A Cluster in Turmoil [ Mando'ade Dominion of Hapes Hex ]

size=4]Hapes Cluster & Japrael Sector[/size]

---/// TRANSMISSION: START \\\---

We thought things couldn't get worse.

For months, it had been an uphill struggle. Our vast lands were reduced to an old flotilla of ships - and a scattered one at that. Our home was on fire. Frankly, it seemed like the end of the fething world. Fortunately, our Mand'alor wasn't the type to toss in the towel, not without a fight at least. He managed to rally more than a few of us...and from there, things finally started to look up. Now, believe you mean when I say Dxun ain't no Mandalore. Neither was Onderon itself for that matter. But when you've got millions of displaced souls on the line, beggars literally cannot be choosers. So, we did what we could - hunkered down and put a roof over some heads. We called it "Sol'yaim". It was the first Mandalorian Colony.

It was a much-needed ray of Sunshine.

It felt as if, for the first time in ages, morale was at an all-time high. We were making progress! We could breathe again...but you know how the story goes. The second things start going right is when the Galaxy starts to fling crap at you. And fling crap it did. Echani. Some cell called House Veneris with an axe to grind. Back in the old days, they would have been like ants to our united Clans. But now they had a chance. They had a single opportunity to kick their ancient rival when they were down. And boy, did they kick hard. The paint on the Colony's walls hadn't even dried when we got the distress calls.

To make matters even worse, there was some weird poodoo going on at Hapes. That was the first signal we received, oddly enough...and when I say bone-chilling, I mean it. Screams. Chatter about gods. More screams...Normally we wouldn't stick our nose where it didn't belong, but we had people on the world. A section of the old Flotilla decided to reach out to Hapes for help...and now they were in even more distress. Suffice it to say, now was the time to start intervening.

So, now you're all caught up. We've got ships headed to Hapes right now to figure out what the actual feth is going on down there. We've also got some fine folks headed over to Taanab to crack some Echani skulls - Manda knows they could use a good beat down. And finally, we've sent an envoy over to Vena. They're in a panic over the Hapes situation, so maybe an offer of our services can calm them down...enough to get a new Colony built.

Any questions? Good.

Reverting to realspace in 3...2...1...

Objective I: A Consumed People
We didn't know what to make of it - the first distress signal. Apparently a fragment of the Flotilla had wandered into the Hapes Cluster and had encountered trouble. It wasn't local defenses from what we've gathered, but something on the ground. Something far worse. Local defenses didn't cause Screams like these. Cries for help like these. People rambling about gods...Whatever the hell hit Hapes hit our folks too. We've got to pull them out of there before there's no one left.

[ Mandalorian refugees have found themselves swept into the whirlwind of Dredge's attack on Hapes. It is up to us to investigate what happened, exfiltrate any survivors, and prevent further harm from coming to our people. ]

Objective II: Stupor
Vena, a world neighboring the Cluster, is in a panic. They don't know anything more than we do about Hapes; they're just as ignorant about who...or what...did it. However, they claim to know that the Hapan Court is dead and suspect that they are next on the chopping block. Call me crazy, but I think we can capitalize on this. It's not the nicest thing to do, mind, but maybe we can work with their anxiety. Chances are, they'd be willing to hear us out - maybe even allow us to build a Colony if we offer our protective services.

[ The Venan royalty is in a panic following the destruction of the Hapan Court. The time has come to take advantage of the moment in order to see a new home for our people rise. ]

Objective III: Bad Blood
The second beacon came from Taanab, a few hours after the first. Apparently, our people were fired upon and several of them crashed. This time, we were lucky enough to get intel on who was responsible. Fething Echani. We didn't come here looking for a grudge match, but the gloves are off now. We need to save the survivors and put a bolt through these pale-skins' heads! Oya!

[ House Veneris has downed several Flotilla craft. It is up to the Mando'ade to liberate the survivors whilst taking down this ancient rival. Time is of the essence...and currently, it's not on our side. ]

Objective IV: BYOO
The Hapes/Onderon Hex is a vast place. Feel free to share your own story!

The ship's sudden jolt woke the bum up with a start.

