A Blossom in the Desert

LOCATION: DRAGON SITH TEMPLE
PLANET: MYGEETO
SECTOR: BRAXANT SECTOR

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Sith Lord sat with his arms folded behind his back staring directly up to the jade statue of his son in front of him. The truth was that this was the last thing he had from his son, the last memory he had of a man Shaidin had sought to succeed him. For the moment only sorrow filled the void aura of the Sith Lord as he looked upon his son. The Jade clad armor and crested hilt on his side signified to those who were trained that this statue was at one time a Dragon Sith, but to those normally they may just see him as any other Sith.

An envoy ran inside as quickly as he could, his feet shuffling on the ground and making an obscene amount of noise interrupting the Sith Lords pity party for himself and his son. The envoy immediately bowed upon reaching the Lord of the Sith, he kept his head down waiting for the Lord to beckon his speech. The fiery crimson eyes darted to the side at the envoy before he waved his hand upwards in order for the Envoy to rise and speak.

"My Eternal Lord, more information on another Sith that may want to join the Imperium."

The Envoy in his tattered black robes passed a parcel of paper to the Sith Lord with information of another Sith Lord @Ra'a'mah . Depravious crumpled the paper and pulled out his datapad looking up any information the current Sith Empire had on her. He read over the dossier compiled by the Sith Empire before nodding and simply smiling.

"Bring her to me."

Location: Bast Castle, Vjun

The solitary lord was doing what she normally did in her home, research. Her personal quest was to gain knowledge about pretty much anything. With knowledge, she gained power. That wasn't what she was after though, however, they went hand in hand. Setting the item down she was looking at when Vincent walked through the door, a guest following him

He didn't provide a name for himself, but a summons from [member="Lord Depravious"]. It was name Ra was only familiar with, but she didn't know anything about him. The summons wasn't one she wanted to ignore and excused herself so she could gather up a few belongings to take with her. In her own home, she didn't normally have her weapons on her and that was the case this day.

Going to her room, she put on some clothes and gathered her weapons. Putting her hair back in its normal braid and attaching the ball at the end, she returning to the library and her guest. Nodding to him that she was ready, Ra followed him to the ship he had arrived in.

Climbing aboard, he lifted off Vjun and set his course for Mygeeto. From what Ra knew of that planet, it was quite similar to what she knew at Helska. An ice world, but it contained Kyber crystals that were used in lightsabers. There was also life there, Helska was lifeless. He brought the ship down and she was glad to have grabbed her cloak. Climbing off the ship, she followed him to meet with this new Lord.

The Sith Lord stood still - his arms folded behind his back his fiery crimson eyes watching the jade statue of his son. He was alerted not only through the force but by lesser envoys that his guest had arrived. The sorrow that was in his aura was immediately replaced by a cold fierce oppressive feeling as he began to walk to the doors to greet his new guest - who in her own right was also a Sith Lord.

The Massive doors to the temple of Dragon Sith swung open creaking in their weight as the stone slabs swung to the sides. Within the temple there lay only darkness, and shadows that seemed to creep from around corners, just out of sight. It seemed rather empty, as if Lord Depravious was the only person there; however, @Ra'a'mah could feel the presence of hundreds of Sith just beyond her reach and sight. As if the presence of ghosts existed inside of the temple.

Upon looking at her for a moment a small smirk formed on the side of the Sith Lords face. He rather fancied her she had the look of a warrior but from the dossier that he read she was a scholar before all else. Still the Sith Lord felt the need to reach out and touch the scar on her face - as if he could gain the same memory she had of what happened. Perhaps she could feel his desire to do so; however, he kept his hand at his side and merely looked down to the ground - taking a deep breath and collecting himself before speaking.

"Greetings Lord Ra , it is a pleasure to finally meet you."

Shaidin said as he stepped slightly to the side gesturing for her to enter. As she would enter the doors would slowly close shut behind her, the massive stone slabs slamming shut eventually and the room was once again filled with darkness. Torches were light up along the walls to each of their sides and massive Jade statues of several of Depravious's ancestors lined the walls.

"From your Dossier you are a scholar are you not? How far does the extent of your knowledge stretch? Does it stretch to the confines of Dragon Sith lore?"

The smirk once again rose to his face as he awaited her answer and began to walk slowly deeper into the halls.

