Jamie Rose Pyne of House Pyne, born on Naboo to the noble parents of Torlen and Melinda Pyne. A family heritage dating back to the ages of the Republic before the Clone Wars and Galactic Empire, the Pyne family estate sits on the outskirts of Theed atop a lush hill overlooking the city a brief distance away. Melinda and Torlen serve as humanitarian ambassadors between Naboo and the rest of the galaxy. Most notably they embark upon aide excursions to bring medical supplies, food, clothing, and refugee shelters to war torn and post-disaster worlds. Their duties also include appointed members of the Royal Court, responsible for convening with other elected officials to advise the monarchy on important internal and external affairs concerning the people, economy, and Naboo as a whole. As for Jamie, her life for the past 18 years have consisted of rigorous schooling to include the basic teachings of galactic standards, history, mathematics, and sciences. Additionally she was enrolled in over a dozen mentoring programs aimed towards noble youth consisting of debate and ethics training, as well as civics and governmental structure and hierarchy studies. Furthermore, she was also enrolled in extracurricular activities that immediately followed her daily studies including kick-boxing and fencing, of which she was recently named champion of the fencing league after the latest youth tournament held at the Grand Coliseum in Theed.
Her first realization of her Force sensitivity was during the Grand Championship Tournament. Despite all her talent, there was always something rather unnatural about how precise and perfect her movements were in training and competitions. The reason behind this was generally lost on everyone until that day. Upon scoring a hit against her opponent, the boy, who dwarfed her in size, both height and weight; became enraged. In his fit of anger he managed to knock the blonde to the ground, after which began violently punching her in front of a crowd of over 30,000 spectators. Panic set in, and before she lost consciousness she managed to shove the boy, except the shove was far more powerful than anything she could have ever expected. Through the air he sailed, as if light as a feather, to the opposing side of the arena, slamming down to the earth in sheer terror. Jamie was hence declared the victor due to disqualification, however the subject of interest was less her victory and more her now present Force sensitivity. This sensitivity attracted the eye of one Keira Ticon, who quickly seized the opportunity to whisk the girl away from the coliseum and in private begin to unravel Jamie’s mystery. Slowly things began to piece together, and despite her better judgment, decided to abandon Naboo with Keira to begin training this newfound power, believing that this may be her only opportunity to pave her own destiny in the galaxy, lest she be stuck on Naboo for her entire life. While waiting for transport at a space station in orbit, she ran into Kurt Meyer, a courier sent to deliver a package to her back on Naboo, though was subsequently arrested under suspicion of kidnapping the girl by her panicked parents. One diner shoot-out and a dozen heated arguments later they managed to forge some type of broken friendship, and he offered the girl a lift to her destination. The end result? The two slept together, and she became enamored with him during the course of their trip, as volatile as it had started. It seemed that her life had taken quite a series of sharp and drastic turns in the matter of days and weeks. More had happened to her in that time than the 18 years prior. That, to her, was a sign that she had to be on the right path. As the two parted ways at Cartao Jamie began her training on the then Republic held world, learning the core basics and fundamentals of the Force, as well as a broader history between the Jedi and Sith, including the places of legend. Temples, names, and battles were drilled into her memory over the course of her training there.