Hemmrie's eyes adjusted to the darkness of the cargo hold, a cold and foggy atmosphere lit only with the dim reds and greens of the computer systems lining the walls and roof around him. Boxes of cargo and crates of... stuff. That's all they were. They surrounded Hemmrie entirely, like a maze of cargo. Well, that's exactly what it was.

He had no idea where he was going, or where the ship was. The symbols on it were like tall blue and yellow horned skulls. Angry skulls. All painted onto the hulls and engines. He wasn't even invited onboard; he was an uninvited and undiscovered hitchhiker, a man in the boot they used to say on planets like Coruscant.

Hemmrie groaned as he slowly stood up and stretched himself awake. Hyperspace made him sleepy. All the time. But as he slowly woke, a thought crossed his mind. He'd seen those yellow skulls before. They were like a Galactic cult or something; Manticorians or Mandibles, they were something like that. They'd probably sacrifice him if they found him.

Not that they would.

Hemmrie picked up his bag of food, credit chips and rags, and whistled is favourite cantina tune as he climbed atop one of the crates. Wherever the ship landed, that would be where made his move. Another planet, another cantina, another ship, and thus the cycle continued.

Those Cult Mandible's wouldn't be any the wiser, he laughed to himself.

Arisa's formation arrived at Hapes Cluster still with no word from the Hapan government. Much to her horror, she would go on to discover through scattered reports that Ta'a Chume'Dan, the political capital of the Hapese Consortium, had been obliterated. As result, the whole Cluster was in a state of chaos as much of their civilian and military leadership had been killed in one fell swoop. As the remnants of the Hapan government wasn't in any state to provide any comprehensive direction, the Watchman took the initiative and guided her formation straight for Hapes in a series of microjumps on her own. Each jump, the terrible, familiar sensation of sudden mass death became stronger for the veteran.

Upon reversion from the last jump, she was greeted by the devastating sight of a massive molten crater where Ta'a Chume'Dan and much of the surrounding area used to exist. Hundreds of thousands, just gone. She winced at the sight as she could feel the area rife with chaotic energies from death and the residuals of whatever dark entity had been there previously. It took a while for her to speak, struggling to stay composed in the face of such destruction. It would do no one any good for her to break down, she needed to set an example.

"Deploy fighters to conduct global ground scans," she started, voice initially coming out as a croak. "Keep trying to make contact with the rest of the Consortium."

Fighters forming the other rings of her escort immediately broke off into small flights to begin scanning. In the process of reaching out to the local populace, she would learn that some kind of spawn still were rampaging across the planet, and that the Imperial Remnant had begun deploying ground forces. The current hellish visage of the devastation of was not enough to make her forget that the Imperial Remnant was currently at war with the Galactic Alliance. She did not know who to lay blame on for the destruction of Ta'a Chume'Dan, but she would not allow the Imperials to take advantage of the situation to root themselves on Hapes in the midst of sudden power vacuum. However, she was going to be sly about it. She'd say nothing to the IR, but just deploy her units to contain the Imperials as she worked on the primary task neutralizing the outbreaks and rescuing survivors. If they decided to get froggy with her then, they would have to deal with her and the Kiribian Spacy in the neighborhood. Already, KSU patrol units were converging on the Hapes Cluster to investigate.

"Begin issuing hails to the IR vessels in the area for an explanation of events, and a request of their telemetry. Let them know that the Silver Jedi will be assisting in humanitarian efforts on the surface. Colonel Basheer, begin readying ground parties for deployment. Class 4 biohazards are being reported all across the surface, so kit up accordingly."

Through her neural link, she began interfacing with the Allegro's mainframe to plot specific landing points for the ground parties, targeting areas reporting cases of outbreaks. A significant portion of her forces were also tasked for the immediate area surrounding ground zero, much of it now smoldering wastelands. Forces here would focus on rescue ops of any survivors. Drilled specifically for these kinds of missions, it wouldn't take long for ground parties to begin deploying by way of corvettes and shuttles, teams being led by her fellow Jedi.

((Looks like the festivities are done, so now it's just about helping survivors for the SJO. If you any of you need aid or a ride off of Hapes, then feel free to make requests and distress calls and I'll help you regardless of your allegiance, outside of those determined to be in cahoots with our Kaiju friend IC. Expect to be interviewed upon pickup. SJO has come in peace, but will respond to any aggression accordingly, including any attempts by the Imperial Remnant to gain a foothold on Hapes. Doesn't seem like any Hapan PCs are in the house, so I'll be NPCing some to help the plot move forward.))

