Private A Career Of Evil

Darth Argentum's new office was a far cry from his previous one. For one thing, it was located within a warehouse in Theed City as opposed to a bank. It was a rather spartan affair unlike it's predecessor. It's location was also far less desirable being by the space ports of Naboo.

The building itself was prefabricated and bore no markings. Only small lettering on the main entrance declared it to be 'Obsidian Imports & Exports'. It was of no use to advertise. After all, it was just a shell.

Nothing to see here. And few enough paid it any mind. That was exactly why he'd purchased the structure without even bothering to haggle. The Muun needed a base of operations. This place was exactly what he wanted.

His real business was not of the legal sort. Upon his arrival on Naboo, he'd sought the drugs pushers. With a little...persuasion, he'd found the next link up in the chain. He'd followed it until he reached the source.

A local kingpin had only been too willing to cooperate, cutting his new Muun partner in on the profits. It was, as Argentum had said with a malicious grin, only fair as honest citizens of this world paid their taxes. He'd also driven the human's hired goons into frenzied madness, using his Dark sorcery to conjure up their most horrible nightmares in the mind's eye.

Now he spoke to the man via holoprojector, the cowl of his dark cloak drawn low.

"Make certain your men are careful. We cannot afford to draw the attention of the Order again," he growled.

"Ah...yes, my Lord....I've made sure that it won't happen again...."

The once cocky human, so full of himself, had a certain amount of raw terror in his eyes. You didn't forget watching men claw out their own eyes....

Lirka Ka Lirka Ka

It had been too long since Lirka had step foot in Confederate space: and she hated it, this place oozed weakness, it was an aura that tainted everything they touched and warped. But there was profit to be had, plans and schemes to form within their relentless expanse: the weaklings she once dubbed master wouldn't be able to have their eyes fall upon everything, all she needed to do was slip into the cracks.

And Lirka was great at slipping through the cracks.

She hadn't tried anything fancy, simply hiding away in a cargo transport as it entered Naboo: she had her target, "Obsidian Imports", the name was enough to make her want to laugh. Few things could skirt the watchful eyes of the Sephi, and something that obvious most certainly could not. The crate arrived in the prefab with a thud, she waited for a time, and as the sounds of dying men wracked and broken reached her ears: the doors to the crate burst open, the massive armored form of Lirka throwing them off like they were rotted wood.

Any who tried to stop her, whoever was left to, was quickly introduced to her blade: bloody business, but she hadn't considered announcing her arrival in any less dramatic way. The door to the kingpin's office slid open, the towering form of Lirka stepping inside, a low hum coming from the blank-faced helmet: some sort of laugh maybe?

"So this is how they make the rabble bend the knee these days? How wasteful."

And of course, it wouldn't be a proper Lirka-introduction without an insult.

Argentum heard the violence below amid his holocall. He scowled, turning his head towards the source of the disturbance, What was happening? Had another gang foolishly tried to make a move or was it the Obsidian Order.

He silenced the human on the other end with a gesture.

"You have your orders."

With that he stabbed the 'end' button. Then the Muun summoned his lightsaber to hand from it's hiding spot. From there he waited for whoever it was. Yet who entered was nothing like what he'd expected.

It was monstorous and it was....not there. It had no presence in the Force somehow. Was it some Dark Side trickery? He thrust out a palm, intending to send a blast of Force energy to knock it back.

Nothing happened. He blinked in utter confusion but gathered himself quickly enough. He activated his weapon, it's crimson blade coming to life as he took up a guard. It would be impossible to miss the blood-stained weapons in the monster's fists.

"What are you?," he demanded with narrowed glowing yellow eyes "Why have you come?"

Lirka Ka Lirka Ka

Sith. Such a simple sort, mewling cultists that had given themselves over to the Force in exchange for what, powers that would only serve as their crutch? A new weakness that would simply blossom till it consumed them? They disgusted her. But sometimes, personal biases couldn't get in the way of progress and profit.

With a flick of her weapon, the crimson blood splattered to the floor: Lirka let the weapon go lax at her side, a sign of good faith and her less-than-murderous intents.

"What am I? Such an interesting question. I am a monster, that has crawled from the depths of the beyond, born from fires of strife and murder, a dark benefactor for one such as you: and for now, you may simply call me Abyss."

Lirka took another step forward, with all the melodramatic flourish that could ignite a groan from even the most patient of souls.

"I have seen what you have made here, meager as it is: but I know your kind, you don't wish to just be another rat in the swarm."

The beastly creature grinned beneath her helmet, now, it was time for the pitch.

Argentum rolled his eyes in spite of himself. This thing might be trying to kill him but...

"How...dramatic," he said over his blade "All this grand talk of abyss, monsters and darkness."

He studied the intruder before finally deactivating his weapon. But he didn't put it away. The Muun made a special point of this. Just a reminder that it's own death might be seconds away.

"You're dead within the Force," he remarked as he shook his head "Strange. But your playacting bores me, who or whatever you are."

"Don't waste my time with insults and melodrama. Why have you come here?"

So few in the Galaxy could respect the flourish of a proper entry, it was truly such a shame. But Lirka had already confirmed it time and time again the younger sorts in the Galaxy lacked the proper enjoyment of such finery: it was fortunate she did not require someone with such tastes for what was to come.

"The Force abandoned me, in disgust for what I had become once pulled from the jaws of death."

A little bit of history didn't hurt, even if Lirka was keeping her anonymity to it's near maximum this time around.

"It's quite simple, unfortunately: the Galaxy grows in turmoil, peace becoming a more distant illusion than it ever was. I have seen opportunity in such chaos. The Crimson Dawn rises, and I offer you, and your people, a place within it's rise. You have shown equal parts ingenuity and tenacity, and we shall need much of both in what is to come."

She paused, giving Darth Argentum Darth Argentum something close to a nod.

"That is, if you will accept my offer, of course.
