A Change in Leadership [IC/OOC]

A holo-recording is activated on all open channels across Silver Jedi space. Its blue light depicts the lone figure of Jedi Master Thurion Heavenshield standing tall with hands clasped behind his back. He is dressed in his finest robes with whites and earthly tones combined in flawless fashion.

"Greetings", the hologram says. "My name is Thurion Heavenshield. I won't presume you know me or even that you've heard of me - that's not me. Those who do know me, however, will know I do not relish standing in the spotlight. I reserve that honour to those who deserve such."

Hands now clasped simliarly together in front of him, he continues. "If you're seeing this recording, then you have either already heard the devastating news, or I will be the one to inform you now." He pauses due to slight hesitation. "The Grandmaster is no more. Master E'ron has become one with the Living Force, and she now watches over us all just like so many heroes and legends of the past."

"Iella was my friend. She and I shared many views and philosophies about life and what it means to be a Jedi. Her loss will be mourned and her spirit held in memory. Every member of the Order has her to thank for its existence. I will remember her as the mother of us all, who never gave into fear or frustration. Her will was strong in life, and only outdone by her kindness."

His head inclined slightly as if in mourning, he resumes his stoic stance shortly after. "With Master E'ron gone, it has been decided that I assume her position as Grandmaster of the Order of the Silver Jedi. It is with heavy heart that I accept this responsibility with hopes that I will not let you down. I have always thought of you all as family - brothers, sisters, sons and daughters - and I aim to keep my family safe from whatever threats lurks in our vast galaxy. But I do not presume to do so alone."

"As of today, Jedi Master [member="Coci Sinopi"] will serve as the Master of the Order, and together we will help guide our Order into the foreseeable future, whatever it may hold. Master E'ron's teachings will live on through us. All of us." He smiles and extends his hand towards the viewer, palm facing the heavens. "Will you join us?"

OOC:

Hello, everyone!

As of today I have assumed leadership of the faction, including its ownership with [member="Iella E'ron"]'s blessing. She deserves every kind word for her dedication to the faction and its members.

I have no presumptions of outdoing her in terms of leadership skills or faction maintenance. I can only hope to live up to the extremely high standard she displayed throughout her time as faction leader. I promise to stay true to our ideals and keep us as thightly-knit as we already are, and I will hold every suggestion given by our memberbase equal to any other.

The faction ownership may state my name, but this faction belongs to all of us. I would very much like it if we could involve everyone as much as possible, be it a discussion or a faction role-play.

Finally, I wish to extend my gratitude to all those who wished to see me fill the quite large shoes of my predecessor (comfy, though). I have nothing but love for all of you.

That's it for now. Stay tuned for any updates, and feel free to reply to this either IC, OOC or both!

Thurion

She had felt the passing of Master E'ron through the force. Although they had never become friends, Coci and she had worked closely with the duty of a Master of the Shadows. This is a sad day, but with a passing comes change and life will go on. Master E'ron would not wish for the members of the Order to seek revenge or morn with a heavy heart. But rather would prefer them to celebrate and drink some Corellian Ale in her name. Her favourite drop.

As the screen opened and the image of Thurion appeared before her, he stands as the new Grand Master of the Order of the Silver Jedi. There is no one more fitting for the Office, a true guardian of the light, and he has given her the honour of Master of the Order, to which she will humbly accept and do her duty to assist the new Grand Master the progress of the Order. Proud of him? yes she is that, but come this duty to him, at the expensive of another and this is no time celebrate is position. There will be time enough for that later.

Coci reached for her lightsaber, and held it in front and ignited her purple blade, in salute to Master E'ron and to the new Grand Master [member="Thurion Heavenshield"].

((Thank you so much for the kind words. I got emotional :p I always do ))

Connor Harrison

Guest
Connor sat on the edge of his bunk and watched the transmission play out before him for the second time. The feeling of losing Grandmaster E'ron was bad enough; the one who had shown him trust in joining the Silver Jedi, and then been loving enough to put him through the punishment he deserved after falling to the Taung but also casting those trusting eyes on him once more when he returned.

Now she was gone. The most trust he ever felt was gone.

The transmission played on his com and came to and end, the glow of Master...Grandmaster Heavenshield fading with his offer to join him in taking the Order forward into the future. If the recent events were anything to go by, it was that the future wasn't written yet; it was what you made it.

Connor's eyes fell slightly. Coci and Thurion were expecting a child and due to be wed, and now they were both standing at the head of the Silver Jedi to take it forward in the way they wanted. He had fought hard, sacrificed himself to protect others and discover the darker secrets out there targeting the Silvers, but for what...obviously nothing as the trust to take the Order wasn't there.

"You're just a kite, Connor, he said to himself almost in a trance, "dancing in a hurricaine."

He tossed the com to the bunk and leant forward on his elbows and sighed, looking up at his new armor gleaming in the moonlight that shone through the window of his chambers...

Even though Hawk had felt the passing of his "old" Master, he needed to hear from someone else. It too hard to believe it. He wipes his eyes. She had guided himself into this world. Now he would have finishing his journey without her sage advice.

He ignites his saber following Coci example. His brilliant blue blade shines down. "May Iella be a guiding force on us all." He says loudly. "May the force be with you Thurion."

Nima Tann

Master of Her Own Destiny
Voice of two clashing lightsabers... Slowly fading light... Then one last time, light got bright and then all it remained was darkness. It was a nightmare. No, it wasn't. It was real... Today was a sad day indeed. A great pain in her chest, loss of a loved one. They were not just like Master and Padawan but in all those years she had become something more with her, even after becoming a Knight, she was always her student, always eager to learn from her. Now listening Master [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] talking about her... death... via the commlink, she felt like dying herself. She lost her teacher, her saviour, and maybe her older sister who always looked after her. Anger,sadness... She just collapsed to the ground, with an expressionless face, a bomb which was seconds away to explode.

She couldn't help her... Couldn't even say goodbye to her... All she could do was sit here thinking everything was going to be okay. Nothing was going to be okay. And now... losing her, she felt like she had lost something in herself too. Nothing turned into anger and hate... She lost herself for a second there and started to throw everything to the ground, the sounds of broken furniture filled the whole house as tears started to appear and drop to the ground as she continued to break all the things around and shouting "Why?!" over and over. Broken glass made her bleed but the rage wasn't going to disappear. "I couldn't even..." She started to breathe faster and faster and she found herself on the ground once again, not able to conceal her emotions anymore, she started to cry. The galaxy just got darker as the star disappeared from the sky.
