Name: 1st Mandalorian Volunteer Regiment

Description:
The 1st Mandalorian Volunteer Regiment is, in actuality, not a regiment in size. Numbering around the size of a over-strength company, they number roughly between 150 to 200 men in size from a wide variety of clans. Organization is typically Mandalorian with clan leaders occupying top leadership positions and various warriors taking up the support command slots. The unit was founded as a key unit for the Mandalorian Protectors and as a baseline for future units that may be founded later on.
The unit's equipment is also typically Mandalorian. The individuals often bring their own weaponry and equipment, though the Protectors do offer their armory to the unit when desired. Weapons vary from basic slug throwers to high powered disruptor rifles. Heavy weapons such as missile launchers or crew served weapons are not unusual and the more able hunters or bounty hunters often take up the roles of marksmen in the unit.
Crew served weapons are uncommon, though not unseen at times. Mortars and repeating blasters such as E-Webs are a recurring sight, though occasionally you may find a more exotic weapon that someone had "stashed away" for whatever reason. Vehicles are a rare sight as they are often not quite needed depending on the situation. Most vehicles are provided on an as needed basis by the Protectors, though, like the rarer heavy weapons, someone might just break out an old tank for "kicks and giggles" on occasion.
In short, the 1st Mandalorian Volunteers is an elite, dedicated unit specializing in shock and heavy infantry tactics with a wide array of weaponry and supply that is typical of most Mandalorian units. They are currently stationed, or soon to be stationed, at the planned Mandalorian Protector base at the northern pole of Mandalore.
