- Cream of the Crop: The 183rd is considered an elite infantry unit, and as such the Stormtroopers sent to it there are usually those already with a good amount of experience, and a history of high performance and accomplishment.
- Jack of All Trades: Thanks to their mix of support weaponry and units, the 183rd is able to adapt to varying situations and combat complications.
- But Master of None: The 183rd has no particularly specialty, functioning as simply a highly-trained Infantry unit with more specialized support companies. They will be inherently worse in areas than units specialized in them.
- Genetic Divison: Thanks to being a unit that is almost 50/50 Fett Clones and regular Enlisted personnel, the Red Devils have a history of disagreements, infighting and segregation most commonly among the Officer Corps, which has led to accidental or deliberate miscommunication in the past.
- No Chaff to be seen: Due to the recruiting methods of the 183rd and their high performance standards, their unit can take a long time to reinforce with new members when compared to other Stormtrooper units.
- Description:
After the Battle of Tatooine, where their Commanding Officer was killed, the then-initiate Varik Ice took an interest in the 183rd. He regularly took command of one of their companies and noticed their attitude issues quickly; though he quickly sought to solve the disciplinary issue, he admired the backbone of the Stormtroopers to speak their mind openly when they had an issue with an order.
As he became a full Inquisitor, Varik assumed the role of commander for the 183rd Batallion, regularly taking them from their regular postings for training and Inquisitorial assignments. They have recently gained a reputation of being an Inquisitorus Unit, the drilling for the 183rd being harder than most units, particularly due to the attitude of the troopers in it. New recruits go through hell thanks to their comrades, to test their will and see if they have what it takes; after all, enemy force users would take advantage of the weak-willed sort.
Having been greatly improved thanks to their new figurehead that holds together their still tense relationship thanks to his animal magnetism, the 183rd have incorporated a White Stripe down their armour similar in colour to Ice's lightsaber; symbolising his effect on them.
