Another design of Barabian Systems' that had been left on the backburner, the A-400 is a modification on the A-300 Model blaster rifle, most commonly used centuries ago. After finding various productions of what is now essentially an antique rifle, researchers at Barabian decided they could improve upon the design and bring its capabilities to modern arms production.
Unlike many products from the company, the A-400 is not designed at all for civilian use or even law enforcement, made entirely with military use in mind. With this in mind, a stun setting was eschewed along with any variant that reduced fire-rate to become more acceptable for civilian usage. The A-400 is a highly lethal blaster, and with the recent expansion of Barabian Systems' efforts, has become much more available in the wider galaxy.

- Stopping Power: This weapon has quite low punch and penetration potential compared to some blaster rifles of its kind, and even its Marksman variant is lower grade than normal; to deal with heavy armour would require a lot of concentrated fire.
