The concept of the A-13 Slugthrower was simple, Alister wanted a pistol with extreme firepower. Opting for a slugthrower over an energy-based pistol, mainly for the pistol's usage of projectile ammunition, the design he provided the mechanical and weapon engineers at Atech Manufacutirng was to his specific specifications.
The ranged weapon is large and heavy, so when used for bashing produces a nasty output of damage itself than can easily crush skull and facial bones. The weapon is limited in the ammo capacity, rate of fire, and has a high recoil; but its main purpose is the damage output. The damage from the slugthrower is devastating and deadly. With the three alloys chosen for the construction of the pistol: alusteel, turadium, and dallorian, the weapon is blessed with durability, cut-through prevention, and overheating from extended use.