Every so often Jamie was able to take a brief leave to explore the galaxy. One of these trips included a tip to Bespin, where she met a bubbly girl named Kaileann Vera, and her tiny ysalamir friend Bobo. Stumbling into an illegal race in the streets she set eyes on the strawberry blonde about to get into a bit of a bind with some angry looking fellows for touching the vehicle. Jamie made a silly attempt to intervene, which ended with the three of them on the run for their lives from the disgruntled racers. As odd a way to begin a friendship, it brought the two together, seemingly as the Force willed it, for the two managed to become acquainted with one another enough that Kaile convinced Jamie to take a trip with her to Sullust to see the Jedi and temple built there and learn a bit more about the Force and the Jedi, as well as the Galactic Alliance. Their trip could hardly go uneventful though, as mid-flight they encountered SPACE PIRATES! Those dastardly cretins tried KILLING THEM! RUDE. Despite Jamie’s gosh-awful piloting skills the two somehow managed to escape relatively unharmed and made it to Sullust. It was there that Kaile introduced her to Jacen Voidstalker, a rather quiet and serious Jedi that Kaile took quite a liking to, as she explained on their way to the temple. Jacen took the girl around, explained a bit of the New Jedi Order, their operations, and asked Jamie a fair number of questions about her own motivations and such, before offering her a place to bunk and learn more from. Jamie of course took the man up on the idea, given the extensive library she would be given access to, as well as the potential for another mentor down the line. During her travels she also met a man by the name of Connor Harrison back on Naboo. A member of the Silver Sanctum Jedi Order, a fair bit older than she, but a gentleman nonetheless. Their meeting came during a festival and faire in Theed. However rather than playing games and riding rides, they ended up going spelunking beneath a waterfall in the countryside, her favorite place that almost no other knew of. The Force once again saw fit to grace the two with a gift, a previously undiscovered deposit of rare Force imbued crystals! The girl immediately felt a draw, a connection to one, her very own crystal. Connor took the opportunity to teach Jamie about the ins and outs of a lightsaber, as well as its’ construction. He even helped her build her very first one! A beautiful yellow saber was born that she later made small modifications to to personalize it more to her tastes. The two would later travel to Voss and further explore the Silver Jedi Order and their philosophies.
What was perhaps one of her most frightening adventures to date was mid-travel through space when the girl happened upon a distress beacon in empty space. It had been active for some time, however she decided to act in an attempt to offer whatever aide she could to the derelict craft. Unfortunately the ship was a trap, loaded with Sithspawn, a hive to be exact. Unknowingly the girl boarded and was immediately in dire straits. Luckily another ship had been responding to the call as well, a member of TKO, Bryce Bantam boarded the ship shortly thereafter in an attempt to rescue Jamie from what was lurking in the shadows. It was simply too late though, and she encountered the beasts long before Bryce found her. Through the ventilation shafts she scurried in an attempt to escape, only to find herself cornered in a hallway. Perhaps it was her screams of terror that drew Bryce, or the Force, but regardless he found her just in time! Saving her from certain death the two made their way to escape, certain that none of the crew were left alive. With the two nearly free of the ship she was able to call on the Force in a moment of panic, halting the beasts in their tracks somehow while they made it safely to the other ship. Panicked moments of Force usage seemed to slowly become a trend for her, as it happened once again during Kurt and Jamie’s vacation trip to Spira. While spending time exploring and beach going, a vicious Manka Cat tried to eat, kill, and maim the two. Rather than allowing Kurt to shoot and kill the beast the girl slapped the blaster from his hand and made an attempt to somehow speak with the animal. For a moment it seemed to work, though the use of such ability exhausted her and she quickly fainted. Next thing she knew she was being carried through the woods, three large gash wounds on Kurt’s back, the result of her foolish mistake. When all was said and done, Jamie ended up having to rush Kurt to the hospital back on the shore due to the gravity of his wounds he had suffered. When Kurt was finally released from the hospital the two decided to visit Naboo and properly meet Jamie’s parents. The two were able to secure a ship for free from a mechanic on Spira. A ship they quickly discovered held some interesting secrets of its’ own! The ship belonged to a family that Jamie’s parents were familiar with! That raised several questions, questions that she was determined to get answers to when they landed. As luck would have it though, upon landing on Naboo the ship was immediately impounded, as the ship was marked as missing for several years. Kurt and Jamie managed to get ground transportation to her estate and awkwardly introduce Kurt to Torlen and Melinda. It seemed to turn out better than expected in the end, at least in regard to her father. Her mother was less impressed that Kurt was not a Naboo citizen or noble by birth.
