I know I should have written to you a long time ago, and I have no excuse for why I did not do so. I could say I didn’t have time due to the Empire affairs, but that shouldn’t be an excuse. My time was more about trying to save my future heir, my daughter. I know what you think of my late husband, but our daughter is different. I know the NIO is allied with the Ashlan Crusade, so maybe you’ve heard of it. But enough of the excuses.
I learned at the end of the war that he had been honoured for arresting me, or at least they are commemorating you for it. I’m glad something good was born out of that situation. That, for my part, could not be said. You must know that I have not achieved anything with captivity, although I have managed to find a good number of allies, I have not succeeded in winning our cause, nor the Jedi, your late Imperator or the former Chancellor either. They refused to see anything in me but someone who supported the Sith.
At that time, I could not say that we supported them only because of the danger of Bryn'adûl. I believed I could use the Sith Empire if Bryn'adû set out for Core World. None of this came true, because of Lord Cedric Grayson, we stopped supporting the Sith Empire before the end of the war. That's when our connection with the Ashlan Crusade began…
I made you a promise on Serenno, which I kept. You, on the other hand, could not keep what you promised to keep my son safe until he got home. I don't blame you, I know he did everything, the ship got out of the system. But my daughter’s people didn’t trust the NIO or you while I was in captivity, my son lived in the Netherworld. When I was freed and returned home, I got a young adult man back. Partly because of you, I couldn’t see him grow up, I wasn’t a part of his life. Maybe that’s why I’m only writing to you now, and I postponed this for so long.
We have made peace with the CIS again and an alliance with Ashlan Crusade is imminent, and we have also begun to build closer connections with the SJC. Surely it comes as no surprise to you that our relationship with the remnants of the Sith Empire is escalating and we are at war with them. It didn’t help that I exiled Darth Carnifex and Darth Prazutis from their home planet during the Ashlan Crusade’s attack in Panatha.
But going back to why I am writing to you, the promise has been fulfilled. I personally executed and killed the ruling council of the Bryn'adûl and the Eternal Empire defeated their fleet on the planet Danuta with the help of Ashlan Crusade and we got some help from the CIS too. Their Empire then collapsed and thousands of worlds were freed from their rule. I hope that your homeworld will also be free and that the rest of your people will be able to find a home there again.
Speaking of which, we contacted the SJC to re-offer our assistance in clearing and re-terraforming the planets. It has now been accepted; and, of course, we will support the rest of the world without them, if we can. I know currently the Maw is the biggest danger and we are also at war with them, but we must not forget those who need help from others. If you or your people need help at any time, you know where to find me; I will not say no to your request.
I know how much anger and hatred there was in you, now that you have defeated the Sith Empire, and your home has been saved; I hope you find peace too. At least for a while until you start fighting the Maw again. You continued to be the fairest and most respected citizen of the NIO among those I met under the Civil War. I am confident that you will find your peace and we will still have the opportunity to meet sometime, Lord Rennagen!
