility. The cigarette glued in his mouth as he used both hands, just like an old man using technology, to navigate through names across his datapad. It finally fell upon Lorris T'yrk - a spice addicted but incredible fence who would be able to move and sell this stock in the expensive sectors of the Mid and Inner Rim of the galaxy.

"Halo, you son of a bantha! Dead man calling, eh?" the cheerful due to substance abuse face of the Bothan lit up the datapad screen.

"Not yet dead, Lorris, not yet." Zef briefly smirked but then frowned. "You found a buyer yet?"

"Almost, almost. Almost."

Zef pursed his lips in disappointment.

"You got bigger things to worry about, don't ya?" Lorris grinned showing sharp canine teeth that could possibly rend through bone if Lorris was not a vegan hippie. "It's a mess, right? Told ya, didn't I? Lorris T'yrk told ya - don't get the job with Mandos involved. Not now. Not with all the mess these bucket'eads are in, ey. But you didn't listen, ey. Mind over money, even after all these years in the job, ey...Alright. Tell me."

"The idiots have raided all guns blazing the biggest mining facility on Danuta." Zef curtly replied.

"All guns blazing...ALL guns blazing?!"

"Loud and with a bang."

"Ooph...Danuta, you said? Watch out and hope they ain't loud enough for the Jedi next door to hear, Halo."

Zef grumbled some sort of an inaudible curse under his breath. "Yeah. I've got a bad feeling about this."

"I'd tread carefully, ey. Load up quick and bail."

"Think only about getting a buyer, Lorris. Plenty of ore. I will handle myself."

"Heh, a'ight. May the Lady Luck smile on ya."

The connection ended and Zef muttered to himself sarcastically. "Smiling. Toothless."

He decided to remain on the balcony for a bit more to finish another cigarette.

"Forgive me, Master, but... You once served with Thurion and Coci Heavenshield, did you not?

I am their youngest, Private Thirdas of Dorn Company, Task Force Raider. It's an honour, Master".

Before they'd reach the surface, Thirdas Heavenshield posed the Jedi Master an unexpected inquiry as to the former leaders of the Order of the Silver Jedi from far back during Veiere's first days of introduction to the organization, back then situated upon the world of Voss. "In a way I still serve alongside them as a representative of the Jedi Coalition..." Veiere smiled faintly, responding with a half answer, soon to elaborate "Though I was never a part of the Silver Jedi back when your Parents were in charge. None the less, I've had the pleasure of knowing them, as well as the personal privilege to call upon them as friends". Though in truth, if it hadn't been for Théodred Heavenshield, Veiere might not have met any of them, nor even left the world of Alzoc Three in which he had lived a decade in former exile back long before his children had been born. "Your Mother and Father are arguably the most honorable people I know, Private" Veiere added with a firm nod in acknowledgement and recognition of the younger mans heritage, "Do them proud".

Turning to look to those whom were alongside him for the descent unto Danuta, Veiere silently considered each of their strengths and experience from what he knew from personal experience. Nida Perl was the less familiar of the group, though looked no less than any other. Asaraa Vaashe, Veiere knew to be a junior member of the Silver Assembly and therefore had no quarrels nor concerns as far as needing to watch over her. Truthfully, it was his Padawan Illyria Sol Rhia whom required the most consideration, for she was the youngest and inexperienced of the lot. Nothing like being thrown in head-first to learn how the Galaxy could chew you up and spit you out...

Caught off-guard by the incoming transmission via his ear-piece, Veiere's right hand lifted to the subtle comms-unit as he listened to the update provided by their forward scout party, Nesota Kynnovan and the Pathfinder Unit Besh. "Alright everyone, listen up" Veiere spoke to the group aboard the Upsilon Class Transport, "Intel reports an estimated twenty five hostages within the facility...-At present there's no Anti-Air on site so we're in luck as far as infil goes. LZ's going to be hot but we won't be alone down there. Besh Unit of the Pathfinders are already scouting ahead of us".

"Officially, the government of Danuta wants this facility back at all costs, but off the record, those hostages are our priority" Veiere reminded them, though he knew they likely wouldn't need it. "We're dealing with suspected Mandalorians, rogues not thought to be part of the united clans but all the same, don't underestimate them. We know their like for beskar and their hate for the Jedi...-Do what you have to do, but don't get careless. These are professionals" Veiere finished, giving each of them a confident nod and turning back to look to the entrance to the hold. Before long, the smooth transit from space changed to the rocky and turbulent descent down through the atmosphere of Danuta. Within minutes they would have cleared the clouds and the facility would be in view, word coming over the intercoms of the personnel hold to announce their pending landing to the strike team.

"This is it, may the Force be with all of us" Veiere called above the sound of the winding engines, the repulsorlift thrusters firing in order to slow their descent before landing. Pressing his hand down against the nearby release lever, the compartment entrance opened to release a rush of ear into the cabin alongside the sounds of blasterfire being thrown in volleys against the transports hull.

The Operation had begun.

