Waverly Dane
The Bachelorette
Waverly normally had extensive amounts of energy when it came to shopping, but she was starting to get tired. It had been a long morning of visits to various textile artisans and fabric stores; it was a lot for her to take in. While Theed was one of her favorite places to shop, she was here on business this time, so things were different. After a period of reflection, Waverly had decided to open her own couture clothing company. This new business venture would surely give her more of a reason to get up in the morning, not that she didn’t enjoy sleeping in and waking up to an empty schedule… but it wasn’t the most fulfilling. She took a look behind her as she walked, her guard looked equally worn out, mostly due to the amount of bags and fabric rolls he had to tote. Waverly tried to give him an encouraging smile, but she felt that it was not the most convincing, as he merely looked at her with a blank expression.
Today she had chosen to dress a bit more casually than her normal glamorous attire; it was a day to take in the beauty of the city, not a day to necessarily stand out from the crowd. She had chosen a light, flowing chiffon skirt and a simple cotton blouse. Though, she still wore jewelry, makeup and a pair of strappy high heels… she would never step out in public sans her essentials. Waverly paused in front of a clothing store; she took a moment to check her reflection in the window and smoothed down her dark hair. She couldn’t help but notice that she looked a bit tired, and she knew it wasn’t just due to her busy day.
Recently she had entered into an agreement with Bright Star to film a reality show about her romantic life. Principal filming had already ended, the project was now being edited, but the air date was still undecided. Despite the fact that she loved to dress up and go out, recently it felt that dating was more of a chore. She wasn’t used to the strict schedule and string of dates lined up nearly every night. It had been unfortunate, as she hadn’t made a real connection with any of the men featured on the show. But she was sure it would still be entertaining enough.
“Just a few more shops, okay?” She asked, looking back at Kal for a moment. He nodded a few times, knowing that he didn’t have much of a choice in the matter; he went where ever she did. With slow steps she continued on, letting her attention fall upon each window display, trying to evaluate each one with a critical eye. She wanted to see as many shops as she could, just to get ideas... she had already spent enough for one day. Her dark gaze shifted slightly and the suited figure of a man caught her eye. She tilted her head to the side and thought for a moment, he was very familiar…