Dredge said:
What was happening on Hapes was far from over. Even though the capital city was in ruins, all across the planet in major population centers were widespread reports of infected growing in droves. Former citizens of Hapes now turned into black eyed demons with strange pitch black ichor spilling from their mouths, ears, and eyes. Hapes was a planet of billions and when in a close confined urban environments like most developed parts of the Galaxy; disease spread like wildfire. It was like the old Gulag Plague that had killed so many, only this time around the infected were out to turn you into one of them. This was going to be a problem for the planet and it seems that perhaps the IR had the right idea in glassing the planet to make sure this didn't spread to other systems. This was due to increasing numbers of sightings that these weren't your typical zombies spawned by a Sith Lord. They spoke, they could operate vehicles, use weapons, they operated in groups. It was as if they were operating as one cohesive force to spread their disease in concentrated areas rather than the sporadic chaos that Sith or Witch magics had so often used in the past.

And as for Dredge. Well he had not left yet, he wanted to make sure if he wasn't going to have Hapes as his grand statement, then it would be reduced to ash by those looking to stop him. He wanted them to look on in horror as they put down an entire species in order to save other star systems, because this wasn't a disease that could be solved with medicine or science. It was an outbreak brought on by a rogue element of the force that fancied itself God.

So God lifted his hand and moved it over towards the Imperial Remnant troopers who had landed along with the medical and humanitarian teams. The massive being cracked its insane grin and spoke so that his voice carried over the land allowing all to hear the word of God.

"End them my children."

Much like those who had survived the shockwave of the blast, there were a few infected that had as well. So when the massive tower of shadows and evil gave the order, rubble began to stir and figures moved through the debris. As stormtroopers marched through the rubble there would be screams brought on by infected springing out in pairs or trios grabbing hold of stormtroopers by their legs and arms then dragging them into the shadows. Sounds of struggles and fated cries of "no" and "stop" echoed out along with a few blaster shots before it went silent for the process to begin again.

The same went for the medical teams, only they would have the luxury of seeing the infected coming due to just having landed. Twisted grins and smiles of the happiest caliber of madness were strewn across their faces. Ichor covered teeth and eyes approached them and soon a small girl in a bloody yellow dress spoke to the humanitarians.

"Why must you fight me? Don't you want to be happy? Don't you want purpose? All I've done is give these people true purpose and joy, and yet you see me as wrong. Do not fight me my children, your God is kind. For it is not I who rot such destruction upon Hapes, Tis man and their inherent evil that has. The evil in which I intend to cull." The little girl said as the group of infected approached.

"Join me."

Silence answered [member="Jorel Imos"]. Monika remained unmoved as time passed.

[acronym="Pay attention. You're not alone."]The wind[/acronym] picked up for a moment.

Suddenly, Monika looked up. She turned her head around to see Jorel holding a shotgun pointed at her general direction.

Eyes wide open, she said, “Who-

The screeching of a fighter passing overhead cut off Monika’s words. The fighter, under [member="Arisa Yune"]’s command, would have had the opportunity to spot Monika and Jorel.

Sadness.

Written across the face of a young lady that had possibly lost everything she held dear.

A common occurrence in the lower levels of Coruscant.

The young Hapan woman opened her mouth to speak but the explosive sound of object breaking the sound barrier muted her. Jorel's eyes followed the source to the sky where starfighters had just left their gaseous trails. A second later they came upon the brown haired woman before him.

"I'd not stay here any longer if I were you." The agent curtly said gesturing with his shotgun at the ruins around her.

Nothing else.

En Route to Vena

The Mandalorian envoy sent to Vena dropped out of Hyperspace. The planet came into sight of the viewports.

Bestala, journeying with the envoy, looked out to the planet. She and her comrades were to negotiate a trade with the Barony of Vena. Protection in exchange for the Mandalorians to establish a colony.

The people of Vena were naturally isolationist, though.

And the panic within the Barony went beyond the Hapan Crisis…

As the fighter flew above the ruins, Monika plugged her ears with her fingers.