Enemies:  Grandpa Zef Halo

As Thirdas gave her hand a gentle squeeze, Nida couldn’t help but return his smile. He’d always towered over the petite Zeltron, but by now he’d gained at least a foot on her. It was exciting to think how far they’d come – a soldier and a Jedi, respectively. For the first time, they’d be working on the same task together.

Thirdas addressed Master Arenais, who in turn confirmed familiarity with his parents. Heavenshield was not an uncommon name among the Silver Jedi as Coci and Thurion had been cornerstones in the Silver’s success. Young as he was, Thirdas was nothing short of honorable and she had every confidence that he would indeed do them proud.

As the shuttle sped to the surface, Master Arenais briefed them on their latest update received from the scouting team. Mandalorians, hostages. Her stomach twisted in concern. This was not the first time she’d been assigned to a more volatile mission, but there was always that anxiety at the beginning. Fortunately, treating injured men and women in combat zones had forced her to learn to keep her head on straight and concentrate on her task.

One last look at Thirdas – a nervous smile – before the exit door swung open, the sudden rush of air ruffling her hair. Blaster fire pinged against the hull of the transport triggering Nida to raise her hand and channel the Force into a barrier doming over the task for as they hurried to exit the craft. Her face was already creased in concentration, but something in the air felt…unexpected.

Objective 2: Brains for B'omarr

Allies: Aurel Kvold Reggie Faayare

Suspicious: B'omarr

"Yes" Griet answered to Reggie after turning around.

A familiar face was around her, one Griet met on a dungeon crawl organized at the behest of one of her very first audit clients (she was originally a tax accountant, but external auditing was a more adventurous line of work within accounting) that ended up with an adverse audit opinion, especially with a CFO that was fired because of wrongdoing. She can't be a Jedi: never did I even hear about a Jedi that practices accounting, the acolyte thought, while detailing with Griet the internal controls in place, and the Great Room of the Enlightened was the nexus of the B'omarr internal controls. The first question in audit planning is: where do the risks of material misstatements come from? As it was an initial engagement, and the wrongdoing the B'omarr is accused of could reasonably be considered a non-routine transaction, she could always have tests of controls performed surrounding the upkeep of the brains. For all the non-routine nature of the brains on their accounting records, the brains were a peculiar, if non-current, asset: would they be accounted for as you would livestock, in which case the costs incurred to extract them would be expensed at the time of extraction, or would they qualify as PP&E? If the latter, there was another question that would arise: were the brains depreciable or non-depreciable property? I would like to know whether I could access the PP&E ledger, as well as the associated ledgers of AR/AP, medical expenses and depreciation, because I think I will need access to these for what is to follow, she telepathically asked the acolyte, believing the B'omarr, if they expense the brains, rather than capitalize them, would keep a specific ledger, and, if they used fund accounting, have a fund specifically for the enlightenment process.

"Maybe the Great Room of the Enlightened would carry clues, I need to go there myself, under acolyte supervision, so if you could please follow me and the acolyte there, it would be well-appreciated"

Objective I: Brodsport Is Fair Game

Location: Danuta surface > Mining facility

Enemies: Zef Halo

Thirdas returned the nod. "I won't let them or you down, Master Jedi," he replied, realising more and more since the day he arrived on Kashyyyk his parents' legacy had travelled far and wide. All it did was spur him onwards, wanting to do right by their good name without getting overburdened by their long shadow. Perhaps it was one of the reasons he did not wish to become a Jedi himself; knowing he would not reach the same level of greatness. At least, that's how he thought of himself.

Realising the descent would be a bumpy ride, Thirdas reached for an overhead handle to keep steady, as well as wrapped his free arm around Nida's waist as if on auto-pilot. The rush of wind entering the shuttle proved more than enough to ruffle her long violet hair, only making her look even more pretty in his mind. However the incoming fire quite ruined the moment and Thirdas went for his rifle and stood by the opening. He turned to Nida. "Stay close to me, I'll keep you safe," he promised her with a gentle smile before entering Ranger-mode and loading a fresh clip into his weapon.

Before they had even made their way down he'd already dropped two Mandalorians; with the ongoing hostilities between the two factions, he'd learned quite well where to target standard-issue beskar'gam for greatest effect. Considering these particular fellows were just another band of brigands and mercenaries, according to the intel, their equipment was hardly the latest stuff and already showed a good number of dents from previous scraps. Jumping off the ship onto firm ground along with Nida and the others onboard, the combined strength and skill of Jedi and Ranger proved effective in securing the LZ of hostiles.

A reprieve in the fighting followed; it had been all too easy to overcome their outer-most defenses. "Master Jedi," he approached Veiere, eyes still fixed on their surroundings and the mining entrance up ahead with his gun raised. "It is likely the Mandos are busy setting up ambushes deeper into the facility. They will have set up layered defenses, this being the weakest one," he suggested, although it was more than likely Master Arenais had already come to that same conclusion. "Suggest we establish this as our fall-back position in case of a hasty retreat, leave a few people to guard the ship while we press on."

Hunkering down behind a piece of cover while awaiting orders to move out, he turned to Nida. "You alright?" he asked out of concern, before flashing her a reassuring grin. "Exciting, isn't it?"