Taking in the dark beauty of the Temple that was in front of her, she felt a sense that she belonged here. The color of the stone and jade mixed with the darkness gave it a forbidding appearance that might strike fear into some. Not her though, like a dark embrace that wanted her, she entered at the bidding of the man that stood waiting for her.

She could almost sense the presence of more, but there was silence here until he spoke. He stood half a foot taller than she, had dark hair and eyes. For a moment only, her breath caught at looking at him. He greeted her with politeness though he looked to the ground. He was the one that summoned her here, but yet he wouldn't meet her eyes at first. As she entered, the doors closed behind her.

"Lord Depravious, it is my pleasure as well."

Including a slight nod with her words. He appeared to know more about her than she did him and he displayed this knowledge. In asking if she knew anything about the Dragon Sith, she knew nothing.

"No, my Lord. Sadly I know nothing about the Dragon Sith, but my interest is indeed perked."

That wasn't all she was interested in knowing about, but him as well. He felt oppressive, but was this the real Depravious or a façade? What was he like under what he projected? In time, Ra would know.

After the doors shut, he would move and start walking deeper into the temple. Falling into step beside him as she answered.

They slowly began to make their way through the shadowed halls of the Dragon Sith Imperium. The Fiery crimson eyes of Shaidin Kamari now drifted to the side at his new guest as they walked. Finally they came into a massive circular room with Jade Statues now lining the wall as if it were an almost shrine. The azure blue light from the icy world shone into the room from the domed cieling above. The Jade glimmered in the light of the room and inscriptions could now be seen on some of the statues; though they seemed to be in an unknown tongue to all who were not apart of the Dragon Sith Order.

"Indeed my Lady, the Dragon Sith have peaked the interest of many over the years; yet few have come to learn of them truly and those few stand in these halls before you."

He said with his hand now gesturing to the jade statues, giving off the idea that most if not all of them were dead at this time and immortalized in the jade statues that stood before them. Overhead, there were two massive dragon carvings in the stone of the dome shaped ceiling that cast their foreboding gaze down into the room.

"The ways of old have long passed the current Sith Order and the tarnished mantle of Dark Lord has erased our very existence for eons now, for we are the weakness of the iteration of Sith you know today. We are true warriors in whatever task we set in front of ourselves. Whether that is to be a scholar." He mildly gestured to the woman in front of him. "Or even perhaps an actual warrior such as myself. We dedicate our entire heart and being into whatever it is we see ourselves. This is something that not a lot of Sith understand or do."

Depravious found himself now staring directly at her own yellow-hue'd eyes and for a moment he felt himself caught in a space and time that existed outside of the current realm of Chaos they both existed in. He quickly snapped out of it trying to keep his composure for his new guest.

"I have stored all of the information of the Dragon Sith here in our library deep under the ground. I must say your beauty astonishes me, so I will let you have access to it - but be warned the Dragon Sith feel deeper then any other species of Sith have ever felt with emotions. And many of the texts you will read will seem incomprehensible to you because our native tongue is known only to those who are considered Dragon Sith."

They walked for a time through the apparently empty halls of the temple. That feeling of others around, clung to the air, but she saw nobody else. As they walked, he would glance over at her for a time and she felt this. Not wanting to show too much of her own curiosity of him or the fact his visage caused her breath to catch. This was something new to her and she couldn't place what she felt for him that would cause such a thing. Attraction was certain, but was there anything else beyond that and her curiosity?

He guided them to a circular room that had more jade statues around it. Knowing she craved knowledge, he had brought her here to tell her of Dragon Sith. The script on the statues was nothing she had seen before and her eyes glanced over them before they returned to rest on her guide.

"You value honor."

In saying the Dragon Sith were a weakness to the sith felt wrong to her. In a way, she could understand why he would say it. It struck her that they may have that honor in common. While she was not a Dragon Sith, he would allow her access to the texts of them.

"My Lord, I may was knowledge above everything, but I too can be a warrior when needed."

It wasn't something she went after though, the call of war was not meant for her. However, when the need was there for her to be in battle, she would do what needed to be done. His comment about her beauty caught her breath again. She wasn't the only one to feel the attraction. Attempting to put her thoughts into words, she struggled for a sense of control for a moment.

"What do you feel deeper than other sith?"