After the fighter passed, Monika removed her hands from her ears. She [acronym="Epicanthix. You'll find it difficult to read his mind. Not impossible, though."]squinted her eyes[/acronym] as [member="Jorel Imos"] spoke. She focused on Jorel’s mouth – reading his lips.

Then, Monika lightly smacked one of her ears. A momentary wince formed on her face as she did so.

Looking back to Jorel, Monika asked him, “Holocomm… do you have one?

The yet another explosive sound of a starfighter passing above made him wince. He seemed to be more resilient to the sound than the Hapan before him. Perhaps it was the Coruscani underground clubs, perhaps it was the lifetime of gunshots.

This time she spoke with no interruption.

A holocomm.

Jorel had one. Or should have had one. After a brief moment of hesitation, he reached for one of the pouches on his utility belt. A small gadget materialized in his hands and the agent took a step forward stretching his hand at her. The firearm hand still clutching the gun.

"Who exactlyare you gonna call?" Jorel asked, confusion in his voice as he nodded at the sky. "Whoever did this would probably be jammimv planet-wide."

"These fighters won't miss us a third time if they hadn't seen us by some chance yet." The agent clarified before his tone turned grim, adding. "Nothing really worth but your life's left."

Jaegis Volasses

IR Captain of the 705th Company
The comms channels exploded with activity.

"-zzzt-verywhere! Rei-ffff-ments Lea-grrrkzzzz-ELP! HEL-zzzzshhh-"
"-706 has been amb-shed! Repeat, -mbushed! Requesting imm-zzzzzt-te assistance!-"
"-No, BT998, get u-zzzzt-et up, you fool! Don't leave m-zzzktt-"

705th Battalion halted its forward march and began to look around urgently, weapons raised to form a defensive, circular formation. The silence was only pierced by the crackling of fire and smoke around them, and the howling of fighters and ships coming down above them. First Officer Volasses felt for his blaster pistol by his belt and drew it, and kept a steady eye and ear on his surroundings.

The emotions he felt were not those of fear or horror; they were of anticipation. Of vigilance.

They would remain steadfast.

"The second you see something move, 705, you shoot it," he spoke quietly as he walked by the ranks of his detachment. "This... plague, this darkness that has taken control, must not leave the plane-"

Jaegis was suddenly interrupted by the pulsing of his holocom. Keeping his eyes on his surroundings, he brought out his personal communicator and switched it on. It beeped to life and a light transmitted a small figure into his hand; his commanding officer from the fleet.

"First Officer Jaegis, this is Commander Galis of the IR Avenger, transmitting new orders for 705th Battalion. We have reports that the Mandalorians's are en-route to Hapes, and the Galactic Alliance may invite themselves to come too. The weakness of the planet may prove against us, for we have reports that a number of other organizations are on their way planetside. We will provide what defense we can from above. Your mission is to contain the threat. Do not let the Empire down."

Before Jaegis could reply, the Holocommunication was cut off. Damn.

"Alright, 705th, you have your orders!" He roared to the company of Stormtroopers. This was all he said before the ambush about them set off.

Blasters fired and Stormtroopers cried out in the fury of battle, as infected individuals crawled from ruins and made mad dashes for the company.

They misunderstood the capabilities of the 705th, and whoever was behind this, First Officer Jaegis would personally stand and kill them himself if he got the chance.

The battle for what was left of Hapes was to begin.

A Potential New Beginning

Monika reached out to take the gadget in [member="Jorel Imos"]’s hands.

Hesitation struck the moment Jorel spoke, though.

Who…” she said with a hushed breath.

Home – destroyed. Parents – dead or buried in the mess that Ta’a Chume’Dan had become. Her personal datapad with all her contacts – lost somewhere in the debris if it even survived.

Nothing left, as Jorel said. Except the [acronym="And you need no device to speak to me..."]whispe̷ri͡n͟g ͞w̧ind͘[/acronym].

For a second, Monika looked toward @Dredge. Several shambling figures seemed to approach Monika and Jorel from that direction. They were still a distance away.

Then, Monika looked toward the Fountain Palace overlooking Ta’a Chume’Dan. It was damaged, but still standing. Yet if anything, the Queen Mother might had been at the Reef Fortress before this crisis began.

