[SIZE=12pt]What remains of The Syphon is in ruin, which are located in Éadrom’s ocean of silver. Of unknown origin, The Syphon was once a series of linear metallic rings which sat upon a stone disk foundation secured to the sea floor and surrounded by natural peaks of rock which show evidence of wear of the ebb and flow of the metal oceans tidal patterns. [SIZE=12pt]The purpose of linear rings remains a mystery, no documentation survives (if there was any) of any investigations. However, legend has it that the rings were a portal of space travel and destroyed well before the Vong had arrived to decimate the planet of all its inhabitants. The Syphon did not attracted their attention, because the rings are not technologically operated. The Syphon is just another old ruin. Or is it? Only one ring remains intact. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]The old city now in ruin. The history of Áidrium started with much hardship, the peoples that lived her found life difficult, although they had access to water via an underground aqueduct feed from water basin deep within the lower layers of the planet, there was not much food. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]In these harsh times, many died, the weak the young succumbed to the conditions. As time passed, the residents of Áidrium found means to provide sustenance by hunting and gathering the local fauna and flora.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]The city was carved out of the rock in underground caves, well below the planets inhospitable surface, with local trade quarters and entertainment facilities life improved. [/SIZE]

There is very little documentation on record to give insight into the Ancients, only what one hears in Myth. Behind them they left the remains of their city and the Syphon. [SIZE=12pt]The Myth of Éadrom suggests the Ancients travelled to a galaxy far far away, but that could be anywhere, any galaxy and how they got there? There are many theories, but the one most used is that they transport through the rings, The Syphon. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]Eventually, Éadrom was graced with sentients once more. There arrival as mysterious as the Myths, but they suffered under the hardship of desolation and a lack of resources and many died. Those that survived began to eke out a living on what they could gather, water was in abundance however.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]The Vong arrived and although the people of Éadrom were no threat, they killed them all and once more Éadrom went to ruin. Once more Éadrom is lifeless …