She had never been one to touch some emotions. Love was one of them, it was foreign to her. A weakness she thought that could be exploited by enemies. There was no love between them yet, but a foundation of attraction was present. It could only grow from here.

[member="Lord Depravious"]

He watched her very carefully for a few moments before continuing.

"Emotion, hate, rage, sadness, anger." The Sith Lord began to ramble on about all of the emotions that they felt deeply - deeper even then most Sith. He slowly approached the woman in front of him - he grew closer to her and closer until finally he could not draw any closer without knocking the woman over. "Love, passion, lust." He continued his voice was rather smooth and came off like a purr as he drew closer to her - though in his aura the hint of sadness remained from before she arrived.

The Sith Lord stood in front of her for a moment, his very breathing seemed heavy for that brief moment that he stood this close. Finally he turned away, the cloak that hung off of his armor swung around as well as he took another few steps forward.

"The knowledge of a once thriving Empire, and burning Dynasty are yours for the taking.. But yet it lies just out of your reach if you can't read the inscriptions on these statues, you will be able to read none of our texts."

After Ra spoke, he caressed her with his watching gaze. The first part of his answer was what she expected from a fellow sith. As he drew near to her, she took in a breath through her nose. The sensation of his proximity and his natural aroma of pheromones filled her senses. All emotions were felt on a far deeper level by him. His voice a smooth purr filling her ears and mind.

His originally oppressive aura now contained a hint of sadness. The moment he stood in front of her was actually rather exhilarating. Ra was not one to step over boundaries and she didn't know what his were. If she went with what she wanted to do, then they would have kissed. This totally surprised her, but now she could no longer deny that she did feel lust for him. It had been spoken in the moments before he was in front of her.

The moment broke when he turned around and spoke. The spell she felt weaving through her may not be ready to go off, but a day would come where it would. He offered the knowledge of his empire, but as of yet it was untouchable by her. Until she could read what was written on the statues.

"What must I do to gain this knowledge?"

He had walked away from her a few steps, now she closed that distance again and stood at his shoulder. Looking up at him, she waited on his answer and action.

[member="Lord Depravious"]

The Sith Lord waited with baited breath as she approached him and he slightly turned his head to Lady Ra. A small smirk formed on the side of his face as she had done exactly what he wanted her to; however, at the same time he had done exactly what she wanted to and in turn would give her all of his knowledge if even only for a single glimpse of her again.

"Have you ever met someone that you seemingly instantly had a connection to? It wasn't something you could describe or explain you simply held a deep connection to them that was outside of yours or anyone's realm of comprehension?"

His voice once again fell to a low purr as she hung off of his shoulder.

"That is what the Dragon Sith are, through many rituals and bindings we become connected to each other through deeper connections than any other species or faction could ever imagine."

He realized how close she was to him, but decided to turn on his heel anyways, and was now facing her. They were nearly face to face and the feeling and sensation of lust between the two spiked to an obscene level as he once again spoke.

"Imagine having a connection with someone that is so deep, and so pure in nature that no matter where you are, or where they are you are still always together deeply entrenched in their life as they are in yours."

He paused for a moment, having realized that he didn't answer her question yet. How? Exactly would she learn to read the runes of the old Sith language, how exactly would she earn such a right that many had sought after and many had died trying for - there was always a test, and a test within a test.

"I can either go through the pain staking process of teaching you our native tongue word by word - or I can initiate you through a right of ceremony that will give you the ability to understand and speak our language. Both of these must be earned though, as a Sith you must understand that things are give and take, you may take knowledge but first you must give. What is it that matters most to you?"

She had his attention as she moved closer to stand at his shoulder. His head turned slightly to watch her. In a way, she felt like they were playing cat and mouse...which was the cat and which was the mouse? He asked if she had met anybody she felt she had an instant connection with. For the moment, she was at a loss of words as he continued on to explain what it was like to be a Dragon Sith. To instinctually know where the other was.

When he turned to face her, the sensation between them spiked again and Ra had to blink her eyes. The focus it took to even breath was immense and with what felt like her heart in her throat it was difficult to accomplish. What he felt, she couldn't tell, but she had no doubt he would easily pick up what was inside of her. At this point, she felt that if he asked anything of her, she would comply. The desire to please him came to her and she didn't push it away.

"I would love to have that type of connection, my Lord."