Turning her gaze back to Jorel, Monika told him, “I can reach someone in the palace. See if there’s shelter. Somewhere to go.

Monika then attempted to take the gadget that Jorel seemingly offered.

Vitha gripped her lightsaber in the fingers on her wing as the ship came down on the edge of one of the towns. Only about 40km away from the epicenter of the disaster the local security personnel were hard pressed to keep back what could only be described as bus loads of people heading towards the large town. Emergency services had quickly been scrambled towards the blast and had managed to set up a temporary blockade along the direct route to the large town. Aiming to take out engines and using stun shots on what were clearly civilians that had somehow gone insane they managed to slow down the assault. If any failed to go down to stun blasts lethal force was used.

Local government troops had also began to deploy and begin providing air cover. Local commanders were forced to take matters into their own hands and rapidly deploy troops in drop ships to begin setting up both a no fly zone over the town and prevent any ground vehicles from getting near. So far the initial police force had slowed down the assault and was keeping it contained well enough for the troops to set up a second line of defense just outside the town and a third inside it. While most were just armed with blaster rifles some heavier guns and ground vehicles began to roll through the city and would be in position to defend in a matter of minutes.

Fighters and bombers, some local while others were SJO, patrolled around the outskirts of the town. Anything larger then a speeder bike that was flying was going to be shot down. While it would be more ideal to hit them with stun blasts the resources were limited so blaster cannons were used to turn any flying vehicle into a fireball that rapidly plummeted to the ground. Any let through, mostly medical, school buses, and governmental would land in the middle of a containment area that had been hastily set up by SJO forces in one of the parks. Upon landing they would find themselves surrounded by a wall of IX-6 security droids all aiming two sonic rifles and a cannon each directly at them. The weapons would be on stun of course though the sonic rifles would likely knock anybody the ground and damage their eardrums. Medical staff were nearby to provide aid to anyone who needed it however they were each guarded by an IX-6. In total roughly 500 of these droids were being deployed throughout the large town to act as security personnel and with their ability to act as a hive mind if anything occurred or someone got through, the entire force of them would know in under a minute.

The troop transport Vitha was in stopped it's decent right before landing. Opening her comlink she learned that the tactical droid managing this particular town's defenses had redirected them to new coordinates. Pushing through the IX-6 droids and their impassive metal faces the Jedi padawan got to the door leading outside. It was closed shut and the outside wasn't visible.

From what she had gathered she was to assist an apparent army unit of some sort that had been surrounded. The IX-6 droids along with Vitha would land virtually on top of them and the droids would spill out firing stun blasts at anyone who wasn't wearing a military uniform. The drop ship containing a squad of fifteen droids and Vitha would be in position to assist in a roughly four minutes. Two fighters could be heard outside providing escort to her drop ship and the second one containing another fifteen droids. Between the two drop ships a platoon of droid soldiers was available to her.

ooc: Going to see about assisting you Imperials and anyone else on the battlefield as a quick reaction force. Two transports consisting fifteen IX-6 droids each. Something going badly wrong and I'll send Vitha and her unit over to help with containment. IX-6 droids have great short and long range firepower, anti-vehicle capability, and can essentially act as a hive mind. Plus they can't be infected. Send any wounded either to the SJO fleet or the large that the SJO has secured for now. I'm going to assume we have medavac drop ships able to quickly respond.

Jaegis Volasses

IR Captain of the 705th Company
To be in the heat of battle was all that the Echani First Officer ever wanted.

His blaster pistol shot through the head of an infected Gran clawing its way through the rubble towards him, sending the alien to the ground in a pile. A second, one of the Hapan's leapt at from from the side in an attempt to bite him, to transfer its black disease. Jaegis felt the disruption behind him, and quickly turned to grab it by the neck and fling it over him in a swift motion, slamming it face first into the dirt beneath. Blood spattered from the impact, spraying over Jaegis' boots, as he turned to shoot a third and a fourth as they squealed and made for him.

Some were men. Some were women. Some were aliens of such wide and rare cultures.

Some were children.

Orders were orders, and Jaegis wasn't one to disobey his superiors.

