The Whistler
After an eventful night, Aiden woke up even before the first rays of sunlight slipped through the windows of his apartment. Off-duty or not, he followed the sleeping schedule of a soldier, which meant rising early to start the day. So after quietly slipping out of bed, he put on some pants and socks and let Kara sleep a little longer while he'd prepare some breakfast for them both. Of course, not putting on a shirt was completely intentional.
Finally, as the light of the sun began to shine through and inevitably woke up the woman sleeping in his bed, Aiden stepped back into the bedroom with quite a fancy breakfast. Eggs, bacon, freshly made juice — it looked and smelled delicious.
"Good morning," he said with a smile as he set the mini-table on the bed. She could place it over her legs and remain comfortably in bed while she ate, all without the risk of spilling.
"How did you sleep?"
