Bogano's prevailing winds lifted Elias' locs gently off his shoulders and neck as he carried the last crate of provisions out to the landing pad. The Calypso was primed and ready, full of everything he would need for at least a month of traveling. It would take at least that long to reach the first of the Jedi enclaves on his list. Elias' new instatement as a Council member of the New Jedi Order and its first official Quartermaster led him to spend a great deal of time meditating, and through that meditation, he felt the Force calling him to the Mid-Rim enclaves. Bolstering their defenses and ensuring they had supply lines to the Core was paramount for the coming months.
"Can't I go with you, Master Edo?" Fenn asked as the Master Jedi stepped down the Calypso's landing ramp and onto the hard ground. Elias knelt in front of the Padawan and ruffled his hair. "You know that you have to stay, Fenn. You've got to train with old Master Ere here, keep him on his toes!" The boy and Elias chuckled at the not-that-old Nautolan's expense, but Erewhon wasn't offended in the slightest. In fact, he responded by pulling Elias into a tight bear hug. "We'll be here when you return, brother," Ere said with a nod. Elias returned it with another. "Keep them safe. And watch out for Erewhon, will you?" He gave Fenn a wink.
Elias turned on his heels but stopped, remembering his final wish of his second before departing. He withdrew a thin data-slate from his rucksack, preloaded with a message ready for its intended recipient. "Leave this for her," Elias said solemnly. Erewhon didn't need another word. He'd make sure that Efret Farr received the note, one way or another. "See you soon, brother," the Nautolan said, putting his arm around a sniffly Fenn who added, "Bring me back a souvenir!"
"I'll see you both soon," Elias said, then stepped aboard the ship.