The 705th Company stood strong and defended the point, as word of the 707th's position coming around their flank to support the ground force. But this wouldn't be enough, and Jaegis knew this.

"Hold the line, Company! We are the first line of defense, and at this rate, we may be the last! This won't stop us! Fight on, in the name of the Empire!"

The Stormtrooper battalion behind First Officer Jaegis roared in one armour muffled warcry that sang in unison, calling on the creatures. They had suffered casualties, of course; of the fifty they had landed with, only 34 remained, yet they were of iron will and would not fall back unless the order was given.

Though at this rate, they wouldn't have much of a choice.

"Any word from Command, Officer Volasses!?" BF-4486 yelled through his helmet mic. The Echani Officer let off another few shots into the chest of a woman and child, and clicked his earpiece in response.

"Nothing yet. I fear they have their own issues up there! We're on our own!" Jaegis yelled back into his comm, before a dropship off to his right exploded in the air and rained shrapnel down upon them.

It wasn't one of theirs; it was a Hapan ship.

"Reinforcements! They're here!" GA-7934 cheered, setting off a few bolts from his rifle towards a covered area where dozens of the infected stalked.

Jaegis turned to see who their saviors were, and his surprise turned to concern almost immediately; not for the safety of his men, but for the company that came to their aid.

"They aren't ours, men! But right now, any sort of support is appreciated! JI-1030, set off a distress flare; we need an evac, now! We have a chance to regroup!"

The Stormtrooper immediately loaded a flare into the end of his rifle's magazine and fired it into the air beyond them, in hope of gaining the Silver Jedi dropship's attention.

A momentary alliance was necessary in times of catastrophe.

Just as things were looking good and progress was being made, it all went down as the minions of chaos put a hiatus on the long road that the Aka'liit were pacing on. While everything was well on the Dxun and Onderon colonies, that couldn't be said for their neighboring systems. Hapes, Tanaab, and Vena were all in disorder and turmoil. The Mand'alor was the first one out of many to hear the news of these three systems and spread the word to all of his followers. Of course, most of the Galaxy already knew what events were taking place on Hapes but not on the other two star systems.

Unfortunately, the Munin couldn't be at all three events at the same time to support his people; however, the one event that he was mostly interested was the conflict happening on Tanaab. It sparked a burning hatred in him that an ancient rival would open fire on his brethren when they were at a low. He found it as an act of cowardice from the Echani people especially when his warriors had come in peace and not conjuring up that old feud. But it was the Echani who wished to continue that rivalry, and Vilaz would avenge his people and kindly show his wrath to the enemies of his culture.

"Let's show these pale skinned freaks what happens when they decide to shoot at us at any given time," the warrior said to his comrades in the encrypted channel that they all shared. Deep down the Concordian wish to mend the old wound between the two cultures and establish peace between them, but those chances have slimmed down to a low number. Only war was to take place here today, and he was war.

There wasn't enough of them. That much was clear. With a large population planet like Hapes and the complete disarray of forces due to high leadership being gone; Dredge's influence and plague continued to spread and rip through the population. It was as if his disease was a hydra, for every head that was cut two more took its place. So Dredge would need to head the spread on other parts of the planet, the capital was a steaming pile of ruin and there were billions of other Hapan who needed turning across other major population centers. So the good lord above couldn't waste his time on a few small fries trying to save rubble.

Buuut. That didn't mean he couldn't have a little fun before he left the capital in pursuit of further spreading infection. In the distance he could see droids, stormtroopers, and other humanitarian forces trying to fend off his children. He knew it wouldn't be long until that particular little skirmish ended, but it might be fun to scare the day lights out of them. Because what was the point of being God if you couldn't have a little fun with it.

So the massive Zilo beast sized entity walked it's way over to the platoon of stormtroopers and droids, and as it did so the troopers on the ground would be able to see the infected slowly backing away from them. Blackened eyes creeped back into rubble and vanished into the shadows. Everything began to grow eerily still and cold, and when Dredge arrived the stormtroopers would see their doom towering over them like a skyscraper.

"Hello there." Hunching over unnaturally so until it's face was parallel with the ground, Dredge pushed its face up close until he was only a few meters away from the stormtroopers and droids on the ground.

