Jaemus Civil War Concludes

The skies over Jaemus have grown dark - not with storm clouds, but with the presence of a star destroyer. The INV Nightlance cuts slowly through the atmosphere, meeting no resistance. Where its shadow passes, notices of unconditional surrender are transmitted and accepted.
After decades of fighting, the Jaemus Civil War has concluded in favor of Moff Antipater. It was at his urging that the Dark Empire dispatched the star destroyer which now pacifies the system.
Moff Antipater had long-styled himself as the legitimate successor to Imperial authority in the system, despite having seized power in a violent coup. His predecessor - the Jaemus Ruling Council - had suffered from corruption and mismanagement. Various breakaway factions seized upon the resultant power vacuum, further destabilizing Jaemus and culminating in the abandonment of the planet's orbital shipyards. These factions included the Braxant Liberation League, the Jaemus Democratic Front, the Free Jaemus Alliance, the Imperial Restorationist Front, and the so-called Sith Awakening Movement.
Antipater's coup saw the dissolution of Jaemus Ruling Council. In its wake, the droid established the Jaemus Directory. As no faction would recognize the legitimacy of a droid ruler, war became the only recourse.
The Jaemus Directory and the Braxant Liberation League quickly emerged as the civil war's major players. Failure by both sides to secure armored support and aerial superiority resulted in deadlock. The ensuing years were marked by protracted trench warfare, with little ground gained or lost for the better part of a decade.
Seeking a speedy resolution, Moff Antipater began to appeal to the then-nascent Dark Empire for support. It is only now that his efforts have yielded results, as the Empire seeks to shore up its position against the Diarchy. Unable and unwilling to withstand the threat of orbital bombardment, many combatants have opted for capitulation.
Several legions of the Sith Awakening Movement have dispersed rather than surrender, abandoning their previous positions for the rugged mountains of the eastern hemisphere. Elements of the elite Red Right Hand, the personal agents of Imperial regent Marlon Sularen, are reported to be leading the Directory's counterinsurgency efforts.
Although a shadow of the old war remains to be fought, the Directory has already begun to shift its focus. Moff Antipater addressed the planet's populace in a succinct broadcast from the capital of Diadochron:
"Reconstruction and political reconciliation have become the Directory's foremost priorities. All citizens are expected to remain compliant with special directives while planetary unification is finalized. Your obedience during this critical transition will be well-rewarded."
