Some Chaos Jedi have basically doing this - Coren for sure, Tiland Kortun , Sor-Jan Xantha's little Binaros temple a while back, arguably chunks of Matsu Ike 's clan, probably half a dozen more that escape me just now. It's a natural fit, we just get too hung up on prequel era.

I’ve got a monastery with lots of empty rooms. Also there’s a giant tree that grants dreams of the past, the present, and the possible futures to those who sleep under its boughs.

This is nicely made though the Jadeite do try to make equipment for anyone who serves the light. Try our new eyes of Je'gan for piercing illusions and starchaser strike team armor.

This is something very worth getting behind

This, my master instituted in my time. We had an enclave on Ossus, the Daimon homeworld, two in the Unknown Regions for insurance purposes. I suppose I had a small one on Cathar. Merek Steele could have established one on Corellia if he wished.

The future of the Jedi for the generations to come was his greatest concern. It seems that concern was well-founded. I think this is a good idea. Though I would still be of a mind to keep the Silver Rest and other main temples in full swing. But by spreading out, it makes us harder to wipe out, and while one Enclave may be weaker, enough sand will bury anything. United in unity and common goals when the need arises, we'd still be a force for good. And being spread out we can cover more ground, be aware of more of what is going on. And allow us to ... be Jedi as we're meant to be. Not wrapped up in body politic problems. The majority of us anyway.

The other issue though would be legitimacy as a whole for the larger galaxy, as well as resources - ships, armor, facilities, cash flow. As much as we might have lofty ideals the galaxy runs on credits. We need fuel to go places. We need capital. We will have to account for this.

That's certainly true - I've been scraping by with an old Y-Wing for years, and relied on gifts and donations more often than not. But most of the Jedi groups I've seen haven't been hurting for resources. Battlecruisers, elite fighters, majestic temples. It might do us good to tighten our collective belts and sell off some of the toys. We could last a very long while on that.