"You all look so... delicious." The shade's mouth opened up to reveal a Cheshire Cat grin filled with razor sharp teeth made of pure white.

"Run little rabbits, run." Dredge said and then struck.

In almost an instance dark tendrils sprung out of the shade's mouth wrapping them around the waists of stormtroopers and pulling them into the entity's maw which no sound or life escaped from. The troopers were outmatched and they probably knew it.

Dredge was just having too much fun to go do what he should probably be doing.

Objective 1 and 4: Evac of Wounded and survivors
Location: Hapes Cluster

These people never rest. She was wondering if Mandalorians can actually settle without having some kind of conflict every five seconds. Every time she gets going in her lab really well, the queen of Alderaan is calling, someone needs something or the Mandalorians needed something. Then the initial reports come in. Hapes cluster situation was bad. If it was possible, it was worse than the Denon situation. The worst thing about the Denon situation was she couldn't fix it, she couldn't do anything about it, she was helpless. If its one feeling she hates more than anything was to feel helpless. Rashae was the one who had the answers, who solved the problems, who's quick thinking and creations provided solutions. Denon raged through her mind in as much as the shock therapy she endured before that. A hand brought her out of those memories as her head jerked more than turned to the side.

Commander?” she would say behind her in a restrained voice in her office.

On it, Minister. “ He nodded as he left her office to coordinate with the Mandalorian fleet for best position for the medical to arrive in.

Rashae got up after he left and wondered if the galaxy has lost its mind in these recent times. It was like no one could do anything without shooting one another. How did she end up with a bunch of people that shoot at each other for fun? Well they were more fun than that she had to admit. The woman shook her head as she got fresh scrubs on and out of her office she went. Down the hall and down the next level where her assistants were soon joining her as she issued orders for mass wounded, casualties and survivors.

Get psych up to par for psych evals, have all trauma and surgical units prepped and warmed up. The corvettes will act as medevac for critical to serious so they can save the medevac transports for the survivors. Coordinate with the Mandalorian units so we can ground triage some. If not we will triage in the landing bay. Green team be ready to go on a moments notice, prep your team. Disease control I need half of you with Green team. I doubt we will have a whole lot of contagion but the other half be vigilant. “ There were nods from the various departments. “This might be a rocky mission guys, don't be heroes. That is all.”

To those who don't know her it would sound cold, harsh maybe. To those who have been working for her for a while, they knew she did care. She would also be in the surgical and trauma units with them.

Teams were prepping to the last second as they came out of warp near the Hapes cluster to be joined by a Mandalorian escort. This made Commander Stephen Cantolas a little more at ease about taking this small convoy into heavily conflicted areas. The affirmations would be brief and short in a militaristic style. The patient elder veteran would know better than to do that. Communications would be established with medevac units advising them where to send the wounded soldiers and wounded survivors. After the wounded, regular survivors can be processed and have psych evals performed considering the reports of whats going on. Heavy psychological trauma would be a definite.

"Commander.. We accept any and all wounded. we are emergency support" Officially that would be the word. The medical corvettes were constructed and created by Ashhearth Industries. It carried the general neutral medical sign and no other insignia other than being emergency support. "This has potential to get messy." She said as she looked at out of the bridge screen as they placed their convoy at a safe distance. The medical corvettes would be deployed to start taking on the wounded, women and children survivors. The commander could only nod to what Rashae said. No one had to say a word as everyone tightened up their sphincters and prepared for a long day.

Nolan strode up to the side of his Manda'lor and locked his bucket in place. The HUD booted up, accessing all of the information from his vod and from the fleet. The life signs of dozens of nearby allies lined the side of his view, then the comms "clicked" showing the transponder had synchronized to the appropriate channel. Next Nolan ran a weapons check, he'd be fielding the MC-76 railgun. Effective range of 800 meters, 60 round caseless 7.62mm ammunition, bipod and select fire modes. He'd used it on Hypori with great results and decided to add it to his arsenal.

"I'm ready when you are O' wise and powerful leader of us raggedy rebel rousers." He jested to his long time friend.

Nolan wasn't here for great tides of war, he was here because Vilaz requested and one did not miss out on the chance to squash some bullies.