He then stated the secret to learning that language was one that needed to be earned and then asked what mattered to her the most. Still standing face to face, Ra looked up at him as she answered. It was a very simple one.

"My freedom."

[member="Lord Depravious"]

He smiled gently now as he listened to her answers. She couldn't have said anything else that would have fed into the man more. Especially when he heard her say 'My freedom.' He could indeed feel what was being stirred up inside her, but Depravious was used to these types of connections - though he had not felt this type of connection in a very long time so in a sense it provided some form of novelty to him.

"My dear Lady Ra, to be a Dragon Sith is to give up your freedom. But not in the way you would think, it is a mutual thing. While you give up your freedom for them, for me, they and I also do the same for you. It is a moment where your destines are forever intertwined and will forever be connected to one another."

He knew the price of the ceremony of blood though, it was a price that was not paid lightly, and it was something that after many years of studying in the Dragon Sith that he himself underwent with his master and brothers at his side. While the benefits had already been stated, there were severe consequences to such a ceremony as well. When for example a member of the Dragon Sith was lost the loss and sacrifice was felt through out the order and Imperium and felt deeply by all.

"Is giving away that freedom something you truly desire?"

He was blunt now and to the point, a part of him almost wanted to force her into doing so not only because he was desperate for members at this point and to get his empire off of the ground but also because in a sense he was desperate for her.

His face softened as she spoke and he smiled down at her. The freedom she would lose wasn't what most would have thought as he pointed out. It wasn't a physical freedom, but one more of the soul. To be bound in such a way to anybody wouldn't take away any of her personal freedoms.

All this time, facing one another, her breathing was still not normal. Her heart remained in her throat. He might be used to something like this, the primal and natural connection, she wasn't. This was new to her and something she wanted to explore further. Looking up at him, Ra lifted her chin ever so slightly. Her eyes an open display of she was feeling and of her desire. Both that for him and for what he offered.

"Yes."

One word and Ra felt like her fate had been decided.

[member="Lord Depravious"]

Depravious heard her answer and yet again, another soft smile formed on his face. She seemed entirely willing to do as he wished, all he needed was to will it and she would want to do it. But, he knew as is the nature of Sith he had something that she also desired and it seemed that she would give away everything in order to attain that.

In a singular moment destinies are shaped, in that single moment the future and present can change with the snap of a finger. In this single moment Depravious leaned in and stole a kiss from her lips. For a moment he softly pressed his own lips into hers before he leaned away from her - his crimson eyes narrowed on her own now before he spoke.

"Remember how that felt, in that moment exactly how your body felt. And then after we're done, tell me what's different."

He turned on his heel once more, and began walking deeper into the temple, soon enough they came to a set of stairs and the Sith Lord slowly descended into Darkness. The feeling of darkness began to grow as Ra'a'mah grew closer to the ceremonial chamber of the Dragon Sith. As she entered the chamber, darkness swirled around her and the Sith Lord, there was almost a light hum in the background as if ancient powers were still working here.

The Sith Lord sullenly walked into the center of the ceremony circle, and withdrew a small dagger. At the bottom of the hilt was a bright red fiery gem that seemed to have a luminous glow that looked as if it were alive. The feeling of Darkness in the room seemed to grow as he withdrew the dagger, and the runes below their feed began to shine a bright green - almost sickly color, providing a slight bit of light in the room.

"After this we will be bound together, and you will understand all of me, as I will understand all of you."

Ra felt she was making it too easy on him, but she knew it was meant to be. Why should she fight what she felt was right? She had no need to fight that and gave into it. His soft smile again at her words again made her breath catch. What he offered, she couldn't resist. Weak as these Dragon Sith were thought to be, she felt she belonged with them...with him.

With her head tilted up to look at him, he bent down and kissed her. Lingering there a mere moment. The immediate heat, their touching and it was over. What she felt couldn't be put into words or coherent thoughts. His words broke through to her and their eyes met after. A simple nod was all she could accomplish.

Turning away from her again, he lead her further into the temple to a flight of stairs that went down deeper. Walking with him at his shoulder, she felt the darkness around them. More than physical darkness was here, there was power hidden with this. They entered a ceremonial chamber and here the dark power was stronger. It was almost as if she could touch it.

