In our third and final preview issue for Age of Chaos: Darkness of Bogan, as stated at the end of our last preview, we at Galactic Illusionary Gaming would like to reveal two new card types that will be debuting in the latest expansion. Without further ado, the first type of card that is being revealed:
Sorcery cards, specifically ones that depict certain aspects of the infamous Sith sorceries, are debuting in Darkness of Bogan. Unlike Action cards, that can be played on either player's turns, Sorcery cards can only be played on the player's turn. For this set, we have created ten Black Sorcery cards that can dramatically change the course of a match. In the future, the company expects to adapt Sorcery cards besides using them to depict Sith spells for other Force traditions and techniques.
The second new card type that is debuting in the coming expansion are twenty cards that draw upon the ancient history of the dark side within our galaxy, some cards having benefits for yourself and others having detrimental effects on your opponents:
Enchantment cards can be used to target and enchant either players or individual cards, as stated on each card, and applying an effect that will trigger at the beginning of the stated turns. For this set, we have created ten, for lack of a better term, Curse cards that apply negative effects to your opponent and ten Offering cards that apply powerful boosts to cards on your field or to yourself. To depict these cards, the company consulted with the University of Lorrd and the archives on Obroa-Skai to compile a list of individuals in the history of the Sith and other dark organizations and their most prominent abilities. Each Enchantment card, due to their strength, are Rares in the set, but we expect them to play a potent role in many decks.
Last, but certainly not least, we at the company are happy to announce the full set for Darkness of Bogan will be available to the public in one week. We are still working on the accompanying Commander Decks for Darkness of Bogan, so we ask for your continuing patience as we develop and balance the decks. We are also pleased to announce that next month a special combined set for Age of Chaos: Darkness of Bogan and Age of Chaos: Light of Ashla will be released, with a few new exlcusive cards that will only be found in the combined set.
