A Darkness To Uncover

Location: Temporary Space Station Above Ambria

Xavka stood, staring out of one of the windows of the space station he had been living on for the past few days previous. Bellow him sprawled the planet of Ambria, a desert planet with a weak heat, the deserts stopped from dominating the entire surface by rivers and sea and flowed between the land masses. The planet was steeped in Darkness towards the north where Lake Nath could be found, the origins of the Hssiss. But it was not the northern land that drew Xavka's yellow eyes, one sharp and the other dull with blindness, it was a continent in the southern hemisphere.

Years before, long before Xavka had found himself a member of the Sith, back when he had been exploring he reclaimed freedom by exploring the galaxy, he had visited the planet's surface and camped planet side for months. He had been plagued by a voice, one that whispered into the back of his mind when he sleapt and guide him somewhere when he awoke.

One day, one of his last days on the planet, he had given into the allure of the whispers and followed them. After stumbling through desert and crossing a sea, Xavka had been brought to a temple in the middle of the land. Upon seeing it, he had been driven to his knees as a maleficent force pressed onto his mind, the coldness seeping into his skin and driving visions of death into his skull. The experience had overwhelmed him and he had soon left.

It was only now that he had returned, only know that he understood what had happened. He had stumbled across a Temple where the Darkness of the Force resided, a place where death had come and sweapt through like a disease. The resting place of a spirit that called him to it. And, from looking through the visions by usage of meditation, the home of a Sect that specialised in Assassination.

Now he stood, staring down at the planet, waiting for Darth Ferus's arrival. As soon as he had understood what had happened he had approached Ferus and commandeered an expedition crew and made them his archaeologists. For days they had covered the land and only now had they found it, found the Temple of the Sect of the Dark Night. Found the home of a destroyed group of assassins. Found what he assumed to be a store of knowledge.

Knowledge. Knowledge was power to some. To many, actually. Ferus was one of those people, despite his more.. Mindless actions. Seemingly random and impulsive, he had grown a fascination and respect for knowledge not only to be found, but given. He shared most of his knowledge willingly, to strengthen all Sith. Not all of it of course, but most. But when [member="Xavka Duquo"] approached him with something not only new, but something that could assist all of the Assassins, well. War couldn't say no.

Approaching from behind the boy Ferus walked, stepping up right beside him to look out of the same window the boy himself was. The planet itself was.. Boring. Something like that. To Ferus at least. What he really wanted was that damned temple the Zabrak had spoken of. Red eyes flicked over to the younger man, and the voice of the Sith would call out.

"I am here now. Shall we not waste time and begin?"

The sound of approaching footsteps was what first alerted Xavka to Ferus's approach, before the elder of the two came to a stop next to the tanned Zabrak. However, neither of these events were able to brake the hold the presence on the south of the planet held over Xavka. Instead, it took Ferus addressing him directly to brake him from the haze he had fallen into. Turning slightly, Xavka directed his attention to the Sith stood next to him before returning to the planet before him.

"Greetings, Ey'Adar. I hope you had a pleasant trip here." A smirk crossed Xavka's lips momentarily as he let the silence hang between them, his yellow gaze still fixed on the desert planet. However it only took a few seconds before the smirk was wiped from his lips as an emotionless and professional mask dropped over his features.

"But you are correct, let us not delay." Xavka turned to face the exit of the deck, sweeping an arm for Ferus to walk with him, hesitating for a second until Ferus was a stride ahead of him before following. As they walked, Xavka made sure to never truly draw equal to nor ahead of Ferus.

"We shouldn't have to wait long until we're planet side, I already have a drop shuttle preped to transport us to the LZ, the Home Base from which we have been conducting our ground missions. Now, I take it that you have been briefed on the situation here? The why and the discoveries made?"
