Name: 14th Precinct Conglomerate Private Police

Intent: Private police for the conglomerate stations within Hutt Empire space

Affiliation: Unknown Trade Conglomerate, Hutt Cartel

Availability: Uncommon

Quality: D

Type: Police Shock Troopers

Strength: 150

Description: The 14th Precinct was an extended group of dirty cops and deadbeats with no where else to go. The 14th was considered where cops go to look the other way and payed more with bribery. They act as customs officers and the law within the Hutt Cartel. Very few of the police officers of the 14th ever acturally do their job unless ordered by the Supreme Leader of the Hutts or the Viceroy of the Conglomerate. They rarely see combat and only ever assist with asserting the rule of the Hutts. They are the extended arm of the UTC, securing trade routes and ports for merchant ships to pass.

The 14th is armed with older models of the Conglomerates Weaponry and armor. Though they still use it to scare the local riffraff of the cartels territory, they don't interfere with local official law, but if asked they will respond to the Hutts Domos of they are requested. They are recruited like all conglomerate private police officers from the planet, Val'hala, but also from various regions the UTC base. To outsiders the UTC private police are the considered the only uniformed military presence within the Cartel to be seen as a threat. In reality though, the 14th is really just glorified customs officers and renta cops.

Strength does not mean total amount of soldiers.

Use this analogy: Availability is how many chips you have, strength is how much those chips are each worth. One unit from a submission is just one chip, availability determines how many of those units you have.

I'd suggest bringing it down to 150 maximum. I'd also like you to reduce availability to uncommon or provide rationale for why there's so many of them available. To my understanding you already have a few units subbed, a company really shouldn't have a huge army -- even if it's being supported by a major faction.

Otherwise everything else is solid.

The UTC builds space stations and ports and instead of using local police of customs officers, we negotiate the use of our own protection. It helps employ from our capital world of Val'hala and accounts for why we carry such a large amount of people. The planets population is estimated around 20 billion people.

Question about the reduction to Uncommon? Conglomerate Police are the most common ground and protection forces within the Conglomerate, this why I've listed them as common. So why would I need to lower it to uncommon if they are considered exspendable?

4. Only a Major Faction has the resources necessary to role-play having a large fleet, army, etc.
Now, I'm not using that above to try and limit you but essentially 'common' implies it's a large army of those guys.

Common availability is for large forces controlled by larger organizations.

You have three options here:
  1. Drop this to uncommon availability and I'll stamp it.
  2. Convince me that it makes sense for you to have such a large force. No promises.
  3. Do a 10 post development thread.

150 units
Please change this to just '150'. Again; strength = number of soldiers and availability = number of units available.

Let me know.

I'm still slightly confused about this strenght number. Are you telling me that 150 police officers in light armor and armed with light SMG are to police not just one station, but all stations and Ports within the Hutt Cartel Territory?

Or are just 150 police officer allowed to enter a dominion or invasion? In that case, these units are just for smaller RP just policing the territory and not well equipped for invasions.

Think of it akin to production-level in the factory. It doesn't specify how many there are, but it gives people a good idea of how many are out there. So if you have a common available unit, it gives you justification to use or reference them more in submissions, threads, and stuff.

It's all about accountability.

Ok, that makes more since.

Well the Conglomerate Private Police are just hired Renta Cops, they are replacing the Local Police within the Cartel territories. They are planned to become the Bruiser of the Cartel.

If that's not enough to justify them being common within the cartel, then I'll speak with the faction leader and take the 10 post.

Which is why it really doesn't make that much sense for me that they should be common availability. Especially if the Hutts already have bruisers in the form of heavy infantry.

But this also goes beyond that as it's affiliated with two organizations. I cannot accept your explanation as being enough rationale for why you need a common availability police force.

The reason for this is I am looking at canon sources of similar forces. Most planets have their own law enforcement agency, with the only canon examples of galactic law enforcement agencies being highly specialized or developed. I am just imagining tens of thousands of men being stationed across worlds, policing them. That is what common availability offers. If you want a law enforcement agency that has the influence and scale to be present on multiple worlds, then a dev thread is necessary.

Ten quality posts will be sufficient for what you're asking.

Please include ALL equipment in the linked thread in this one. A link to a faction thread is not acceptable because that can be changed at will without oversight.

Also, I suggest the quality would be D, please change this.