He then left her side and walked to the center of the room. Drawing out a dagger with a red glowing gem set in the pommel. As he drew the blade, runes on the floor glowed with an ill green hue. Giving off a slight light, she was able to see Depravious within the glow. His words sent a small shiver through her, but she held no fear. Him saying they would understand all of each other gave her another sense of curiosity.

"What do you need me to, my Lord?"

[member="Lord Depravious"]

The Sith Lord held the dagger in his hands, and slowly brought it up center fold to his chest, the blade facing down and the pommel facing upwards now. His eyes scanned over the woman for a moment to make sure that this was the final decision that she so desired - and while she may have thought that Dragon Sith were weaker than normal Sith she would soon learn just how wrong that assumption was.

"This next part will not be comfortable, but you have to be accepting of the powers and the blade as they enter you."

The Sith Lord took another calculated step forwards, the blade now coming to rest at his side in his right arm as his eyes fell down to her stomach region.

"The moment you reject any of it, it will tear you apart from the inside until you are no more - those who seek our powers and decide they do not want them are not worthy, and as such are put to death."

This time he didn't even give her a moment to think before he stepped forward and in a strong thrust forwards the dagger sunk into her midsection. In an instant her body was filled with extraordinary amounts of power and emotions. Eons of rage and sadness filled the vessel of her body, the emotions of all of the Dragon Sith over centuries flooded into her mind and body. The memories of their people, the atrocities of the civil war, and the desecration of their temples by those who now call themselves 'Sith' all flooded directly into her frontal cortex.

Power swirled around the room, arcane energies sparked around both of their bodies, and the Sith Lord watched as the gem in the pommel of the hilt began to radiate magnificent shades of red hues. The Spirits that were once in the temple, but just out of sight for her suddenly came into her view, many of the Dragon Sith of old, Osamu Kensei, Kaestyl Kamari, Jin Osanu, Vyr Lionheart, and many others all appeared around the circle and watched on with their fiery eyes as the woman was inducted into the Dragon Sith.

In a singular moment it seemed as though everything had stopped, the powers that twisted and turned around them ceased to be - but inside of her nothing had stopped, the memories of the Dragon Sith continued to be ever expanding within her the powers and languages that were once locked away from here became known to her. The only thing left standing in the room was Lord Depravious, as the green runes below his feet slowly faded once the ritual was completed.

Ra watched his actions, how he held the blade, the way he moved, it was all done with purpose. He looked to her and she stood her ground, feeling she was ready for what he was going to do. His spoken words, both advice and a warning. Moving closer, he changed how he held the blade and then stabbed her in the stomach.

If she could have stopped him, she wouldn't have. Knowing she would have to accept the blade as part of this. Her last personal coherent thought was something similar to, 'another scar to add to the few I already have', after that there was no thought for her.

Everything hit her at once, the sensations in her mind and the power of the ages flowing into her. All the combined memories of the Dragon Sith thrust into her with a single stab. Oblivious to anything outside of this, Ra most likely fell to the floor. She could see around her, the spirits of the past. Their spectral eyes boring into her, ascertaining if she was worthy. Judgement of her passed and everything faded into darkness. That knowledge remained though, implanted in her mind, never to be forgotten.

Waking as if from a dream, Ra looked up at Lord Depravious with new eyes. She knew exactly what he was now and how he had got here. His own past an open book to her along with all the other Dragon Sith. In his turn, he knew her far better than anybody else ever could. How she thought love was a myth and nothing that would happen to her. The fact that she felt alone in the vast galaxy. Her memories from her childhood, to when her master had died, becoming a lord at his death. Then her memory loss, waking up on Coruscant in an orphanage. All the minute details of her life and her powers he could read as easily as she could him.

[member="Lord Depravious"]

As she looked up to him the Sith Lord had a feint smile on his face, though to her she would know that it was hollow and could see in side the sorrow that he held for the situation. The dagger that had been stabbed into her had all but disappeared inside of her, and the red gem that was held in the pommel of the hilt now lay on the floor. It seemed to have a moving essence in the center of it and the Sith Lord picked up the gem from the ground, he held it in the center of his hand before he finally reached his hand out to the woman in front of him to help her from the ground.

"This Gem, is your life force now - the vessel that you inhabit currently can be destroyed over and over again but your heart your soul now reside within this gem - and you can not be destroyed until this gem has been destroyed. All Dragon Sith have something like this and protect it with fierce resolve."