Holding off on bombarding her parents with questions when they just arrived the two instead explored Theed for a bit where Jamie was able to purchase a new camera, as hers had been lost back on Spira when they had fled the Manka Cat. Little did she know that she had actually mistakenly purchased a one of a kind military prototype camera with half a dozen highly advanced features not intended for civilian use. By Kurt’s request the two returned to the star port authority to check on the status of their ship, and received a portion of the story related to the history of the ship they’d received back on Spira. Jamie finally put the pieces of the puzzle together, and the two quickly made for Pynewood to confront her father. It was then revealed that her father had an affair with a woman, a family friend and business partner, and that they had a child together, a child that to this day had been kept secret from everyone else, and raised by the mother, Jesslyn Underhill. The baby girl, Mariya, was given her mother’s surname to further keep the child a secret, the assumption that the child was the daughter of the woman’s now deceased husband. In a fit of anger Jamie demanded that the secret be let out, that her father tell everyone what was being hidden, and she and Kurt left Naboo. Jamie had finally received a more permanent mentor and teacher, a Jedi Marshall, member of the New Jedi Order and leader of the 5th Legion: Aela Talith. Having been assigned the rank of Padawan and following along the elder girl on assignments and missions, the first of which entailed a trip to Bastion to gather intelligence on a high ranking member under suspicion of terrorist acts against the Galactic Alliance. That trip took a deadly turn however, as their cover was blown by the daughter of their suspect. That same daughter, in a terrible twist of fate, delivered a lethal blow to the Padawan during their altercation, filling the girl's body with a terrible poison due to a brash, snap decision against the better judgement of Aela. Thankfully Aela vastly outmatched their foe, allowing the two to complete their mission, as well as saving Jamie's life by locating the anti-venom necessary to reverse the effects of the toxin. Jamie then embarked on a series of smaller endeavors, including meeting up with Connor Harrison and his then student, Aria Vale, to investigate a report of a Sith stronghold discovered to be active on Iridonia. Following that, signing herself up for a series of relief efforts around the galaxy, Jamie made a journey to Dorin with the assistance of Lily Kilia to deliver supplies intended for assistance in recovering from Sith occupation, and lack of support from the core. Similarly, the Padawan also found herself on the coveted world of Coruscant, aiding in similar fashion at a hospital, serving with one Saint Monica.
The young noblewoman, upon returning to Naboo, began to undertake a more civic role, similar to her parents, serving in the royal court, reporting directly to the crown. In fact, she had become so entrenched in the politics of Naboo so quickly, that during the terrorist attack orchestrated by former Galactic Republic Supreme Commander Suravi Teigra, the girl was the responsible party for delivering the condemnation of the attack, and assured the Naboo people that justice would be delivered to those responsible. A bounty was posted in response, after uncovering the perpetrator. Through a series of communications, delegations, and evidence decimination, it was discovered that Survai's forces were a rogue cell of the Republic, operating with scavenged resources. Nicolas Thorne, another splinter of the Republic, with the backing of the treasury, condemned the attacks and requested a meeting with the crown of Naboo to pursue the attackers, and reestablish channels of communication between Naboo and the exiled Republic. With the posting of the bounty, many faces, new and old began to emerge, including an old and well respected HK unit, HK-36, looking to take on the bounty of Suravi on behalf of the people of Naboo. Returning to her training, Jamie traveled to Dxun with Aela to study the methods of Beast Mastery, a subject that greatly intrigued her after the involuntary attempt at the ability back on Spira with her boyfriend Kurt that ended in near tragedy. The Jedi wished to learn how to control this technique, to understand its' uses, as well as herself and the implications of using the Force untrained. Aela had training in the subject thankfully, and experience on Dxun, making it the perfect atmosphere for learning the subject, and advancing her progress a bit further. Then came Ossus. The Mandalorian and Sith combined attack of the Jedi world saw the near total destruction of the temple there, however despite the general bleak outlook, Jamie managed to engage her very first Sith acolyte, Waide, and even if things didn't go quite as she'd hoped, she did manage to save several lives, free several hostages, prevent the loss of life, and make a difficult to describe friendlyish rival in the Sith.
