Overview
The Dominion is a rising system government united by their disdain for the Force, most specifically those who wield it. They see the Force not as a mystical gift but as a blight that corrupts its wielders and destabilizes civilizations. Unlike many factions that choose sides in the endless Jedi-Sith conflict, the Dominion views both orders—and any other Force-wielding group—as existential threats to galactic stability.
Operating as a tightly-knit coalition of military leaders, scientists, and disillusioned citizens, they view the galaxy's reliance on Force-users as a cycle that must be broken. They preach technological superiority and individual empowerment as the means to liberate the galaxy from the Force's sway.
Philosophy
- The Galaxy Without the Force
- The Dominion believes that the Force is an unnatural phenomenon, perpetuating violence and chaos. They claim peace and progress can only occur if Force-users are eliminated and the galaxy returns to a "natural state."
- Equality Without the Force
- They believe the Force creates an unjust hierarchy by granting a select few immense power while leaving the majority powerless. True equality can only exist if no one wields such abilities.
- Purity Through Innovation
- They champion scientific progress and egalitarian ideals, contrasting the mysticism of the Force with reason and technology. Technology is viewed as the ultimate equalizer.
Structure
- The Conclave
- A governing body of intellectuals, generals, admirals, and influential figures who steer the Dominion's strategy. The Conclave emphasizes collective leadership to avoid the cults of personality they despise in Force traditions.
- The Vanguard
- Elite strike teams trained to hunt and neutralize Force-users. They are equipped with cutting-edge anti-Force weaponry and tactics, including suppression fields, anti-lightstaber weapons, and advanced droids.
- The Enlightened
- A scientific arm of the Front tasked with developing technologies to suppress or eliminate the Force itself. They conduct experiments to "purify" planets or individuals connected to the Force.
- The Shield
- A grassroots militia made up of civilians armed with knowledge and tools to resist Force-users. They act as the Front's public face, spreading the truth about the Force and the people who wield it, especially their destructive nature.
Methods and Arsenal
- Anti-Force Technologies
- Suppression Engines: Devices capable of creating large-scale Force-nullifying fields.
- Force-Breaker Mines: Explosive devices that disrupt Force connections on impact.
- Adaptive Droid Soldiers: Combat droids designed to exploit the predictable techniques of Force-users.
- Etc.
- Propaganda Campaigns
- The Front floods holonets with stories of Force-related atrocities to turn public opinion against Jedi, Sith, and any other Force traditions.
- Direct Combat
- Sometimes you just have to go to war to stop the Force Users from destroying everything.