Amongst the missionaries from the Aka'liit, was the giant known as Titan. In full armor and weaponry, he was there to provide security for those seeking peace, though Titan felt that he was unnecessary, that none would think to attack the isolationist locals. Manda'lor asked for volunteers to go and provide a diplomatic solution for the people of Vena, in the hopes of creating a trade system with them and establishing a colony in case the future of the planet ever came under attack by outsiders.

Shouldering the Reaver heavy repeater, he filled in with the rank and file and moved to the transports and made ready to make landfall.

A Potential New Beginning

The Hapan started saying something and again paused. There was no fighter this time to interrupt her, just her own thoughts. Being closer to her now, Jorel could possibly come to the conclusion that she might have been asking for his identity.

The agent didn't act upon it but followed her eyes.

The massive figure far in the distance and some figures slowly approaching them. A chill ran through his spine. He felt like he did not want to stay and have a meet-n-greet with those.

Jorel looked back into the mournful eyes of the woman before him as she turned her attention back to him.

He let her take the communication device from his hand. The agent was reluctant to do so but perhaps a deep gut feeling of responsibility within him made him still stay here and not leave. Jorel had once been a federal agent and a before that a cop in the underlevels of Coruscant.

It was hard to shake off that 'serve and protect' dogma.

"Go ahead." Jorel gestured at her to proceed. "I doubt there's anyone there listening and I doubt you'd receive anything but static."

Could've been less blunt.

The agent drew out a long sigh before he continued less bluntly than before.

"Look, I don't plan on staying here till whatever that is comes over here. I don't think you should either."

"I remember we grew up together," Ardgal mused as Virgil placed the gauntlets over her warlord's fists. All around him, his most trusted troops were donning the Ardgal'gam on their fearless leader. It was a process that too many hands and a great deal of time.

"I remember we used to train and fight together. We were a team that couldn't be beat," he gave a slight smirk, "You were always a little better than me."

"You memory is coming back then?" the woman asked stoically. At times he wished she would just take off her helmet so he could see behind that mask.

"Pieces, bits and pieces," he affirmed, "But I remember you were different then. Somewhat. You would take your helmet off sometimes, you were always stronger than me. Faster, somehow you just always knew how to beat me," he paused waiting for a re sponse. The only sound that filled the room was the faint hum of the ship moving though hyperspace and the tools at work. "What happened?"

"You should know more than anyone else," Virgil said, fastening Ardgal's breastplate, "Having your soul ripped out changes you."

Her words were not laced with malice, anger, or furry. In fact they were so calm it was eerie. But Ardgal knew he had done that to her, and if he had any feelings in him, he would have felt intense sorrow. As it was, all he could feel was a calm sense of registering, acknowledgment that Vong-shaping had twisted her personality the same way it had strengthened her body. He could empathize--at least if he had the ability to feel empathy--with what that was like.

"And we are coming out of hyperspace," Virgil said after tilting her head to the side, 'We are in the Tanaab Sytem."

"Give me holos of our a'liit," Ardgal requested from the tech officer on deck. The soldiers around him moved away and the forms of Stardust and Jack appeared before him as he made contact, "Su'cuy, Vode," he said, folding his hands behind his back, "You should be sending the data pack with what my intel sources have gathered in a few seconds, including the two locations we spotted for the downed flotilla. Intel says she snapped in half on her way down. Let's see who we can rescue from that. It is a pleasure to be working with you vode." He paused, "any questions?"

Why was The past seemed to come up? Especially those that have recently died? Stardust was not surprised, but it was a calling she had to answer, some of her people when they had fled left with others, so when she was contacted about investigating a few downed ships....she couldn't say no and abandon the people in need

Stardust this time instead of taking the imahalyans light, took a smaller frigate with a few people of clan raxis on board the ship, she was setting aboard the ship when a officer came up and whispered to her, she nodded as she stood and walked to the holoroom and crossed her arms, she looked at the two before her as she nodded to jack. She was still uneasy about him...but she would forgive him and let the wounds mend

She listned as she received the packet on her hud as she nodded and blinked clearing it, she then spoke

su'cuy vod, been a long time since I've seen you two....it looks like we have quite the fight ahead of us finding these people, I recommend sending me into the ship, with my force sight and such I can locate people in the ship and if need be cut people out

She said as she went quiet