The Sith Lord carefully placed the gem in her hand and softly wrapped her fingers around it with her own hand. At this point Ra'a'mah should have remembered what Depravious had told her before he took her into the chamber after kissing her. Every single person has a connection to one another through the living force; however, these two now held a connection more in-depth then almost any other beings in the galaxy. It wasn't that they could necessarily read each others thoughts, but more of they knew what the other one would be thinking - but due to each of them maintaining their individuality things like anxiety and doubt could cloud their minds and keep them from realizing they were right about the other.

In that moment Shaidin ran his hand down the side of her face and into the hair behind her right ear. His touch wasn't firm though or rough, it was extremely gentle, especially for a titan such as himself this could catch most off guard, but to her the touch would send sensations and connections through out her body due to the ceremony just performed - memories flooded through her mind of his past more, of his emotions. And he once again, planted another soft kiss directly on her lips.

Due to having such a connection every emotion a person would normally feel in this instance would be magnified ten fold, as if she could feel not only her own emotions but also his at the exact same time creating a trifecta of feeling.

Ra looked up at him and knew the smile was more sorrowful and hollow than anything else. He bent over and picked up the gem that had been at the end of pommel of the knife he had stabbed her with. That knife was now within her and would be there for eternity she felt. Standing back up, he held his other hand out to assist her to her feet.

In his hand rested that gem and what he said next made sense. Part of her was within that gem and only when it was destroyed would she die. A blessing and a curse. Already plotting on where she could safely keep it, he handed it to her. His hand encompassing hers as he closed her fingers around the jewel. At the touch, the sensation that was on her skin was stronger than she had felt before.

His hand then went to caress the side of her face and flowed gently to the hair behind her ear. He had requested her to remember how she felt at the moment of their kiss before. She already could feel the difference between the then her and what she was now. Her own emotions had been a small pool compared to what she felt now.

Again no words were there to describe what she felt, but it was stronger. The shared connection enhanced between the two of them. This second kiss was so much more. Her heart raced and her eyes closed. The sensation far greater than she could have anticipated. A shiver went through her. This kiss lingered on though. Not just a simple kiss, while it was gentle and lingered. They both had a hunger. This was entirely new to Ra and nothing like she had ever felt before.

She did what felt natural though and leaned up again Depravious. Her body shivering under his touch.

[member="Lord Depravious"]

Shaidin could feel her leaning into him, and in turn he did the same leaning into her. There definitely was a hunger between the two that neither could seem to place their finger on exactly what it was. This hunger, this feeling though wasn't new to Depravious as he had felt it all before - though it had been quite some time so for a moment, while the kiss lingered he was lost and entranced within it.

Finally, after a long moment he leaned out from the kiss. Every single bone in his body wanted to lean back in especially with her pressed up against him he nearly couldn't help himself but he knew that while she had followed through with her side of things it was his turn to follow through with his side of the bargain.

"You now have full access to our libraries and you may spend as much time here as you need. By the way, even though this information is privy to you, my actual name is Shaidin Kamari."

The room was entirely pitch black now though with the runes below them having faded and even the light of the gem suppressed by her hand covering it you couldn't see two inches in front of your face; however, they could both feel each other not only through their connection but because their bodies were pressed into one another. Shaidin simply couldn't help himself and leaned in wrapping his arms around her and tugging her tightly into his body as he planted yet another kiss on her lips.

Ra felt as he leaned into her and the kiss lingered. The primal base emotions screamed for release. Now was not the time for that though. Breaking the kiss, but remaining in physical contact, he said the knowledge was hers and she could stay as long as she needed. Thus holding up his end of the bargain.

With their soul's now bound, he would know how much she valued honor and trust. When he told her his name, it would be kept between the two of them. Outside of times when they were alone, she would call him by his Lord name. A question needed to be answered first.

"What would have me call you? I am only Ra'a'mah Numare. Just Ra normally. I have never been granted a Lord name."

That may or may not change now, but it didn't really matter to her.

The room had resumed its previous darkness, the only light was in her hand, but they did not need any. Their bodies still in contact, he then embraced her fully and kissed her again. This time, she returned it. Everything within her was felt by him and what was in him she felt. There was nothing like it and nothing would ever be the same again.
