A Bad Day To Crash-Land

Yvoth was pressed against his seat violently as the shuttle zoomed towards the forest planet. His golden hair waved back ferociously, his stomach churning as the vessel began spinning. There was mass panic within the enclosed space, several passengers screaming. But the Sith knew better than to start screaming in vain. He had to survive. Outside the crashing shuttle's window, the forest grew larger and larger, signifying that it was closer and closer. A bad sign for anyone who wanted to live. Yvoth spared no second thought, igniting his crimson lightsaber and using it to cut a hole wide enough for him to fit through. If he wanted to survive with minimal damage, the man would have to time this perfectly. Just before the ship impacted with the ground, the Sith leapt out the hole, using the force to augment his movement. He spun in the air, landing hard on the ground.

He was panting heavily. The impact of the fall was painful, but it was much better than what would have happened if he had remained in the ship. After regaining his breath, the human male stood up, using his sky-blue eyes to scan the surrounding area. For the most part, it seemed uninhabited, and quite peaceful (with the exception of the large wreckage behind Yvoth). It was a large forest, with towering trees and lush green grass, a sight which would make most Sith want to leave immediately. Yvoth, however, did not mind. He did, however, still want to leave.

But Yvoth was not completely alone even as he escaped the flying fireball over the forests of Midvinter as sole survivor, he was watched.

From between the trees, far away from the crash site a ranger clad in black robe, his face hidden behind a mask with a beak, would watch him from above his fateful mount. He was pulled towards the crash site like vulture to prey, something alerting him of it before he even saw the ship crash. Force was still unknown to him, his powers raw and untrained, but he did had a gift of the Force, of course to him it was little but gift of sorcery.

He was unsure of what he witnessed, it was what felt to him a giant being, of course it was the life signature of passengers on the shuttle just seeming like one huge being to him, came from sky clad in fire and wrecked destruction in the forest Doctor Yan tend to, and now there stood a man in front of the fiery beast, holding a crimson-red sword of fire and blood.

Doctor Yan nodded slightly to himself, dismounting his horse-like creature and patting its rear to get it to move away from him, the beast obeyed his command as Yan unslung the longbow on his back and notched an arrow.

The sky-daemons of fire were back, and he would deal with them.

Taking aim he pulled back the string of the bow, closing his eyes as he muttered a spell of seeing, letting it and very winds guide his arrow. Actually, he was just using Force sense to augment his accuracy.

And so he let his arrow fly, hopefully unseen by his opponent the projectile would zip across the forest in its parabollic arc.

He did not aimed at Yvoth's body though, instead the arrow would be shot at the hilt of his energy sword, aimed to disarm him.

Yvoth sensed danger through the force, an attack. His body wrenched itself into a turning motion, quickly jerkin towards the direction of the attack. The Sith's first instinct was to block with his own weapon, but upon seeing a solid projectile, he thought otherwise. He moved his body to the right, using the force to sway the object, which Yvoth discovered to be an arrow, ever so slightly to the opposite direction. He had been unable to see exactly where the attack came from, but anybody who used arrows to fight these days could not be that advanced, in terms of technology at least, which raised Yvoth's hopes up.

But arrogance would not help him. Preparation would. The sith stood his ground, his legs spread out, his lightsaber held firmly over his head. This was probably his most vital spot, and if the attacker did happen to have some sort of energy weapon, protecting it would be good.

Well the arrows didn't seemed to work, outside of that the ranger's choices were limited to stabbing something with a knife, and if that failed then slicing something with a sword.

So there was some other way he had to go with here, something smarter. Contemplating he took account of the sky daemon's stand, although it did not said to him much, besides knowing his opponent was prepared now, the ranger also counted how many torches he had in his pack, although he didn't exactly wanted to waste them as oil for the torches wasn't easy to come by, he may not have another choice in this situation.

And so in few seconds he has climbed one of the nearby trees, tying up one of his torches to the tree and took few of his arrows, tying up bits of old scarves on their shafts, just beneath the arrowheads.

Next, he would take out his horn, the one he used in the last invasion of Sky Daemons to warn nearby villagers. Putting the horn up to his lips he has blown the horn from the top of the tree,

BWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

And then taking his flint and steel he would light the torch, shouting out a random gibberish, trying to make it sound war-cry-ish as he blown his horn once more,

BWOOOOOOOOOOOOO-OOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The sound of his horn calls and "war cries" would echo and emanate through forest, the ranger counted on the sound bouncing around to make it seem like multiple voices. Anyway, putting the arrows up to the flame he would light them and notch the handful on his longbow, pulling the bowstring back he would launch multiple arrows at once in the Sith's direction, it would not be very accurate but it might seem like multiple archers hiding in the woods.

What the ranger tried to do was make his enemy misjudge the numbers and make a mistake.

And so, the process would repeat a few more times as Yan moved about the forest, jumping from tree to tree, lighting a torch, blowing his horn, and then launching a handful of arrows in Yvoth's direction. How long that would last depends on what was Yvoth's response to the maneuver.
