There was something out here.
Jorus knew it. That is why he ventured out to this area of the galaxy nearly two decades ago. But it was not just the beautiful coral reefs that caught his eye. The Force was strong on this moon in ways that even Okkeus had not seen before. Like there was a deeper calling than just light and dark. Something more primitive, something more ancient, something more...powerful. He felt a calling to his place unlike anything he had experienced before.
That is why the Blue Lightning had touched down a few hours ago. The Jedi stepped foot off of the ship's ramp, taking in the aquatic air that surrounded him. Both sides of the Force had a strong presence here. Almost as if they were fighting with each other, but unsure what the battle was for. It was fascinating. Even though his droid Apollo could not feel it, he could tell from Okkeus' noticeable lack of emotion that there was a unique thing about Mezokara. An anomaly that needed to be studied.
A short walk led the spacer into a nearby town, where he met up with some of Baobab's crew that decided to remain on the moon. Navi was one such member. The man had spent a few years here, studying the properties of this place, along with the nearby Ring of the Rapture. Fascinating structure that was. Okkeus made a mental note to travel there once his time on the moon was complete. Navi and the crew suspected that the ring had something to do with Mezokara's distinct alignment to the Force. The effect which the ring caused, Hyper-Rapture, was said to produce visions that led to some unknown location that the followers believed held the secrets to the universe.
Knowledge like that had the chance to drive someone crazy. Which, unfortunately for many, did. Most of the rapture's followers would end up lost upon the stars, still searching for that eternal promise. Or maybe they did find their way, unlocking information that could change the galaxy forever. They possibly gained this newfound understanding and chose to stay disconnected from the rest of civilization, seeing the danger they now possessed.
All theory, of course.
But this moon and its connection to the Force needed to be studied further. Okkeus knew there were answers here to questions astronomers and historians have been asking for hundreds of millennia. Though the answers found may only create more confusion than clarification. Only time would tell.
