A day with dad

Abandoned ruins

It was one of the rare occasions Serenity got to spend with her dad. Not that it was something she necessarily enjoyed, but it was certainly a refreshing taste compared to what she did on a usual basis. As she climbed the walls of the abandoned settlement the two had found themselves on around Alderaan, her home planet she asked him many questions. Some he answered, some he ignored, and some he went into elaborate detail regarding. This rare occasion was also accompanied with her leaving her best friend, Zaps - The Minigun behind; of course she would tell him what they talked about when she picked him up again the beginning of the trail, in a brush hidden from passerbys. Not that there would be many, on-top of this historic site they found themselves exploring. The scenic areas of this abandoned ruin site were breath-taking to some, she just didn't see the appeal. Who wants to look at old-buildings anyway? You can't blow them up. Sometimes, she would occasionally lose her balance as her father would assist her in re-adjusting; leading to some mild laughter as the two continued the journey. A few chirping noises and shifting in the bushes also startled her, but alas they turned out to be nothing but local wild-life. There were few moments of silence, often took up by Serenity's babbling about her life.

Her thoughts were usually scrambled, but she had lots of questions for this experienced man. They could range from a mathematics answer to a deep philosophical question that would confuse even the greatest minds of the galaxy. As she began to open her mouth she almost fell again on top of him

"So..."

Stupid vine. She tripped and a child-like scream came out as she came tumbling down towards the considerably older man, her arms flailing in the air

"C'mon... C'mon! Where the hell is it?!"
D'vok knew it had to be here. He remembered it clear as day. Old ruins on Alderaan. D'vok climbed a crumbling steeple, trying to get a view.
"Of all the times to forget where something is..."
D'vok cupped his hands around his eyes to block the sun. It was a sunny day, and the light was blinding. He jumped down from the steeple, onto a relatively intact roof, of what appeared to be an old church? A castle? D'vok wasn't sure. D'vok never liked churches. Religion was something he was not accustomed to. That's why he was so reluctant to the force. That didn't matter now. He was fully focused on finding it. He saw a small glimmer in the distance. Was that it? D'vok was certain. He locked his eyes, and...

Damn it! The girl's scream caught D'vok off guard, and caused him to jump. The pressure of D'vok landing must've been the breaking point for the old building. D'vok dove off at the last second, as the roof caved in, causing the walls and the steeple to come crashing down onto the new hole, with a loud crash that could be heard for miles around.

"You know, you're rather clumsy." Rather gently the elder man pressed a finger to the girls forehead to keep her up, a frown settled on his lips. [member="Serenity LoveHeart"] , his daughter. The frown turned into that of a smile though as he kept her on her feet. "I'm obviously going to have to teach you how not to fall so easily." A playful quip. He would have continued, if not for the sudden sound of the nearby building collapsing. With a frown once again on his lips he looked over to where the sound came from.

"Well. I suppose we should check that out."

A hand would cover her mouth as she starts giggling to herself. As she heard the sounds of the building collapsing, she sort of sniggered in response to her father's suggestion. She looked at him with gleaming eyes; "Who cares, oh Dad did I tell you got I got a new job? Well... it's not really a job I just hang out there sometimes. Zaps really likes it, but he hates the boss. I don't know how much I'm into it either, they're always so sad there and never have any fun" she sighs heavily "Oh what do you work as? Are you an astronaut? A chef? Are you and mom still together? What happened to my sister?" As she spoke her voice got ever-increasingly faster and would begin to sound very excited, her pitch would raise slightly with every question and she would almost walk faster as well, subconsciously going to the collapsed building, presumably because her father told her. She also climbs down from the ruined walls and starts inspecting the wild-life, as if she knows what each and every-one of them are, when in reality she doesn't know the difference between any of them. They all look the same to her. As she was asking the questions she would look to her father and accidentally place her hand on a very sharp variant, causing her to recoil. "Why is there so many dangerous things here.." Her middle finger would start to bleed as she looks over to her father, looking for assistance and starting to tear up.

"I'm a Sith child. Your mother is dead, I killed her. Your sister is alive, somewhere. I'm currently hunting her down due to her betrayal." These answeres were given rather casually to [member="Serenity LoveHeart"] , despite how dark of a subject they were. Perhaps that was the problem with the Sith Lord and his parenting. Years upon years of bathing in the dark had deadened him to these sort of delicate situations. And then, she pricked her finger. A brow raised as he looked down to the blood, a bit confused on what exactly she wanted. Of course, eventually it hit him and he ripped off a piece of cloth from his head wrap and wrapped it around her finger, but he still looked rather confused.

Was his child truly this soft?

As she held her finger, the two continued to walk now slowly approaching the ruins of the building that collapsed. It must've been some old house, abandoned now with moss growing on it, without a word she sprinted back down the trail that they walked here on to retrieve her minigun, and she found him lying right where she left him. As she picked him up and hugged him she whispered "Oh I've missed you...". She made a quick sprint back to the place they were standing and said "Oh, sorry about that I forgot Zaps" as she turned to the building with the gun aimed at it. The gun's cannons would start to spin and a whirring noise could be heard as it unleashed a volley of multi-coloured blaster bolts into it. "Come out come out Mister Ghosty!"

The blaster bolts would thud into the building, but as it repeatedly hit it over 100 times, the building's side wall would eventually smash, causing some of the wall now to be empty. She'd turn to her dad and say "Did I do good? Can I get one of those light-torch-saber-sword-thingys?" She always wanted one, a pink one to be precise. It was her favourite colour. She looked at her dad with puppy-dog eyes and a hopeful smile, awaiting for his response patiently, casually as the building's wall was broken.

The blaster fire completely destroyed any trace of the building, the last standing wall smashing to the ground with a resounding thud. D'vok, on the other hand, a few yards away from the building, stood up and ducked for cover as soon as the fire started, yelling as loud as he could
"Hey! HEY HEYHEYHEYHEYHEYHEY! STOPSTOPSTOP! I COME IN PEACE! PEACE I SWEAR!"
As the fire stopped, D'vok raised his hands up as high as he could on the ground, visible to [member="Serenity LoveHeart"] and [member="Darth Ferox"]. He quickly looked at them, not compromising his position. A girl. She looked young, but she had just about the biggest gun he'd ever seen. The other one, a sith. D'vok hated sith with a burning passion. Sith were all talk to D'vok. He despised them for their arrogance, their morals, and their tyranny.
