+ High Caliber + The caliber lends itself to damage output creating a large wound cavity at high velocity.
+ Full Metal Jacket + A focused purpose tip, more useful for standard armors while still retaining shrapnel capabilities.
+ Maximum Range + Utilizing Alderinium as the propellant, the slug is capable of extended ranges and high speeds.
- Exterior Jacket - Designed for more standard grade armor materials, the full metal jacket may not sufficiently peel back when penetrating targets with little or no armor.
- Large - The caliber of the ammunition makes it unique, also creating issues with high capacity or simple storage from sheer size as well as supply.
- Falloff - Due to the mass of the projectile, effects of gravity, atmospheric conditions, etc. and so on, there is trajectory falloff beginning around 237 meters resulting in bullet stray.
The Full Metal Jacket .48 caliber round is designed for more sufficiently armored targets than Lead Round Nose(LRN). It has better chances penetrating armored targets as versus LRN ammunition while retaining some shrapnel effect as the round passes through armor. Based off of standard military cartridges, the cartridge is made of lighter steel in order to cut down on overall weight of collective rounds in a magazine.
