A bit of the Force on the side (Daichi)

Jason had settled in well at the temple, being assigned to a rather comfortable living space, despite sharing it with another student. His days since arrival had been spent memorising the temple's physical structure and it's main teachers.

On this particular day, he was on his way to the training grounds, when he noticed [member="Daichi"], who he heard was the only Master on site. His background was rather sketchy, something to do with the memories of a Sith, yet nonetheless he would be a great teacher.

Jason approached the Master, bowing respectfully before speaking. "Excuse me, Master Daichi? I was wondering if you'd be available to teach, I hear you're the best in the temple with the Force." A compliment, that was sure to get him to agree to teaching.

Daichi turned to the boy, blinking once. A slow tilt of the once emperors head was all [member="Jason Deroit"] would get before he turned, waving a hand. A datacron would float towards him, he opening it. Basics of unlocking the ability to feel the force, children learning.

"Ah, alright. I should of expected there would be those who would ask to learn from me. But, are you sure? There are.others without as sketchy of a past as I have."

"Your past is of no concern, in fact, it might be useful. The knowledge of a Sith Master, and more? Definately worth learning from." Jason nodded, smiling at [member="Daichi"]. He had also heard the man never used lightsabers, but it didn't bother him too much. It'd make a nice change to be practicing with the force for once. "I prefer combat with my lightsaber, so I'll need force abilities that help with that. What would you recommend?"

Daichi smiled, looking over his shoulder to [member="Jason Deroit"] . It was a kind smile, but his next words were not. "Be careful with that information. You put anyone here in danger. The Jedi will not be so understanding."

He closed the dstacron then, tossing it back to the shelf. "Speed, telepathy, strength, sense. All abilities you should begin on."

Jason nodded, it was true that the Jedi would come straight away if they knew anything of a Sith Master's memories. "Understood." He said confidently. "Strength sounds good. Would you be able to teach me that?" Having extra strength in his fights would definately help, as he only knew Telekinesis at the moment, and the very basics of jumping with the force...

"Force Augmentation. Speed, strength, even leaping are part of this. Learning one will make learning the rest that much easier. Are you prepared?"

Daichi moved, stepping towards the doors to the outside. If they were going to train, outside would be best.

"Always ready." Jason smirked, following [member="Daichi"] outside. Luckily for them, it wasn't raining outside, like it quite often did on Alderaan. "I'm surprised I never learned these things before. Damn Jedi training scheme..." He thought back to the limited training sessions on Coruscant. Never again...

[member="Jason Deroit"]

"Oi oi. Don't get it wrong. The Jedi teach in ways that work for them. They are not wrong, nor are they right. They are just a different lifestyle."

He stopped in the field, frowning. "But.. Enough of that. Show me what you can do."

"You have a point..." Jason stopped behind him in the field, his hand instinctively hovering over his holstered saber. "What I can do with the force you mean?" He asked, remembering this wouldn't be a session for his lightsaber. I really need to stop depending on it so much. Spotting a pile of rocks each the size of his fist, he reached out his hand and used the force to raise two of them. The other ones vibrated slightly, yet only one more raised an inch. "Like I said, force ain't my strong point..."

Daichi blinked, tilting his head. ".. Yes, I can see that. Not very impressive, but my job is to make you better after all." he waved a hand, sending a blast of the Force towards the boy, testing.

The blast shocked him, causing the rocks to drop to the ground uselessly. His hand went for his lightsaber, yet he refrained again from using it. No lightsabers. "How do you suppose I get better?" He asked, straightening his tunic from the blast.

[member="Daichi"]

"Can't say I've tried..." Jason shrugged, remembering the last time he tried a force power without training. I think the animals died... He set aside his thoughts, focusing on [member="Daichi"]. "Wait, if you counted leaping as augmentation, then yes. But... it feels different than what I thought Strength would be."

"Jumping is augmenting your legs to allow you to jump higher and farther than a normal jump. In a sense, it is exactly the same. Show me how you jump."

His arms folder over his chest st this point. Blocks of stone slowly began to float around him, each going higher then another. "Use these. They will show me how far you can jump."

Jason looked up at the stones, looking at them all in order. Gathering the force around his legs, he channeled it through them before finally jumping up, the force propelling him up to the first stone. He landed on it perfectly, then made a leap for the second one straight away, landing again only to keep jumping. Except, on the third stone, he only just managed to grab it with his hand, causing him to hang in the air. Swinging himself back and forth, he gathered the momentum to jump onto the third rock, taking a small break. "Yeah, jumping isn't my strong point either. Not bad at it though... right?"

[member="Jason Deroit"]

"Aye, better then I thought. But, stop thinking of it as an addition. Think of it as natural. Your mind is what limits you. Think on how high you can jump. A foot at most? That is what limits you. Believe you can jump to the clouds, and you will."

Jason looked up to the clouds. "That's a hell of a height to jump." He muttered to himself, finding it quite amusing. After a moment of self-appreciation, his attention returned to the lesson, specifically the highest rock. Employing the same technique as before, except this time believing in no limits, he jumped. He found himself higher than the last rock, yet when he started coming down, it was abit off-target. His hand stretched out, barely grabbing the side of the rock. "I made it!" He shouted, cheering himself on with his spare hand.

Jason landed softly on the ground, straightening out his tunic again. "Never again, Master." He nodded. Truelly he had learned something already, and they hadn't even got onto the main subject. Strength. That would be very handy in a fight.

Daichi nodded, grinning. He moved his hand again, this time creating a pillar of solid condensed rock. He set it before [member="Jason Deroit"] .

"Break that with just your fists. In one solid punch break that apart."
