  • Image Credit: Ram Symbol Medical Symbol [I also used paint.net to edit the images and combined them]
  • Role: To provide medical aid to wounded GADF soldiers and to provide any relief efforts if possible
  • Permissions: N/A
    [*]Links: Jessikal Skea

GENERAL INFORMATION

    • Unit Name: Benevolent Banthas
    • Affiliation: The Galactic Alliance, Jessikal Skea
    • Classification: Combat Medics/Medical Personnel
    • Description: Formed of exclusively Ariem volunteers, the 44th Combat Medic Company was among the first of a new wave recruits from Hosnian Prime. The reason for the exclusivity was to respect the Ariem's cultural aversion to violence but to still allow them to serve in the GA military if they wanted. This unit was personally supported by Senator Jessikal Skea who oftern serves as a reserve member of the 44th.
COMBAT INFORMATION:

    • Unit Size: Medium
    • Unit Availability: Uncommon
    • Unit Experience: Trained
    • Equipment:
      GACA-14 Nemean Armor
      Medpac
      Bacta Grenade
      Bacta Bomb
      Bacta Spray
      Bacta Mask
      GAHP-2 Roundhouse Pistol
    • Combat Function:
The 44th is meant to be the saving angels for any wounded Galactic Alliance soldier out on the field of battle. Trained in giving battlefield medicine, and setting up medical encampments, their duty is to ensure that every wounded soldier is treated so they can live to fight another day. The company is mostly attached to other regiments or battalions acting as the support for many more combat oriented groups.

The 44th are also tasked with relief efforts after a battle, many times the medics will scour the battlefield to collect the wounded or deceased so they can be returned back to friendly territory.
    • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): N/A
Strengths:

    • Where Does It Hurt?- This unit is equipped with various medical treatments and equipment to help keep soldiers alive on the front lines or at least stabilize them enough to be taken away for more advanced treatments.
    • Quick and Nimble- This unit is highly mobile, being able to traverse terrain quickly to keep up with other units, and to also get wounded out of the area of operations quickly.
    • One Flock- This is a closely knit unit, allowing for them to work together in unison and cohesion. Their bonds with each other are strong and firm.
Weaknesses:

    • Low Combat Potential- Despite being combat medics, the culture of the Ariem has indoctrinated them into a more pacifist stance. As such, the unit mainly only fires stun/ion rounds at enemies only switching to live fire as the last resort for survival.
    • Lost Little Lambs- This unit is formed out of the recently trained Ariem recruits. While they do have military training and have done simulations, live combat and war experience is nearly nonexistent.
    • All One Species- This unit is entirely made up of Ariem. While the Ariem are friendly, this does make it harder to assimilate and mesh well with other units that have more diverse people.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The 44th was formed out of the many Ariem volunteers from Hosnian Prime, mainly influenced by the likes of the planet's senator Jessikal Skea who served in the GADF and is now in the reserves. This was a show of loyalty and dedication by the Ariem people to the Galactic Alliance, as a means of thanks for allowing much of their people to be resettled onto Hosnian Prime. Respecting the Ariem culture of pacifism, th GADF created the 44th to be one of the newest combat medic groups for the Alliance.

Trained in various simulations and battlefield medical techniques, the 44th is ready to go out and save lives of their fellow GADF soldiers. Its the hope of this project that this will inspire more Ariem to join up as combat medics, rather than just technicans and engineers.
