As a result of our recent vote, I have submitted a request for the First Order to become a minor faction.
It has been a wild ride and we have told some really exciting and interesting stories together. I hope that doesn't change. But as of now, we don't have the manpower to justify a major faction status. Rather than waiting for the ignominy of a recall for inactivity, we have chosen to take the step to take it at our own pace.
At this moment, I have no plans to take the First Order to major status again. My life is quite busy and if one thing is apparent from the last few months of working with the faction, it's that there is no appetite to pursue major faction status. With that being said, I am very attached to the First Order we've built here, and my characters (particularly Natasi) have a deep connection to it and the worlds involved, so we will be maintaining a narrative of the First Order's continued existence, scaled down and off the galactic stage. You are more than welcome to stay, or start a character in the space, and write that.
If, on the off chance, anyone wants to start writing their First Order characters again, please feel free. However, we respectfully ask that you do not write a narrative about the First Order's collapse or commandeer First Order troops, ships, or materiel for warlording or other purposes. As with everything we have tried to do in our run, I would like to do this with an attempt at dignity. If you have plot ideas for the First Order and would like to chat about it, the Discord will stay up and you're more than welcome to hang out.
It was a privilege to write with the group and in the future I'd hope we can do it again. I'd like to offer my particular heartfelt thanks to Matt the Radar Tech, Karisa, and Korynn Sol-Syna for their efforts to help maintain our activity. Although the effort did not succeed, your valiant efforts were appreciated very much.
