I apologize for the delay with the map update this month!

I had some trouble with my computer which delayed my ability to get this done last weekend, but here is the September Map Update!

This was a pretty quiet month for the most part, mostly filled with dominions, a shift of location and a rename for a faction, the removal of one faction, and some planetary additions. All in all a pretty low key month.

#1845472 New Factory Administrator

Posted by Jamie Pyne on 15 August 2018 - 08:27 AM

Hi everyone!

Over the past 9 or so months the Factory has undergone quite a lot of changes, changes that I, and the rest of the Factory staff felt were both a long time coming and gravely needed. Hopefully most of these changes were seen as positive, as my goal upon taking over the Factory was one of making things more fun and easier for everyone to use. For one, the introduction of SSDs was something I was very happy with.

Overall the support of the factory judges and RPJs, as well as the fantastic input from the community was something that made everything work. The amount of time and effort that goes into being a FJ cannot be understated, and I cannot thank the judges enough, both past and present, for everything they've done. The RPJs, both past and present also spend a great deal of time coaching, advising, and supporting both the judges and myself, and for that they are owed a great deal of gratitude.

That being said, I believe that my time at the helm of the Factory has come to its natural conclusion, and that it's time for me to step aside and allow new changes and fresh ideas to take the Factory forward. As of Sunday, August 19th I will be stepping down as the Factory Administrator. In my stead, Tefka will be taking over as the Factory Admin. I will continue to remain a member of the admin team performing the duties outside of the Factory as I have in the past.

Thanks SWRP for supporting me, and my team over the past year! It has been fun!

It's August and galactic real estate seems to be opening up near the core once again with the decision for the CSA to go minor. We wish them well in their future endeavors! Y'all had a fantastic stay and a great story! Congrats!

That being said, not much going on aside from some planetary additions and dominions this month. (Where's those invasions at!?)

Anyways, I hope everyone is having a swell summer, I'm still coming off my T-Swift 2-day Reputation Tour high  Here's your map update for August!

Minerva Vessia

I have to pull this back out due to my own oversight. Your manufacturer is only a Tier 2 company, and the production here is at Limited for a RM. You'll need to either reduce to Semi-Unique or use a higher tier company.

Sorry about that!

#1827581 Safe & Sound | CIS Dominion of Naboo [R-45]

Theed Palace | Srina Talon | Amaya Cardei | Aryn Teth | Antoine Rhys | Chikako Liona | Cora deWinter | Cardinal Vi'dreya \

Before the opportunity to respond to Srina had presented itself, Aryn had injected a small request of his own regarding the use of the offered Alliance funds that had been salvaged before the collapse of Coruscant. Cerulean eyes fell upon the dispirited man, an empathetic nod followed. "You may rest assured that the entirety of credits transferred will be used solely for the benefit of the refugees seeking asylum from the core, Commander." Aryn may not have been the head of a military any longer, but Jamie felt the title due out of respect. "As to the appropriate recipient for those credits you may transfer them to the Royal Vault of Theed. Governor Gáros will be in charge of allocating funding throughout the relief sectors." The crown as well as a number of noble houses had also collectively allocated funding to offer support with the refugee crisis.

Jamie knew full well that Mariya wouldn't be thrilled with her appointment to this viceroyalty. The girl hated politics. She was short with her temper and sharp with her tongue, but she was also quick witted and held one hell of a poker face. The woman knew she would get no thank-you out of this, but there were scarce few remaining that could be trusted to carry the interests of the Naboo and represent the monarchy within the Confederacy. "If my sister is where I last saw her, you'll find Mariya in the palace hangar. The RSF may escort you there if you wish to see her."

The hangar was situated two levels below, built into the face of the cliff side and obscured by the rapid falls that covered its ray shielded entrance. It was used exclusively by the monarchy, the Royal Jedi, and the palace defense force. Earlier that day Jamie had found the girl there, stripping away pieces of her starfighter in an attempt to make whatever repairs it needed. That sort of thing was well over Jamie's head, even more so than the act of simply flying one was. Given the amount of work it appeared she had going on, it was very likely the brunette would be found in that same spot, beneath the belly of the fighter with a spanner in hand and her R7 droid somewhere nearby. "If nothing more is needed of me then I will see to allocating more hands to prepare for the additional refugees arriving."

The flowered language the Exarch used in purporting the Confederacy's noble goals and interests of innovation and growth layered over the not quite subtle reminder of their military superiority and what could be was not lost on the young Queen of Naboo. The woman did however possess the wisdom to pass over the comments without address. It served none to linger on the subject of hostilities were it not warranted. Still, it needed to be understood that Naboo would not stand to become a military asset for the Confederacy's war effort. Judging solely by the sour expression of certain member's of the pale woman's entourage Jamie's words hadn't exactly been well received.

It wasn't until the woman standing opposite to Jamie spoke of their Vicelord as being a Sith that her expression visibly shifted to a more consequential one. Though she and her fellow Nabooian Jedi were not galactic crusaders against the Sith like the New Jedi Order had been, if Srina's goal had been to unsettle the golden haired woman it was certainly an astounding success in that moment. Briefly her eyes shifted to her left and right, observing the body language of both Aeshly and Jartin. Though they remained reserved out of respect for the delegation Jamie was well enough familiar with each to know that they would have words with her at the conclusion of these proceedings.

Jamie understood the importance of focusing on what was most critical, and in this case her people came first. Despite personal feelings shared by her fellow Jedi regarding the Sith, this was not a debate of creed. The woman subsided her backlash regarding the subject for the time, choosing to instead drive forward the conversation. "We do not expect the Confederacy, nor did we expect the Alliance to mirror our neutrality. While we hold this anti-war approach close to heart we are not blind to our minority in this regard. It is not the goal of this court to make demands that the Confederacy alter its approach with respect to war fronts that Naboo is not involved in. And while I cannot commit soldiers to your efforts, I am more than willing to provide whatever support we can in defense technology." It wasn't men, and it wasn't war droids, but she hoped it was compromise enough. "As for a delegate to join your Viceroyalty I am afraid I must decline myself, as I do not feel it would be appropriate. In my stead I will assign my sister, Mariya Pyne. She is more than capable of speaking on my behalf in my absence."

A single nod then affirmed Srina's request to begin.

#1825291 The gas giant’s most famous moon

Posted by Jamie Pyne on 12 July 2018 - 11:45 AM

Beneath a dense patch of trees, low hanging branches and age old brush underfoot she found traversing the jungle was made all the more difficult by just how inhospitable the air itself was. No sooner had she taken a moment's break to drink did she need to again. Heavy beads of sweat ran down the back of her neck, temple, and cheeks. She could feel the damp cloth of her shirt pressed against her back and the pack she carried. The incline of the slope leading towards the temple was further an obstacle to overcome. One false step could easily lead to a broken ankle, or a nonstop slide to the base of the hill. Jamie had already received a small number of scratches and scrapes from squeezing between the sharpened branches of trees.

"Just a little further..." She said to herself, nearing the clearing at the foot of the hill.

A fleeting reprieve in the form of a light gust broke through the densely packed trees, though the closer she got to the temple the more it became apparent that even once inside it was unlikely to be any more welcoming. The air would be stale, on top of repressive. An ancient ruin eroded by time, forgotten by man, and left to nature. Whether or not it was even still able to be explored would be a question. Several hundred years of exposure to the elements was likely to take its toll on the integrity of a structure made largely of stone.
