(This is an excerpt of the highly praised, Diarchy-sponsored holobook "New Biography of the Diarchy". It talks specifically of High Chancellor Tashsi Qsa, and his role on building the Diarchy)

Doctor Tashsi Qsa: the Brightest Smile of the Diarchy

Dr. Tashsi Qsa is the acting High Chancellor of the Diarchy. Known to have the brightest smile of the Diarchy, the man is one of the main contributors to the foundation of the Constituency we know today. A human born in Taris from a rich family of merchants, he became the black bantha of the family when he chose to study medicine and serve the people with all his heart. During the earthquake in Taris known as The Great Tremor (see Chapter 2: The Great Vision of Kakus), the kind man risked his life to save and treat the poor, and quickly became famous around the planet for not once asking payment or favours in return of his treatment. He and his modified ship, The Lazarus, became a beacon of hope for the families who had their whole life destroyed by the incident.

It was during this period that Dr. Qsa met Lord Kakus, the Visionary, for the first time and, from that moment on, they formed a great bond and became inseparable. It is said that this bond was one of the many inspirations used by Kakus to justify the Diarchy and its potential.

When Kakus' wife was pregnant of the soon-to-be Diarch Rellik, she suffered great injuries by an unknown disease that drained much of her enegy. It was due to Tashsi's brilliant application of medicine that her newborn was able to survive, unfortunately at the cost of the woman's life.

The Doctor acted as Kakus' councilor for all of his life, and created the Diarchs as a second father. After Kakus' unfortunate death, battling against severe depression, the duty called the old man one more time to guide and shape the Fatherland to the diseased Lord Kakus' vision, and to council the Diarchs with his deep wisdom of a man who lived, and lives, with the people and for the people.

"All men must die, but death can vary in its significance. Though death befalls all men alike, to die for the people is weightier than Coruscant. To live for the people, though, has the weight of the universe -and no price at all" - Dr. Tashsi Qsa
