The Imperial Confederation
News Letter 08 / 04 / 2025.
Good morning TIC!
My name is

In this news letter I am aiming to bring you all up to date with current events and our plans for Imperial roleplay on Chaos going forwards. Over the past four weeks, since Tefka announced the decision taken by the site's administrator team to recall both the Dark Empire and the Empire of the Lost, it has been a chaotic, uncertain time for writers and their characters who were affected by the decision.
While the former staff of the EOTL have attempted to keep everyone up to date with our response to our faction being turned from major to minor faction status over on Discord I can understand if people who are not so active on the application are either lost, misunderstood or confused by events that have transpired over the past four weeks. Therefore I endeavour to deliver this letter as a means to cover every base and get everybody up to speed so that we can get as many of you as we can involved in this project.
Since March 10th up until today several new Imperial factions have sprouted up including two in the form of the Imperial Sector Authority and Risen Empire. While I cannot speak for the other factions that have been created since the EOTL and DE were recalled I can speak about the ISA and RE in this letter.
When the decision to recall the EOTL was announced it's former staff team held conversations about our future. We decided that it was time to put the EOTL to bed and start somewhere fresh. This later led to the creation of the ISA which we intended to be our new home, and from here we began the planning stages that would lead up to us applying to become a major faction in May 2025. Among our discussions were continuing the story beats that we began with The Diarchy back in November, 2024, when the EOTL was still a major faction, and we will endeavour to keep those stories going with the creation of TIC going forwards.
With the necessary conversations regarding the formation of the ISA already complete, and the groundwork for how our faction would look like, and be subsequently presented on the website, we were already in the first steps towards our comeback as a major faction. The ISA, in it's original concepts and frameworks, was intended to be the direct successor to the EOTL with many of the same characters who were previously apart of the Empire having joined this new faction. While containing many of the same faces we intended to present the ISA differently in comparison to the EOTL. We intended to go corporate by focusing on a business dynamic while still keeping core themes that would have made us distinctly Imperial. This later led to the creation of the first ISA thread which you can read here.
Last week I was approached by Selrik Lorcas who invited myself and other staff of the ISA to have conversations with himself and his staff team in the RE to discuss a consolidation of both factions into one. Given the sudden rise and creation of so many different Imperial factions (who are within their right to be created, and we wish them all the best) we felt that it would be better for both sides, and for the board, if we merged the ISA and RE to join together under one house.
Despite having already spent a few weeks working on the ISA we decided to accept the RE's offer to join both factions together, and therefore adapted our strategy. Our conversations included either one or the other joining the others faction, or creating a brand new faction altogether, with a new name etc. In the end we settled on creating TIC where we would consolidate both the ISA and RE into one (hopefully) major faction on the board.
We do not want to be thought of as copycats. However, there is a major faction on Chaos that has been around for a very long time now who has laid out a blueprint that we felt would be right to help create TIC. The Sith Order is one major faction that is comprised of three very distinct smaller factions which call themselves the Tsis'Kaar, the Eternalists, and the Kainite. These three groups are very distinct with each containing their own members, characters stories etc. but which each contribute and have subsequently created one distinct major faction on the board in the form of the SO.
In our conversations about what we would do with the ISA and RE it was suggested that we could accomplish something similar to the SO. Instead of us going on by ourselves, and facing down the possibility of never going major (an aspiration both the ISA and RE staff had), we elected to create, 'THE IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION' , of which both the ISA and RE would be considered joint members in a similar manner to how the SO has their three groups, and other, lesser known groups which operate among the Sith.
I want to be clear: TIC is not a Sith faction. While we have looked to how the SO operates and have taken inspiration in how they have incorporated their three distinct groups to create one major powerhouse on the board we are not a dark-side FU faction. We are distinctly Imperial and are considered to be the new successor to the EOTL moving forwards. Expect over the next coming weeks and months beats which tell the story of how two new Imperial Remnants came together to form a new powerhouse in the Galaxy while retaining their distinctive ideals, themes and characters to create an interesting political game housed here in TIC.
In story the ISA are the remnants of the EOTL whom survived the economic collapse of the Empire, and have consolidated their losses in the Calamari System as they plan a new course of action in the wake of such disaster. Meanwhile, the RE are remnants of the first, 'GALACTIC EMPIRE' which survived in the Unknown Regions until they were discovered by the ISA. Following negotiations both remnants decided to coalesce together to form, 'THE IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION' bound together by their shared ideals, and aspirations to bring justice, order and peace to a fractured Galaxy.
This concludes my summary of how TIC was formed and what it it. In every sense it is a confederation, currently consisting of two, distinct different Imperial Remnants who joined together to create TIC, and in that framework, our house is open for others applying to join it. In our conversations about forming the faction we also considered inviting other groups that have formed in recent weeks to join in and see if they would be interested in joining. We have decided to keep the door open for other interested parties who would also like to join our confederation, so if that takes your interest, then please reach out. If not then we wish you all the success on the board!
If you haven't joined our community Discord server yet then do so! This is the best way to get to know other writers in the faction and talk OOC when needed!
You can find an invite link to the server here.
With this explanation part of the news letter out of the way let's get into what else you can expect from TIC!

Staff Team:
- Karl Von Strauss and Selrik Lorcas are TIC's administrators at this time. With plans to later apply for major faction status in May we will announce our future MFO when the time is appropriate.
- Both
Vazela and Mellifluous Magenta are welcomed on as moderators to help bring the faction to fruition. Our girls will be bringing creative threads and stories to the faction as well!
- A Phoenix has been brought on as creative staff. We will help her out with bringing her stories and ideas to the faction for you all to participate in.
Staff would like to encourage everyone reading this to get in touch and ask us any questions you might have. We especially encourage you guys to bring forward your own thread ideas. Make the confederation your house as well and make it your own!

Community Spotlight

Court Martial
The Confederation's first Faction thread is live. A tribunal has been formed to try and prosecute a former spy in the EOTL who has been alleged to have been a member of the conspiracy ultimately responsible for the collapse of the Empire! Continuing, 'THE FIFTH WING' story which began in the EOTL, this latest chapter is one of the last in this storyline as we aim to bring it to a close over the next few weeks.
Someone was responsible for the collapse of the Empire, and after being nothing more than superstition, and hearsay for years among the Imperial elite, for the first time, a member of this seditious organisation has been uncovered in the wake of 'THE SARTINAYNIAN CRISIS'.
I would like to take this time to thank our friends from The Diarchy for the two amazing threads we hosted with them in January and February of this year. The threads we did on Bastion are among my favourite on the board and I am looking forward to telling more tales with you all with the beginning of the KAKUS STORYLINE that we have had in the works since the new year.
Stay tuned for more stories with our friends and in the meantime join us in the court martial!

The Sundering Dawn
Over the weekend I was contacted by the MFO of the SO to arrange a collaboration as he unveiled a site wide event on Chaos. On April 11th, 2025 this event will go live with further details but for now we have been given this teaser for the upcoming story. Expect galactic scale repercussions and a tumultuous time as our brand new fledging confederation has to deal with a new threat set to emerge in the Galaxy!
When this event goes live I will be hosting threads regarding the storyline so expect more stories and roleplay to participate in as we usher in the confederation on the board!
This brings us to the end of my first news letter for TIC. I expect to post one of these every couple of months but as you guys know there are always slow months on Chaos so it could be a little while until I post one of these again. In the meantime the best way to stay up to date with us and our roleplay is to join our Discord server. This is where our community all hangs out, plans out threads, and stories or hangs out. Please use this invite link to join our server today! -> [here]
Thank you for reading. ♥
