ADDRESSED TO: The Office of Her Majesty, Queen Kalantha
FROM: The Office of the Confederate Head of State

Most esteemed Majesty,
The correspondence is a surprise, yet a welcome one.
I graciously thank you for both your kind words as well as the raised concerns. The unstable situation in Alliance territory is indeed a concern for the Confederacy as well. Alternative trade routes had to be sought. Yet, the Confederacy is fortunate enough to be self-sufficient, enabling us to indeed aid our neighbours in their time of need.
While I am in complete understanding of the wariness of the flag my nation flies, I can assure Your Majesty that we are not our previous namesake. Though I once served that predecessor as naval officer, I now aim to repair the damage wrought by that nation. Your trusted officials are indeed wise in their counsel and Your Majesty is indeed wise to listen and keep an open mind.
Your Majesty's concerns about the Galactic powers mirror my own. The instability, the chaos even, that these powers are creating, is deeply troubling. It is paramount that those that value stability and prosperity should unite against it, standing as sentinels for a better future and providing safer havens for those that need it in the process.
I echo Your Majesty's words that it would be most beneficial if our borders meet with olive branches. It would indeed be counter-productive if the Southern Systems devolve into war as well, while both our nations seek to stabilise it. In light of this sentiment, as the Confederate Head of State on behalf of both the Confederate Executive Council as well as its Parliament, I humbly accept the gracious invitation to the Summit and await particulars regarding date and timing.
I do seek to reform the bonds that my nation's unfortunate predecessor has shattered. It would be an honour if Your Majesty would be open to the prospect as well.
May the prospect of unity guide us.
Yours sincerely,
