Bryn'adûl Crusaders | Hel Shard Drop Pod

07 June 2018 - 04:11 PM

[Source: X]

  • Intent: A Drop Pod for use by Bryn'adûl Brutes
  • Image Source: Artstation - transport pod by Eddie Del Rio
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A

  • Manufacturer: The Bryn'adûl
  • Affiliation: The Bryn'adûl
  • Model: Bryn'adûl Drop-Pod
  • Production: Limited

  • Material: Durasteel, electrical components

  • Classification: Drop Dop
  • Length: 40
  • Width: 20
  • Height: 20
  • Armament: None
  • Defenses: Extreme
  • Squadron Count Moderate '16'
  • Maneuverability RatingLow
  • Speed Rating: Very High
  • Hyperdrive Class: N/A

All Standard Features

  • Plummet: Once released from the bowels of a ship, the Hel Shard plummets at extreme speed towards the planet surface and crashes into the ground, allowing the Drop-Pod to deliver troops quickly to the battlefield.
  • Thick Skin: These drop pods are built to take severely heavy punishment, delivering troops safely to the ground below.

  • Straight Down: These things have next to no manoeuvrability, meaning powerful Anti-air guns can easily take these things out of the sky, additionally; when landing on dangerous terrain. It's very difficult to manoeuvre away potential threats, meaning that often enough these things kill those on-board dropping into treacherous terrain.
  • Open not Fire?: Hel Shards have no armaments whatsoever, this makes them easy to surround and kill the Crusaders as they exit the Drop-pod.
  • Trapped: These things are a one of use type vehicle, they land and can't leave. This means that, those on-board are trapped on land until they are extracted. Retreat isn't an option when on board a Hel Shard.

The Drop pod carried a total of twenty total Brutes. The upper halves of the ship pop open, allowing the Brutes to leap from the pod and move to ground.

Critique Wanted!

Hey guys, I'm a little lost as to what to do with Tathra at the moment. I'd really appreciate, some critisism from my fellow writers. Some ideas as to where to go with the character and perhaps what to focus on to improve my writing and the character.

Looking for DnD5E players

05 June 2018 - 09:27 PM

I'm looking for a total of 2-3 total people, to play a 2-3 hour session of DnD on the weekends every week. It doesn't matter if you've played before, all you need is a pdf editor, discord and a mic.

I have all the necessary files for you to make a character. Don't worry about books or dice either.

I've been a DM for about 5 years, and I'm looking to start a new campaign in 5E. I already have two people looking to play, so looking to fill up some other slots in the party.

Will be easy going and casual, really hoping for some friendly participants. All are welcome, as long as you're nice.

Thanks for checking in.

Edit: Looking to play generally 1:OOPM - 3:OOPM or more likely closer to 8:00PM to 10:OOPM GMT.

So, between the afternoon and evening.(Thanks for the advice Audren Sykes)

Bryn'adûl | Tekara Helm

05 June 2018 - 04:02 PM

[Source: X]

  • Intent: To create a mask to allow Tathra to see normally, instead of infrared vision.
  • Image Source: Pilot - Vitaly Bulgarov
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A

  • Manufacturer: The Bryn'adûl
  • Affiliation: Tathra Khaeus
  • Modularity: N/A
  • Production: Unique

  • Material: Nano-tech, Durasteel, electrical components

  • Altered Vision: The helmet's red visor allows Tathra to alter his vision to view the world the same way as a human. This item is for mostly, social and cultural appreciation. It's not a combat orientated item.
  • Nanotech: The nano-technology allows Tathra to easily remove the visor for combat.

  • This visor can be easily removed, it simply forms around the forefront of Tathra's face, allowing him to view as a human does with ease.

  • When this nanotech helm is active, it limits Tathra's visibility somewhat and also makes it difficult to utilise his fire breath.

This item, is simply a tool for better visual comprehension of certain items, species and people. It allows Tathra to appreciate art, and colour. Instead of simply viewing things in variations of heat. This item has no offensive or defensive abilities, nor is designed for combat. It's experimental technology that alters how the mutated eyes perceive the world. The name 'Tekara' is derived from the Dravalan word for 'sight'.

Bryn'adûl Crusaders | Wendigo - 6D3

04 June 2018 - 09:01 AM

[Source: X ]

  • Intent: To create a upgraded and more powerful rifle for the Crusaders.
  • Image Source: Artstation - Armour by Victor Kudryashov
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source: Wendigo 4D1

  • Manufacturer: The Bryn'adûl
  • Affiliation: The Bryn'adûl
  • Model: Heavy Blaster
  • Modularity: N/A
  • Production: Minor

  • Material: Durasteel, Blaster components, Micro-Grenade launcher

  • Classification: Heavy Assault Rifle
  • Size:  Very Large
  • Weight: Very Heavy
  • Ammunition Type: Power Cell/Gas Canister | Booma Genades
  • Ammunition Capacity: 120 (Power Cell) 360 (Gas Canister) | Four Booma Grenades
  • Reload Speed: Slow

  • Effective Range: Average
  • Rate of Fire: Very High
  • Stopping Power: High
  • Recoil: Very High

  • Extended power pack capacity
  • Grenade Launcher attachment
  • 2x Scope
  • Multi-Fire Options (Auto/Burst/Single)

  • Firepower: The rate of fire of a Blaster Assault Rifle is always its greatest feature, in fully automatic fire the weapon can unleash a torrent of powerful blaster fire that mows down enemies easily.
  • Stop, Listen, Die: The Wendigo is more robust than a typical lightweight blaster and carries a heavier punch with its thicker blaster bolts, granting it more stopping power than a traditional blaster such as an E-11.
  • Grenade Launcher: The grenade launcher underneath carries Grenade sized Booma rounds to disable vehicles, electronics.

  • Automatic Panic: When used in full automatic mode, the weapon loses accuracy through continued use. Therefore, it is advised to use the full automatic mode sparingly
  • Overheat: The rate of fire and power when used in full automatic has one consistent issue throughout all combat scenarios, if used continuously it will overheat and require a cool-down period of twenty seconds before the weapon can be used again. Additionally, when the weapon overheats it fries the power cell in the chamber.
  • Recoil: The recoil of the 6D3 makes it most optimal to be used in burst fire mode at medium range. Due to it having a higher stopping power with slightly more powerful blaster bolts than a typical blaster rifle, the weapon tends to incredibly inaccurate in untrained hands and difficult to control even in the hands of a soldier without proper care.
  • Massive: Due to the size of the Crusaders, these weapons are almost comically huge for a normal person. They can easily be dropped, and are extremely difficult to carry when injured.
  • Reload: The reload speed of the rifle is slower than average, meaning that after the clip is emptied; a Crusader Brute is quite vulnerable.

The weapon itself is an upgrade upon a previous design, which was held-back by its use of human troopers. Now, under the use of strictly Dravalan Warriors, the weapon is allowed to evolve to its truest potential. It mirrors the savagery of the brutes who use them. It excels in close quarters combat, like their armour; being able to be utilized against multiple opponents and mow down infantry.

However, the weapon is practically useless at long range, whilst the weapon does have a single shot option; this is more so in use for executions and use against civilians rather than in actual combat.
