Impassable Hexes introduce a new Map Game mechanic which provide nigh invulnerable hexes to Major Faction Influence Clouds. Though rare, these impassable and nearly unobtainable hexes provide both obstructions and new strategies on the 2025 SWRP Galaxy Map.
And who knows? If there's a will, there's a way. Perhaps some new Mandates might shine light on how a faction could use these hexes, representative of uncontrollable galactic space, to their advantage...

IMPASSABLE HEXES
1. Impassable Hexes are faint red hexes with a dark red outline.
3. Impassable Hexes may not be gained to a Influence Cloud through ordinary means (PVP, PVE, Dominion, Junction, Invasion, etc.).
4. Impassable Hexes will not automatically be added to a Influence Cloud if surrounded.
5. Impassable Hexes can not be removed from the SWRP Galaxy Map by players or factions.
6. Impassable Hexes may appear or change randomly as determined by the SWRP Staff Team.
7. If an Impassable Hex is added to a Major Faction Influence Cloud through any means, it will be removed from the Major Faction Influence Cloud if surrounding non-Impassable Hexes no longer belong to a Major Faction Influence Cloud.
