Description: Originally, the Aeseth-class Space Superiority Fighter was a starship produced by Iron Crown based on a Subach design. When the Fringe removed Subach from their territory, the design was shelved before reappearing in the hands of RRDI/Emeritus after the former company's then-owner, Saera Savan, purchased the specifications as a part of the Subach auction. Emeritus took the chassis of the aging starship, still competitive, and proceeded to significantly refit the design. Chief modifications were the replacement of the original ion reactor with a 1.5:1 ratio antimatter reactor, providing enhanced power to the ship as a whole. The enhanced power allowed for maintaining of previous thrust levels, while allowing for the replacement of the cockpit-flanking laser cannons with heavy lasers, enhancing the refire rate of the wing-mounted lasers. However, the downside was a decrease in the power of the ship's shields, though their recharge rate has been significantly decreased. A wide variety of systems have been added to the frame, albeit with some minor reduction of structural stability, bringing it to the comparative capabilities of its chief competitor, the X/A-66 Seraph.

Development Thread: N/A

Intent: To provide a minimal refit of the Aeseth-class fighter, in order to adequately compete with the current types of space superiority fighters utilized by the Sith and other galactic powers.

Advanced deflector shields

Weaknesses: Heavily outdated chassis, minimal shielding

Minimal shielding would imply that the shields present on the ship would be less than standard, advanced being entirely the opposite of this. I need to see the two of these change to reflect the intentions behind this ship, whether it be replacing it with a real weakness or changing the shields available to reflect this weakness.

1 rapid-fire ion cannon(chin-mounted)

I would also like to see this removed with the armament it currently has.

Edited the submission, also chose to downgrade the heavy lasers - would that allow me to keep the ion cannon?

Enigma

Drop laser cannons to 3, make the ion cannon a light ion cannon, and increase speed to 3. Alternatively drop 2 of the laser cannons and make the ion cannon a light one and you should be good without changes to speed.