Lothal, however, was far less bearing of fruit than Ossus had been for her. The trip was supposed to have been a break from training. Despite that, the Knights oF Ren, of the First Order managed to enter the crystal caves belonging to the Jedi, where an apprentice by the name of Castor Ren managed to set the stage for a potentially deadly trap, pinning the young Jedi beneath a small mountain of falling rock and debris. Her life was owed to Aela for digging the apprentice out from beneath the rubble, thereby freeing her from the rocky prison that would have surely been her demise. Shortly after news broke that Kurt's roommate was now pregnant. Her boyfriend decided to relay that information to her on Pelagon, where they were meeting shortly after the woman returned and recovered from the events on Lothal and Ossus. Harsh words were exchanged, Jamie feeling that Kurt had lied to her, that there was more going on between the two, and that she could not be a part of his life any longer. She left him there, alone, and returned to Sullust. Another brush with Sithspawn came during what was to be a testing of a Galactic Alliance warship, while checking on the mysterious communication failure between the Alliance and an outpost near First Order space. The assumption was mechanical failure, pirate raid, or First Order strike. What they found when they arrived however was nothing they could have been prepared for. Hundreds of Sithspawn mutations had overrun the facility, killing every occupant, and nearly killing all of those who landed with Jamie and Aela to survey the situation. Forced to flee the planet, their only course of action was to destroy the outpost entirely, bombing it in order to kill off the Sithspawn in their entirety. Taking some time off to visit Prakith with a GADF escort, Jamie attempted to study the ancient ruins of Darth Andeddu, however was interrupted by a Sith Pureblood by the name of Vrak Nashar. The Sith, without provocation, attempted to murder her and the GADF forces, though was eventually subdued and restrained at the cost of two soldiers in Jamie's team. The girl was unable to acquire much information about the man, and thus decided that taking him to Alliance space was too risky, instead choosing to leave him on Prakith, having knocked the man unconscious. This decision would later come back to haunt her as the man tracked her to Naboo, abducting her from the palace and subjecting her to brutal torture until the Padawan's master sensed her trouble through the pair of bracelets each girl wore, establishing a Force bond between the two, and came to her aide once more, forcing Vrak to flee the planet.
This prompted Jamie to post a WANTED bounty on the man who had been kind enough to divulge his name to her, which to her surprised was quickly executed by a fellow Sith named Maleagant, delivering the Acolyte to Jamie promptly after a brief altercation between he and Nashar. Vrak was swiftly delivered to the underwater maximum security prison that housed dangerous criminals indefinitely within stasis fields, suspended by Force restraint and suppression collar. Aela, feeling the strain and stress in her Padawan, decided to opt for a more leisurely job protecting an official on Borelais, notably one of the more ritzy cities that Jamie would feel at home in. Shopping, casinos, night life, fine food and perhaps even some tears were in store during this trip. If nothing else, this was exactly what Jamie needed to unwind, and for Aela to find out exactly what had been going on with her student over the past few weeks.
Present: Several months later, during an excursion to Mustafar, the noblewoman found herself face to face once more with Castor Ren, only this time, in the midst of the First Order invasion of the system. Their words were brief, a plea for peace met by the response of blades. Jamie fell, having been unprepared for such an encounter, and was taken captive by the Knight of Ren. She was brought to a secure location on Hoth and interrogated by Sieger Ren himself, in the flesh. The man spoke of the war between the Alliance and the First Order, how he planned to settle things, and what her thoughts were, being who she was -- At the time, a noble girl from a peaceful sovereign world. Their discussion was cut short at the impromptu response of the Galactic Alliance invading the Hoth system days following their defeat at Mustafar. Thankfully for Jamie, although the Alliance failed to take hold of the system, it provided the distraction needed for the blonde to escape both Castor and Sieger and return to Naboo. It was there, at her home, that Castor returned once again. This time, he came in search of her specifically, not to kill, or recapture, but to broker an armistice with the alliance, with Jamie, the newly elected queen of Naboo, as an advisor and mediator.
